We ordered the plant based set menu. The food was delicious and was displayed beautifully. I would recommend if vegetarian to go for the set menu as you get to try all the veggie options on the menu. The service was great.

Was really looking forward to this but I'm sorry to say it was a disappointment. The service was very slow (30 mins to get a drink) and the food came in dribs and drabs with, for example, sliced beef came at the end but absolutely nothing else - no rice, etc. Then asked for a taxi at the end of the night and was told bluntly that they don't do that... First time I've ever been told that at a restaurant. Food was ok but nothing special. Found the setting to be quite sterile. Overall, was pretty average.

It's great in Chino latino. The staff always treat you well and the food is fantastic ...so much that I forgot to photo my second course! Chino latino also made a surprise desert for my partner as it was her birthday. Great cocktails too.

Lovely place and wonderfully helpful and polite staff. The steak on hot rocks is sublime and the sushi is always delicious. If I could have one wish, it would be for them to bring back the green beans with XO sauce.

Really helpful staff that knew exactly what we could and couldn't have due to an allergy. Really good food. Nice selection of drinks as well. Also welcomed me and partner (whose birthday it was) and gave us a dessert on the house for his birthday! Really lovely gesture, will definitely be going again.

It was amazing experience. The taste of food was superior. It was the most delicious sushi I have ever ate, steak, deserts was amazing too.. Will come again! And I wouldn't say that portions was small, it's in normal size, so you will not stay hungry.

We booked a table at Chino Latino. We have never had the opportunity to visit this restaurant. All dishes were delicious. Beautifully decorated plates. Kindest service. Certainly we will come back there more than once.

Nice if you like fusion food. Portions are pretty small and pricey but if you can afford it then go ahead. Wouldn't say it's the best Japanese food, it's definitely not authentic. Notwithstanding that, the food is pretty tasty. Good service!

This is a lovely restaurant. It was going to be a 5 star but unfortunately the chef has changed and so has the menu so it isn't as good as it used to be. However the ambiance is nice and service is generally good. Love the cocktails here even though a bit pricey.

Love Chino Latino......for the funky cocktail bar and bar snacks as well as the excellent restaurant. Had the best tasting menu I've eaten here with a mix of subtle flavours, and full on, blow your mind, melt in your mouth courses. Can't wait to go back.

I recently visited this restaurant after several years gap on the occasion of my daughters birthday. The food was as good as I remember from my previous visits. Service was good and timely albeit the waitress was tad too informative & chatty but very pleasant & polite. On the negative side, I have to say the place was looking a little tired. The decor has not changed for nearly ten years. Nottingham has moved on with fierce competition in the neighbourhood. A facelift may well bring the sparkle back.

Decor awful. Rather scruffy and the place was so loud. The staff they did have were very good but they were understaffed and the waitress confirmed this as we were paying the bill. The food was excellent - especially the steak on the rocks. Great food let down by the ambiance and being understaffed.

We had the tasting menu for the second time. It hasn't changed since at least a year ago, but it is fantastic. Very fresh and flavoursome. It has a good atmosphere and the service is to a high standard. Definitely worth a visit.

Me and my fiancée went to Nottingham from Barcelona to stay a couple of days. We went one night to Chino Latino to eat. It’s the perfect place to go as a couple or with friends. Good atmosphere and service. We went on Halloween and it was all decorated. The prices are a little bit high compared to other restaurants, but the quality of the products is very high, and so is also the quality of the service. The dessert was wonderful, it was a special recipe for Halloween. I would definitely recommend this place, specially for those occasions in which you want to celebrate something or you just want to make a surprise to your couple. If we return again to Nottingham we will repeat! —————————— Mi novia y yo fuimos para Halloween a ver Nottingham. Un día fuimos a cenar al chino latino. La verdad es que esta muy bien, si es cierto que los precios son un poco más altos que algún otro restaurante pero la verdad que la calidad del producto y del servicio merecen la pena. Nos pedimos un postre de chocolate que estaba muy bueno. Era especial de halloween y estaba muy bien presentado. Lo recomiendo especialmente para ir en pareja, a celebrar algo, o simplemente a darle una sorpresa a tu novi@.

I love this place. The bar staff are great. The food is very impressive especially the steak cooked on coals. The sushi and inside out chicken wings are devine. The cocktails are well made by lovely bar men. I was very impressed by Alpesh Chauhan the operations manger, he was really very good at his job he made us feel like royalty! Top notch service!

As i was staying in Park plaza i tried Chino Latino restaurant for a light dinner. I ordered Vegetable Tempura, it was served with a signature vegetable ribbon salad. It was good but since i like it spicy i asked for some extra Chilli which I have been served almost instantly.

Been a long time since I last dined at Chino L's but I'm pleased to the say that the passage of time has not diminished the quality of the food and the level of service. Both were in excellent condition and consequently, a rather a fine eating experience was enjoyed by all. Sadly, I cannot say the same for the restaurant which appears dated in design and well in need of a radical facelift. Whilst Nottingham can never compete with London W1 or EC2, surely we can offer dining environments to challenge the best designs currently drawing us to Sheffield, Leeds or Manchester?
