Just out for a ride around the Norfolk Countryside and pulled into Marlingford Bell for lunch 😋 What an absolutely fantastic pub in lovely surrounding countryside so quite ! We had a lovely meal see photo Home cut Chips, Home made Steak Pie with Plenty of Steak (No Search Party Needed)🤔🤣🤣 Mushy Peas and the Biggest Battered Onion Rings I've ever seen😋 And lots more on their menu🤗 Definitely going back for more 🤗

HUGE beer garden in a lush rural setting, with lots of parking. Drink the beers, watch the cows. And a cute little farm shop off the car park.

The Sunday roast was delicious. The vegetarian option was particularly good. The deserts were generous and tasty. Great staff. Good atmosphere. We are fairly local but hadn't been here before. We will definitely be back!

Visited here 2 days ago as our friend has a special dietary and it seemed recommended on Google, however my partner and I found the food pretty ordinary and more expensive than we had anticipated. Additionally, the chicken nuggets and mash we ordered for our son on a kiddie meal was bland and the chicken is pretty tough. So much so, what our son left that we brought it home in a doggy bag as adult found the chicken almost unedible with burn breadcrumbs and the mash tasteless. The meal for 4 people is nearly was almost £60 and on reflection we found it not good value for money. Just the whole ambience of this place is felt a little tired and we were rather underwhelmed with the whole dining experience. Definitely not returning to this place anytime soon.

Why isn't this place full. Must be a Norfolk hidden gem. Great food and the staff were lovely. I had the cold meat bagget, with pork and my friend had the bagget with sausage. Very good food. Not a big selection of beers but they where all of high quality. Suggest a visit to all passing.

Typical Norfolk village country pub resturant. Plenty of outside tables with a cosy bar and separate dining room. Good beers, menu limited choice but also has daily specials on offer. Staff friendly and helpful.

Smashing Sunday roast. Staff very friendly, good service , and in a lovely setting. Couldn't fault it. When I filled in the yes/no question, I said the Bell did temperature checks on customers, I hit the wrong answer, apologies to the owners, as they dont.

My wife and myself had a meal at the spur of the moment after a day out at Cromer. Loved the ales lovely setting out of the back, my wife had cheese burger with all the trimmings I had king prawn salad the first plate I had came with the prawns with a few salad leaves, no cucumber, peppers. The second one came out found hairs in the mayonnaise I then had to wait 30mins before I was seen toto again poor staff service definitely give a miss next time a shame as we are on the door step the staff definitely need more custom relations training

Nice local pub with a lovely garden of wildflowers and ample covered seating. I'm told that they have music sometimes - I can imagine it makes for a nice environment to enjoy a good tune over a beer. Local beers on tap, kept well. The staff were very friendly. I had a delicious homemade burger and everyone else in my party enjoyed their meals. The interior is a bit dark for my taste but might be cosy in the Winter. I will certainly visit again.

Lovely country pub. The food is very good, nothing fancy but all the favourites such as fish and chips, pie, burgers, steak, lasagne. The pies and burgers are made at the pub. If you're a real ale or cider lover, you're in for a treat. Local beers such as those from the Wolf brewery, the beers are well kept, and the right temperature. The Bell is everything a pub should be, thoroughly recommended!

Booked to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and yet again, another restaurant that surpassed expectations. Interesting menu, great layout, brilliant social distancing precautions and fantastic service. Food was excellent and although I live locally, this is my first visit....the first of many I hasten to add!

I have been to eat here quite a few times as a couple, with friends and with family, and I have always had a great meal. We went on Saturday with family and had 3 pie and mash and 1 cod and chips, and all meals were excellent with very friendly service from all the staff. It’s an added bonus the fish and chip night on Friday is back on! Definitely visiting again soon.

First time here and wow... Lovely prawn cocktail and pate starters Fantastic pork roast..and Out of this world trifle.. I am transgender, so always cautious when going somewhere new..absolutely no problems here..very welcoming and friendly staff. Nice country pub decor. Good selection of local beers (I had a local lager but also bitters and pale ales on tap) and very friendly new owners. Tasty food, the salad/veg freshly picked from the kitchen garden outside which was a nice touch. The owners even allowed our 3yo to dig up some beetroots which he was delighted with! Would recommend.

Stopped here for a meal when passing, was fairly quiet and mostly locals in residence not surprising considering it is slightly off the beaten track, Very welcoming and not intimidating to enter. Good range of dishes on the menu with some items available on a specials board also. Food seemed freshly prepared and the veg on the plate was perfectly cooked for me meaning it still had plenty of crunch and taste, we enjoyed both out meals and would not hesitate to recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We held a Covid release dinner for 14 of us at the Bell. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves the food was great (recommend steak pie) and service spot on. Went for a 50th birthday celebration. Great welcome, great service, and lovely beer. As non-locals we felt very welcome. Hot buffet was very good too. Nice atmosphere. Lovely warm fire in the main bar. If we lived more locally would definitely go back.

Very laid back environment, Great food, very friendly staff providing great service, Local Norfolk Ale on tap, and they actually have proper English Mustard! The only minor complaint was the table being quite dirty/sticky. But That complaint is far outweighed by the nice evening we all had.

Friendly & efficient service even on a busy Saturday night. We ordered the burgers which came with tasty hand cut chips, homemade slaw & red onion relish. I had the same sort of thing in a well known North Norfolk restaurant in the summer & The Marly Bell burger was twice as tasty for half the price. We will certainly be returning soon to try something a little more daring off the menu!!
