S. R.Open mic night on a Tuesday brought me here. Nicely laid out for music. Great beer and really nice staff and clientele. I keep going back. The guy running it does it very well, very talented and helpful to the new people turning up for open mic.

D. Q.Stopped off here for a few steady pints ahead of Stoke vs Forest. We'd looked it up online beforehand and were glad we did! Great selection of beers and knowledgeable staff too. Even though it's a city centre pub it didn't get full of your standard football types (probably because it doesn't serve Stella or Carling 😂) and so it wasn't a mad crush to get served and the atmosphere was nice and chilled, aided and abetted by the soundtrack of 90s west coast hip-hop (a couple of Beavertowns and The Pharcyde? What's not to like!). Only slight criticism was that it says it opens at 12 noon but we were waiting outside for a good 15 minutes before they opened the doors. The variety of excellent, friendly dogs that appear to live in the pub soon made up for that however 👍

S. B.Found this little gem on the way to Motorpoint Arena. Hockley has now become a real pull for evenings out and this pub is no exception. Warm, friendly, fantastic range of real ales, ciders and spirits. Prices in line with city centre so well worth a visit. Lovely ambience and quirkily decorated. Ours was just a swift pint but next time we will spend much longer in this lovely place.

T. T.Interesting place. I'm a bit of a beer geek. So the selection, whilst certainly better than you average boozer, was not ground breaking for somewhere calling itself a draft house. However the can bottle selection was good and i had a lovely northern monk. It was welcoming and the staff were friendly. I'll be back.
O. M.One of the best places to go for a relaxed drink with friends. Amazing little bar with a huge choice of beers. Really friendly vibe with friendly staff and great music, they have some board games you can use with loads of seating. It's a cosy feeling inside with some little corners you can grab to stay in all day when you're in the mood for a Sunday session!

Friendly, helpful staff who are keen to make recommendations which helps as there's so much choice. Always worth stopping off here! Also suggest checking for drinks offers at "off-peak" times as it makes a good value offering even better!

Well, look at the considerable competition in Nottingham in the same market. I don't know what is missing, but just go round the rest and you will see what I mean, I think.

The girl behind the bar didn't know what one was but took the order anyway. Someone else made the drinks but what I got appeared to be a cappuccino. Not worth making a fuss over but staff training needs to be improved! The bar was ok, can get better craft beer elsewhere in Nottingham. My husband enjoyed the locally made cider.

E.Six barrells is a great little pub in which opened in November '16 in Hockley. It positions itself as a craft ale specialist and has a great selection including my favourite Elsie Mo (one of a rotating Castle Rock guest ales). I visited the pub with my wife and scored it on the following areas:
