This is a really nice and chill place. Went here for the first time today and thought it could be a really nice place to come and work from as I like to get my laptop and work from a coffee shop or a pub. The music they have is really nice as well and the place is on the side of a river. However the first drink I got was so bitter, even after putting 4 sugar packets in. I would probably be afraid to order coffee again there, thats how bitter it was. Please fix your coffee, other than that, great place.

Great coffee. Didn’t expect that to be honest since the place looks like a pub. Highly recommended- great location by the canal.

Really really tasty food especially for those who like cured and pickled food or charcuterie.
I only put 4* rather than 5* as on one instance some food felt a little less fresh than advertised and there's been construction going on each time I've visited so not the perfect environment

Awesome place. Great bagels, drinks and atmosphere. Jodie is the best waitress we've ever had! Would put more than 5 stars if possible. Thank you Jodie for a wonderful afternoon ❤

Just popped in whilst waiting for a train. Got a lovely Ciabatta made up in less than 5min which I enjoyed with a cold beer.
Less than 5min walk from the train station. Would recommend. Laid back attitude, friendly staff, decent views with some easy listening background music.

They have a Jetty downstairs to the Nottingham and Beeston Canal, on a Summer's Evening,I say to you it's blissful .

Excellent place for a quick pint before using the station or heading to the game. Unfortunately there is very limited indoor seating.
Food is fantastic value with some really interesting Bagel fusions going on

Nice simple place. Stylish. Good collection of beers etc. Nice room downstairs where can can look out on the canal. We had two delicious sharing boards and extra bread because it was from Tough Mary’s bakery. Staff very friendly. Good place if you are on your way to or from the station. They do coffee and cake too.

Lovely little cafe/bar right on the side or canal - you can actually sit outside by the water. It’s lovely!
The coffee/beer is good and the atmosphere is perfect for meetings.
B. F.
Great atmosphere and brilliant pint.
After missing my train I decided to nip in to get something to drink. The beer was outstanding. Just what I needed after a hard day. I'll keep them in mind for next time! If we ever get out of tier 3...

So, this place has just opened and I am sat here sipping a perfectly ordinary Heine. Previously for as long as I can remember this place was a cycle shop, was empty for a short while and someone having realised the potential in a property overlooking the canal and a stone's throw away from the train station and city centre leaped on it.
The decor is what I call faux-apocaliptic, crowd on day 1 is a right mix but mostly people who can afford to blow 50 quid per head on booze one night.
There is a decent selection of spirits, a couple of ordinary lagers, trendy ciders on the tap as well as the daytime coffees and teas.
Barmen are efficient, chatty and friendly.
I will be baçk.

Called for lunch with a work colleague. The food menu is a bit limited and the sandwich we chose (pre-made), was a bit disappointing but edible. What makes this place great is the location. We sat downstairs right next to the canal and they are opening the outside area too which will be lovely in nice weather.
Three stars may seem a bit harsh as the staff were friendly and according to other reviews, the beer and coffee are very good (not together!), but I can only comment on what I had.
Not a bad place to spend some time on the way to and from Nottingham railway station.
M. R.
Great place and atmosphere, love the bangers that they play and the food is delicious!!! Also has a milk alternatives for coffee
C. f.
Great place, great pint of beavertown! Quality service each time to! Girl who’d broke her arm was superb. Very friendly to us all
E. L.
Perfect ambience for a chilled afternoon for drinks and lunch, super friendly staff as always. Highly recommend if you're waiting for a bus or train to treat yourself here
P. L.
Great place for a drink and chat..Nice canal side seating and close to the train station
L. T. P.
Great place to stop for a coffee
Or a beer
Just love the views too
Staff are brilliant
O. S.
Decent beer, lovely staff. My bagel was about half the size of what you'd expect, and contained only a meager amount of filling. It was very very tasty but was expecting more cured beef. Would come here again but might just stick to drinks next time.
J. H.
Ordered two panini’s for the pair of us, which were very nice whilst we sat downstairs by the canal. Bit expensive for the iced coffee, as it wasn’t great. Although, refunding a little off the bill due to the wait was a friendly touch and left a good impression.
J. J.
Excellent experience full of character and Uber friendly staff. Well done.
I. P.
Great place to stop off for a beverage if you're heading to/from the train station. Staff were great. A little bit on the pricey side.
L. A.
Great atmosphere, good drinks, loved it!
N.
Nice place for a drink near the station.
W. P.
great drinks selection, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, very nice decor! also very tasty lunch options with bread from a local bakery!
G. W.
Loved the morning coffee today. Friendly staff very clean.
T. S.
What a good pub! It's like if a London bar had the room to be a real bar and then nailed it! If I could give 10 stars... I would want to give 16! As it is, technology limits my deep passions and I can only recommend you with the highest of praise to all who love great drinks and fun times!
D. A.
Really enjoyed a drink here. There is a good selection of ales and beers available.
The seating is good both upstairs and downstairs. Prices are good too. Food is nice.
Would definitely return and it's near the station so convenient.
L. B.
I really like it here. The coffee is good (also has beers on tap but I've only been here in the morning) the food is very reasonably priced too for a trendy coffee shop. Looking forward to coming here in the summer as the seats downstairs have big windows that open up onto the canal.
E. C.
Awesome selection of craft beers, friendly barstaff, great atmosphere, close to tram stop and train station.
C. C.
Great place just near the rail station, friendly staff and loads of drinks to choose from, as an added bonus there is seating downstairs right near the canal, great spot for a drink or quick bite to eat
N. H.
Nice craft ale bar right next to the canal. Can sit outside. Good social distancing. Well worth a visit
C. B.
Nice canal view coffee shop with very good coffee. I've had one of the best Americano so far there. Friendly staff too
A. S.
I only visited once, a drink with a mate one early evening. We sat downstairs with a couple of beers looking out of one of the windows onto the canal. I think it would have felt a little atmospheric upstairs in the main bar. I'd go again - don't let the four stars put you off. On the right night, and with a good crowd, this place could be really fun.
B. W.
Pretty average for a beer of an evening. Not masses of choice. It is however advertised as a cafe/bar and the coffee looks pretty good (I didn't try it on this occasion). As a side note the toilets were more or less destroyed, but I wouldn't necessarily take that away from the place...it was Friday.
Nice setting and decor.
D. S.
Great place with good selection of drinks and bar snacks. Comes across as a small bar but just venture off down the stairs to the rear and you will be confronted by a mass of sitting as well as some neat games. Venture a little further and some recently added outdoor seating right next to the canelside.
Couple of pointers though and the tables are a little wobbly which could be fixed with some L brackets but my main concern was the newly fitted decking newels which needed sorting as I observed them being easily wobbled.
Verdict:
Lovely decor, great selection of drinks and friendly staff.

There's a no booking system but we didn't have to wait too long for a table, the table service was excellent, before we had finished our drinks we were asked if we wanted anymore, we were well looked after.
We felt the whole place was clean and covid safe
W. H.
Riverfront bar that does bloody good coffee. Downstairs couldn't go wrong with a little extra seating.
A. W.
What a great little bar! The guys behind the bar are helpful and friendly. And a pint right at the side of the canal (good pint, good price) was well needed after a shopping expedition. A right little gem 👍
S. D.
The Heineken here (£5.10) is absolutely lovely. It seems to be served a lot colder than pints elsewhere. Delicious.
D. K.
First time visitor but definitely not the last. Great service, fantastic bagels, friendly atmosphere.
N. C.
Excellent service, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Staff even gave up there table to accommodate us as my husband has a guide dog. Would definitely recommend and actually already have!

This is quickly becoming a fav. Very nice atmosphere especially during a sunny day, with lots of light coming through the massive windows. Coffee is good. Music is good. Staff really friendly.

Lovely selection of drinks and the chance to sit canal edge away from the street.
Definitely one I will be coming back to

It's brave mix to do coffee and drinks. I'm not sure it really works but if you want a drink they'll probably have it here
W. P.
Great location and always a friendly service

Nice place decided to eat there as it was an independent cafe, quirky cafe bar, only really has sandwich type menu, good coffee food is above average, but not 5 star, very relaxed and worth a visit.
Quite place to relax, by the canal.

Great place for food. Beer coffee so on,has out door seatting at front and down stairs by the water to keep cool.
L. B.
Great place to visit for a drink while relaxing at the side of the canal. Amazing little place to watch the water wildlife, mainly geese, swans and ducks while enjoying a little food and a warm or cold beverage
P. d. W.
Not the Robert Smith themed bar I was expecting, but a lovely selection of beers made up for the lack of back-combed hair and smeary lipstick (although some customers did flirt with that image) and post-punk wonderousness.
k. o.
Nice staff and Heineken was lovely
L. E. C.
Lovely chilled vibe, play great music, staff give a warm welcome!
G. T.
Entered when CDvid was impacting on this establishment. Seeing the environment in the raw revealed this place as having enormous potential as a place for me to drop in when passing. Hopefully you will get through any lockdown announced....good luck.

Staff a little slow in service spent to much time chatting had to remind them about my coffee and when brought over around ten minutes later no apology given. The bar its self is nice but service needs to improve

Excellent friend service, good drinks selection and fantastic bread, cool, vibrant atmosphere but not pretentious at all. Perfect location from train station.

It's what the old cured should have been. Shabby & relaxed with more space. A great little outdoor space along the canal. Chilled but still fairly lively
H. W.
