C. S. T.After being told by many how good the beer and food was, we finally made it for a Sunday roast with friends and their kids. From the very first moment walking through the door, we were given such a warm welcome from the staff, as this continued throughout, including interaction with the children and allowing them to have fun whilst in the pub rather than being restricted. Food was absolutely delicious, both roast and dessert, and amazing value for money. Great selection of cask ales, including lots of local breweries. Will definitely be back. Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.

H. P.Been coming here for years for the excellent beer (and cider if you are inclined) but I wanted to post this because I just had THE BEST roast chicken of any venue ever. Like DAMMMMNNNN. Not sure what they do but it so succulent and perfectly seasoned. Absolutely peerless. Get yourself in the White Lion for a perfect Sunday lunch.
L. M.The burger I had was great. The patty was moist and flavourful and Oscar is the best host/bartender. So pleasant and welcoming. The chips that accompanied the burger was slightly underwhelming but otherwise, no complaints. Would come again.
M. C.Exceptional pub. Good ale and real cider selection and the best bar billiards room in Norwich. Just far out enough of the city centre to stop the crowds but well worth the few extra minutes walk if you like good ale
I. Y.I came here, with two others for the 2022 City of Ale Festival. I had been here once before, on a previous festival, but couldn't recall the place. The ale was fine and the fellow customers we spoke to were very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about beer.
