Looking for a traditional pub that's all about the beer? We'll look no further, Kings Head has a fantastic choice of cask ales, Belgian beers and real ciders. A simple, authentic interior and great atmosphere. A pub for the discerning drinker....i love it...

Cracking drinkers' bar strongly leaning to the real ale side but with some entertaining foreign/semi-exotic to keep the others somewhat content (if they can work out what to order). Bar billiards gets a certain extra point and surviving on a shopping street as part of the terrace makes this pub very unusual in Norwich. Stays open late, has a partnership with Ruth's across the road to provide licence which only commends both businesses. Strong following from the locals which drives a healthy atmosphere. Gem

Been here a couple of times now when visiting friends in Norwich and it's always been a staple pub to visit for ale drinkers. Great range of beers, friendly, welcoming staff and just a general nice place to visit. Pretty sure we'll be dropping in again next time we're in Norwich.

A renowned Norwich pub in Magdalen Street. Can see why it's won many awards. Good quick efficient table service, thorough disinfecting of tables and chairs once clientele vacated. This and the perspex screens didn't degrade the atmosphere and ambiance. Plus a wide range of quality beers, ales, foreign bottled lagers on offer.

Nice pub and no complaints about the beer. It was however a bit concerning that my partners glass had somebody's lipstick on it. Surely in this present climate with Covid still prevelant, extra care would be taken to ensure extra levels of hygiene. The glass was exchanged, and a fresh drink provided without any problem, but it should never have been an issue in the first place.

Several visits pre and post Covid restrictions have proven this pub to live up to its award winning reputation, a mixed clientele but with knowledge bar staff who provide some of the best ales and level of service in the county. Each visit I've been made to feel welcome and at ease. Traditional pubs such as this are often a thing of the past but with this traditional approach it really showcases the best of pub culture in Norwich and Norfolk. A must visit.

Very cosy pub with a warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. There are few places like this where the historic traditional pub Interiors are kept in such a lovely old building. Nice selection of very reasonably priced Ales.

In a city with an unequalled choice of excellent real ale pubs, this pub must offer the best range of beers. We came here yesterday after the exodus from the Beer Festival and really enjoyed the five beers we drank. There were even more tempting ales to try out, but we had already imbibed in another pub and at the Beer Festival prior to coming to the King's Head, so discretion was the better part of valour.

A fantastic proper pub. No piped music, food menu consists of peanuts and pig snacks and there is a huge variety of ever changing, beautifully kept ales with knowledgeable, friendly staff behind the jump. They remember your name too!

A favourite destination when enjoying a pint or two of ale in Norwich. It was a very enjoyable session, with a nice selection of popular ales available from local breweries. Social distancing meant that the amount of tables was slightly reduced but we sat and enjoyed several drinks. It was table service only but we were looked after and hope to go back soon. In times when enjoying a nice pint in your favourite pub can be challenging, the staff have got everything right. Support Safe Supping 👍

Excellent proper pub. Brilliant real ale, kept exceptionally well. A key pub to visit for anyone who likes a traditional pub. Bar games, books and a lovely little fire to cosy up to also available. The pub doesn't do food but has the classic snacks to go with your pint. Takes part in the City of Ale annual event and is within stumbling distance of St Andrews Hall, home of Norwich Beer Festival. Also within spitting distance of 3 good curry houses. What more could you want?

Great beers, bar billiards, all set in a traditional wood lined pub. What's not to like? They've always got something interesting on tap as well, and the staff are lovely.

Traditional old pub charm, a bit rough and ready but clean and friendly. Wide range of beers on tap including beers from Fat Cat brewery. I sampled Fat Cat's 'Black Elder' from one of the pumps - a delicious sweet berry flavoured porter.

I was only a visitor to Norwich, but going into this pub this was like travelling back 20 years. In a good way! It really took me back to how all pubs were when I started drinking. It's simply old-fashioned boozer, and proud of it. I loved it. A good selection of beers, not just the ubiquitous 'hoppy golden'.

Nice pub, had the burger and a pint for 10£ deal. Turns out by a pint they mean Amstel or Heineken... Burger was okay but my friend order one of the normal burner menu and it was waaay better!
