Great select of craft ales, ciders and lagers. It would be 5 stars but it's what I call a pay day pub. More pricey than a local but you pay for the selection.
A. B.I've never been in this bar before, but it was really busy and vibrant. The fact they can "open up" the side of the pub to join with its outdoor seating gives it an open, European feel to it....and and the drinks and staff were great too!!

A. S.Until a few months ago I had never been in. Its lovely. Nice atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Have done fantastic with the new guidelines. Beer is abit on the up market prices but it's a nice place so it doesn't matter.

The staff were thoroughly lovely, even though it was close to closing up time - Let's face it, nobody likes a Last Minute Larry. Had a lovely chat with the bar staff and didn't feel rushed to finish our drink. Will certainly come here again next time I'm in Notts.

I had a 'cool runnings' burger - it's easy to ruin a chicken breast and I've many dry ones at other places but this one was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Staff were really friendly and helpful when I used my Dine app! Lots of gin and beer to choose from. What more do you need?

Had a good chat with the bar staff Phil and Enya were especially nice to me offering me a ‘Fruli’ which was a delicious pint, never tried it before but was amazing!!! After that I got chatting to Mark who was new but was well spoken and professional. Great vibes will be returning!

Nottingham pie, pork belly and a side of fries - the best pub food we've ever eaten anywhere. Can't fault this place. We'd not just go back, we'd go back to Nottingham just to go back.

I ordered their buffet which I was disappointed with, the quality of food was spot on, my problem was the quantity for the price I paid. Spoke to the manager after about the situation which was quietly resolved.
M. A. (.A stunning pub with a real eye towards well kept beer. The range is always superb and has to be said, well rounded in what they offer with a decent mix of ranges for most palates and if your a #Camra aficionado you will certainly appreciate this pub.
The staff are all well informed in what they sell and friendly.
Started going their for the Wargaming and tabletop Games club that runs from the upstairs room.
The food is both filling and well balanced in regards flavour and style, with innovative ranges that have you mouthwatering as soon as you smell the food.
The pub also offers decent disability facilities on the ground floor and is fairly easy to access for anyone needing them.

N. C.One of many pubs in Notts. Doesn't really stand out apart from the fact that they serve Pilsner on the tap. Occasionaly you will be offered a basket of salty pretzel with your drink. Overall atmosphere is quite friendly and staff is talkative and helpful. Unfortunately if you are a woman you will not like to toilet at Ned Ludd. It's is dark, not clean and often smells. That could be certainly improved.

T. E.If you're looking to go out for a meal but don't want a "cheap Wetherspoons experience" nor a "expensive formal restaurant" experience, then The Ned Ludd in Nottingham is what you've been looking for.
The interior décor and atmosphere far exceeds the "pub/restaurants" that are ten-a-penny these days - No, this is more sophisticated than that yet still informal. On selected nights (I went on a Tuesday night) you can enjoy live music whilst you drink and or eat - I was treated to the talents of 'Mood Indigo', a kind of swing/jazz duo - both of whom were excellent.
If you are looking for the "usual fare" in regards to drink (Carlsberg, Carling, Fosters, John Smiths etc.,) you need to look elsewhere - The Ned Ludd serves real ales from local and independent breweries (most of the ales that the Navigation Brewery create are currently available) and national and international beers/lagers. Though more expensive than the aforementioned "generic" drinks, you do tend to savour the drink more since it is tastier and often stronger than you might be used to .... you can order many of them in third, half and full pint measures too which helps if you're looking to try many different drinks yet still plan on walking out on your own two feet!
The food was excellent. In fact, just a read of the menu is refreshing since it contains many items not to be found on standard pub or restaurant menus and there is an obvious emphasis on local produce. I had a 'Nottingham Pie' and cannot describe how delicious it was. The 'Goose Fair Mushy Peas' certainly complemented it nicely as did the rich gravy in a separate jug.
The staff are attentive but not intrusive, especially the manager - there was an error with our food order which led to a 45 minute delay and although we simply asked the waitress if our food had been forgotten, the manager was over to us immediately and did more than I thought was necessary to rectify the problem.
In summary, if you want a few after-work drinks, or somewhere nice but informal to take your partner for drinks and/or a meal ... or simply want to treat your Mum to a night out and a good meal, The Ned Ludd in Nottingham is a great choice. And one I will certainly make again.
