Reviews of The Maltsters
L. B.
Beautiful location.
Friendly hard working staff.
Amazing food, very reasonably priced.
Thankyou all at The Maltsters, we will definitely return.
The seafood platter looked amazing!
We were very impressed with our sharing picnic platter lunch. So much for the price, and everything of top quality standard and delicious. The staff boxed up what we couldn't eat to take home.
We would recommend this place 100%.
Book your table as it fills up quickly due to its popularity.

Lovely pint and a picnic board. Owner could see I was cycling on my own and brought out a box for me to take leftovers home. I'll let the picture speak for itself but suffice to say it was cheaper than a main and no chance of finishing!

We went out for my birthday, we saw the Maltsters online and thought we would give it a try.
You have to want go there to find it, but it is worth the trip!
It looks great its in a great location, the staff are great and the food too.
Its not pretentious fiod, proper pub fare, scampi, burgers, fish and chips but it is well cooked and there is plenty of it!
I had a burger, it was home made and honest, coukd have done with some more seasoning fir my taste but it was great, the onion rings were nit greasy and the chips were good.
My lady had the Scampi and again, nicely cooked with Tartar sauce and chips.
Outside is a lovely covered area and plenty of soace for dining alfresco.
Loads of parking, ckean toilets and across the road from the Broads.
What a find.

Beautiful food, great service, with a huge range of Beers Wines and Spirits.
A proper place to chill outside by the river, or by a log fire on the inside.
Either way, this place hits all of the right spots.

Great location near the broad. Good sized car park, available for free overnight campervan stays if you eat in the pub. Good food although maybe a little pricey. There is a pizza hut in the pub garden which is good value. Several real ales on tap.

Came here twice in one day (once at lunch time and then again later in the evening). Visited while on a 7 day boating holiday. Such a nice friendly atmosphere here, the burger and chips were delicious. I drank San Miguel and later in the evening, came back for drinks outs again and dish of chips, then sticky toffee pudding with Ice Cream. Great quantities and quality.
Service is not timed right though with serving meals, just wish they would time the food so that we would all be eating at near enough the same at our table. There were 4 of us and 2 people's dinners arrived first then 5 minutes later someone else and last mine took the longest 10 minutes while everyone had nearly finished their dinner and was on to their second drink.
If I'm ever back in the area, I'll come here again.

Lovely pub with friendly staff.
Sadly I just missed out on the ploughman's sharer platter on the day we visited. It looked excellent and I was certainly jealous of the tables who managed to order before it ran out!
The Goats cheese sharer was an excellent second choice and we enjoyed some fantastic local beers with our lunch. The kids shared a pizza from the outside kitchen and demolished the whole thing.
If you're in the area or moored up on a boating holiday, I can certainly recommend stopping for lunch, dinner or even a quick pint.

Set in quiet rural location
Next to a lake with yaughts
Gorgeous views
Friendly busy staff
And even a pizza hut in the garden !!!
Biggest hanging baskets I have ever seen !!!
C. T.
Pub is set in a nice location, with some good outdoor seating and plenty of tables. Customer service was also a positive and the interior decor was inviting.
Unfortunately, the food didn't really meet our expectations. We didn't enjoy the flavours and for the price were hoping for better. Overall the prices were quite steep, or maybe that's just due to the high inflation rate.
We maybe back in future, but possibly just drop in for a drink next time though.

After a quick boat trip on my bro in laws new boat nothing better than sitting in the Maltsters having a very nice coffee and massive bowl of chips very clean friendly warm and inviting place I'm sure I will be back in the summer of 2023

Just had a brilliant lunch had the sea food platter for two. Was excellent that was the last one left. So very happy as thats what I was hoping to eat. The staff are really lovely. So helpful and kind. Even said they could pack up what we leave too. Thanks for making are day.
J. F.
Nice pub. Friendly staff. Unprompted they provided a water bowl for our dog. The beer was nice, the food was good with above average portion size and reasonably priced. Nice location and a well presented hostelry. Well worth a visit.
J. A.
Brill location and very very busy in the summer, beers are good and food was ok. Best was the pizzas freshly made though it did take a while to get them. You do feel a little like you are in a machine as they process through all the customers. Will visit again though!
L. W.
A decent pub with reasonable selection although no menu on website and a lot of the things on the menu in the pub were out of stock and not many ales. The desserts were great.
E. B.
What a delight to find a pub that does food both quality and a fair price. Their lunch time picnic platter is both excellent value and excellent quality. Plenty of REAL ham cut from the bone, plenty of fresh chunky cut cheese, home made pork pie and sausage roll, real baked chunky farmhouse bread, real herb butter along with mustard and sweet pickle. All for around £14 with way too much food for 2. Excellent will be back for another. (Real = not being re constituted or mass baked produce that many other establishments pass off as home made)
K. F.
Good food, Do takeaway. Great portions ... Had 2 X portion chips x 2 X onion rings for 3 of us to go with homecooked steak (on boat).. Huge amount of takeaway. At first prices looked over the top. But when food was served. Good sizes for monies and tasted great
L. M.
Read some worrying reports on this venue happy to say for us they were not correct.
We took a party of 10.
7 adults and 3 Kids pizza’ looked and tasted amazing
Service we found was good, helpful staff, food good, simple and well Cooked great location
We will go back next time we are down in this area
Lol Sheffield
J. G.
Great staff, friendly and welcoming, and can park a campervan for free if u drink and eat there. Food is OK and wine in small bottles so not great. However my partner liked the beer.
M. F.
Very friendly pub in lovely setting.
Had linguine for dinner, I thought tasted very nice but just way too much sauce, my partner hated it and could not eat it.
Staff very nice and quick service.
Drinks very good price, but think the pasta was a little overpriced.
R. M.
Third visit for us when visiting the Broads. Lovely location by the water, large inside and outdoor seating areas. Was busy the day we visited and staff did an amazing job to do their best to serve everyone. Pizzas are delicious. Will without question return.
L. G.
Very nice food and a pizza bar outside. Although it took a while to receive it. Our grandaughter has allergies and we needed to know what she could eat , very helpful staff brought their book out for us so we could see for ourselves.
A. M.
What a lovely location along the edge of the river bank. There was a great atmosphere being so busy. Of course a sunny day hels. Parking is free but the car was rammed the day we visited in August but I managed to park on the road just up from the place where there's no restrictions.
B. H.
Visited whilst on a Broads day cruise from Wroxham (about 2 hours to here) - easy to moor nearby. Great setting, plenty of tables, and a choice of pizza from the ovens in the garden, or a more traditional meal. Good service and good food - recommend a visit.
S. S.
Great place, good atmosphere and excellent food. We always stop here if we can get a mooring. The view of The Broads from the top of the church tower is amazing. See you in May.
A. M.
Long time since our last visit. Great meal, seems as though menu has been limited since our last visit.
J. S.
My husband and I called in here today first time in several year's.
And what a delightful pub it is!
It's obviously been refurbished since we were there before but it's been done very tastefully!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and one in particular Kennedy was a delightful young woman and chatted with us for a few minutes! Obviously wouldn't be able to do this at busy times though!
Although Cheddar cheese salad wasn't on the menu the chef was more than happy to do one for me and I must say it was delicious with proper Cheddar cheese not this pre grated tasteless stuff and extremely nicely presented!
We will definitely be returning throughout the winter months as we have a boat and can get a mooring unfortunately in the summer months it's not so easy!
Well done and thank you to all the staff!
B. K. R. H.
Fab pub and garden overlooking the Staithe. Big car park. Can get a stone baked pizza from their outside pizza area if you don't want to order from their menu.
Lovely place to visit with walks and the Wildlife Trust, and the broad.
G. W.
Really nice meal here - usual sorts of pub fare with some homemade items. Decent portions (chips were especially good the day we were there) and also a specialist pizza place. Can get very busy in summer so I'd suggest get there promptly.
t. g.
Great friendly happy smiling staff.. Covid mindful & safe. So helpful allowing me to park in their carpark overnight whilst we spent a day n evening on a boat visiting our children / grandchildren. Enjoyed a few nice drinks, local beer Wherry well kept , Our children said that the pizza at night was Great..
J. O.
Excellent food and service. We visited while on a boating holiday on the Broads in the first week after lockdown. Every other place before seemed to be struggling to get back in the groove, but the Mallsters were doing very well. Wait staff were very attentive, and responsive, and managing very well as the garden seating filled up. Very covid safe practices.
G. B.
No finer place on the Broads to enjoy good food and drink and superb views. Dog friendly. Large car park and further public parking near by. Some nice walks start near by.
A. S.
Dissapointing as it promised so much. Pizza from the outside hut was slow as the single member of staff was overwhelmed, although very nice when it arrived. Meal from pub ordinary at best, goats cheese with stale bread, uninspiring bowl of pasta. Lovely location and pub looks great, perhaps the kitchen was also short staffed? Overall, looks like a newly refurbished gastropub but food didn't warrant the prices.
W. H.
Nice little pub. Good beer selection and right on the broads. There a nice walk to Ranworth Broad from here and the church. The out door pizza hut is a touch too
K. W.
Really nice pub, great views and close to the nature reserve if you fancy a walk. Long wait for drinks but the fresh pizza is worth it.
G.
A truly stunning pub! The decor was superb, the food was out of this world! and the staff were welcoming and very friendly! It's definitely a must visit! 🤟🤟🤟
S. D.
The Malsters kitchen was out of service for dinner last night, which meant everyone was making use of the outside pizza oven which came with a 2 hour wait. A deck of cards and some drinks and the time soon passed and the food was lovely. Would return if in the area.
M. O.
Lovely pub, missed the old pool table though!
M. W.
Food was excellent, but go with an appetite cos the portions are huge !!
Staff were efficient and a pleasure to talk to, the pub is clean and cozy, we'll definitely be back 😀
B. H.
Very welcoming. warm and spacious. Food delicious had the picnic platter enough for two well worth a visit
P. D.
Enjoyable and well run broads pub at Ranworth, moorings near by too. It's old and historic, but modernized to be large and family or group friendly. Bit on the pricey side, but in fairness you would expect that. Nice staff, good service and great food. If you really want to earn your pint or meal, I suggest you visit the near by church and climb the stairs to the very top of the tower for the most spectacular views! Top tip!
J. Y.
Lovely broadland pub, didn't try food. Good homely feel, but never quite same since the ship bow bar was removed.
d. c.
Nice pub, good beer, friendly and attentive staff. Just one criticism the smoked haddock chowder was tasty and the artisan bread was excellent but the chowder was far too thick.
K. K.
Managed to get a mooring at the staithe which can be difficult at times and had lunch. Food was lovely and the staff very welcoming.
A. L.
Lovely place to visit on the broad. Good range of food and drinks. Staff very helpful and cheery.
B. l.
Absolutely one of the best places to dine out on the broads, the food is fantastic and more so the staff especially the Romanian girl what a fantastic host, will be back in May, thanks all at the malsters Absolutely brilliant in every way.lee Beamish and family.
C. S.
Food good. Service could have been better, although the staff were very nice.
Ordering at the bar didn't really work as the barman was overloaded and very stressed. To the point where we didn't bother to order after dinner tea or the dog biscuits as the queue at the bar was long and the guy serving was very stressed.
L. P.
Wonderful inn and staff fantastic, friendly and thoughtful. Dog friendly so everyone happy. Was able to stay overnight in the car park and enjoyed a nice tasty meal as was the deal. Thank you. Will def visit again.
M. P.
Always lovely to visit here! I love their freshly cooked pizzas from the outside ‘Pizza Den’. The staff are so friendly especially Gary & Caron.
I. S.
Nice pub, seafood platter tasted great but let down by tasteless prawns. Very pleasant staff.
E. M.
We always eat here on our Norfolk boating holiday. This year it was not up to scratch 🙁
The quality of the food was disappointing, quality of the meat.
This will not stop us visiting next year!
S.
Wonderful fine in a beautiful location. We were on a boating holiday for 10 days and definitely needed sometime other than chips. We had the sea food platter for 2. Absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Would throughly recommend it.
L. 0. G.
Visited for tea last night. Opted for pizza, young lads where helpfull explained the procedure to order, Yes it was very busy but was told there was a wait which was fine
On receiving the pizza lads apologised for delay. Pizza was lovely great service.
V. V.
Overall a good stay in our MH. Unfortunately when we went for our evening meal it was a bit hectic as they short staffed for the evening.. But the food was very nice and good beer too..
D. C.
Poor menu hardly any vegetarian dishes available, No chicken dishes. Most of the draught beers unavailable. Visit 10th May. Food that was served (Fish & skinny Chips) was of reasonable quality but would not normally have been my 1st choice from a pub menu..
B. E.
Great place to stop especially with the boat if you can get a mooring. Nice pub that has recently been modernised and has a fantastic pizza.
S. C.
Very nice.
Inside like a lot of places in the area set out like a cafe but lovely outside. Stunning location.
C. H.
Lovely pub friendly staff dog friednly and food we had was very good though did feel menu was not as good or have variety it used to..but still great meal and pub
A. D.
Recommended. Scenic. Lovely staff. Not sure what the hype is about though. 5star to me is something exceptional.
Nothing negative to say, but nothing to shout about either
S. W.
Fantastic seafood sharing board. Lovely and helpful staff. Fabulous location pleasant atmosphere
S. B.
When on holiday after lock down we managed to Moor here was brilliant ...so tried again yesterday ...not a chance of mooring so tried again today ....so need a bridge from the island because so many miss out at this little diamond tucked away
Prices are the usual down her i had prawn and salmon salad/ new pots
Worth the money ....grandaughter had a pizza made lovely ...hubby had linguini......lovely bar the plastic in the meal he took it to a server who just threw it in thr bin ....not good enough I'm afraid
So went in spoke to what looked like a supervisor the kitchen needed to know ...no one came to see us ...but we're really busy .....bar this 1000% recommend
J. A.
A little hidden gem mainly used by boaters from ranworth staithe. Well laid out and helpful staff. Good choice of ales beers wines gins etc. Good menu choice but we had pizza from the den which you can choose your own toppings for a reasonable price. Opens 11am and is next to car park and WC. 24hrs. Not too noisy and relaxed atmosphere. Dog friendly as they have water bowls and blankets for dogs. Kudos to this place for making the effort for their customers.
L. S.
Lovely, well-presented food in good portions. We will definitely return.
H. S.
Pub in Ranworth. Good food and some great drink choices too. Lots of outdoor seating for the nicer weather.
C. P.
Great pub, lovely setting, good food and staff. Busy but efficient.
M. S.
Moored our boat here for the first time in many years, and will be back again soon. Lovely friendly staff, service and food was first class.
L. R.
Food was lovely. Massive portions though. Lovely staff, dog friendly.
C. P.
Very good quality of service and food excellent. Lovely surroundings and log burning fires definitely recommend that you go there
D. S.
Lovy pub in a great situation, though we didn't eat the menu looked lovely
M. R.
Loved the place ,clean, excellent menu in a beautiful sitting.
Unfortunately my ham tart ,not so good, the pastry not cooked through and unable to eat it.
Show this to a member of staff, she apologised and said would tell chef as I left.
J. G.
We visited the pub while on a few days break it’s in a beautiful location by the river. We opted for the picnic board and we weren’t disappointed it was absolutely delicious everything was fresh and very tasty and a great price, the staff were very friendly and helpful would highly recommend it visit
M. P.
Really good pub, nice location, good choice of beers and reasonably priced. Didn't eat there but what I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good.
M. E.
Great place to eat! Good food nicely cooked.
We were lucky enough to sit outside in their pleasent garden to eat on a sunny day. Inside also looked very comfortable.
G. C.
Good clean and a good selection of ale's close to free morings. Dogs welcome with good outside seating area. Well impressed.
D. K.
The staff here are lovely and it's such a beautiful setting! Plus they're super dog friendly and the treats that they sell are always a winner! The only thing which could be improved is the food is often a little overcooked when you're in tourist season. It doesnt really detract from the experience though, but just a heads up if you come here in summer. Throughout low season when it's quieter the food is definitely a higher quality. We really love it here though, especially the open fire after a wet autumn walk :)
S. C.
Was here on the 19th of June 22 its a very nice place and food nice but please get the poor girls some help, one behind the bar long queue and the girl bringing the food out was here there and everywhere felt sorry for them two men walked out because they didn't want to wait, the toilets were none to clean,
S. M. (.
Great food, and very helpful staff. We arrived just before last orders and the waiters and waitresses were very accommodating and got our order in very promptly. We had pub grub, but there is pizza there too, which was smelling very good. Took a little while to bring the bill out when we asked for it, but we were in no rush whatsoever, and enjoyed the gorgeous evening. In fairness we did leave late so many of the staff had gone by that point, so I don't hold that against them whatsoever, and wouldn't hesitate to go again. We were moored at Barton broad.
T. W.
We've visited The Malsters many times over the yeard on our trips to the Norfolk Broads. As always we had good food and enjoyed quality beer on tap, served in good time. I would have perhaps ordered from the 'Pizza Den', which was supposedly open, but on popping outside there were no staff present and no menu displaying what could have been ordered.
I will say that this year I found the toilets to be less than satisfactory and in definite need of renovation.
Staff are pleasant and efficient.
E. B.
Brilliant food and lovely staff!
Highly recommend the chowder and the pizza!
W. H.
Food delicious, freshly made and staff very friendly. A lovely setting to dine outdoors.
l. w.
Excellent food staff were really lovely too x
J. M.
Lovely setting near Ranworth Broad. Had a build your own pizza and pint of dry cider. Smashing.
C. M.
Nice pub grub in the heart of the broads, serving was quick with a good selection of choices, including for vegetarian, outside area well kept imagine it to be quite busy during the summer months, well priced for location
P. F.
Lovely food .. friendly staff. We had a great evening.
P. L.
Good food and very friendly and helpful staff, especially Kennedy behind the bar. Very dog friendly pub as well.
W. C.
Good staff, good food, portions are very generous !
S. T.
Very dog friendly pub.Pleasant surroundings with a good menu and helpful staff.Worth a visit.
K.
Most of the staff are very young but they are friendly and eager to please. The food was really good including the steaks. They probably should get someone to sort out the electrics in the gents though.
P. P.
Amazing food friendly staff. Would love to go back again if I lived closer
J. T.
Very popular pub \restaurant. Outside pizza hut and ice cream stall. Plenty of outdoor tables.
S. P.
The Maltsters is a pleasant country pub, well located just across the road from Ranworth Broad. There is a large carpark as well as moorings. Plentiful seating both inside and out. The pub itself has had a fairly recent refurbishment and has a charming nautical feel to it. It also has a new pizza "shack" oven in the garden which seems very popular with the boat visitors.
A good selection of beers and ales are available on tap, with regular pub food and Sunday roasts also available.
A. N.
Just had a fabulous lunch for 3 today (Saturday) after going for a walk. The Goats Cheese & Olive Bread starter was great for sharing and our main courses were all delicious, with generous portions.
F. P.
Food was very good and a generous size portions. The staff were really good but the decor was a bit plain but overall a good place for a meal and I would definitely go again.
M. S.
Very nice outside dining area. Excellent pizza.
S. P.
Great venue, lovely by the broads, friendly and helpful staff. Shared a platter, wow enormous.
J. K.
Great pub food was very tasty. Worth a visit
R. W.
Food was OK worst thing of all was having to shear my lunch with wasps to which my kids hated. We didn't even finish our food.
L. C.
Lovely pub - place of mine and my husband's first date so holds special memories for us! Food is lovely, would recommend
L. F.
We arrived a little early eve meals not open till 6 pm. But worth the wait. So sat outside Once we found a table ordered meals and were served quickly. All staff members were friendly and polite. Food was good all four of us enjoyed our meals didn't order desert as too full
Plates were collected quickly. We visited there after we moored the boat so was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem of a place. Def one of the better ones on the Norfolk broads.
S. M.
Restricted menu today so probably not the best day to comment on. We didn't eat here. Staff were lovely though and pub / restaurant area spotless so will try again soon.
C. S.
Great food offering a decent bar menu and very reasonable price, also have a pizza shack. Staff were brilliant and went all out to help when a very heavy storm came over. Certainly the best pub we stopped off at whilst on the Broads. Big thumbs up
D. J.
Great place to pass an hour or two. Lovely walks near by. Great scenery. Nice food too.
t. m.
Nice simple little pub by the river....
Foods ok...nothing special just basic... and as a vegan hardly any choices....
R. L.
Had a beautiful lunch and afternoon drink at The Maltsters.
The staff were very helpful, and had a great knowledge. The menu had a amazing selection of dishes, with a wide choice of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
The food we ordered was presented quickly and tasted great.
I have been coming to The Maltsters for many years and the pub and food is better than ever.
M. C.
A Very pleasant pub in a beautiful location... staff were very friendly and the food served promptly and piping hot. A limited menu of the usual pub range... food of good quality definitely worth a visit if looking for good honest simple pub food. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try their pizza bar (attached to the pub) but this continues to serve food after they don't. The 4 🌟 review is given for the watery taste of the ?full fat coke.
J. W.
Amazing location right on the waters
Edge. There is quite a bit to spend the afternoon doing too. Walk up the road to the church to take the very narrow staircase is a must and nice swamp nature walk is also great. If you score this pub less than 4 you have no soul! Food great, they even have a pizza den! Staff are nice and friendly so 5 stars from us.
D. H.
Great pub good meals great staff nice selection of food and crinks
D. M.
It was a good pub and decent service. Friendly people and nice outdoor space.
My only gripe was that they kinda sold the pizzas as fresh and homemade... but then I noticed one of the workers putting hundreds of premade pizza bases into the fridge (the cardboard kind that you get from the supermarket). They were OK but don't go expecting a lovely sourdough base with chewy crust.
A. L.
Staff were excellent although very busy, they were attentive and polite.
Really nice pub to enjoy the afternoon.
The pizzas are great if you don’t want a full meal.
We will be back!
A. K.
Unfortunately there was a problem in kitchen so no hot food but we tried the build you pizza and it was delicious
M. W.
Friendly staff and decent pub grub.
P. C.
2 excellent real ales on, superb menu, friendly service and ambience, and well priced, we'll be back 👍 10/10
P. J.
Went here for brewery and a pint if gluten free beer, no gluten free beer. Nice place
j. s.
First time here and we will definitely be returning. The food was scrummy! My first taste of falafel. 😋
Manager Jake is awesome. Such a refreshing change to be able to have a bit of humorous banter but remain professional 👌
And the young lady, who's first day it was, sorry I can't remember her name, must have tired of me talking about my allotment and birds 😆
Thank you 😊
B. S.
Friendly welcoming staff, excellent pizza's, what's not to like!
H. S.
Fantastic food and great service in a lovely setting, highly recommend!
S. M.
An OK pub with a restaurant next to the staithe at Ranworth. Food was quite good (the tagine was excellent) but the place feels like a partly empty warehouse at the moment, possible due to safe-distancing and it being early in the season. May become more socialable later.
B. N.
Lovely staff, had a nice laugh with them while they poured our drinks
D. A.
Lovely food and staff. Great location
B. W.
Lots of indoors and outdoors seating. Can be busy. Food was good. Pizza Den also there which was a nice addition which the kids enjoyed.
C. M.
Met here for organised Greyhound walk. Establishment is very dog friendly with water bowls inside and the outside eating area is on my places to go in summer. Will definitely come again 😃
D. N.
Fantastic food as always,excellent servicex
M. C.
Lovely place right near Ranworth Broad. You can park your boat or car 20 yds away. There's a pizza oven outside, bar food inside. The local ale selection is pretty good, usually 3 or 4 on tap. Dog friendly, the shop over the road sells doggy ice cream. The pub itself sells doggy treats and supplies water bowls outside.
D. Q.
Went for food to avoid the rain.
Pizza in the garden is a great idea and so simple to order. very tasty.
Pub is lovely inside and all staff are helpful and friendly.
A. M.
Very lovely pub. Local to me but haven't been for months. Like what they've done and the service is great.
My only problem is that none of the food is suitable for my dietary needs but very few places are as I am almost fat free. Maybe more of a salad or jacket potato choice.
J. M.
Lovely pub, nice & clean, nice choice on menu & drinks. Good staff, special mention for Amy who went above & beyond what's expected, we can't say thank you enough. Definitely recommend
K. M.
Nice place next to the broads. Great pizza.
D. e.
Great place idyllic location, open fires etc.
P. H.
Lovely food and reasonably priced
E. P.
Nice little pub with nice outside area. Has an outside pizza shack that was edible but nothing special. Luckily I ordered as it opened one day because within 30 minutes they were telling people it would be 45 mins for a pizza! It actually took 30 minutes for ours! They are pre made bases as well. It was being run by two young kids though so hardly Italian specialists. Went back in the evening and got a lasagne which was nice enough without being spectacular. Just traditional decent pub grub. Friendly staff. Decent overall and would return if in the area. Need to speed up the pizza shack though. Should be no more than 10 - 15mins from order to delivery at all times.
R. H.
Your average tourist pub with average pub food menu. Staff were very busy but still polite and efficient. It does have plenty of seating outside and a pizza oven for eat in and take away though.
L. L.
Lovely pizzas and friendly host. Well worth a visit set by one of the most beautiful broads in Norfolk
A. G.
Great place . Met some friends and decided to have bite to eat on spec. Good service and didn't have to wait long. Nice real fire ( wood burner ) and dog friendly
B. g.
Good beer. Nice location. What else can I say

Went there last summer and it was really nice. Still a nice place to go for a visit, but the food not good this time. Some of it is out of the freezer and fried.
A. S.
Very slow service, understand it was Bank Holiday but the queue for the bar was endless and the tables across the road on the lawn were covered in bird droppings
A little bit more help required obviously
s. k.
Great food and an easy atmosphere.
i. w.
Had a nice lunch there with my wife and father in law, very nice
A. H.
Lovely food, nice place
D. V.
Real beautiful setting and out of the way, well worth a look food is great with a pizza shed or den..
We will be going back very soon
V. R.
Went for evening meal Tuesday night, great place to visit and great food.
Employee Mark top man, we had a groupon that we couldn't get from our phone ! Mark went the extra mile for us and sorted it. Pity that we had dogs barking in the restaurant and a big thanks to the load mouth women that liked to hear the sound of her own voice and wouldn't shut up absolutely brill !
D. D.
Moor at Ranworth, the Maltsters is worth the money to eat and drink, the food was very filling can't fault it the staff are so friendly
H. R.
The service was polite and attentive, but the food took a very long time to arrive. Mine was disappointing (microwaved vegetable tart, not very tasty with salad out of a bag) but other meals we ordered were pretty good.
L. T.
A busy little pub but they can still keep covid rules well. An outside pizza oven is used for take away and a full dinner menu also available. The staff are lovely.
M. C.
Great quiet setting in a sleepy part of the Norfolk broads. Situated within spitting distance of the broad itself and with some local attractions within easy walking distance such as the nature reserve and church. Good food, great service.
M. E.
Fab finding for our first trip on the broads. Perfect location, lovely presented pub and the service and food faultless. Would certainly recommend a stop here for food and drinks.
H. L.
In my opinion the drinks and food are fairly expensive but they have a captive audience and people pay it.
J. H.
Excellent meal, lovely coffee and the staff were cheerful
P. W.
Great spot to launch a kayak and paddle on Ranworth Broad. Parking, pub (shut of course) shop.
M. B.
Brilliant place! Food great, staff great. We were allowed to stay in the car park overnight in our motorhome making the experience even better with no constraints.
Highly recommended
K. L.
Nice place to have a drink and the food was lovely
G. R.
The meal was awesome. Hunter's chicken.
The chips we're better than mother made !!!
Will be going back again, and again.
A. L.
Very nice pub, we sat outside as it was very busy and had a pizza from the pizza den it was very nice had a choice of different size pizzas and toppings. You can take your dog with you as they are allowed both inside and outside the pub which is great it does get very busy in summer tho is it's close proximity to a small boat mooring area so everyone gets off the boats and into the pub!
A. S.
Try the seafood platter for 2. Best out there!
N. S.
Wonderful location, great ale and pizza! Will happily revisit.
S. N.
Great location Good food
Pizzas excellent
N. W.
Really nice food everytime we've been. The staff were really very polite when we last visited. Whenever we go on the Norfolk broads we always make sure to stop here as the atmosphere is amazing, it is not too far to walk from where you moore the boat up and just a thoroughly enjoyable experience everytime. If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would. Highly recommend.
P. W.
Only stopped for a quick drink but its clean tidy a good drink and the staff are friendly and polite
B. M.
The food was to a very good standard.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Dog friendly
J. W.
Great place for overnight stay shop pub cafe (food)
Y. R.
Sunday lunch was enormous at this very popular pub. Definitely worth booking if there is a large party. Food portions are very generous, well cooked and seasoned. Good variety of meat and veggie options should please most diners.
M. H.
Excellent beer and friendly staff. Didn't eat put food looked great. An efficient one way system that complied with the rules whilst maintaining a good pub experience.
P. T.
The decor and general atmosphere were the strongest points.
Range of beers was limited.
Food menu also fairly standard and the delivery of food was a little disappointing. All was fine, but lacked any sense of special.
Staff seemed happy to be there, but not over the moon that we were there. Again, nothing to complain about, but equally nothing to write home about.
A. B.
Lovely food, not over priced, good selection of drinks and very nice staff
V. S.
Very bad service menu hardly any choice been here many times before but won't be back .four of us and we didn't get to eat all together as had to wait for other meals to arrive .
J. T.
Fabulous food, Fabulous service, well worth a visit. You definitely won't break the bank eating here, portion sizes are amazing and if there's nothing you fancy on the menu you can choose one of there fabulous pizzas, cooked to order!!
N. G.
The best thing about this pub are the wood fired pizzas that are available, they are delicious. The staff were also very good. But the cleanliness of the pub was not very good. The toilets were very dirty and smelly. It's a shame that a pub in such a prime location is let down by this factor. A better cleaning regime would really help this place.
S. D.
Dog friendly. Even had special beer for them. Big helpings and helpful staff. Would go again.
M. H.
Lovely friendly staff. Very dog friendly. Even sell their own organic dog treats for charity. Plenty of out door dining space and good food.
L. W.
Only had a beer but food look nice very welcoming pub
D. P.
New outdoor area is super and food is good. It's a shame that although only 2 miles from Woodfordes they don't stock the beer but they do have Adnams (almost as good!).
H. W.
Great atmosphere, good tasty food and super service at this pub. We also get free pitch in the car park for our campervan. This is our second visit. We have had four meals including the pizza from the outdoor pizza oven (good takeaway), two main courses (very tasty) and a breakfast which was fine. No idea why previous review was so bad as we have only been happy. Also great local ales which keeps my husband very happy!
E. F.
We stopped at Ranworth board form our boat and had a great pizza here. They were really generous with the toppings and have a good choice.
Would have been better if the bases were freshly made instead of brought in frozen, especially when it's so cheep and easy to make your own.
Lovely staff.
G. D.
Nice cosy place with a lovely atmosphere, nice staff,
M. W.
Very friendly staff and dog friendly too (in and out) really good food, it had an outdoor pizza bar as well as the usual pub grub.
Plenty of parking.
C. S.
The Maltsters is a wonderful place for the whole family, including your dog.
They are very dog friendly, they have dog stations for water and even sell dog treats at the bar, and are situated right on the broads.
The food is absolutely gorgeous and good value for money.
Would highly recommend, whether you are on holiday on the broads or want to go for a relaxed meal out.
There is also a very large car park. 😀
R. M.
The restaurant was very good .not too crowded do didn't feel unsafe. The food was excellent and plenty of it. Too full for desert. Hope to visit again when in the area
D. H.
Lovely pub by the river. Mooring for boats on the broads. A nice tea shop nearby. Good range of beers. Friendly staff.
S. H.
Great setting but woeful, overpriced pizza. The guys who make it were nice, however paying £9 for an individual pizza with the quality of a late night kebab shop is crazy. Have a drink in the sun, but skip eating.
J. L.
Good selection of beers, the food is average. Good seating area outside with a pizza kiosk cooking to order to eat there or take away. It is located next to Ranworth Broad with access to boat trips etc. A lovely setting.
B. I.
We loved this pub. We were cold and tired after a wonderfuls days sailing and when we entered this pub they made us feel so welcome. They couldn't have been more helpful. The fire was alight, the beer was flowing and the food was stunning.
Thank you everyone who works here.
N. R.
Food was good, service was not as good as previous occasions. Took a while for anyone to approach us to order drinks or food and I don't think table cleaning was as thorough as on previous times.
a. R.
Lovely quaint pub with very friendly staff. Food was delicious 😋
M. B.
We wanted take away fish and chips, we were on a boat and mum didn't want to get off. I told the barman that we only wanted small portions and he suggested sharing the fish as it was very big, a few extra chips. I added garden peas, there was a choice. I had half a pint of Ghost ship bear and before I had finished the meal was ready in a box with lemon slice tartar sauce etc, the peas were in a plastic box. It came to less than.. £15
M. R.
Good beer and friendly service. And very convenient for Broads travellers
G. C.
Ordered beer ordered food ordered second beer hr and a half later I enquired about our food met with a million apologies the girl had not put it through xx so got given a bottle of wine and free pizza so was put very right xx it's a beautiful pub xx
D. T.
Lovely countryside pub. Cozy atmosphere and a real fire. Friendly helpful staff. Fabulous meal accompanied with real ale. Good value. Will definitely be going again
D. B.
Great food, sociable atmosphere and super location with real ales and guest ales I highly recommend this place.
M. B.
Was very pleasantly surprised by both the quality and the price of the food. I had a beef Sunday roast and it was excellent. The beef was well cooked and it came with a good amount of vegetables and potatoes. The braised ribs were also lovely and inexpensive. The location itself was also pleasant very near Ranworth broad. The pub is itself traditionally built and styled. There was an ok but not extensive selection of draught beer that was also not expensive. The service was good but the staff were a little inexperienced and didn’t seem to always completely understand what I asked for, but were professional nonetheless. All in a very positive experience, I would definitely recommend and would go back again.
H. R.
Food pricey and decidedly average. Chips had an aftertaste of old oil and the “jerk chicken” burger flavours were all over the place. Still it’s the only joint in town and the garden is nice.
D. H.
Really delightful old public house..but fresh and great decor inside...ale was excellent.. first class staffing and a local robin visits in the eating area.
Y. S.
Excellent staff, very helpful couldn't of done enough for us, lad dark hair, really put himself out, definitely going back Excellent food
L. W.
Visited The Maltsters yesterday, 15 Feb 2022 and we were very impressed with the attentive staff, who were very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Highly recommended, and we will DEFINITELY be back!
p. C.
Lovely Visit to a very Welcoming pub had a few Drinks and some lovely food the pub is also happy to bring water bowls for dogs , Plenty of outdoor seating with a lovely view of the broad , Thanks to all the staff for some exceptional service especially has the pub was very busy , We stayed the night in our campervan on the car park opposite the pub ,We will certainly be back to The Maltsters when we visit the area again
Phil & Sarah
S. W.
Very pretty pub by Ranworth Broad. Good menu and novel bar and cooking arrangements with normal kitchen supplemented by outside bar and pizza chalet. Food was good for our group of five. Fish and chips was stonking, as was veggie curry. Nine inch pizza enough for one very hungry person or two less able people! Four herby bangers in the sausage and mash - a record in my experience. Prices very reasonable. Will detour for another visit when next in the area.
P. B.
Nice location.
Plenty of space, felt covid safe.
Pizza's were good. Gluten free pizza available
K. L.
Good meal, but long wait, staff shortage.
J. C.
Lovely atmosphere, garden and bar opposite Norfolk broads. A good place to sit and relax. Polite friendly staff, reasonably prices food and beverages. Nice to have the pizza den too.
g. h.
Love ut great one of My favourite pubs on our trip
P. W.
What a place, what a pub, in a stunning location.Had the ribeye steak last night and it was superb. The staff are so nice and friendly, it makes you think why am i living in that crime infested cocaine drugged up city London.
S. B.
Comfortable pub, good food and covid precautions well done. Enjoyed our Sunday lunch and drinks immensely. Plenty of parking as well.
K. G.
The food was very good and when it arrived it was nice and warm too.
R. P.
Situated close to Ranworth Broad and the moorings this pub can get very busy at times.
We went for lunch on an internet deal which included two courses and a soft or alcoholic drink.
Our main course of fish and chips was quite generous and for sweet we had a delicious treacle and ginger tart. A selection of real ales were available.
P. W.
A long wait to order and even longer to receive the food. Need more staff outside as the ones there were rushed off their feet. Weather very hot so very busy.
D. W.
Good food and beer and pleasant staff. Lovely warm fire in the colder months. A couple of years ago they stopped selling Doom Bar but have got it back now which is a bonus for me personally.
C. B.
It was quiet in there but it was in the middle of winter. A cosy open fire down one end.
Winter menu much different from summer menu which I did prefer as there wasn't much of a choice on main courses it was much the sameness. I plumped for the home made humus followed by a cheese and red onion chutney bagette as the mains were too rich for me.
Does get busy in summer months with the tourists on the broads.
Staff polite friendly and attentive.
B. M.
Pub environment is brilliant. Food and service is fantastic. Very dog friendly. Perfect for the locals in the broadland area and people visiting the broads in the summer
A. M.
Lovely food Best burger I have had in along time service was great bearing in mind it was there first day open April 12 21 after the covid rules changed
D. G.
Good selection of real ale
B. C.
Lovley Pizza, from the front of bar and super friendly staff, Pizza was fresh and well cooked, somone needs to speak to staff serving behind bar, one bar staff on phone looking at Facebook whilst serving drinks and chatting to another member of staff whom was sitting down, which is fine but no real interaction with customer, made one feel one was in the way, shame really as a nice venue
N. S.
A fantastic mother's day meal, enjoyed in comfort. Today was our second visit and once again we weren't disappointed. We popped in for coffee after a walk on the nearby Ranworth Broad and being Mother's day expected it to be full. Despite all tables being booked the staff found somewhere we could sit indoors and stay for some lunch. Being an ambulant wheelchair ♿ user they positioned me near an entrance and there was somewhere undercover for my wheelchair, there is also a radar key disabled toilet opposite the pub. The pub served excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and there is a fantastic array of food and drinks available. We will definitely be returning.
D. P.
Amazing and very friendly staff. The kids were very happy with the desserts.
N. T.
Recently refurbished. The maltsters is a favourite place to go having taken the dog for a walk. The outside pizza den is great in the summer, and the open fire is perfect for cosy winter days. Dogs welcome in the pub
P. R.
Was in at the weekend, not the busiest of times but food was great, staff are friendly and a nice atmosphere.
D. N.
Fantastic atmosphere, lush food, great location, lovely staff... nice to get out for a pint in the sun.
A. M.
Great little village pub situated next to the Norfolk broads, with access by boat, car or foot. Does a great Sunday roast and has awesome outdoor Pizza oven in the garden during the summer.
H. K.
Beautiful setting with lovely food. Staff seemed a little lost whilst serving and unfortunately we visited on a day when the wasps outnumbered the people which made the experience an unhappy one. Would visit again but only because it's the only restaurant there 😶
G. L.
Great food great service great beer and great staff, all covid restrictions were in place and adhered to, so good in fact, we've visited a few times on this holiday. Highly Recommended.
D. E.
This pub is a true gem on the broads. We called in for lunch whilst cruising on the broads and were not disappointed. The staff were some of the best I've come across, polite, professional, friendly and helpful. The meals were fantastic, the cod huge and the childrens meals just right.
As we were moored at Ranworth Staith (Malthouse broad), just across the road, we returned for pizzas in the evening. Did I mention they have a pizza hut outside, great beer garden and an idylic location!
C. A.
Great food and lovely staff. O and the beer fantastic
A. W.
We had a lovely meal here couple of nights ago. Very cosy by the fire. Staff were very friendy. Dog was welcomed. Food was excellent with generous portions. Can't understand the negative comments! Would recommend to anyone.
P. T.
Maybe I'm being to hard but it took 10 or 15 minutes to be attended
J. H.
Nice little pub, been here many times. The bar has a very small selection of drinks, mum wanted a Martini but had to settle for a Coke.
S. K.
Very busy with current government 'eat out to help out' scheme. An hour and a half wait for food which was advised up front prior to ordering.
Staff very friendly and service very good, tasty food and beautiful setting.
P. M.
Went once in the summer and once in the winter, summer was really good, ended up here after a walk and had a great beer, great location looking over the broad. Winter was okay, staff not overly friendly and food wasn't the best. Would definitely go again for a beer though.
A. T.
Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Dog friendly. Lovely fire. Close to the water. Have not tried the food. Hense 4 stars. White hot chocolate amazing. Child friendly.
D. A.
Lovely food and helpful friendly staff.
j. l.
Sat outside for a drink, lovely pub inside and out
M. S.
Lovely food, very nice atmosphere. Children and dogs welcome and next to the broads
B. k.
Nice pub. Busy at times. Good selection of ales.
j. d.
Piesa man and.staff spot on thanks for good end to day
B. P.
Great food and service. The new menu has some great new dishes. I had the beef skirt and it was perfect, great cut of beef skirt with lovely rich gravy. We’ll be back!
I. H.
Superb seafood platter for 2.
R. S.
Such a beautiful place to sit and eat pizza outside. Always get great service from both the pizza den and the pub!
P. B.
Great little pub, amazing staff doing an amazing job at a very difficult time! Pizza tasted amazing and the 2nd one I ordered they even delivered to our boat!
G. K.
Gorgeous souroundings topped with great meal. Polite staff and really clean premises. Memorable day completed by visiting the near by church tower. 89 steps two ladders and a trap door. Do it.
O. J.
Allows dogs in the bar area which is good for us dog owners. Great family pub feel and a great selection of birth good and drinks. Would definately recommend and will most certainly return there again. Also very close to the mooorings at malthouse broad.
J. L.
Lovely lunch at The Maltsters today. Highly recommend the prawn baguette. Great food, great staff, great service. Thank you.
M. L.
A lovely place to stop for a bite to eat and drink and there is a national park close by to visit
K. S.
Lovely out door bit over the road from pub ..as it was busy and we had our dogs . Lovely day with a crisp J&T
A. M.
Visited on Christmas Eve. Food, service and atmosphere was fantastic. Portions huge. Welcome could not of been more friendly and such good value for money. We'll be visiting Ranworth Maltsters again and highly recommend it to others.
E. F.
This is the first pub I've ever come to which served humpty dumpty beer, which as a fan of their beer and supporting smaller brewers was a wonderful surprise and a big thumbs up. I ordered the garden (veggie) burger with guacamole and cheese, which overall was ok, but I little overpriced for what it was. I thought £1 extra for cheese and £1.50 for guacamole was also a little excessive.
I should also mention at this point that I found a dead fly in my chips, however they did prompty replace them. So in conclusion, friendly staff, good beer, free wifi, warm atmosphere and average food. Would I go there again? Yes. Would I eat there again? Possibly yes, but it wouldn't be my first choice
C. J.
Called here on our penultimate day of our boating holiday last week.Lovely place, food great & friendly staff. Will definitely call again .
R. L.
Had a nice time and a good meal (Hunters Chicken), reasonable prices for food on the Broads. Beers prices higher than other Broads pubs. But a pleasant establishment all the times I have visited.
C. A.
Ample seating and wet drinks served by a West country barmen. Stopped in for some drinks and a place to charge our laptops while we drank a few choice ales. Had the option to run a tab rather than fiddling around with change and then after we finished they allowed to purchase take out to drink on the boat. Food looked like they standard pub fayre and from the sound of a different table they had ran out of a few things although it was bank holiday monday
R. T.
We had got a Groupon voucher for two full breakfasts and this they certainly were and with a plateful of toast too so we only had to pay for the tea and coffee on the day! It was raining outside but still felt cosy and welcoming inside. Laura is a great asset to the business as she was very competent and friendly! We'll come back on a warm day and sit outside in the extensive seating area and over looking Ranworth Broad!
S. W.
Had a lovely time as usual at The Maltesers. Good food including pizzas from the Pizza hut, friendly, welcoming staff & a good atmosphere.
L. A.
We went to The Maltesers for a bit to eat and enjoy the view.
Food was spot in and not over priced.
Service was good,
Nice to see the owner making time to talk to the customer's.
s. e.
Nice pub in lovely surroundings. Good food and dog friendly. Large outside area with pizza bar. Popular with holiday boaters and locals
A. M.
Lovely pub good beer didn't try the food but it looked great and smelt really nice.
p. b.
Oldy, worldly pub with a good choice of food. Service was fine and quality of the food good. Does takeaway service for pizza, too.
S. L.
Ordered 4 meals and only 3 came after about 3 minutes we asked where the salad was and they then brought it through. The reason I gave3 was because we complained and the manager straight away apologised and have us a free round of drinks and didn't have to pay for the salad
J. M.
Bit off the beaten track.
Comfortable, attractive pub.
Outside seating.
Great view out over Ranworth Broad.
Ideal stop off if you are on a boat.
P. B.
What a fantastic place, very pretty, food was incredible and the staff very friendly. Will be returning soon for more falafel and roasted veg tart.
J. H.
Lovely pizza and desserts
S. W.
Excellent meal and superb service in well thought out COVID safe environment. New refurbishment is very fresh and pleading to the eye.
R. B.
Picnic sharer board and diy pizza, lovely stop
J. M.
What a fantastic little broads pub. Great selection of beers, great menu and they even have an outside pizza den where there's a great selection of pizza toppings to choose from
n. b.
Good pub and really friendly staff. Lots of outside seating in a lovely location.
G. S.
Very nice food we got fish and chips mushy peas. Was really good. A very nice pub friendly staff wheelchair accessible.
C. n.
Dirty plates left on tables outside for 2hrs at least! Plenty of flies around due to this incident happened Mon 9th August 2021
C. N.
Lasagne was great. Good selection of ales. Pizza’s were popular. Quiet night in car park in camper.
S. M.
Lovely pub at Ranworth Broad. Reasonably priced good food, although the batter on my cod was a bit soggy. Loos were a bit smelly, and could do with a revamp!
J. C.
We stayed here in there car park in our motorhome . We had a very nice meal and the beer was very good. A busy place over looking the broad. Highly recommended.
d. w.
Visited mid week for lunch and was not disappointed. Very friendly welcome, great service and the food was superb with very generous proportions. Thank you.
w. a.
Excellent setting. Food pretty good. Beer good. Bar staff could of been a bit more switched on but it was busy.
S. V.
A pub with a great garden and outdoor pizza oven
K. S.
Beautiful food, nice atmosphere, family and dig friendly.
J. G.
In the current circumstances for them to cater for 8 of us at a moments notice was superb and the food was even better
p. a.
Very popular, trending with families and the future looks bright.
M. H.
Nice pub. Shame that when we went the food was a problem. Limited menu. Problem in kitchen. But I do like it there. Will return.
A. B.
A few beers to choice. We had the pizza from the pizza bar in the garden. The portions are huge and the topping is immense.
a. s.
Nice place food was good and staff ultra friendly. Dog friendly too.
P. M.
Great menu, lovely view
p.
Opens 11am arrived 2mins early welcomed in cozy bar with open fire roaring away friendly staff only had drinks but was good (they also sell cigarettes Tobac paper and filter)
I. N.
Nice but not exceptional, felt more like a chain pub than what the location deserves.
S. C.
Great staff, friendly atmosphere, great food and drink offering. Much improved over when we visited last year 👍
K. B.
Very welcoming with a lovely warm fire and friendly staff. Will come in the summer for a meal as it's a real beauty spot.
V. N. H.
Really great food .
D. H.
Nice food and staff. Highly recommended. Unfortunately can't say the same for the shop opposite where staff were blatantly rude ! Don't go in!
N. D.
Great setting...good service
D. M.
The location is wonderful however it has a chain pub feel. Food is good and I had Christmas dinner there one year when we went sailing on Christmas day.
A. P.
Excellent. Menu looks pricey but you get loads of food and it's really good quality. I'll be eating there again for certain
P. H.
Clean and fresh. Great location and decent food
T. B.
Good quality pub food. Pizza den was great for the kids.
C. H.
Decent pub grub. Recently redecorated. Lovely location. Perfect for the broads and right opposite the free
Moorings on Ranworth broad outside the Norfolk Wildlife Trust office
R. N.
I have travelled to this Restaurant /Public House for many years on my visits to the Broads
This year I was met with a different ethos
For many years they have had a very steady Sunday lunch business
This year a change of chef or a change of direction led me to Scampi Steak Lasagne Chicken Burgers etc
We were quite firmly told Sunday lunches started in October or later
The food was exceptional if not a little expensive we were kept waiting as Rugby was on and that crowd was occupying staff already underpressure
I had Lasagne my wife had sausage and mash (NO GRAVY) and my son Burger and chips
I was a bit taken aback at cost but I suppose you pay for quality but that goes with atmosphere style staff etc
I will return but will be mindful of cost
I. D.
Good food but a bit touristy in high season handy for the boat trips and short walks around the broad -very limited car parking
D. G.
Great food.big portions. Amazing burgers. Good beer.
M. H.
Always love coming here. Great food, even when the weather was so bad...
M. B.
Decent enough pub. Must get absolutely packed in summer. Bit overpriced for what it is but we did have a lovely lunch.
J. S.
Always happy to go there. Very nice place with friendly staff and good food and drink. Plenty of space both in and outdoors.
D. W.
Excellent Service and great quality food. Staff are very friendly and the Pizza Den is a fantastic idea and works brilliant
C. S.
Enjoyed an excellent roast pork Sunday dinner, it was quite busy even out of season, very popular pub and mooring if coming by boat.
N. S.
Visited here twice in November 2013 whilst on a boating holiday.
Great friendly welcoming pub and fantastic food.
Definitely worth a visit and will go back.
Thanks Neal
K. S.
Absolutely brilliant delicious food served lovely very friendly staff have now been twice in 2wks and will definitely be back again and highly recommend it
J. M.
Lovely place, great food, helpful staff. Ranworth is great and this little pub really makes it!
J. A.
Lovely setting, nice outside seating, pub food good. Easy mooring for boats.
S. M.
Picturesque location, handy for broads boaters, walkers, cyclists, horse riders and even cars. It was rammed when we rocked up so couldn't comment on the food.
B. W.
Great pizza in the summer
J. J.
Excellent pub with plenty of gluten free options on the menus. Really great
D. M.
Offers a reasonable variety of f9d and beer in a great location.
D. W.
Lovely picturesque location good food very presentable clean establishment x
L. W.
Great food lovely staff. Great situation on the side of a Norfolk Broad.
T. S.
Had ham, eggs and mash.
The mash seemed to be instant smash, and tasted rather odd. The ham and eggs were ok.
Prices at an average pub rate, but food at cheap pub quality. If you're in a car, there are better options. If you're in a boat, it's ok but not good. And the only pub available at Ranworth!
n. b.
Nice place for a day out.All the tables arranged in a distance according to Covid19 guidelines.Very safe and clean .Food is good.Service is good.
G. C. (.
Lovely food, great atmosphere. Dog friendly as well. Ideal for boaters, not far from mooring point.
R. A.
Nice food friendly staff
P. H.
Nice lunch pleasant staff, just seems a bit disorganised trying to order, will be OK when restrictions are lifted
A. F.
Good service, only had drinks which were good
Social distancing measures in place and adhered to
All good as usual from this well run establishment
D. H.
Good food and drink but the Covid setup was a little slow sure this will get better
N. C.
A very popular location no doubt because of the pub, hardly any spare moorings and the only boats moored up were ones with bow thrusters.
D. L.
Ordered 3 simple meals.
But incorrect meals arrived.
Beef burgers turned out to be beef lasagne
W. P.
It is Very good there and good Lemonade to drink and good 👍 and there was Fantastic Pizza 🍕 takeaway.
A. B.
Really nice pub, very popular, one of our regular stops when on the broads, the pizza shed is a great idea too.
L. D.
Great food. Young staff so a little slow.
P. M.
Lovely big outdoor space to have a drink and a meal. Friendly staff.
J. k.
Not bad but nothing to shout home about. Shame it used to be amazing.
s. c.
fantastic proper home cooked food, would highly recommend, cannot say a bad thing about it also the locals are so friendly
M. W.
Lovely place, lovely staff and great pizza. Thank you.
B. P.
Hidden down a winding lane on the Norfolk Broads, this was an excellent find for a late large English breakfast.
Walks and boat rides from the jetty make it a busy seasonal venue
B. M.
Good choice of food, including very good pizza. Child and dog friendly, and a few years from moorings

Great pub, and the perfect stopping off point on a tour of the broads, set back from Ranworth Broad it's the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy a drink.

Tasty food, nice location. Portions were not generous though. Also concerned by the lack of enforcement of COVID masks and social distancing...

High quality food and service and a nice pizza oven setup in the garden. Came back multiple times!

Nothing to complain about. Good food even though they tend to run out of certain ingredients if they have a busy day, cheese was one of them when I went.
