I. M.Sat in the sofas by the window and enjoyed a couple of nice ales and some tasty cake. The staff are friendly and the service was good.
S. K.Met a friend for lunch at Hops café today. Lovely relaxed and natural atmosphere. Non of the pretentious vibe that you sometimes get at certain cafés.
We both had jacket potato which was, thankfully, a proper baked in the oven potato and not cooked in a microwave. The fillings were a generous portions.
V. V.A very unique place, difficult to describe without going there yourself. Great if you want something different, or just a place to drink and chat with friends. I wouldn't rate the food as anything special, but it's fine if you just need a bite to eat. The indoor seating area also shows train departures up on two screens.

D. B.Directly opposite the station. Quirky decor, very friendly staff and exceptionally reasonably priced. Went in the morning whilst waiting for train. Had the sausage cob and a 'phat white'. The sausage cob was no frills (sausage in a lightly buttered and toasted roll) but very tasty and pleasingly straightforward. Coffee was also good (and came with a bourbon biccie. Result.) If you're waiting for a train, don't go to Starbucks or Costa, come here instead and get a cob in your gob.
