Met a few of our Breakfast group here, the full English breakfast was spot on. Nice & clean inside with plenty of space available.. will be using again 👍👍

Extremely busy but staff coped without fuss. A member of staff was dedicated to one of our group in a wheelchair. Took her order for the carvery and brought it to her. Food was good, and we weren't rushed to leave after eating. Overall superb.

I did enjoy the carvery . The downside lots and lots of butter in all the veg. I thought it was all yummy but not healthy. The food was nice.
On our second visit it felt like there was only one chef in the whole place. We was waiting for ages to be served. Eventually he rushed out spoligiding. I think he had been cooking other customer request. There is a big menu if you don't want carvery.plenty if sweets, ice creams and what I call heart attack cakes. The cakes look fab. Have a lot if sugar and icing on.
That's my personal opinion. I have never tried a cake. They look very creamy

Attended a friend's birthday meal here. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was really good value and very tasty, good portions. Clean toilets and table service for food and drink available. Really easy to order. Will definitely return. Nice large car park.

We went for a carvery mid afternoon when it was quiet. The meat was good but some of the veg was empty, dry or not hot enough and gravy had lumpy skin on. I've been before at lunch time when it was busy but the food was fresher and hotter. The price is good for what you get but I'm not sure all day carvery is a good idea.

Hi I was there for the first time with an old school friend yesterday ( 9/5/22)
Everything was absolutely superb.
We both had the Carvery which was excellent!
The ambiance was lovely and the staff were great, particularly the young lady that served me. I didn’t catch her name but I remember she is back up home briefly from Birmingham. What an absolute credit she is to you !!
When I am back down in Nottingham ( I used to live here ) again this is the first place I’m coming to .
Thanks again
Steve

Even when busy staff are attentive, polite and have fun with the customers. Food arrived hot and delicious. Can order at the bar but I chose the app which was easy to use and service was quick too. Only negative was I was "forced" to buy a cakeaway by that gorgeously vicious cake stand

Booked a table for 5 Friday for a Sunday, turned up and could not find our booking. The lady on the front was lovely and told us not to worry and got us a table straight away. They lady then came to tell us she found our booking and if we not happy with table she would move us. The place was very busy so i would advise to book. The food was absolutley beautiful, good service, good price and very good customer service. Will be returning.

Amazing meal. Seven family members visited Holly Tree Farm today to celebrate my son’s birthday. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly especially Adele who arrange a surprise slice of cake with a candle and my son’s name wrote on it in icing. It was a lovely gesture and I can’t thank her enough. She is a great member of staff and we will definitely be returning.

Went for lunch on Saturday and the place was busy, very busy. My mum had a carvery as she always does, meat was excellent but the veg were a bit hard. Carrots and Brussel sprouts were rather hard, this has been the case for a few weeks now and have mentioned it to the staff. I know that not every piece of vegetable can be cooked properly but the cooking time just needs to be a couple of minutes longer. Plus with my mum being in her 80s she was struggling to cut the vegetables.

Was a decent roast dinner! Bit tight on the 4 different meats! I’ve worked in kitchens before but these guys carving skills are next level! I’ve written on thicker paper! 1mm thick carving is an art! Oh and I paid extra for pigs in blankets but they were never added to my plate! Couldn’t be bothered to go back! Parsnips needed roasting for a bit longer! But was enjoyable all the same
J.
Nice roast dinner with mediocre portions of meat considering it was a large. Good value overall though

Frequent the sister pub/carvery to this. Riverside Farm.
Holly Tree is just as good, pub is open and spacious. Prices are more than reasonable £6.99 for standard carvery, help yourself to veg and potatoes.
Adequate parking around the building as well.
Brilliant place. Reccomend highly.
J. W.
The food was lovely but the service not so. Took to long to pay and collect carvery and those who ordered set meals weren't served till after the rest of us had eaten. Having said that the lady who welcomed us was excellent.
M. T.
Absolutely avoid on a Sunday. Lovely food but complete lack of staff. Took 40 mins to queue for the carvery which meant our group didn’t even eat together. They prioritise the takeaways to the actual present customers which causes huge delays. Probably a much better experience on a quiet week day but I absolutely will not return on a weekend again.
J. H.
A beautiful cavery with choice of 3 meats. As much of the vegetable cavery you want. Yorkshire Pudding and gravy. Absolutely loved it. Cooked perfectly. Service to order is usually quick even when there is a line up waiting to order.
Very happy.

I have been there few times. Last time I noticed much improvement in every way food, staff, services. My grandson was very pleased with the food. I recommend this carvery and definitely I will visit again.
P. H.
We recently had a family meal here and the food was great value. Most of us had the carvery so there was no waiting around. We will definitely go again in the future.
I. C.
Been here a few times for breakfast now and although the prices have increased slightly we still enjoy it. The staff are very friendly and cheerful, the breakfast is plentiful and always has a good variety on offer and is self service so you can have as much or as little as you want, will definitely be back for breakfast again

Came for food with my grandchildren and their mum to celebrate my grandaughter's 18th birthday, had the standard carvery it was gorgeous. Would highly recommend holly tree farm it's got a great atmosphere and very polite and friendly staff.
Took some galaxy caramel cheesecake home...... absolutely yummy.
m. t.
Had a carvery which was fine but when selecting the vegetables that were on the back row I found the utensils very hot so struggled to hold them which isn't ideal, and then was looking forward to taking 2 pieces of Cake to take away for later after waiting in the queue to be told ones I wanted "they were made but hadn't set yet so wouldn't be ready till later" so was very disappointed and surprised as it was around dinnertime time so you would assume they would be!? , so even though they are on show in the glass cabinet doesn't mean they have them, they could of made customers aware with a sign or something what's available or not at that time instead of waiting to be served and to be told they aren't available!
S. L.
The food was great, but took us to our booked table which was dirty, and floor was all dirty covered with food. Ask someone if they could clear our plates when finished eating as was getting dessert he said in a minute and never came back. Asked a young lady who did it straight away.
d. w.
Absolutely amazing place to eat. Would definitely recommend it.
A. H.
Really nice home made carvery! Used through normal service and too good to go. Gets very busy on a Sunday, that probably speaks for itself.
R. D.
I often go to Holly Tree Farm with my children! This pub is so child friendly and the entertainment on a Friday is great for Children! Perfect family oub as the children have a "Farm Yard" for under 5s where there is space to play! Phoebe in particular is a brilliant member of staff! She's absolutely amazing and always ensure his recieve the best quality service! Would highly recommend! X
G. R.
Brilliant place to eat.with family and friends small children well looked after make.sure.your hungry the meals.are big ,very clean lovely interior decorated to a good standard, definitely I will be eating here again 5 star rating no problem 😊

EDIT - I did make a formal complaint to Greene King head office. It was followed up by the area manager, and dealt with extremely professionally. I received an apology from the regional manager and this was then followed up with a telephone call and apology from the member of staff mentioned below.
For that reason I have increased the review to 4 star, purely because the person in question was kind enough to call, explain and apologise.
I was excited to try here after a recommendation from a friend.
At first I was really impressed, the prices are reasonable, the food was nice, the staff seemed friendly.
Until.. It came to desert time for my daughter. When ordering at the bar I asked for '2 scoops of ice cream'. The bar tender said 'you get one for free anyway', I said OK I'll still order it.
When asking one of the servers if I needed to go and collect it myself,
She said 'was it the free kids ice cream or did you pay'. I said no I ordered some when I paid.
She said she'd check, came upto me with a receipt and asked me the same question.
I said 'when I ordered at the bar I asked for 2 scoops of ice cream. He said you get one scoop free anyway so you, I said OK well I'll order anyway'
She said to me 'I asked you if it was the free ice cream when you spoke to me before and you said no' (in a very rude tone).
I said 'yes because I told the person at the bar I wanted 2 scoops when i was placing the order. And I feel like what you just said to me was quite rude'.
All of a sudden she started arguing with me. This annoyed me because of her tone and the way she was talking to me.
I was made to feel like I was trying to con them out of a single scoop of ice cream, which to be honest is insanity.
So I asked her not to talk to me like that, she called another member of staff right in front of me and said 'you stay here I need a witness'.
To add insult to injury, this lady told me she was a manager.
I've never been so embarrassed and disgusted in all my life. It's absolutely safe to say I won't return.
I understand people in hospitality have suffered a lot of abuselately. But I don't feel like thats my fault, or that I deserved the treatment I got in there today.
The 2 stars would have been a 5 if it wasn't for this 'manager'. I only gave it 2 because the food was nice otherwise I'd have given 0.
K. G.
We like it here but the queue for the carvery is horrendous took at least 35 minutes to get served. They need 2 people carving the meats . It certainly puts you off going..
S. G.
This breakfast eas recommended. So we gave it a go. As vegetarians who dont eat egg, can be tricky to get options...tbis place offered vegan sausages that were tastt, ehole vreakfast was cooked to perfection, and staff were extremely friendly. Kym and Jack, went out of their way for us but it must be said that all staff were super polite and chef did brilliant.
C. R.
Excellent staff lovely mannerisms excellent carvery. Piping hot and fresh. Great on kids holidays. Kids eat for a pound. Lovely place
M. B.
Called today with family all of us said food was barely warm also the chef was a little sharp as he was carving the meat . Don't know if we will go again
S. P.
We went for breakfast during the week. It was quite busy! Obviously popular! The breakfast was lovely! So much choice and very reasonably priced. The waffles are delicious!
A. H.
Very nice carvery. Its busy and could be better organised. But no complaints at all for such good value.
M. P.
Very busy when we went and a lot of things empty. Chef was on his own, so service slower than usual. However even though obviously short staffed a pleasant visit
S. C.
Very busy but we expected that on a Sunday, we were seated straight away and had a lovely carvery. Would recommend ☺️
S. M.
Great carvery, BUT read the SMALL PRINT, you are NOT allowed to go back up for MORE vegetables !!!
NO ANNOUNCEMENT, just the staff coming over to your table and advising you of the SMALL PRINT !!!
J. e.
We love it here , food beautiful and a lovely friendly place ,staff very helpful xx we dined in and took one of your beautiful cakes home x yummy 😋
R. B.
Food is always lovely some of the staff really friendly and look and act professionally but some of the staff look like thye have not got a clue at times love the puddings
H. W.
Absolutely delicious carvery .Avoided the carrots to hard for me. Definitely going again. Plates were emptied by my son and me. 👍👏👏👏
E. J.
Carvery would have been excellent if the vegetables had been cooked a little longer, they were far too hard.
A. H.
If you love all you eat type places then this is your heaven the breakfast are amazing and the price is dead on.will be back next Saturday morning
G. J.
I didn't actually go into eat, I dropped family off, who said they liked it, I thought it was a bit far to say that there's other restaurants closer to home.
A. S.
Always a great place to eat, whether it’s breakfast or dinner the choice is great and the service is top notch.
K. L.
Pretty decent food reasonably priced when kids eat free. Nice pub
N. E.
Went over for 'all you can eat' breakfast and it didn't disappoint, excellent food and friendly service.
S.
Food is great, but the carvery would be better if you could have more than 2 thin slices of meat.
S. W.
Had a really great evening there with a group of 30. The staff were brilliant... Really helpful and patient... Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure that everyone was happy. Holly took our original booking and was super helpful and Kim and Julie looked after us on the night and were fantastic! 😁 The food was good and the giant éclairs had us in stitches! 😂
E. D.
Lovely warm welcome as soon as we arrived.
We were asked if we had visited before, which we hadn't, so our server explained how we ordered.
Food came hot and well presented and tasted lovely
All staff were friendly and polite
As I walked to the bar to order desserts, a member of staff told me about their special puddings
Definitely visit again
Thank you for a lovely evening
A. F.
I'm usually a big fan of this pub but when we ordered our take away, we had to wait 20 minutes for someone to start our order? It was quite cramped in there but that's when there should be 2 people working in take outs not just 1. It was so busy that people walked into you. Take away food was a bit bland not much meat on there but lots of veg. Was a bit disappointing
M. H.
This pub is near my old workplace and is ideal for after work drinks. As it was my last day yesterday we asked if we could have an area of the pub for a group. The manager put out two stools as to stop others from sitting with us. Nothing was too much trouble.
o. b.
Absolutely fantastic place for food, family friendly with a huge menu with plenty of choice. Kym the manager really does have a fantastic team and always makes us feel welcome and makes the time to say hello and catch up even when she is busy. Jack always looks after us too. Highly recommended and Holly Tree will always be our go to place.
C. D.
As you asked for further details on why I gave only a 3 star rating. I recently visited and was advised to order via the app. My Daughter order 3 for the carvery. Within a few minutes one of your staff brought out a pudding which we had ordered but didn't want until want until after we had eaten our carvery. Your staff member apologies. We then sat there for 20 minutes with no sign of our tickets for the carvery. My Daughter had to go to the bar to see why. Our tickets were sat there but nobody had bothered to bring them to our table or the drinks we had ordered
R. L.
Great breakfast, can't wait to go back to try the carvery
C. W.
We recieved a warm friendly welcome as soon as we got there from a lovely waiter called jack who made sure we had everything we needed and hes around if we needed anything. Jack came to the table once making sure we were enjoying the meal then left us too it which was great as we had been somewhere before and the waiters were always bothering us. The food is wonderfully cooked with a large variety of vegetables on the carvery. I would highly recommend Holly Tree Farm
P. T.
This is my first time at the pub and I only passed it by chance on my way past Aldi down to Trowell Garden Centre... anyway I digress
.1st class food I must admit, and the Carvery got a salad bar as well ...because I'm a lady of a certain age I had the Golden Years menu £6.99 two courses ,which I had ..and it was very very nice, so much choice and so was the pudding.. and then after that nipton next door's to Aldi.. things have to be done some time.. Do try the place it's lovely..
J. D.
Beautiful carvery as usual.1st time tasting the dolphinoise dish. it was so tasty I asked for the recipe.staff very polite and obliging.
C. B.
Carvery could of been hotter. But good quality. I had the crumble which quite honestly was superb, and lots of it. Certainly will return.
G. B.
Busy place which is a good sign that a place is worth going to. Food is usual pub fayre but nice enough. Great for kids too.
R. M.
Fantastic venue with a lovely menu, especially the carvery. Friendly staff and great service. Definitely recommend
C. L.
Fantastic buffet breakfast with a bottomless tea or coffee. Choose a small (£4.99), standard(+/-£5.99) or large buffet breakfast.(+/-£6.99). Friendly customer service and good housekeeping. A carvery is also on offer. 👍
J. K.
Was nice food, very busy. Went on farther day for breakfast.
C. B.
Great food. Hot, plenty and quick to arrive to say the place was rammed. Will be going back to Holly Tree Farm. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.
S. C.
Great food, staff and venue unfortunately the way you now pay for coffee/tea extra and all you can eat breakfast and not plate size at an increased price doesn't suit me.
P. S.
Staff are great, food (carvery) was great, a great selection of veggies but get there early because it gets packed. I sat at our table and told my mother to get her meal which took about 15 minutes, then went up for mine. By the time I had got back she was sitting at an empty table. It's that busy but I can't fault the food, it was 100% and we will be back.
T. E.
Krystal was very accommodating and came to our rescue after we were very disappointingly let down by the Three ponds.we had booked well in advance for a large party, family had travelled up from the south and when we turned up at the Three ponds they told us there was a 2 hour wait for food, this was not acceptable. We phoned the Holly tree farm and were warmly welcomed by Krystal who was able to get us a table inside despite the size of our party and short notice.Thank you Krystal for the great customer service, you saved the day.
s. s.
Very welcoming and accommodating to your needs excellent service and friendly staff breakfast is amazing and the carvery is awesome definitely a must try pub restaurant they also are a special occasion more special
D. C.
Visited Holly Tree inn on Thursday 9th Dec for the first time, very warm welcome. The carvery we had was very tasty, the beef was carved thinner than I could ever manage, but really tender. The veg selection was excellent, and the dauphinoise potatoes were the best.
The cakes for dessert, were outstanding.
We will be back!
N. “. P.
Great place for family & kids staff ive come across have been very helpful chatty and welcoming nice play/games area for children and lots of outside seating esp summer days prices are reasonable and the best thing about here is the great cakes and ice cream selection 😋😋🥗🥂🍴🍗🍦🍰🍻 look out for Lisa lovely lady was on family area on my birthday and look after our group so well thank you🤗👍🏼 oh not to forget you can take away 😋😁
M. A.
Food was very delicious. All meats very tender and given plenty. Very reasonably priced. Helped ourselves to other food. Was very very busy and queue was huge so only downfall was waiting time to pay and then queue to be served meat. Should have been more than 1 carver!
Little play area for the children which is great.
Desserts to die for and the giant eclair in the cake away cabinet- beware you get the whole thing!!!!
K. W.
Great food, lovely and warm. Great service, staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Would go again. Thank you to the staff at Holly Tree.
K. E.
Love this place. Such friendly staff always there to help, food is always lovely.Kym the manager is absolutely amazing couldn’t ask for a better pace to go for food x
A. s.
Food was OK not the best but what do you expect it's better than cooking. There was plenty of choice to have . Staff was friendly enough I would go again 👍
D.
Very good selection of food, enough to give everyone in your party an option. Decent prices and very generous portions.
R. M.
Fantastic meal for a friends 50th. Staff we're fabulous too. I'd recommend to anyone to pay a visit here.
C. B. r.
We eat at Holly tree on a very busy weekend as it was pay weekend it was full to the rafters, but after being turned away from.other pubs i rang prior to arrival and the wonderful manager kim squeezed us in as we were a family of 6 she went above and beyond for us as did nathan who got us seated quickly and made sure we had everything we needed.
Julie who took our order on the till was extremely patient with us as my husband had to find a meal from the menu he could eat as he only eats halal meat, and with her help we did it and enjoyed everything he had,and she did everyrhing we asked for with ease and generosity and we were so very greatful to her to make him feel part of the family meal, couldn't of asked for a more lovely team in such a busy, stressful time of day not one member of staff showed any signs of weakness in their job role, everyone was amazing,it was my first time eating thete and although we would probably go at a quieter time next time,we will most definitely be returning,i can't thank the Holly tree team enough❤
M. H.
Came to holly tree on Friday and the woman who was showing us to our tables was apsalutely lovely I didn’t catch her name but she definitely made our experience the best yet.
w. b.
Great place to eat, Not to busy for a Saturday lunch, very reasonably price with plenty on offer, the cake away is to die for.
K. H.
Cold chips again but dealt with quickly with no fuss, lovely waiting staff.
S. O.
Came today for the new unlimited breakfast 6.99 it was great plenty to choose from all fresh runny eggs how i like them abd charlene S hope spelt name right was a lovely friendly and helpful and such a nice person 100% will be back again just taking one of the cakes now which look fab for tea time as wont need to eat till then thank you to other staff as well
S. A.
Today proved that the Holly tree farm dining was a 1star rating it was poor on Al aspects of the dining experience poor food getting less and less for your money meat that was that wafer thin you couldn't taste it no veg poor condiments lack of gravey and to top that it would not have taken as long to queue up for your meal it would have been quicker at school and at least you could ask for seconds very poor experience won't be going back there in a hurry
j. b.
Service was fast and friendly, food wasn't that great but excellent cakes to take away
C.
Great meal but was heaving and busy on a sunday , table sitter with bags etc hadn’t finished in the queue before rest had eaten almost all of their meals …
S. B.
Went for the carvery and enjoyed it. Slightly more selection than many other carveries too
A. B.
Had a lovely Sunday carvery yesterday. Shame the drinks are expensive but will definitely visit again
M. C.
Had a lovely meal, Carvery looked nice too, my steak was lovely, daughter had the chicken with Diane sauce, her new favourite. The cake slices are massive, they even do boxes to take your pudding away! Excellent when full, pudding another meal in it's self and all made on site! not frozen offerings like other food places.
M. C.
Staff are great, good menu breakfast . The buffet food is hit or miss
B. Y.
Visited with my mum, matt and Julie very accommodating asset to the team 😀 carvery yum yum! Will return x
G. B.
Only my second time here and during both visits I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the atmosphere is, even though it was teeming with hungry eaters.
Firstly, staff were very friendly and welcoming, explaining what we had to do regarding track and trace etc.
We were seated quickly and after a lengthy debate about what to order( the menu has much more choice here than other pubs) the process was easy and quick using the app.
Food arrived fairly quickly even though they were very busy, and tasted amazing.
Well worth every penny spent.
If my budget can stretch to a weekly outing I'll be back next week with the family.
Thanks!
G. O.
Booked a table for 2 people, was looking forward to have a Sunday carvery but unfortunately when we got there was told that there was a problem and the carvery was not available, stayed and had a meal off the menu but could only have chips with our meal .
C. W.
Had a lovely birthday meal for yesterday 18 March my my partner and family. Great value for money
G. H.
First time visitor. Friendly welcome. Food (Hunters Chicken) great taste. Worth a visit.
E. W.
Visited here a couple of times previously and really enjoyed it. Never managed to fit in their amazing cakes, so when the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme was announced, was keen to try out this pub and planned to take my discounted cake home!
Booked in for 6 of us on Mon 11th Aug. We arrived on time and the pub was heaving. There was a long queue outside and we had to queue for a few mins (was fine) even with our booking. Those who hadn't booked I assume had much longer waits.
We were told by the servers how we could order all through the Green King app, and that nom-carvery food would be a 45 min wait. Appreciated the honesty so we could manage children expectations! On arrival of food, it was all good. Massive portions, really the amount of chips could be half!! Nothing fancy at all but good prices.
However 2 issues. We were seated in an area of the pub that was boiling hot. Appreciate it was a hot day, but other areas of the pub had lovely AC flowing. We were sweating, and I'm a sun lover. It just was too hot. 2nd issue, we ordered puddings to go and they took forever to arrive. I had to chase a member of staff twice to locate them. By the time they arrived we just wanted to escape as it was so warm. I felt bad for the staff as they looked very overwhelmed/worked but at the same time we just wanted to get out of their hair too! Cakes were tasty, but I was disappointed by the flavour of the choc orange cake. It had quite a strong artifical flavour. Marz Attack was delicious though. Style over substance but still glad to have tried them at last.
I'd recommend the pub but I think the combination of so many people going for the offer, and the heat, made it an experience I wouldn't want to try again soon.
A. w. J.
I've been here 3 times and the food has always been great, bit on the expensive side.
S. U.
Carvery was lovely only one thing I'd change is the fruit crumble had way to much sugar in it ,too sickly, apart from that it was good .
T. H.
Excellent staff and excellent service food is lovely will recommend to family and friends
M. N.
We went as a family of six including two small children, as it advertises a children's play area. Extremely disappointing to discover it was a fenced off area with one wooden tractor and trailer with 4 soft play hay bales. The rest of the area was full of pay to play machines and games. Not very entertaining for a one and three year old.
The Carvery was good, reasonably priced, and plenty of choice, with great service from the polite and helpful staff. The children's meals were huge, and they did enjoy them.
Not a bad place to go, but we would probably go elsewhere with the children.
M. S.
Food was fantastic and good sized portions, I'm not too sure about ordering and paying for drinks at the bar, then having to return to your table and the staff bring your drinks when they are ready, has it's pro's and con's I suppose. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them. All in all a very much enjoyed family meal was had, all 33 of us
A. B.
Great place to come for breakfast....and they're open from 8am too!!
They mainly cater for people wanting the buffet option, but what's on offer was cooked well, and there was plenty of it. They're also now allowing you to help yourself too. The price is pretty good too £5.49 for a standard breakfast, and £1.99 for Bottomless tea or coffee).
The staff are extremely friendly and attentative, and couldn't do enough for you.
Certainly worth a try if you're in the area.
B. M.
Lovely family meal staff had put several tables together to accommodate large group food was excellent
C. M.
Can't find fault with this place at all. Good selection of traditional 'pub grub' all served well, tasty and hot. Friendly team to make you feel welcome. Drive to destination but loads of parking spaces. Will definitely be back
S. c. m.
Second time at holly tree farm staff very good food not quite up to standard I’ll go back but the food needs to go up a gear before it can score five star’s.
M. S.
Crystal always looks after me and my family when we come in. Food and service is always spot on and we love coming here. If you haven't been before we definitely recommend you do. Staff can't do enough
E. T.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Brilliant service, even at the busiest peak times.
T. “. S.
Slow service at the bar and couldn't use Bluelight on the app, so had to order at the bar. Looked understaffed on the bar staff
C. W.
Excellent staff and service. Portions are always generous. Great place to fill up with the family.
E. M.
Carvery is not as good as I thought a few items untidy and dried out meat is good though and staff uninterested. Not impressed first time we have been ,not sure if would go again.
K. G.
Had a lovely roast dinner delivered unfortunately no Yorkshire puddings
G. H.
Came today dec 26th 2021 and as always a young guy i think called owen? Made our experience a pleasant one . He always finds the time to chat to us and everyone around and check all is ok he never stops when we are in there and always has a smile for his customers. He makes coming here a nice experience and the food today was beautiful aswell a great time was had .but a big up and high five for owen he is a credit to the pub 😀
R. B.
Lovely pub and atmosphere. Kym and all the staff are always polite and professional. The food is also always amazing. Highly recommend.
M. D.
Visited the Holly Tree Farm 23/7/21 while staying at the Delta Marriott Hotel. Although the place was extremely busy the staff still managed to accommodate our large party by dragging tables together. As we had two small children we were in the children's area.
The food was value for money. The staff were very busy and rushed off their feet. 8:00pm seemed to be a busy period. I've awarded 5 stars particularly for one member of staff. The drinks waitress couldn't do enough for us and was very apologetic for the understandable wait for our drinks. Unfortunately one member of our party was impatient and rude to the lady which is not acceptable and very embarrassing. Please pass on our apologies. I don't have the ladies name unfortunately, but she was a credit to the business. If I could award her more than 5 stars I would. ( The rude person will not be out in my company ever again ). Good luck for the future.
A. G.
Absolutely love this place, always have the carvery and it always tastes nice. The staff can't do enough for you. Was my daughter's birthday, we brought a cake and they brought it out at the end of the meal, sung happy birthday with us. A+. Love the little guy, reminds me of Macaulay Culkin.....always a delight to speak to. Lol, sorry little guy
C.
Amazing food here and i’ve never had to wait super long for food which is always great for when you’re hungry
R. S.
Really great and accomodating for a late dinner after a long drive from Suffolk, good food and friendly staff.

E. P.
Never can complain when we visit.
Kim greeted us today and was very friendly and professional. The manager Chris also made sure we was enjoying ourself and he has very good organisation of the pub. 10/10 go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and your experience is great.
P. S.
enjoyed all you can eat breakfast.Staff were wonderful.
N. F.
Just been to the breakfast with Santa with my family and 2 year old granddaughter, it was fantastic massive thanks to the staff on this well run event, breakfast was lovely definitely will be returning, well done alldone
M. H.
Fantastic food and service. Biggest portions around and great value
M. S.
Amazing food and very quick service time, cant recommend highly enough
t. n.
Staff helpful and attentive but cleanliness was disappointing. We had to get the table cleaned even before we ordered. All shelves dusty too. Food was okay but we had to get a second pot of tea as the first wouldn't pour. It was quite busy when we were there but that's no excuse for poor hygiene.
A. L.
We went on a very busy Sunday for the Carvery so it was a little too busy, but wonderfully friendly staff and a good hearty meal was had. Desert options was to die for yummy! All in all a lovely visit with great service.
T. B.
This is pretty local so have been here a lot, pick your time to visit because it can get very very busy of a weekend for breakfast and lunch, so come very early. The carvery and breakfast is always consistant never had a reason to complain, the price is excellent and the staff are always friendly and helpful, but do spare a thought for them when its really busy they get rushed off thier feet but still do a great job.
d. b.
Great carvery and puddings to die for. We even had to have a doggie bag to take half the crumble home. It cost £3.99. Excellent value
D. K.
Good prices and atmosphere, the carvery is slightly hit and miss as on some occasions it has been great and on others not so good.
S. A.
Love this restaurant. So polite. Only every had one issue and have been going at least twice or 3 times a month still. Brilliant staff.
J. P.
Absolutely lovely food and staff will be back
K. G.

If you are like me and love food this is the place to visit. Carvery was amazing, service was fantastic and good ale to boot. What more could one ask for
A. G.
Lovely atmosphere. Warm and inviting. Food was fresh and lovely and Charlene was really helpful xx
S. H.
Loved our family visit today the food was delicious and the staff were very helpful. We were mad to feel very welcome and safe 😃
L. G.
Came here for an bonoffee icecream sundae they are amazing.
The only thing I don't like about this place is that it is always rammed with people, so very noisy and you have to queue for a while to get served.
I prefer places that are more relaxed.
But I do like the deserts here.....
V. B.
Lovely atmosphere, food great, clean and most of all I felt covid safe. Chris was very efficient in taking our order at the table with a friendly smile and good banter in these difficult times. Will deffo go back for CAKE next time xx
S. A. B.
First time I have visited and very pleased with what I found. We all settled on carvery a medium plate and it was excellent. We opted for extra pigs in blankets too. Large Yorkshire pudding and choice of beef, Turkey or gammon. Roast and mashed potatoes. Gorgeous roast parsnips plus cauliflower cheese and red cabbage. There were also Brussels and beans plus carrots. I didn't even clear my plate so no chance of a Pudding. Lovely attentive staff with great service.
m. z.
Great friendly place to eat. It was very busy but we were served excellently cooked and presented food
M. B.
We were sat right by the children's play area. It was so noisy you could not hear yourself talk. Food was ok, just really skimped on the meat for the carvery, although there was plenty of vegetables to fill up on.
C. H.
Lovely food, came for a friends birthday and went above and beyond to tend of 20 people, great service wonderful staff
R. C.
Seemed like new staff today...absolutely fantastic service best we have had there.
Meal was lovely plated up by a nice man behind the carvery. Clean and professional.
a. b.
Got my curry mixed up ordered tikka and got korma as they said no tikka so I must have ordered korma which I don't like so wouldn't have ordered in 1st place. Changed for the fish supper not the best 😜 be had but ok. So unhappy giving this feedback as normally good.
T. R.
Nice carvery everything hot and cooked well with a good selection of vegetables.
J. B.
I have to say Thank You to every member of staff that was working tonight.
We booked with an hours notice for 14 and the staff accommodated us with nothing too much trouble. We were let down by our original restaurant , the customer service was like chalk and cheese.
You made us all feel Welcome and we will deffinatley be back time and again.
A. C.
Perfect for everyone although if u haven't got little ones sit away from the play area which is brilliant if u have little ones
Food is brilliant especially breakfast not tried the Calvery yet but will do .. all self service and refillable tea or coffee only.. not capachino ect.will return..
WiFi works well too .
Ice cream and deserts look fantastic .
H.
Lovely meal from the carvery. Had beef and turkey both were perfect. Bit disappointed with the choice of veg wasn't up to there usual. Will visit again though.
L. S.
really good food.. service good, it was a week day lunch at 2pm so not that busy. I will go back when in the area
L. B.
Great food and service. The team are really friendly and can't do enough for you. We will be back.
P. O.
Requested table service but was kept waiting for over half an hour, luckily we were able to use the App instead.
None of the staff seemed to check on us, they served the table next to us, and could see we were waiting. But still nothing.
We tried to get the attention of one of the managers, someone in a white shirt, but again nothing.
We have been before and it was loads better, disappointed this time.
J. K.
Good food very friendly staff great service all round
T. H.
Very nice food and friendly staff. The manager is very attentive and makes sure you are at ease. Always have a great experience when I come here.
e. h.
Love this pub very welcoming food delicious staff friendly
S. B.
Staff friendly, chefs excellent and food always good.
H. W.
Pleasant and helpful staff. Good food and cooked just right
M. F.
As regular visitors we have always been happy with the service. The one occasion it was less than acceptable it was dealt with promptly and professionally. Last fee visits we have been welcomed by Crystal and she is a credit to the management.
A. M.
Ordered a carvery from here for takeaway as we are celebrating Christmas early! Couldn’t ask for anything better, came nicely packaged in a box with the gravy and Yorkshire in a separate bag. All we had to do when we got home was pour the gravy on the way we wanted and eat. Well presented and polite staff.
K. S.
Very nice carvery , good selection & reasonably priced
Y. t. l.
Absolutely love coming to holly tree farm, Kym and the staff are friendly and go above and beyond, food always spot on, shall be returning very soon :)
D. W.
I have been here many times and it has always been a good carvery.
Today, it took 2 and a half hours from arriving to dinner and leaving.
We arrived for a 3.15 booking, table for 4.. we waited 30 minutes to get in due to an excess of bookings last minute. A 30 min wait to be seen, 30 mins to be called for carvery, eating time and it took ages to leave as we wanted a takeaway carvery. A really bad experience.
This place doesn't look like it's equipped suitably for covid and a busy Sunday and unfortunately have been caught out by a poor booking system.
It should not let people book if it cannot seat them all in good time.
I've been many times, might I add and I would still return. Overall it is good quality, good price and a good place but today was an exception. During covid times, I'd avoid a Sunday and go on a different day.
The poor staff were nearly running, due to the demand, getting shouted at by annoyed customers approaching to queue, getting pulled all over by customers inside and it was hot inside. It didn't look to be a pleasant shift but under the amount of pressure, when we needed them, they were really helpful and for the most part, we couldn't fault them.
I will not be returning on a Sunday but will go back when covid has calmed or go on a different day.
The staff are always good, food is good, place is good, this was just an exception in exceptional times.
D. K.
This is my go to place for food when I am in the area. Nice warm inviting atmosphere and all ages catered for. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very friendly and efficient. The carvery is excellent as too is the menu. Give it a go you wont be disappointed.
R. M.
There are no words apart from amazing place great staff and food lovely
A. W.
Carvery amazing best for a long time cheesy mash exceptional
A. W.
We went to this establishment recently..we had the Sunday lunch carvery..its was superb..very satisfying..the service was friendly and attentive..we have been for meals here on other days and enjoyed them...but anyone looking for a happy/successful Family Sunday lunch..I would certainly have to strongly recommend...
S. M.
Who doesn't love a carvery? This is a great place for it!
S. B.
Fantastic experience today from the moment we walked in, lovely welcome from the team, shown straight to our table, and informed how to order, ordered carvery at the bar, server was so lovely, friendly, helpful and very polite, we ordered quickly and got our carvery with no waiting, great service and the food was excellent, couldn't fault our visit and will definitely return again soon, great team, lovely food and would highly recommend
K. C.
Always bizzy staff are very helpful food excellent 👌
V. G.
Would go there again food was very good and dessert was very good Would go there again.
R. W.
Really good value for money. Young enthusiastic staff. Carvery had a great variety of veg...my kebab-steak combo was so good. Unique parlour ice cream and MASSIVE cakes taste amazing at start then taste to Rich so take them home and share.
A. S.
We only had tea and coffee with cream and jam scones; (it wasn't lunch time) but the service was very welcoming, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Tea and coffee were both good and the scones came with loads of cream and jam, scrumptious!
The menu looked enticing and reasonably priced, I'd go back for a meal any time.
I was very pleased to see all staff wearing appropriate PPE, something I've noticed still doesn't happen in some restaurants, as well as many other businesses where it's mandatory.
Although not in action until Monday, the new track and trace system was carefully explained to me, by the receptionist who demonstrated with my phone what to do, for the next time.
P. H.
1st visit today we had the carvery which was excellent quick service and staff very pleasant .We will definitely be back to try different meals off the brilliant menu
T. C.
Not very impressive I'm afraid. There wasn't a full selection of meats in the carvery, the vegetables were very over cooked and a wait of 45 minutes for the desert. We won't go again.
P. C.
Pleasant staff, clean environment. You pay for what you get. Poorly craved Turkey, uneadabale stuffing. Teasteless food. Would not go again
K. B.
We came a couple of weeks ago. I can't fault the food & staff. We were shown to our seats by what looked like the manager, he explained clearly what we had to do to order and couldn't do enough for us ! Very polite & welcoming. The pressure these guys must be under aswell doesn't bare thinking about. We will definitely return, well done on such great service to make your customers feel welcome under these circumstances.
A. G.
Decent carvery and very good prices.
G. B.
Loved it. Beautiful carvery very helpful staff xxx
B. X.
Very very bizzey to many people in pub .4 deep at bar ran out of IPA .10 min in Queue FOR Carvery. NOT a very good experience
M. J.
It's okay if you fancy a carvery. Not the best
P. B.
Reasonably good for a standard pub/diner with set meals. The "Farmhouse" Group provides a family environment, with food which is predictable, comfortable and suitably priced. They are not intended to be up market retaurants.
L. H.
Great food,be latered fathers day meal.
T. D.
Good food and the staff are friendly, service was a little slow as food ran out quickly and took awhile for them to restock. Great place to eat tho will be going back
V.
Really good food and nice staff. We were served quickly and the place was great.
I. C.
Tried this place for the first time. Lovely and clean and staff were great. Only lost 1 star as they were a little disorganised and some of the food was cold
T. H.
Large menu, nice food, large amount of seats, huge cakes
B. W.
Got there early. Gave us a seat straight away. Was a slight problem with the drinks order but was rectified straight away. Wife had a carvery, very straight forward and quick. Mine and my sons order of steak was on the table before she came back with hers. Very quick service. Very polite staff. The desserts are mega big and taste beautiful. However the foot long éclair is definitely for more than one person 😆. Will definitely be going back again. Picture of the half eaten Marz attack. Honestly you definitely get your moneys worth
B. P.
This place was very average really, didn't have much character. The staff asked us to order drinks from "the app" but didn't say which app that was so had to Google it. I like the move to digital ordering but I feel companies should have QR barcodes linking to the app or website they want customers to use.
A. L.
Oh my goodness the place was soooo busy but despite that the staff, who were run off their feet, were supper helpfull from manager to table staff could not of been more helpful and so nice. The carvery is well worth the money and a real contender for" best heaped plate " meat tender, veg not soggy and all of it full of flavour. Had a " slice " of Malteeser cheese cake, more like 2 " door steps " a Masive amount. I can eat cake with the best of them but this was TOO much in fact took it home and had 4 helpings from it . I would give the " Holly farm " a 11 out of 10 just on the staff alone. Highly recommend you book but if you drop in now you may have a bit o a waite but I would advise you do .
J. K.
Nice pub with good food, modern features such as ordering via app to table and great parking. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
S. T.
The food was lovely. I couldn't fault it.
S. H.
The carvey was very tasty with plenty of veg on offer.
R. K.
Great staff and great service and amazing carvery
R. B.
Meal was absolutely outstanding and the staff cannot do enough for you it's a pleasure to go somewhere and feel very welcome
V. J.
First time I have been
Food was lovely
Will definitely go again
K. N.
Very good meal for the price
CARVERY And PRESET MEALS + TAKE AWAY MEALS
K. B.
12 of us had a table booked for a surprise birthday. On arriving at the table a member of staff automatically assumed that we weren't the party booked for the table and told us it was reserved - yes for us! So a little more training for the staff would be good! Great play area for kids - ours are 1, 6, 13 and 14 - they were kept entertained! Carvery was worth the money. A bit of a wait mid serving though. Overall worth the visit
R. S.
Food was good, especially the puddings. Service was great.
S. S.
Good food Good service. At a reasonable price
s. u.
Lovely evening with good food. Our waitress was very helpful and moved us to a different table as we were close to the door and felt a little draughty.
M. S.
Very good quality food and great staff
O.
Me and my partner went here for lunch, first time was spot on I had chicken and my partner had a burger, was great no complaints but second time we came we both had the mushroom chicken pie, my partners one was fine but my one had pink chicken inside! Asked a waitress to bring back a properly cooked one but the second one seemed microwaved as the pastry was soft, first impression was good but let down on second visit.
A. H.
Average experience. We booked a table for 7pm Saturday night so a busy time. Our table had been taken apparently so we were told to find an alternative which took a little doing under the circumstances. After 10 minutes were seated. The carvery was average. Some vegetable dishes were empty. Some vegetables were very over cooked. The cauliflour cheese was lovely. Staff tried very hard at a busy time. The carvery server was excellent.
S. D.
Food is great and even entertainment for the kids last time I was there. It is very much a family restaurant so do keep this in mind if you have an issue with kids being kids. Some people will disagree with me here but the meals seem too big for me. I find a starter and then I can't finish my main, never mind finding room for cake. And the cake is a meal in itself, even the kids can't finish it and they are bottomless pits normally.
A. N.
Meal was nice, but having to wait 20 minutes for your drink to be brought to your table, even though it wasn't too busy, put me off for future visit
D. K.
The food was lovely and the building is very new and looks great. However, the cleanliness could be better, there was food all over the carpet near our tables and the toilets needed attention. I was there on a Monday and it wasn't particularly busy so the restaurant should have been reasonably clean and tidy. The staff also got our dessert orders wrong and we were served different ice cream flavours to what we had ordered.
L. C.
Visited for my mum's 70th birthday. The food and service was both faultless. Would highly recommend. Also felt they had all necessary safety measures in place to protect both staff and customers during the current situation. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely evening.
P. K.
The reason I gave this a three star was solely on the meal I had, I had the steak and ale pie and I thought the pastery was very hard like it was over cooked. But on the whole my partner enjoyed her meal (Sunday lunch burger). The place was lovely and the staff very friendly so it hasn't put me off going again, I've been told the Sunday dinner's are great, so we'll be back for one of those. Unless I'm barred that is! 🤔
P. S.
A quite new establishment with a carvery and a usual choice of menus. The great thing about the carvery is that there are 3 sizes of plate to choose from which makes it better if your appetite is no longer on the large side. The menu is extensive on all counts with delicious-looking desserts to die for! The place is warm and friendly and very family-orientated but that side of things is separated very subtly by making sure that for the peace and quiet favoured by the many more mature diners the two sections are nicely apart by a small distance. Prices are very reasonable. A good place for a pub lunch with friends.
L. H.
Top notch food, very clean and tidy, polite helpful staff
S. S.
Booked a table for 5pm sat 22 5 21 had a lovely meal Sammy was very nice .and very helpful nothing was to much trouble felt relax.and social distancing was in place well organized . will definitely book again thank you Sammy . Sharon spray
W. C.
Went for a nice family meal here, plenty of tables which is good. They have a carvery or you can order off the menu. Order at the bar place, no table orders. We ordered off the menu. The wait wasn't to bad, though nothing to entertain the children unlike some places that offer crayons and activities. When the food came the order was wrong, although corrected it doubled the wait time as they had to prepare another full meal. They did however correct it by offering to upgrade the kid dessert.
I wasn't overly impressed by the taste of the meal I had, farmhouse sausage and mash, and there was not enough gravy provided. Other than that, it was good enough for a cheap meal out.
G.
First visit after Covid restrictions so not sure what to expect but have to say our server Jamie and the other staff were brilliant and could not have done any more to make us feel welcome. The balance between keeping people safe whilst not detracting from enjoying the whole dining experience is difficult to achieve but you have cracked it here. It was obvious that the staff were working really hard to make sure everyone felt at ease and we will be back again soon. Special thanks to Jamie.
A. H.
Called up last minute for a group of 8 for a cavery on a Sunday and was able to get a spot, staff were very helpful and friendly.
Prices are spot on 9.99 for a large cavery!
The puddings were very well priced too and huge!! Cheesecake was just over 5 quid and you have to share it its massive.
We had a lovely lady called Charlene she came over and interacted with the kids, made sure weel were all OK! Sorted our puddings, she was very professional friendly and really made the experience there fantastic, a real credit to the company.
Food was delicious and will 100% return in the future
P. W.
Great for kids! The cakes are divine.
D. A.
Thought the food was was of a good quality for the price. It was very busy and loud when we went... Though to be fair it was a Sunday afternoon.
Very child friendly, parking was good. Cake section is a must... Even if it is to take home after a large carvery.
Decour is a little basic but other than that a good trip, would return.
S. W.
Basically a more expensive and not as nice Toby's carvery
C. S.
Really lovely place. Everything new and fresh. Was the best carvery I've had in a long time. Love that there are other meals so choose from other than a carvery so you have options. Staff really welcoming also. We will be back soon!
C. V.
Just had the best carvery ever. Told manager so too. Brilliant food and plenty of space round the table with out asking other diners to move their chair. Definitely going again. Font forget to book. :)
A. G. U.
Food was lovely. Very slow service at the bar need more bar staff on.
M. J.
Visited on the 21/5/21, the staff are amazing as they were all clearly unbelievably busy. Great food but most of all timely service and brilliant staff
C.
OK if you love carvery. Although we sent food back from the normal menu and went during a quite time (Friday 2pm) and one of us had to wait 20 minutes for a carvery, god help anyone during busy times. I'm personally not a fan of this place as I have a little one to entertain so queueing for ages isn't an option. One of the ladies gave us free desserts to make up for the wait which was very generous and she agreed there shouldn't be long waiting times when it's hardly busy.
E. B.
Came in for a meal day before 2.0 lock down. Food was amazing, staff were great and followed covid safe guides. Great pricing too. Carnt wait for you to reopen to get a yummy carvery and a cake to take away.
M. G.
Me and my partner will often go to Holly Tree Farm for a quick bite to eat. Yesterday we chose not to have the usual Carvery (which is always delicious) and had food off the menu instead. There was a slight wait and the food arrived after 45 minutes which was a little unusual but didn't bother us. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed our meal. As we were about to leave the manager apologised for the delay and offered us each a cake to take away. Very good service and tasty food as always.
G. P.
Lovely service, lovely food amazing cake away will definitely be back soon.
S. B. N. T. S.
Fantastic Service and also Value for Money 💰
My Wife and I enjoyed our Meal and Service we visited on Saturday 4th December 2021 during the busiest time of the evening...around 6.30pm when majority people like to dine .
We were greeted at the entrance by JACK who proved to be a brilliant 👏 Waiter and also very interesting to talk to
A. F.
Myself my hubby and 2 friends. Come regularly to this pub. We enjoy the meals, but we especially enjoy seeing a lady called Sammy. She is always polite and very helpful. We especially love her table service and her smile. She always smiling, never stops running around, and she makes coming into the pub/restaurant a pleasure. Please extend our thanks and gratitude to Sammy. She deserves a medal. Especially in these times at the moment. Thankyou for being you. Your a lovely lady. X
L. W.
We advise booking if you want to go for Sunday lunch or you may have a bit of a wait. We had the carvery and it was really good. There are also veggie options available. The staff were very busy but were attentive, efficient and friendly. If you find your too full from your meal you can always take a pudding home from the cakeaway.
P. S.
What you'd expect from those kind of place. Never had a bad meal to be fair.
E. N.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my granddaughters 15th. So took cake with us
The staff kept it for us lit the candles ready. It was a great night the food was great. We as a family go quite often as its local friendly. Great value for money. And great welcome from staff members.
C. M.
A great local carvery with plenty of seating and selection of drinks. The meat is good quality but the sides and accompaniments can be hit or miss. Can also get very busy on certain evenings but is usually fairly quiet during the days. I would also recommend the self serve buffet style breakfast.
D. S. B.
Beautiful carvery. Also a small area for young children to keep them occupied whilst lunch is ready. Friendly attentive staff and generous portions. If you have room for dessert this place makes the most delicious ones..also can box them up to take home.
M. B.
Visited here for evening meal with the hubby. Nice clean tables and social distancing all in place. Staff very helpful and friendly. We were greeted by Freya who seated us and cleared the table as we wanted somewhere cool to sit away from the sun. Everything explained to us clearly on ordering...at the bar or on the app. Food was lovely despite mix up with our order but Jacob was very helpful and offered to sort it. Wasnt a problem as we managed to divide it ourselves. Heard another member of staff who we discovered was louie explaining to a family all about how to go on as they hadn't been before and didnt know how it all works. Very professional staff who work hard to make sure your stay is a safe and comfortable environment during this difficult time with social distancing measures in place. Keep up the good work as I'm sure this month so far has been a very busy time with the recent government scheme of eat out to help out. Well done to you all. 👍👍👍
s. p.
Lovly place great staff thank you adelle and mazie for a great service
R. J.
Visited for a Sunday lunch with the family, hadn't booked. There were very accommodating, after a few minutes waiting, we were seated at a table. The carvery was more than ample, more than enough for the biggest or smallest of appetites. Definitely recommend a visit, staff are very helpful.
m. h.
Delicious food as always, not much of a wait as I booked in advance.
Service was fast and efficient, well done to all the staff
l. s.
Fantastic food, excellent menu with plenty of choice. Will definately go there for a meal again.
L. D.
Booked a table for 5 of us as one person was disabled,
only thing we didn't get asked was do we know how the system works !
(we didn't get any drinks at the time we paid for our carvery tickets.)
So we paid and collected our food and at that stage it started to get packed with people queuing at the counter and bar!.
so we had to go without a drink ! Somebody suggested getting the attention of a waitress service but there wasn't any one near to our table!
we was on the table on the left as you come in. Maybe they didn't see us because of the queue!.
I suggest when you are allocated a table for the carvery get your drinks from the bar then go and get your meal.
Apart from that it was Delicious.
C. D.
Great food and great value had to queue for a bit but worth it 👌
E. K.
Good value breakfast for the price. Help yourself to as much tea, coffee, toast & jams as you like. Great helpful staff. Nice clean bar area. However, Would pay more for better quality food. Fresh mushrooms instead of tinned would be better😊
G. W.
Food okay if unexceptional. Popular.
Unreasonably loud by kids area which tends toward an unattended day care vibe. A la carte not really worth the wait.
A lovely display of what appears to be plastic ice creams.
Staff are welcoming.
buffet line direction seemed to be a source of consternation during my last visit.
P. W.
Carvery is second to none. Staff are very helpful. The slices of cake are huge. Highly recommended.
J. K.
Visited Holly tree Farm last Saturday morning .the first time in a couple of years .The staff were so helpful .and so organized..The girl who served us was so helpful .sorry didn't get her name .also a young man called owen was so helpful too .will definitely be making this our place for breakfast .well done to all the staff .
A. S.
Reserved a table for 5 adults 1 child 1 baby. We're originally seated in the kids area but we asked to move out of a booth onto a table with individual chairs due to one of the adults having mobility issues and despite it being fully booked up they accommodated and moved us. Food took 45 minutes to come once ordered but generous portion sizes for the prices and nice food. Kids play area is in serious need of updating.
D. A.
Fantastic carvery. Highly recommend.
A. J.
Having read the reviews one could be put off visiting this establishment but please don’t be. My wife and I visited today. On entry it was obviously very busy but we were seated in a lovely window spot immediately. The wait to order was very short and the carvery was most enjoyable. We chatted with Lucy, one of the managers, about their opening in December. A difficult time to open a new establishment. All staff we encountered were very polite and helpful. We discussed allergies as I am coeliac and Lucy explained their future hopes and intentions in this area. She also showed us their allergy sheets which are available. So if you do visit please look for positives as well as negatives. It’s a new pub and it takes time to get everything right.
s. e.
Value for money. Clean well staffed, good social distancing all staff wearing masks. Food lovely and hot. They also do take out and you can away what you are unable to eat if you wish. Defo eat there again thank you.

Large, spacious restaurant with kids area, carvery deck, dessert display and plenty of seating in and out. Good for breakfast, carvery, coffee and cake as well as great diverse menu. Reasonable prices and you get a plate full. Really pleased with choice if service is still a little slow and sloppy. More cleaning of tables would be useful.

Lovely food really friendly staff food is amazing keep up the good work guys Amazing dessert as well 😋 can't wait to come again
J. P.
Not much choice for non meat eaters.
M.
Great food and great prices. Love the cakes
J. D.
Been here a few times now, was very busy and meal was good. Will return again no doubt.

We went for a carvery yesterday 22 May very impressed with the carvery and the puddings and sweets are to die for (enormous portion). I shared with my sister. Would definite go again and have been recommending it to my friends. We will go for breakfast, sounds incredible value for the money.
M. S.
Had the standard carvery, but we had to wait 10 minutes ,because the gravy wasn't to standard. The first pot they brought out was very watery. They were very good at changing it . But I feel we shouldn't have to ask
R. B.
Definitely not up to us usual high standard, the breakfast was cold and the black pudding was hard enough to tile the bathrooms with.

First time we have visited here and We had a lovely meal here today (family of 4)
Everything was very well organised, ordered food at the table through an app on your phone, was a bit difficult with signal but managed in the end, you can also order at the bar if you have problems. Food was lovely, plenty of selection. Friendly staff!! Thank you again holly tree, see you soon 😚😚
H. W.
Staff couldnt be more helpful and cheery. The food was the best we have had from here today.. looking forward to our next visit. Only downside was having to wait outside 20mins after the time we had booked our table for. 🤷♀️

Food and customer service was outstanding
I work for severn trent and during the hottest day of the year , the friendly staff here offered to feed us all to a carvery whilst we was maintaining water supplies across Nottingham with the water tankers
The food was absolutely beautiful thank you very much from myself and all the people here onsite!

I eat at Holly Tree Farm fairly regularly and I can tell you that this place is a mix bag of positives and negatives so I feel the easiest way to convey my opinion is to list them.
POSITIVES:
- The carvery is always divine and everything is usually cooked to a very high standard, it's not often things run out either as there is always another pot waiting.
- The Cakeaway counter is something to behold. The cakes are massive and they are appealing just to look at. The taste of the cakes themselves is good, not outstanding but very enjoyable non the less.
- Toilets are well maintained.
- Parking is never an issue.
- There are facilities for kids to play
NEGATIVES:
- Constantly understaffed. Meaning that I avoid going on Sundays actively because the waiting around is horrendous.
- The breakfast buffet is a disaster. Runs out of food very regularly and menu for for bottomless coffee is very misleading.
- I've been given dirty glasses on more than one occasion.
- There's been times where new staff members have been left unsupervised and have given false information about something on the menu. managers didn't do anything to remedy the mistake for the customer.
I do enjoy visiting Holly Tree Farm, it's my "go to" carvery with the family or with friends. Unfortunately though there are plenty of areas where I'd love to see improvements.
I'd most certainly recommend visiting on a Saturday for a carvery and a pint!

Good bar menu and carvery. Great selection of drinks but what you really go for is the cake, pudding and ice cream selection yum yum
J. H.
It was lovely, the food was great and the experience very good.

My third visit, of two previously not great to be honest. It's really local and listening to friends who had better experience I thought I'd give it a last try. Massively improved, much cleaner and the new chap who was carving was great, polite attentive and very unlike the previous 2 didn't serve a slice of fat for meat portion. I think it was his first day, and certainly redeemed our first experiences. The table staff we're pleasant and attentive too, another improvement. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful. Cleared plates all round and happy customers thank you.

We went on mother's day for a family meal booked ahead and we're promptly seated we asked to move closer to the children's area as we had 2 children. They quickly accommodated our family of 9 provided a excellent carvery and pudding even take away trays on request as puddings are huge portions we will be returning again

Really lovely place and surroundings gorgeous. Carvery was nice but not great. Cheese mash you could not taste any cheese and it could have been creamier. The cauliflower cheese did not have any cheese either. But overall good value for money and nice dinner.
J. B.
Sunday lunch not for the first time! Excellent as always. And despite being very busy - the wait was not long. Food was great and staff lovely too. We had carvery but there is an alternative pub menu too.
M. D.
We mostly go here for breakfast and it is good quality food. There is a choice between a menu of breakfast items and a buffet breakfast! The buffet breakfast allows you to choose what you want out of the cooked breakfast items. When we have been for lunch or dinner we have had the carvery and it is good. The only draw back I have on the carvery is the can be quite limiting on meat compared to other carveries you have been to!
H. t.
Really nice food and friendly staff!
P. G.
Can't fault the service and food, I would like thank Jack is help and service.
K. W.
Great service and best carvery I’ve ever had. Will always come here. Well done.
R. A.
Average
Long wait at carvery, not due to numbers.messy servery area.
A. O.
Really nice friendly service, huge portions and all the food fresh. Much better than my local of the chain "birchwood".
K. J.
The area around the food was clean and empty pots were replaced quickly. The staff is very courteous and helpful. I had the standard size carvary with the roast beef. Everything tasted great.
T. B.
Arrived at 4pm to be told of a 40 minute wait,30 minutes and we were seated and choosing our food. Wide variety of dinners, light bites and 4 sizes of carvery. Not too long a wait for food to arrive. Burger, scampi and 2 carveries were most enjoyable. Plenty to choose from for afters too. I would definitely eat here again. Full bellies and happy bunnies 😊
H. R.
Carvery was nice, No vegan option which is a bit disappointing. The restaurant was very dirty. Tables left dirty for long periods and the floor was disgusting, when I was a waitress we were expected to clean under the table as well as the top of it. A sweeper sat at the side of the room and no one touched it the whole time we were there. Only tried this restaurant as Toby carvery was closed, won't be rushing back.
J. L.
We have been quite a few times and always been made to feel very welcome, food is very good and the staff are extremely friendly, today however was surprised... went to the bar to order our drinks and had to.ask for a Clean glass only to be asked in a very stern voice "why what's wrong with it" well I think having to ask for a Clean glass is self explanatory myself!! Didn't get a smile or an apology . Only a minor thing but not what I expected.
B. S.
Lovely carvery and we were able shown a table within minutes. Didn't have to book either.
K. P.
Great time had by all for breakfast, Sabrina the table server was brilliant and made sure we were looked after and she even had banter with us.
C. W.
Omg the Carvery is to die for and that's coming from someone who never eats Carvery. Must Visit and try for yourself. Nice and quiet and AMAZING STAFF! One of the managers Brandon is a Godsend!! Top marks to that man x
c. j.
The place was lovely great food great company
g. c.
Pretty average carvery to be fair can be very busy at times
Return visit today food was very good this time
P. B.
Great food only disappointment was lack of choice for the Cake to take away.
E. D.
The food was really nice with plenty of choice but the queue for the food and bar was ridiculous. I queued for 40 minutes to get my dinner and 30 minutes at the bar for a drink. If they could sort this then going there for dinner would be perfect. The kids enjoyed the play area - would come again when less busy I think.
M.
Great carvery and huge choice of cakes
D. Z.
The dinner was going well until in the children's area a inflatable wood stump knocked my daughters drink over on our table and salt went into our wife's meal but the assistant manager on bar and the assistant manager Andy were both great and helped out alot. We go here all the time and would recommend this restaurant to everyone just don't sit next to the children's area.
Thank you to the guys at Holly Tree Farm for good food and service
T. E.
Nice relatively new family designed, extensive menu as well as the carvery and a little more choice for vegetarians. If you like puddings and deserts these are of mega proportions so big you can ask for a box to take home what you can't eat. Would like to revisit to take a look at what is provided for the younger members of a family
S. W.
Really like this place food really nice
M. B.
I like going to this place for the buffet breakfast. Very reasonably priced £3.99 for standard breakfast inc unlimited tea, coffee and toast. Only real down side is not enough staff and could mean a long wait to get served. They do a carvery lunch as well. But again lack of staff can be a deal breaker.
P. H.
Carvery was ok, the meats were nice, although I think they leave the veg out uncovered for too long, they were mostly soggy and discoloured. My opinion is the heated lights above the veg is way too hot. Also the tongues were too hot to use...the food on display needs to be attended to more regularly.
S. R.
Perfect eating place. I meet my granddaughters and their children there for breakfast, on occasions. It is a perfect place, as there is a safe play area for the little ones to play. The food is we'll cooked and hot. Price is excellent. Buffet style. The staff are very friendly all greet you with a smile.
C. G.
Well I don't normally write reviews but tonight 16/10/2019 me and the wife went for the first time .it was the wife's birthday the place was very clean and org anised. The food was very tasteful. The staff was brilliant .they could not have done more for you.will definitely be going back regularly from now on.
M. V.
The only problem was children older than 5 in the play area.
K. S.
Plenty on the carvery. We'll worth the money.
However.. The carrots were hard.
As was the coliflower so had to leave them and the roast potatoes were tooo salty.
The stuffing was watery. Slipped all over my plate.
May have been a bad cook that day or just didn't care.
I wander if anyone tastes the food before it's served??
I do like to be able to get a knife through my vegetables.
P. P.
Went to the holly tree farm today for a early birthday treat from my children the pub is very clean diners were spaced out very well inline with covid restrictions .the staff are very polite an worked very well together to ensure customers were well looked after.charlene and Sammie our waitress were very polite helpful an very cheerful thank you will definitely be back.tje food was amazing an very well worth the cost
a. j. l.
Pretty standard place. Went for a carvery, it was fairly quiet as it was in the week. Yorkshire pudding was quite tough which took the glaze of a decent meal. Also put lime and ice in my drink without even asking, I find that annoying in places like this.
Neither excellent or really bad.
A. B.
Good carvery a little messy but good
J. W.
Very nice place didn't have to wait long to be served the staff was lovely and the meals was lovely and the cakes was to dye for
C. D.
The food is good.yoy can usually get seated. But the wait at the bar is too long. I waited at one place and was asked to move down to be served, I did and the girl served someone else before me, i moved further back and the same thing happened. I ended up so fed up i went home . They need to train staff to recognise who's next to be served or something that works . Also massive ques for the carvery.
B. R.
Best carvery in the area!! We loving coming here for at home style meal away from home. The staff is always lovely. I highly recommend the big cheesy nachos as a starter.
M.
Lovely warm environment. Amazing helpful staff. And the food is delicious, particularly the carvery. Also, the desserts come in massive portions and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely going back!
d. m.
Food was realy bland, won't be going again
A. L.
Breakfast service is absolutely fantastic 😊
Jam, Charlene, Amy and Darcy always give us a quality service.
And Tom is the best server.
Thank you so much feels like my second home
P. “. L.
Newly opened summer 2018. Offers a carvery and full menu. Unbelievable sized desert portions which you cannot eat in one sitting, but they box up to take home. Good value but not sure such enormous portions of everything are good for everyone!
T. F.
Good food but you will have a long wait if you order via the app
l. r.
Third time of visiting here and the food is really good it gets very busy on a Sundays but still worth it. Update from more recent visit!! staff very good as normal but disappointed about the food the meat was paper thin that you couldn't tell what flavour it was don't know what has happened to the pub !!?? The food used to be lovely
c.
Great experience here! They proved a gluten-free gravy option when I asked. The staff were super friendly, despite how busy they were. Would definitely eat there again!
L. M.
Lovely food and staff, my 13 year old son left a christmas card on the table with £50 inside , we rang them and they said "yes we've got it " the waitress had handed it in! So very honest staff too ! Thanks again xxx
S. L.
Was there today with 9 members of family. staff was very friendly and helpful all though it was very busy it didn't take them long to find us a table. we all sat down together and enjoyed a great meal from the carvery or off the menu
P. B.
We shared a slice of cake and wow it was a slice and a half. Food looked lovely and staff were friendly and funny. We may be back tomorrow before we go home as all looked fantastic, even if we just pick up cake
H. J.
Really good value cavery, not tried any of the set menu but the cavery is pretty decent, the day I went the turkey was lovely and moist! Get the salted caramel ice cream...you won't be disappointed!
S. M.
Very busy ,you have to book your table carvery very nice .only downside for me was that there was only two ales on offer .
K. G.
I'd give this place 5 stars, but the carvery suffers from it's own popularity and the availability of the different vegetables lessens as the day goes on.
A Friday night carvery has so much choice you're spoilt.
Sunday, late afternoon... not so much.
The children's area is a nice touch and the staff are really friendly. Cake a away is a must. Caramel eclair anyone?
A. S.
Lovely place for family dinner or lunch with your friends. Would not say this is a casual pub that you can just drink and chill in mainly meal based. Great children's area. That offer a small child's area and games consoles for the bigger children
L.
Nice place for cheap eats and fairly good quality.
We visited for a carvery on a sunday, good selection of meats and accompaniments, all tasted ok.
Desserts were HUGE! Too big, but we shared one, and nearly managed to finish it.
N. R.
Excellent service as always. Very well organised we felt very safe enjoying our carvery. Social distancing enforced, hand sanitizer encouraged and the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend 😃
M. M.
It was ok but got some staff wat can't b bothered food good but some staff let the rest of the team down ashame really
v. g.
Lovely carvery staff really friendly
M. G.
The staff were amazing. We went for breakfast today 9/6/21 great service defo going again. :)
J. B.
Very warm welcome from Kym as we walked in. Carvery was beautiful & also very hot. Customer service skills were fabulous from every member of staff we spoke to, two names we got were Hollie & Jam. Will definitely revisit.
X.
Good sized place and adequate parking.
Staff were organised and helpful.
The carvery is always nice and you can't beat the cake selection. Not tried the the normal menu
L. S.
What a great place for to eat. Been a through time new Great choice of foods at a great price. Lovely service and even though it was packed it didn't take long to get a table or for our food to arrive. Will be coming back soon.. we was look after by stacey and she made very welcome
H. B.
Went for a Sunday carvery. Veggies were soggy, roasties were weird as was the mash and the gammon didn't taste like gammon haha. It's also given me a dodgy tummy.
My little girl loved the play area though and staff were lovely, despite it being really busy. Probably wouldn't go back for food but maybe a quiet drink.
C. R.
This place is excellent! Carvery is beautiful, they do a breakfast buffet until 11am, there is a soft play area for the kids, a cakeaway, the staff are very polite, plenty of seating, the price is such good value, NHS discount, plenty of room for parking and games consoles. They have 3 games consoles for kids to play on.
Since our 'local' has been taken over we are always here, we cannot rate it highly enough!
j. S.
I have only ever had the carvery from here so I can only speak for that, which is amazing. The service is always quick and polite and the food is very nice. The only criticism and what stops me putting 5* is that it's sister pub in Willington the cherry tree is better
