Reviews of The Queen of Iceni - JD Wetherspoon

Not too busy at 11.30am on Tuesday. Was surprised at how clean and quiet it was. Tables and chairs very spaced out, tea and coffee area also clean and uncluttered.
Toilets are upstairs, several cubicles also very clean and tidy. Food came quickly and very reasonably priced.
Staff at bar and bringing food to the table were very helpful and friendly. Seating areas were quickly cleaned as soon as a person left.
Would return as I haven't been here for about 10 years.

First visit.
Food menu had a decent range, would be nice to have some more options for nice baguettes/sandwiches which would of gone well if sat outside on a hot day.
Food ordered was nice, standard portion size and tasty. Prices reasonable and nearly everything came with offer including soft or alcoholic drink.
Inside was not the cleanest. Went to several tables before sitting down as were left unclean. High number of tables left with dirty plates and glasses. And nearly everywhere you worked your feet stuck to the flooring.
Would I revisit, possibly as Food was good and decent price, just cleanliness was a little off putting.

Very impressed with my first visit to this one overlooking the river and modern architectural landscape.
The local football team were playing at home, so it was rather busy with plastic glasses. No trouble though.
I stayed for two drinks.
I would like to return one day

Decent Wetherspoons, friendly staff, food and drink reasonably priced and of a consistent quality. Clean environment, rarely any issues with waiting for food or drink, the atmosphere is inviting and there's a large external area.

Massive venue. Short of staff. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was quite busy.
Food is ok. I wouldn’t recommend going for a party. It’s too big and can get quite hard to grab someone from the staff to come and clean your table. Nice and big outdoor seating area facing the river.

It's a decent Wetherspoon adjacent to the river. Plenty of tables downstairs with more upstairs as well as outside (when it's warm enough). Just across from the cinema and a five minute walk from the train station. Great value decent quality food that you can order from your table with the app. What's not to like?

Pretty standard spoons. Nice to sit outside by the river in summer. Opposite the Waterfront. Loos are up a massive set of stairs so you can burn off that all day brunch. They have good vegetarian and vegan options and I would recommend the fiesta burger. As far as prices go, this spoons is pretty reasonable, too. It gets very busy on the weekend so forget waiting at the bar and instead order your food and drinks through the app. You might need a degree to decipher their massive menu, though.

Staff 5 stars
Had dinner here service and food as you'd expect from a Spoons. Efficient and well delivered.
However we left our bag here whilst watching a film and when we discovered it was missing returned hours later to find it had been handed in and all seems to be intact (we don't know if a punter or member of staff handed it in or discovered the bag)
Excellent staff too helping us to deal with thebissue

Tables can be a bit sticky sometimes and I think even in the daytime it feels unsuitable for some families. But the staff are good at serving quickly and are helpful. Definitely more of an adult restaurant and bar in my opinion. For a more family friendly environment, try The Whiffler Wetherspoons. For a night out its great :)

Beautiful location on the river. Busy but vibrant vibe. Plenty of seating, Liverpool v Man city match and food good servings and best I've had at a Wetherspoons for a while. Definitely worth a visit for cheap and cheerful meal and drinks.
