First visit Friday 21st Jan for an early tea. Busy with locals drinking. We were made very welcome and our food was served promptly and hot. Thoroughly enjoyed our tea and will return.

I stopped here on a motorhome stop over. The owners, there staff and all the locals made me and my dog feel very welcome. Food was very good and very reasonably priced. Gt Houghton is a pretty village with lots of good walks

My first visit. Friendly welcome and prompt service, a varied menu to suit many palates. The range of Ales is impressive and I enjoyed my 'Tiger' which took me back to the late seventies in Loughborough. The pub was clean and others were having lunch ahead of us with clean plates being returned to the kitchen. The internal style looked a bit dated for my liking but this might be perfect for their regulars?

A very nice pub, plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the few days of good summer weather when they arrive. The menu is extensive with lots of traditional classics and there's a good selection of beers and cider.

Been ages since I've been here I had forgotten what a fantastic little pub this is bit late getting there for lunch but not a problem made to feel welcome and fantastic food at a brilliant price. Will definitely be going back
