Food was a decent standard and some good deals on their menu also. Nice place if you want some pub grub. If there's a football match on Sky Sports then unfortunately football fans will be in here boozing, other than that it's a nice pub.

I've been other places where changing items on a breakfast has been a hassle. On the mornings I've visited here, the staff have always been helpful and warm. 2 large breakfasts and a pint each for around £20. Usually quite quiet in a morning with a relaxed feel. Try it.

After ordering my dinner there is a 45 minute wait. The advertising price is only a standered meal so I paid a bit more for the larger meal. Very nice meal but did not get a lot of Beef on plate.Got extra gravy boat free. For the price I paid good value for money.

Really upset to have received a parking charge letter for £100 after parking at this pub and having food here. It didn't even occur to me to look for signs to park in a pub car park! If that's the policy then staff really need to ask every customer they serve if they have any parking tickets to validate as I had no idea. Very annoyed. Update - emailed the pub staff who have now cancelled this parking charge. It took a few days to get the confirmation that it was all cancelled through. I enjoyed the food here. I had a green burger that was interesting and different and the other people I was with both had the chicken wraps which they said we're pretty good. Just a shame about the parking situation. I've upped the review to a 3 stars as I liked the food but still feel quite upset about the situation in general.

Food wasn't to its best standards, had to have steak sizzler replaced due to it being over cooked, second steak also over done, shame really because its my favourite dish on the menu. Polly the amazing floor runner gets a 5* from us, she was running around here there and everywhere to help all customers, she's a true credit to this pub and needs full recognition for it 😁

Generally a very friendly pub with a wide choice of food. Staff here are very friendly and I’ve been coming here for a few years now. It’s easy to book a table too if you are having a larger gathering. Very accommodating and clean, would recommend!

Wonderful, the steak and ale pie was wonderful, and the large plate of gammon ( 3x 5 Oz) was superb. The staff and service was perfect and polite, if only other Greene King pubs were like this. We enjoyed it so much that we forgot to take photos. Thank you.

i come to this pub very regular and always love the food and service here, however, I’m extremely upset to have realised only a few days ago that if you don’t register your car within 10 minutes you are automatically issued a parking charge letter for £100. Nowhere on the car park signs does it mention a timeframe. If that's the policy then staff really need to ask every customer they serve if they have registered their car. Due to this I now have 2 car parking tickets and potentially another on the way! Extremely annoyed as I’ve spent a lot of time and money in this pub and have registered my car every single time but clearly not within the time limit. Having to register your car in a pub car park is a new one on me but the fact I did this and have still been penalised is unbelievable.

Lovely meal, sat outside on brand new benches. It's a shame that they charge for parking even in the disabled spaces, but we found free parking just over the road. The two for £9.99 menu is really good value. Puddings are also lovely.

I have been four times in the last few months and each time has made me feel on edge with how rowdy the clientelle are. The food was just bog standard what you would expect, the staff are ok but not very attentive to who has been waiting to be served often serve other people before you if you are not vocal you are next. I personally would recommend other places for beer quality, food and atmosphere in sherwood and surrounding areas.

I went here for the first time tonight. Very very good Pub to go to for meal. The food was absolutley delicious and the Staff on duty were very friendly and welcoming. The food was served quickly too so we were not kept waiting and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the Mini Mixed Grill which was superb.

Waitress didn't know what the Christmas menu was advertising and the bar man suggested I couldn't have a black Americano coffee (even tho that is a black coffee) went for a big plate Sunday lunch and couldn't cut the Yorkshire pudding. I can't rate this place enough. I always find people are quick to moan about bad service but never praise good service. Top quality food, good portions. Amazing staff, nothing is too much for them. I needed some water urgently (wife chocking) and the guy behind the bar kept talking to a friend at the bar and kept saying to me 2 minutes. It would have taken That to get me a glass of water! My family and I decided to stop here for something to eat on Thursday 19th August 2021. it had been a very long day for us all after visiting west midlands safari park for our sons 6th birthday treat. The service was brilliant the very friendly staff was exceptional after my one year old decided to throw his juice and knock over my pint of Amstel which by way was clearly kept to a very high standard I politely approached the bar asked for some blue roll to clear up the mess and a fresh pint to replace the one my boy had decided to spill all over the table. The lady served me promptly and professionally. We all ordered our food and not a single complaint was had by any of us (2 adults 4 children). Anyway the food drinks and service were brilliant and we will definitely be visiting again and some places are not as welcoming for such a large family especially at 8pm. Thank you

First time (last week) was amazing. Outstanding service and excellent food in very generous portions. Today we returned. Again, excellent service from really nice staff. I had to return the steak as it was overcooked. This was no issue and a replacement was offered. If you like pub grub in portions you'd expect in Texas, then this is the place for you.

I visited Sherwood Manor for the 1st time since the pubs reopened. I received a very warm welcome from all the staff. No problems getting served at all. I also received help setting up the Greene King order app on my phone. I got a table pretty much straight away when I walked in. I will be coming back again!

We went on a Saturday night and were a bit dubious due to Coronavirus . Upon entering we were met by Nikki who was meeting and greeting. She cheerfully showed us to a table and explained what they had put in place to keep us safe. So far so good. The meal came, it was hot, tasty and good quality, we were impressed. Throughout the evening I observed Nikki in her work, always happy and cheerful. I would like management to take note of this as staff as efficient and happy in their work deserve to be rewarded. Visited today for breakfast. Fantastic value. 2 big plate breakfasts, tea and coffee for only £7.89. Really tasty and filling food. Service was very quick and staff were all observing the COVID19 guidelines. Everything was very clean. Not crowed at all as few people were here. No brown sauce available but really great dinning experience.

Good food selection and promotions. Service was pretty good. The place has been given a lick of paint recently so doesn't look so tired anymore. Not a bad sized car park. We went on a Friday evening, it was quite loud and busy but service was pretty quick. Got mac n cheese on my fries instead of nacho cheese but I figure they must have misheard due to the noise so I didn't want to make a fuss. When I went to the bar, an older gentleman was very inebriated and harassing female patrons. The burgers were very "well done". Making it a double seems to only add a second patty, not any of the other toppings, but it was only about 1 quid more. The portions were decent, not too large and left room for dessert!

This was my first time visiting this venue and it was totally worth it. On a Sunday they had 2 for £12 on the big plate meals annnd it didn't disappoint! The food was served quickly and the bar staff took our orders with no problems. When the did come I choose the chicken New Yorker and the chicken was so juicy and not dry. The decor was bright and I loved the mosaic tiles thought out. Will definitely be going back!

I'm a regular at this pub and it has recently been done up and looks alot better. The food is very cheap but also great quality, I'm surprised they can even make it that cheap for the quantity they provide. The Pints are cheap too and the atmosphere is great when live sports are on. Pool table and darts board are available. Smoking area is large and has enough seating only downside is that there's no shelter if it rains. My favourite pub

Went here on the 27.7.19 for a friends 40th, they had a salsa night on, was good, will be back. I wasn't aware of the parking charges and recently had a parking charge notice of £100 but discounted to £60 if paid within 14 days. Obviously I wasn't impressed and panicked a little. However I've just been back today and spoke to a lady behind the bar, explained the situation, she took a photo of the charge notice and told me not to worry about it and she will get it sorted. What great customer service, thank you.

Very welcoming staff at the entrance, and nice to see the Covid 19 guidelines being adhered to at this pub by staff and staff instructing customers regaridng the one way system. Staff are wearing either face masks or shield around customers and if a customer is not adhering to social distancing they sort it out. Good to see a good pub following the guidelines and enforcing it.

Forgot about parking and the lady behind the bar advised if I got a ticket to let her know and put my car reg into the system. So helpful and xmas decorations were lovely. If you want a cheap, family friendly pub with fast service and this is the place to go but the only downside to this pub is screaming kids with the odd parent who seems to let them run around meaninglessly. The food is average for a chain pub I have certainly eaten worst at other places, though the menu has had a bit of a revamp so the food seems to improved a little in recent few months.

Food was lovely and served quick, but when trying to order at first they informed us that they had no roast dinners, which was fine except for they forgot to take the menus off of the tables to indicate they weren't serving them. Once we managed to order food, we tried to order a Christmas themed cocktail to which we were told they didn't serve. Once we informed them it was on the menu, they just said 'we must not have it then'. We tried to then order slushie cocktails, which they replied they didn't have a slushie machine anymore, even though they were new as it was on their festive menu, so they couldn't do any of that type of drinks. It took us 3 tries before we ordered food and drink, there should be more signs indicating what can and cannot be ordered.

Sadly I won't be returning the recent carparking charge has made this a difficult place to attend. The carpark now seems full of shoppers who aren't in the pub. Only 2 disabled spaces near the payment machine and pub entrance the rest of the upper spaces were full, this meant I had to walk to the bottom of the carpark which was a diffiult distance for me and then return to put a ticket in my car. I have not had this issue before the carparking charge was introduced. I assume the idea was to reduce the number of shoppers parking but, it seems to have had the opposite effect as many seem happy to pay £1 to park and shop.. Parking Payment at your table or no parking charge and a reminder that parking is for patrons only would be a much better option as sadly this setup led to me struggling for the rest of the day. On the plus side the food is pleasant, the staff are absolutely lovely and very hard working, whatever they are being paid it's not enough as they never stop running around.

This is a cheap cheerful pub. The meals are large a very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is that of your standard modern pub/restaurant. A good place to feed the family.

I would just like to update this review Tom from Sherwood Manor has been in touch and has managed to get my parking fine reimbursed Thank you for going the extra mile much appreciated. We came three weeks ago not having been for a while it was dark wet and miserable night .We had to park at the far end of the carpark We had a really good night food was good prices reasonable,we even said we would definitely come back as it had improved so much.Then Friday I recieved a £100 parking fine reduced to £60 if I paid it sooner rather than later.I can honestly say we did not see the signs otherwise we would have happily paid.Sorry we wont be back again the friend I came with lives locally and she has checked the signage in daylight and she says easy to see some in daylight but not all of them and she can find nothing inside so as I say we wont be back any time soon.

Disabled parking and access is possible rather than good, likewise the disabled toilet is just adequate. Other than that the food is fine and reasonable value and the place has a decent atmosphere.
