GREAT SERVICE, FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE AND DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINK!! This place never fails to deliver a warm welcome and the pub is in an idyllic location opposite the church in this beautiful vale of belvoir village. I can highly recommend this place whether it’s a meeting place for your mates or visiting with a young family. The garden to the rear is fab with little huts with heaters and there is even a serving window to the bar. Pub is packed full of character and charm 5 *****

Fabulous food and great real ales. Worth a visit and got a certificate of excellence on TripAdvisor. The best bit was the sticky toffee pudding with custard and lots of toffee sauce. Absolutely delicious. Someone said it is a very handsome pudding!!!!

Our first visit, we have heard so many good things and we were not disappointed. From the friendly faces behind the bar to the courteous service it’s a winner. We had the Ox Burger but could have chosen from a range of pub grub but the highlight was the chips….oh the chips!! It’s a popular destination pub so well worth booking beforehand. Enjoy.

Travelling from an hour away, my partner and I returned to the Durham Ox for the second time in three weeks. We enjoyed the same welcoming hospitality, great food and good ales that we experienced the first time around. The Durham Ox is in a lovely location, has plenty of parking and a fantastic courtyard environment which is perfect for soaking up the lovely weather and having a lazy couple of hours. We highly recommend this as a destination to try, and encourage that one of your party must at least order the fantastic chips which are nothing like anything we've ever had before. Keep up the great work, we'll be back soon.

We had a really enjoyable and delicious family meal at the Durham Ox yesterday, and have eaten there numerous times before. Rick, Traci and the team looked after us well as they always do. It's a lovely pub with a really nice ambience. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. What more can you ask for?! Highly recommended for a delicious, casual meal. And just as good if you're only popping in for a drink!

Discovered on an early Saturday afternoon - quiet at that time. Friendly bar staff and owners. Ordered Prawn Cocktail and expected the usual small bowl but a huge serving arrived of prawns, and salad. It was wonderful. Pate was the next starter - farmhouse, with rich chutney and chunky bread. Our mains were jacket potato worn this and it was HUGE. Really good quality tuna and, rich thick balsamic sauce for the salad. It was really great. Fish and chips was the other main, and the fish was flaky and fresh, with a crisp batter that wasn't oily. There was a tartar sauce to go with the fish and it was exceptional. All around, a great place for us to have found and set will be retuning worth other family members. Thank you!

Great ales, food and staff, spotlessly clean surroundings and amenities. Decent sized car park where we parked our motorhome for free, we did have two meals each as we were at the Oxfest music day for 11 hours. The meat pie is a must, you do have to order them as they only makes a batch of 24. They seem expensive, but the taste, pastry and gravy are gorgeous, as are the triple cooked chips done in dripping. A great and filling meal, all home cooked. Go on, get there, you won't be disappointed by this country, dog friendly pub, with a lovely back garden!

We stopped off here for a quick bite on the way to Peterborough from Nottingham. Food and drinks excellent, ended up staying for an extra hour, enjoying the sun in the relaxing garden... if we found ourselves nearby again would definitely revisit. Slightly out the way this little gem, this friendly village pub has excellent seasonal food. When we went they had pheasant burgers which were excellent. A very pleasant, comfortable pub.

First visit and won't be the ladt. The service and food were excellent..the landlord and landlady were for friendly and efficient. Noise is a bit of an isdye as it's a single bar pub but not so much of an issue to stop us going back.

A very nice country pub, that serves real ale. And is listed by Camra. Has a large beer garden abd also has tables and chairs outside. Rails and hooks to tether horses too is also available. On certain occasions cycle races are held, starting at the pub. A menu is available with traditional pub quusine, but stops cooking at 20:30. We'll worth a visit.
