Lovely bar with friendly staff and excellent food and drinks. Always have a really good selection of beers of tap, local and further afield. Sunday Roast Beef is really good and excellent value for money. Nice bar to visit if you are in the area.

I've been coming to the commercial for years. It used to be a great local. It's seen many changes, but I have to say that It's now back to its very best. Great beers, well kept. Also the food is some of the best in Beeston. The team are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The pub itself is well laid out with plenty of space. Always look forward to visiting and thoroughly recommend.

Had a really lovely meal here, both steaks were perfectly cooked. My wife has a nut allergy and the chef catered for her really well, the meal was spot on. The bar staff are so friendly and welcoming. Definitely coming back.

Very noisy pub, the gazebo makes an awful clattering sound in the breeze and lots of noisy conversations going on. A good selection of real ale but a bit pricey, friends had the vegan food and said it was very good. Probably a good pub if you like noisy bustle but if you want a quiet pint not the place for you.

I have visited this place a number of times recently, every time the beer has been of excellent quality and the prices are comparable to other real ale outlets in the town. The staff are always friendly and the place feels welcoming. I have not eaten here yet but the menu has a varied and interesting selection, I know that the Sunday lunch is popular and friends who have had it spoke very highly of it.

Having heard many excellent reviews about the latest incarnation of The Commercial, we had high expectations of the Sunday lunch. The new decor is very nicely done. The covid hygiene provisions are reasonable with distanced tables and face mask requirements. We ordered drinks and Sunday dinner--1 pork belly and 1 lamb shank- within a minute of being seated. Staff were attentive and polite. The dinner arrived looking very attractive (see photo) however, it left us feeling underwhelmed. The lamb shank was tasty, though a little crispy on the outside with less fat rendered than I would expect from a slow cooked portion. The veg was nice, though 1 half of a carrot, 1 half parsnip and 1 piece of broccoli (so if you like a lot of veg, you may want to ask for an additional side). The meal was let down for me by an over-salted gravy. My partner who had the pork belly agreed that the salt levels were on the high side. This did not stop me from eating the food, but did diminish the pleasure somewhat. When I mentioned this as general feedback whilst paying the bill the (I think assistant manager) was apologetic and advised that if I had raised it during the meal, they would have made me a different gravy which was very nice to hear. The staff were very good throughout. I did not drink, but my partner had an ale of the same that he had been drinking in a different establishment prior to eating and found the quality quite poor, so much so he didn't finish it. (a very unusual situation!) The table next to us were overheard commenting that they found the portion size small, though I did not have an issue with. Overall the place looks very nice and the staff are great, but the food was not as amazing as I expected having heard rave reviews.

Really nice now its been revamped. Friendly staff, seemed like a nice friendly bunch of customers. Good range of drinks. Covered outdoor seating/smoking area, small car park, plenty of seating inside. Went on a Thursday night when they had a quiz on. Dogs are welcome inside too. All in all, very impressed and will be back.

Sorry to give such a poor review. On the plus side it has a nice atmosphere and does have a good range of beers. Staff were also very good and apologetic about the wait for our food. However, the food was disappointing. My son had a burger which he did enjoy, but our ‘tapas’ was not good. Belly of pork and the glazed pigs in blankets were really poor. Sticky chicken was ok. Maybe down to the fact that they had a big event on upstairs…

Absolutely gorgeous place, landlord and staff so so friendly and extremely welcoming. My husband and father in law regularly come here but it was my first ever visit on Friday 25th June and now I can't wait for more visits. Amazing wallpaper and snug area with beautiful furniture. Last night we had our Xmas work do at the Commercial.It was excellent.Very warm Christmas's feel.Tasteful decorations.Great atmosphere..I have never enjoyed turkey dinner ever at an Xmas do so much.The portions were sooo generous.The plates hot.Served at same time and a gap between each course to rest.Didnt feel rushed and able to enjoy our time together.The service was friendly and helpful especially when chef missed my mashe potato off my plate.Which made us laugh.!I'm glad I only had a biscuit and cup of tea all day as need to save yourself. The entertainment got everyone in the mood.I would highly recommend.£21 for three courses well worth it.Shame not open Xmas day as I'd be there again.Well done Gemma and the team.Compliments to the chefx

If you want a decent ale and a good evening out, its the place to be. Not tried food yet but on the aesthetics, atmosphere and real ale alone its 5 stars from me.
