First time going here, I found the ambience very calm, cosy and welcoming. The food was also piping hot, super fresh and absolutely delicious, although there was a bit of a wait (we didn't really mind as the food seemed to have arrived straight off the stove!). The staff were very friendly too. My only criticism, albeit a personal one, is that I would have liked more salad in the burger to cut through the meatiness. Will definitely be going back :)

We came here for the 1st time on Mother's Day, never really thought much of it from the outside, but WOW we were impressed. From the offset the staff were warm and extremely accommodating, nothing was too much. The whole place is spacious and exceptionally clean with personal touches like candles on the tables. The food was brought out in great time and all was piping hot and cooked to perfection, there was literally not one thing to find wrong. The mixed grills and burgers were actually full of meat rather than piles of chips to full the plates, and all coked amazingly. We also got to take away the lotus cheesecakes as far too full to eat them there! 4 extremely happy people and so reasonably priced. Definitely a place we will happily return to. Thank you all so much for making mothers day so lovely for us

Went for a family meal last night, we ordered a range of dinners from the menu including children's. Steaks, gammon, surf & turfs, burgers too. All cooked to Perfection might I add, the staff were lovely, welcoming & helpful. Definitely 5*, thank you to all.

What a turnaround this pub has had so much focus on the customers and not just the regulars that think they own the pub. We heard it had been taken over so gave it a try and we will be back for sure. Food great service great. To have a local pub like this long may it continue

Very friendly welcoming, after we have been rejected to get served in Toby carvery....bwe have decided to visit this place as we never been. All rules seems to be in place, we been asked if we are from same household and if we have checked in in app, then we had to wait few seconds for our table wich was sanitized before we could sat down. It's seems to be a bussy place but we were happy to wait a bit for our drinks. Great value.

Disappointing, the food was cold and over cooked. Can you see the cauliflower, it's in the middle of the meat. That's the actual size and amount we got. Not on one plate but two out of three. That being said the staff and service was spot on.... Three stars for the staff

Very nice food but missed a few items that were advertised on the menu. Minor things but missed them all the same. Supposed to get 3 onion rings with a burger, we both got 2. My partners burger was supposed to have 2 onions on it but only got 1. She was also supposed to have Texas BBQ sauce on the burger but it has nothing on and was dry. It also took 5 minutes from getting in for anyone to come and see us. No menu on the table and when the waitress arrived to ask if we wanted drinks, we needed to ask for menus still. It's a shame about the missing items and poor service as the food was really nice.

Well I can't praise Sam and the staff enough. From start to finish our whole experience was amazing. The service was quick and with a warm, welcoming smile. The food was to die for, the best we've had locally for a while. And the pudding, well you'll have to come visit and see for yourself but I can assure you that you won't be disappointed.

Went here a day ago for our dinner. We were a party of 4 adults. We were so hungry. One of our party ordered the senior 2 course for a fiver and was very satisfied. We had steak and chicken and beef burnt ends. The four meals were all lovely and tasty and we all enjoyed everything so much. I would highly recommend this place. The staff were great and the food delicious. The decor let replace down a bit. We had flies in the window near us and cobwebs on the roof. But that said I will definitely go again to eat here.

I have now been here several times, once or twice just for a drink and the other times for food. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Good selection of beers and offers are available for both food and drinks. Thinking about making this a local stop more regularly.

We visited today for Sunday lunch after a walk around the lakes at Colwick Park. The place was fairly busy, with a very relaxed atmosphere. There was a reasonable wait for food (no more than 15-20 minutes). The food was enjoyable and the staff members courteous, professional and efficient. Well worth visiting

Dinner was good & hot my only opinion(not really a complaint ) was my desert. The picture showed green ice cream which it wasn't. I thought I was getting mint ice cream. The manager offered to add mint areo balls which I declined. The dessert stated it contained crushed areo balls, which it didn't, it just contained mint matchstick makers broken up, so I was a little disappointed I didn't get what was advertised, but at least the manager did bother to acknowledge my opinion.
