J.Best value for money pub food I’ve found in Nottingham, roast was delicious, and although we didn’t get as large of portions as when we came the other week it was still plenty. Children’s meals very cheap. Deserts are nice too. Friendly and attentive staff

Harry, Tim and all the staff go above and beyond to make us have a good evening, no matter what day it is.
K. F.Nice pub, bar staff weren't super pleasant or helpful though. £15 for two halves and two rum and cokes, which wasn't too bad. Nice decor and dog friendly. Didn't eat so can't comment on food but food did look nice so would like to try.
V. M.I ate here a few times whilst staying at the hotel opposite. The food is good quality pub fayre with plenty choice. The menu caters for vegetarians, vegans and coeliac. I used the Greene King app to order food and drink and it was a seamless experience. The staff were lovely and one night they had a band in who were tremendous. All in all a good place to go.

A. A.Ordered a Southern Fried Chicken Burger and fries which were good (for pub food).
My party of 4 did end up waiting for an inordinate amount of time (1 hour) to get our food. I assume this was due to an error in the ordering app or a human error; which is why I'm giving 4 stars(...I'd give 3.5 if i had the option)

G. P.The Grosvenor is an institution. It's location is everything. I've been drinking in there since 1986. Managers and interior decor come and go, bar staff change and the regulars change with the times but it's a big old fashioned pub in a prime location with a decent sized outdoor area that does reasonable food these days. What's not to like?

They was more than accommodating with a of my costume changes helping me to hide from the birthday girl and also giving me critiques on all of my costumes. A HUGE 5 STARS TO EVERYONE THAT WORKS TBERE AS THEYRE ALL AMAZING!!!!

Good selection of food, including Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan menus.
Very similar in some respects to a wetherspoons but cannot compete on price, despite being ownd by Greene King.
Food and a drink that would cost £20 in spoons costs £30 here for example.
Lots of weekly activities to join in with too, for example I went in on quiz night.
All in all a nice place to spend a couple of hours.

A bit on the dry side but not too bad. Beer was average price. Mens and ladies toilets upstairs. Disabled and baby changing downstairs. Outside good space for when it's warm and has a car park.

B. S.This is a great bar with good food and real ale as well as a great range of other beers, lagers and plenty of other drinks. However despite being a regular they seem to completely underestimate the amount of staff needed, and despite trying to be a sports bar regularly forget to put on the events.
However don't let this stop you going, there is a great atmosphere and a really good outside area. Definitely worth popping in and regularly used as a start point for hens and stags before going into town.

M. B.A very nice pub. We had a couple of beers here before setting off towards the town center and Rock City! A nice, large pub with friendly staff and good beers on tap - as well as the usual lagers etc. it was quite quiet with music on in the background and a couple of tv's showing sports. There are tables outside also, allowing you to take in the sun - when it's shining!

A. F.My girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere that we could try and eat a low carb meal - its tricky when everything everywhere is covered in a sugary sauce and comes with chips.
The grovesnor's menu is a typical pub menu but a good amount of the food does come with seasonal veg. The barman and chef were fine with us swapping stuff like potatoes and chips for veg and coleslaw. The service was very quick and the food was cooked well; I had a rare rib-eye steak that was properly coloured on the outside and red on the inside - juicy and tender. I'd also rate the food as being good value for money - a 10oz rib-eye for around £13 seems good to me.

T. M.Decent pub, do a few different ales and standard ooptions. Prices are not too high areound a tenner for a burger and a pint. Burger pretty meaty, decent cchips. Lots of sport and screens. Quite spacious. Pool table Toilets often a bit of a state and are up some stairs out of the way which isnt great. Staff are normally pretty friendly.
Location not in town but really not too far away and on loads of bus routes so would be a good place to go before hand.

H.I come here to a special event which is held usually once a month for the love of God employ some more staff you can stand at the bar 4 over half an hour and not get served and this is not the bartenders fault it is the management so Management please be aware where when an event is being held at your place and they have a break a minimum of 30 people are all wanting to be served and you have the audacity to if you're lucky have two members of staff ridiculous sort yourself out

P. S.I've been going here for more than twenty years on and off. It's had changes of staff and management plus several makeovers. One thing has remained constant, the terribly slow service. I don't know how they've managed such consistency over decades.
D. B.We've dined here 3 time now as it was a convenient place to meet up and we found the staff very friendly and the food very good. Don't be put off by the pay and display car parking as it gets refunded when you order at the bar.
