Absolutely lovely pub , great atmosphere, staff so welcoming, especially the young man who sat us down this evening and took our drinks order. Food was beautifully cooked and flavours. Would highly recommend this little gem in Norwich. 👍🏻😊

Great, stylish pub. I’m dropping a star because I feel like the food offerings are overpriced compared to other offerings in the area. However that doesn’t subtract from the lovely pub in what I think is a lovely area. Would recommend to anyone, I’ve never had a bad experience in this pub.

First visit, recommended by my daughter. Food excellent, reasonable price, large portions. Good selection of drinks. Staff very pleasant. Sat inside, but plenty of outside seating too.

Great place to meet friends and the meals are excellent, provided by an outside catering company. Friday an Saturdays very busy. Under new ownership, it's become a popular place to be seen in NR3. Mixed crowd. Gay friendly, welcomes familes and kids for dining and also dog owner friendly. Average age of punters, 25 to 45. Highly recommended.

OMG, a must-go place in Norwich, the atmosphere = amazing selection of drinks = amazing, and the food was IMPECCABLE, they did a partnership with Danomey Kitchens, and the flavours, the presentation was in point. We ate: Chicken Wings, Beef Nuggets, Squid, And chips with some dip (homemade humous), and some chicken satay fries. They were also very friendly in there, and covid19 regulations on point. I have been to several Norwich City of Ale Festivals, but this my first time here. I liked the place, considering the walk here a good investment of my time. There was a sufficient choice of ales and the three of us thought they were in really good condition.

Very friendly!! Great cocktails!! Child friendly made my daughter feel like a valued customer she is 8 and felt really grown up!! When they are not serving food they don't mind you getting a takeaway and bringing it in all they ask is you tidy up after yourself!!

Living just up the road from here this pub serves as a great local, table service during Covid restrictions was excellent. A decent selection of beers craft and your staples all kept well and severed properly. Look forward to returning to sit both inside and out this year !

Been here quite a few times. Nice atmosphere. The staff in general have good customer service skills. On my last visit one of the bar tenders didn't seem to want to accept cash. Money's money. Due to that, I will give three stars.

We love the pub quiz! It's a great atmosphere. Drinks are priced to the high end of average for Norwich and selection is limited. Food is an alternative menu, which is great, but options are very limited and not updated frequently enough for a returning customer base - I regularly eat the same thing 2 or 3 times a month because there is only 1 menu option which suits me.

Lovely pub with good lighting, friendly atmosphere and excellent selection of drinks. It also offers food, although I have not eaten here. There are outdoor seats on the main road and out at the back. The furniture and decor inside is tasteful and welcoming. Particularly like the staff who are welcoming and sound.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Even on a busy night, they could remember previous drink orders so I could get people the same thing. However the service comes at a price. A very ludicrously high price. A 2 pound beer should not cost about 6. Unfathomable pricing in there.

A simple formular that never fails. Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere. Just a great pub. Everyone welcome. It is worth visiting the Stanley just for the cauliflower wings! The whole area seems to have improved since the new look Stanley opened. While the pubs in the golden triangle become ever more pretentious and over priced the Stanley is a golden nugget in the north of the city. 👍👍👍👍👍

Great turnaround of this long established traditional pub, both in decor but more importantly in personality. Very friendly, knowledgeable bar staff/management who made us feel very welcome and advised on drinks form the fantastic selection available. If you'd been in this pub in recent years and thought you wouldn't bother returning (which I'd understand), please reconsider as it's now a brilliant pub which I'm sure will go from strength to strength.

Really lovely staff, good menu with a couple of vegan options (chips cooked in same oil as meat/vegetarian dishes though so technically not vegan). Only thing I would say is quite expensive food-wise, but you do get a good amount for your money!

Friendly local pub, fully embracing the NR3 hipster vibe. Great pub quiz on a Tuesday, but get there early to grab a table. Artisan food menu - nice, but a little overpriced in my opinion. Love the decor and relaxed atmosphere.

Superb refurb, excellent atmosphere, topped off by quality food and drink. Second visit since it's refurb, and genuinely chuffed at this new addition to our little community of pubs in the North city. Excellent atmosphere, generated by a pleasant clientele and friendly staff. Partook in the Saturday brunch today, and both myself and the wife were very impressed - very homemade feel, organic, tasty and relatively good value for money. Plentiful and varied choice on the menu too - catering for vegetarians and vegans alongside the meat eaters. Well with the visit if you're a Norwich pub enthusiast, need a new watering hole or are even a North cityite and didn't know it existed. Great work!!

I used to frequent the Stanley many years ago and it was lovely going back again. And I've got to say the place looks fantastic, very impressive on the outside and even more so on the inside, with great decor and mood creating lighting, all very well done.
