Had a lovely time here with my wife but felt it wasn’t quite a 5 star place. The starter was amazing fantastic flavour and presentation would recommend to everyone to try the lamb koftas. The main was a bit of a let down presentation was like a school dinner and was just a bit sloppy (signature burger). Finally the desert was amazing again the brownies where just great. I would go again but I’d personally stay away from the burger menu section. Staff where fantastic

We have passed by here many times without stopping, but yesterday we finally did and I would say it was a good choice. Jennifer greeted us with a smile and, even though we had not booked, she immediately made herself available to find us a table. we ordered two Sunday Roasts, accompanied by local beer and cider. all very good, fair portions and honest prices. we will definitely be back.

The main courses were excellent - we had both salads and REALLY enjoyed them - fresh, tasty and just right in terms of size. The service was good too (though a little slow) - everyone we spoke with was accommodating, friendly, professional and polite. We had mini dessert and drinks and enjoyed them, though personally, there was too much cream in the Eton mess for my taste - I'm glad I didn't have the full dessert.
I also appreciated the inclusion of calorie details on the menu

Most of the food was really great. My signature burger in particular was amazing and all the chips were spot on. My wife's roast was the only slightly disappointing bit, the vegetables, including the roast potatoes were all a bit soft and she said it seemed like it had all probably been sitting around being kept warm for an hour or two, which I guess is very possibly the case with a Sunday roast cooked in large batches and just plated up when needed.
Service was also great however and the lady who served us was very helpful and attentive. We'd definitely come again but maybe not specifically for the Sunday roast.

The food, drink and service were generally very good.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The only poor item in our meals was the Eton Mess. It had the tiniest smear of fruit, and little merangue too. Basically just cream.
The rest of the food everyone liked. I had the veg curry which I really enjoyed.
We would have stayed for coffee in the garden, but there were no cushions on the seats so we went home for a more relaxing coffee.
A lovely meal in a happy environment. I would certainly come back again.

We’ve just had a lovely meal here. Food is fab - the beef dripping with my steak was a real treat. Staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. Service quick and efficient (without feeling rushed). Thank you 😊

We arrived this evening without a booking and the pub was very busy, but one of the staff members, Ross, made sure we got a table and just stipulated we’d have to order food at the bar…no problem at all. He also helped us out when we were having trouble with a money off voucher, ensuring we were able to use the discount. All of the staff very helpful and friendly, but Ross in particular went above and beyond to help us out and make sure we will definitely visit again. The pork belly we both had was delicious, and a decent portion. We both left very full!
Top marks all round.

Had a work night out, party of nine. Our waiter was as attentive as he could be given that he appeared to be running around all over the place and multi tasking. He didn't stop and he remained pleasant and polite throughout. The food was really lovely, had Sea Bass main and cheesecake for dessert. All of our party of 9 really enjoyed their food. Thanks guys.

Stopped for Sunday lunch & had the scallops & prawn starter which was very nice. Then had the roast beef. The vegetables could have done with a bit longer cooking but the beef was quite strange. It was nice & tender but very very salty! I thought it might be the gravy but that was fine. It was as though someone had sprinkled salt over each slice. I couldn't eat more than 1 slice & told the server who said she'd let the chef know.

We were a party of 8, 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 youngsters. The kids menu had a good choice and they were happy with their meals. The rest of us chose the roast dinner which was tasty and came quickly. We did feel however that the vegetables were a bit sparse and unexciting. One small broccoli floret and 2 chunks of carrot (a bit hard and underdone). The roast potatoes and parsnip were good though.
