B. P.St Patrick's day. Wonderful Irish music. Great atmosphere. Clean, welcoming venue. We had a fantastic time. Not been there for a couple of years. New owners very friendly. Intend to return soon
Y. B.Had a really good Friday night. Drinks reasonably priced, plenty serving staff on. DJ was good with mixture of Mowtown and SKA music. Everyone was jigging even those stood at the bar, a good mix of people made it a great night out.
f.Fine enough place for a pint. Large seating areas and small patio.

Older clientele. Definitely not for young people and students.
C. M.I had a pleasant time alone there although other than that it was loud. Its no bad thing I guess. Maybe it's not a venue suited for me. Often when I pass this pub there are groups of heavies and menacing looking folk outside, and more often than not, police vans and police tape cordoning the area. I reckon if this is sorted out it would be a lovely pub and that's what people are after these days. Like I say, it's an OK bar but has moments that look bad for business.

Always seems to be fairly busy, and attracts a wide range of ages when it comes to visitors. At weekends the music is more 60's, 70's and 80's and generates a really good atmosphere.

O. M.Love the Old D and P! It's a great pub right in the middle of town, suits day drinking or a quick stop for a drink on a night out. It's always busy in here with a great atmosphere, the staff are friendly and the owner's great to talk to.
Recent refurbished has made it look much better and it now has a clean modern look inside.
Just a shame you can't bring dogs in!!

S. R.Cracking wee pub. Nicely laid out and very well prices. Bar staff are absolutely lovely folk who gave this traveller some good banter. It's got a good mix of folk going in for a drink. The music is suited to all and there was a quiz during my visit. I recommend this for a quick few if you're down on business and certainly you should make this a stop if you're down for social or holiday reasons. I didn't give 5 stars as there is some less than stand up folk do go in but there was never a whisper of trouble.

R. Y.Always loved this pub but it's a bit rowdy sometimes. Do wish that people would use the dance floor to dance not everywhere else. Ladies loo is still a nightmare however.
