S. S.We popped in here for a quick lunch whilst shopping in the city centre. 3 adults, one 12 year old. There was only one till working so just ordering was taking ages as it was reasonably busy. We then had to wait for 55 minutes for our food to arrive. We all had burgers, they were OK but nothing special. We were very hungry by this time and quite honestly, would have eaten anything!! We were offered free drinks in compensation for the wait but we didn't want to spend any more time in there. Overall it took more than 2 hours for a "quick lunch ". We also noted that the couple on the next table received their food about 15 minutes apart from each other. We will not bother going back.
C. L.Popped in Sunday for football and lunch. Shauna on the bar was amazing and very accommodating with vegetarian requirements and great suggestions. Had the mac and cheese and was able to get the soya kebab side instead of the meat options. My partner got mac and cheese as well with the bacon topping. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family to come in. Music was great and not too loud. Trojanne was brilliant with our service at the table.

P. T.Popped in here for a "treat yourself" bite after work yesterday & the place was rammed - great atmosphere! After I fought my way to the bar, I was served by a charismatic chap in a waistcoat who apologised profusely for the wait, even though that was hardly his fault! It's obviously a well-loved place to be so busy. I was looked after at the table by Tony & Lauren, who were amazing! I had a brilliant time & will definitely be back 🥰

Fantastic vibes! Really enjoyed my visit. Staff were extremely friendly, drinks were reasonably priced and it was a thoroughly great night. A member of staff named Wayne took extra time to assist me with a query I had regarding the venue and the security team were really friendly. They thanked us on exit for attending which is a rarity these days.
I definitely plan to return weekly. The music and light display was quality and overall I had such a good night. 10 out of 10 for O'Neills Nottingham!

Also why would you boast tripped cooked chips if they're not fresh.... They are frozen chips... Nothing special..... The 3 stars are because the staff were lovely... My only annoyance with Nottingham was the £30 fine for being inadvertently in a bus lane, not clearly signed & Road closures everywhere. A typical tourist trap money spinner, Nottingham Council should be totally ashamed.

J. S.Visited Yesterday evening was a great experience had by all. We were recommended the 2-4-1 pizza by one of the staff members. The pizzas were one of the bests I’ve ever had, especially the Chick Norris. Lack of cocktails that they had ingredients for which was a shame but staff were helpful in picking out their favourite one for us will be sure to visit again when visiting Nottingham again.

Rich gravy was very weak and insipid, potato was cold and sausages very tough and hard to chew.

The Guinness was excellent as usual.
I will take this as a one off and maybe because of covis restrictions the staff might be new.
Hopefully the usual high quality and excellence in food will quickly return.

Haven't had such a pleasant experience in a long time and it was refreshing to see someone who loves their job so much. To even go as far as to get her a extra bit of the meal she was enjoying. It made her day. Today came in and they are only serving Tribute. So today have made my day. M. C.Took advantage of the Unidays 40% off mains deal, safe to say we weren't disappointed. I had the pulled pork brisket which was very tasty, and my girlfriend had the sausage and mash. For dessert we both had the sticky toffee pudding, which was very hot when served but very tasty nonetheless. Hopefully shall be returning soon, very good value for money and a nice venue :)

L. T.A really nice atmosphered pub with nice decor, drinks are average priced compared to other bars in Nottingham city centre. The staff on the bar were really friendly too.
A thing that did let the place down was there were a lot of uncleared tables when we went in so it made it so we couldn’t sit in the comfier seats in the booths.
I’m sure they’re normally better in this aspect, but I’m making sure the review is an honest first impression of the place.

The menu is good and offers some traditional Irish dishes, however the waiting time for our food was disappointing !!!

B.I'll put it to teething problems, but I think I'll need a few more visits before I review either way, because my first visit was for food and the biggest part of the menu is burgers, and they didn't have any burgers. My next visit the music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think, it was that dark I think someone forgot to flip a set of switches and the dj was pumping out that much smoke I wanted to go outside with the smoker's to have a chance of breathing.

However it wasn't busy so this is to be expected. The only major problem i had was with the male toilets which had been destroyed and smelt bad.

J. S.Popped in for some lunch and was very happy with the service as well as promptness of the staff. I ordered from Zoe who was very helpful as I was struggling with my student app, she told me it was possible that the app reset itself. She took my order and told me how long it was going to be roughly.
Whilst sat waiting I had a member of staff come over and ask if I was okay and I needed anything. I thought this was quite sweet. I asked her for a Latte, which she brought over to where I was sat, I think her name was Eden.
After around 15 /20 mins I was wondering where my food was an asked Jamie who I assume is the manager how long my food would be, she chased it up for me and withing 5 mins I had my food along side condimets.
I also notice her helping another customer with directions which I though was really kind of her.
Once I finished my food my plate was taken away by Amy, who asked if the food was okay and if I needed anything else. I declined and then sat around for a while and noticed that the staff didnt rush me to leave as I find other places had.
I felt happy and comfortable and will be visiting again !!

J. C.Food was great service was fab just a shame the music was too loud to hear yourself think, we thought it would be quieter than that for early Saturday afternoon. Sadly had to leave and find a quieter pub to drink in, as great as the food was we probably wouldn't return as it's far too loud.
I. O.Came last weekend for the football, great day out in Notts with the Forest. it was buzzing at O'Neill's absolutely rammed. Great atmosphere live sport on all the screens. Staff were ace and a great range of the golden stuff.

R. R.Been in for lunch today with my parents and we all said the food and whole place 100x better than it was. The steak was cooked perfect, the childrens meal was great and the smoothered chicken was brilliant. Definitely be back.

N. S.The Irish Wetherspoons. O'Niels is very similar to student popular Wetherspoons, so if you like chain pubs then it is a place for you. Portions are good sizes and the prices for drinks and food are fair. They also have TV's (for sports) and play music in the evenings.
