Usual pub fare, but well cooked. Was very quiet when we arrived, but it soon filled up. The queue was very long when we'd finished our dinner and that stopped us from ordering dessert.. More bar staff would be useful. All in all a pleasant visit. We'll come again.

Lovely food, but we ordered starters off the starters menu and main meals. Unfortunately, they all came together, because I didn't specify I wanted my starters as a starter!! Never been to this pub before and not a local. So we didn't know local custom and practice. I would encourage all staff to check with their customers first. Apart from that a lovely meal

A family festive meal was very good. Service great and couldn't have been more helpful. Meals not 'out of a box' as is the feeling of some pub meals. Staff had worked to prepare the meal - and it showed in a good way.

A local pub, good atmosphere when we went with a bar game beng held as jubilee weekend. The food was ok, not a great choice, but this pub is, as mentioned, more of a local pub. However we were made welcome. Ladies toilet clean enough, however not one cubicle had toilet paper in. Not the best!

Absolutely fabulous night every time, Lee & Louise are great hosts, William the chef who cooks our food delivers every time, all this complimented by the excellent service, by Exza and the other staff members who are always polite and professional making for a friendly, welcoming experience. They have a variety of activities, pool, darts, karaoke, a great Wednesday pool night where all comers are welcome. You can listen to music, watch the match, play one of the games machines or if you have skills knock a few bars out on the piano, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a great pub while having a few laughs with the locals. They are pet friendly which I think is great, seriously well worth a visit, might even see you in there sometime.

Went for a meal, group of 8. We didn't get all our meals together, one being served quite some time after the others. The tables in the garden were disgusting, covered in bird poo so clearly not cleaned regularly. Food was ok and the staff were friendly.

A family birthday meal to celebrate. We were told on ordering food that there was an hour wait, we had young grandchildren with us so had to keep them entertained in the garden. The food duly arrived some time later, all together and nice and hot. Staff were under pressure as it was the weekend and very busy. Overall a pleasant experience.

Attentive service and a more unusual menu then we expected. Reasonable portions on the 2 for £10 choices, and special offers on the specials, it was 20% off fish, and it was a Friday! So excellent for us. Seafood risotto was hot, very tasty and fresh. Garnished with pea shoots, now there's a first. Beer offered included real ale, and the selection was well tended. All in all a nice surprise from an ordinary suburban pub, which also appears to have a nice big garden hidden away. Will be back in the summer.

Wife and I have been 3 or 4 times and not had a bad experience yet' the food is good especially enjoyed the Sunday lunch. I thought the pub has been tastefully refurbished and is to our liking. As for the beer nice to see 3 choices of real ale on including sometimes a local beer, but why does it have to be so cold ? It loses flavour and character. Sandiacre best pub though.

We've been to this pub with our family on numerous occassions and always been satisfied with service, food and staff. Today however we had a horrendous experience. We booked for 22 people and we're not advised to pre order. We duly ordered our meals and looked forward to our meal. We had 6 children with us ranging from 1 to 11 years old. We had a 2 hour wait for food which made the children fractious and miserable. When the meals came about 6 of the meals were unsatisfactory. .....3 of them being Sunday dinners. The gravy was burnt and tasted foul. After discussion with staff and agreeing a reduction in payment the bill came and was more than agreed amount. This resulted in 4 people leaving the pub without having eaten a meal. I am very very disappointed and will certainly think twice about coming back.

Great tasty food and fantastix friendly member of staff. Good choice on the main, sale, lunch and kids menus. Huge outdoor area for the warmer weather, undercover smoking area with heaters, function room, pool table, seating in the bar and the restaurant. Booming is advised or call before you come to see if there's a delay on food as it is very popular and gets very busy at times. Place needs a bit of TLC and could do with a revamp, but overall it's consistently good. On a main road with bus stops rights outside and is 5 minutes from the A52 and M1 junctions. Would recommend a visit here.

Fantastic place to take the kids, they can play outside on the spacious well kept back garden with climbing frame and slide etc. (free bouncy castle during the busier summer months) Or dine inside for just £1!.. It has a good size car park. Function Room Hire. Very helpful friendly staff with a great all round atmosphere and facilities.

Excellent pub/restaurant that I often head to with the family for a local treat. Very quiet due to nearby roadworks, so if you want a top meal served quickly this is currently the destination of choice.

We used to go here a lot in the past but have avoided of late for anything other than a quick drink en route elsewhere. We went tonight to try it sgain as it's on our doorstep the food was lovely - I was less impressed with being called babe and darling by the staff. They are quite pleasant but really shouldn't assume that people warm to that kind of customer service. Real Ales could be a lot better and I would prefer something other than Carling as a lager.
