S. B.Finally this pub seems to have some stability. Great rooftop terrace for you to enjoy some drinks and food. Popular with students and locals alike. Hope it continues to thrive as it is has it's place on a mansfield road pub crawl.
C.amazing range of drinks, whilst the staff have suggestions available whenever you might need them, will definitely be returning to this venue for the bar staffs service... also love that they have live music here more often than not xxx

P. d. W.Cracking pub, but not Jason and The Argonauts themed, so no need to battle skeletons or have Poseidon stop your ship from being crushed. Frankly, that's not what you want on a Saturday night, is it? You want a nice beer and maybe some crisps.

a. s.Best pub EVER!! Loveliest owners and amazing vibe, especially upstairs (outside decking area which you don't really get in Nottingham). Such reasonable pricing for drinks and great food, couldn't recommend enough!!

The staff are friendly and they have lots of real Ales to choose from as well as some great Spirits and the food is delicious, you can choose Meat, Veggie or Vegan and Gluten Free. They have live music nights too, what more could you ask for in a good pub. *****
D. J.Came in for pizzas and beers on a Saturday night, I noticed a fun atmosphere and didn't have to wait long for our pizza to arrive (very tasty). They had a good selection of pizzas and vegan options which was a positive. The ales on offer where excellent and numerous. There was live music which was great! I always liked this pub but since its re-opening it seem to gone on to a whole new level. I'm returning for the Sunday roast soon!!!
S. P.The new owners are the Angel Brewery's team. They did a good job restoring and making the place more palatable to a young audience. There is a very cool terrace above for events and life music. Good selection of local beers. Recommended
M. D.Really nice pub! Really cheap, lots of room to move around, food seemed really nice all though I never had any, seemed like they had some veggie as well as vegan options which is always nice to see these days.
My major complaint has to be the bathroom hand dryer. It seems so specific but man, it's placed in the worst spot, it right by the urinals, I had to lean over someone trying to relieve themselves to dry my hands, which wasn't really a thing because it felt like an ant coughing on my hands. Please for the love of all that is holy fix that and this would be the perfect pub

C. U.Every time I go in The Golden Fleece it grows on me a bit more. They seem to be putting on a really broad range of gigs, arts events and all kinds of other things that make it really interesting. It seems like the kind of place you can go to with an idea and they'll let you try it out to see if it works. They have an awesome roof terrace. Decor is quite neutral so it's not always 100% clear who the place is for most people seem friendly although there's the odd oddball from time to time. They also have a really good hole which is worth checking out. You'll have to go there to see what I'm talking about.

Later edit: Tonight the quiz was cancelled. It's a shame and it's not the first time. Ironically, enough people were there for the quiz by 9.00 but the decision came around 8.30. 😟

Limited cask ales available but Adnams is common. OKish food, table football, weekly pub quiz run by former Left Lion editor All Needham, and rooftop terrace that's quite nice in summer.
