The food here was amazing!!!! We had a selection of tapas as starters and loved the sticky ribs and mozzarella sticks! For mains we had a mix of steak and ale pie, the salmon and the beef roast dinner and they mains did not disappoint! Really top quality food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We will be back!

Not been here for a very long time. I was pleasantly surprised it was more upmarket than most pubs. The Sunday roast was lovely rhe beef was fab and plenty of it. The service was excellent they brought you a bottle of water straight away without asking. Definitely recommend it.

Nice food but drinks prices aren’t explained. Charged £5.50 for a large coke, the option was large or small, diet, regular or zero, never specified they were 200ml bottles. Think this needs to be explained when taking order.

Had the best Sunday lunch ever! Covid-19 measures made you feel safe. The restaurant was busy (1st Sunday since indoor seating re-opened), but staff were attentive and professional. Roast was gorgeous and so was pudding. Great price for the offering. Can't wait to visit the area again so we can return again.

I have not been to the Nuthall for many years, I really didn't enjoy that visit. So when my daughter invited me and my granddaughter to have lunch and it was at The Nuthall I really wasn't expecting much. Oh how that place has changed decor food service all 5 star We all had squid for starters it was not the plastic squid rings that most restaurants sell (the rubber rings,) it has the tentacles and all beautifully seasoned with a dip. We then shared sweet potato fries home cooked fries and a fish goujong sandwich. All the food was piping hot, which for some restaurants they find hard to do. The customers interacted with others custumers praising the food,and said we will meet again, with food like that it's a certainty. I'm going to treat my hubby who wont believe the changes.

Entering in, it has a nice calming atmosphere, even next to a busy road. They provide you with two types of services table or bar and a variety of places to sit. They currently have a set menu two courses for about £12, or £14 for three courses. The portions are good size and very nice to the taste. They are a good variety of meat, poultry and seafood dishes.

Broken chair aside (it was replaced swiftly) we had a marvellous time celebrating a family milestone. The atmosphere was vibrant but not noisy, the food delicious and fairly priced. More car parking spaces would be welcome. Recommended.

Staff were incredibly accommodating as they were fully booked and we were a Saturday walk-in. They set us up with a table in the bar area and were very attentive. The food was amazing and the coffee was very good. The children really enjoyed their meals and the quality of the meals was worth every penny. Next time we return I'll remember to book in advance!

Expensive pub grub, would not mind paying up to £15 for a pie in a pub but it has to be good!!! Had the lunch time special menu which would of been great value if the food had been upto parr!!! I choose to have a starter from the main menu, which i was happy to pay extra for, my partner had the lunch set menu, however, we were charged individually for the starters & mains, so an expensive pub lunch, mainly left on the plate!!!

I had such an enjoyable lunch experience there today. There wasn't space for us in the dining room, but the staff were incredibly kind and attentive and a comfortable area was made for us in the lounge. The food was DELICIOUS! The options on both the kids menu and the adult menu were great, and the portion sizes were generous. I felt that I definitely got what I paid for. I shall definitely be making another visit.

Enjoyed a evening at the nuthall on Thursday 24th Feb a very pleasant inn .But a couple of points of concern were the young man at the bar who I found to be rude in his dealing with me . Its hard to put a finger on it but I would say seemed uninterested in the interactions with me , A dirty glass followed which was resolved promptly the food I have no complaints good as always

The child's meal was macaroni cheese.it was very very peppery for a child's meal we did tell the waitress but nothing was said or done about it. So was put off a little by that. We went here today 😊 for an evening meal, what a lovely place, lovely clean toilets, really friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Our waitress "Hayley" didn't stop smiling and was really helpful. Both my wife and I had steak 🥩, cooked to perfection and came up red hot 🔥 You can tell that all the food was cooked fresh to order What else can I say ☺️ clean toilets, lovely food and easy to park. The price was very good for the high standard of service and food received. We have already booked to go back for breakfast and again for another evening meal tomorrow. Trust me 😁 once you go here you will love it as well.

We came for dinner and drinks in the sunshine on Friday 11th. The pub feels very covid safe and the style of the dividers are so much nicer than the plastic ones. Felt like they fit in with the decor. Our waiter (Rayon I believe it was) was so polite and friendly. Good sense of humour and really was a pleasure to be served by him. Food was so good!!! We asked if we could tip him directly as he was the one that had given us the service and he said it would be shared between the staff. Disappointed as we wanted to tip him and not all the staff. Sometimes it's a shame you can't tip your waiter directly when they are the ones that made the evening what it was.

Went here for lunch, we loved the cosy contemporary decor and the way they had incorporated screens etc so they didn't feel out of place. We booked the Nuthall for our wedding anniversary celebration. 4 out of 6 of our group had fish and chips and the chips were really undercooked. We were offered replacements and 2 meals were changed.We were disappointed with the general service. We were not offered the desserts menu and it was difficult to draw the attention of a nember of staff.

We visited on a Thursday evening. Table booked for 7pm. The restaurant wasn’t very full but was promptly told on seat we have a short delay on four orders and we need the table back by 9.15pm. Drink order and food order was taken within 10 mins. By 8.15pm our starters still had not arrived. Some 75 mins after ordering. On asking was told we are busy due to COVID. Very poor excuse that was. Starters arrived at 8.30pm. Main meals followed before the last person had finished their starters. We were constantly asked how is everything going need anything else etc like we were being rushed especially at 9pm. Let’s say if you are short on staff say so and reduce your table seating or have extra staff. Very poor customer service and would not go back for food that was reasonable and ver over priced for 5 people: 3 starters and 5 mains it was over £145

Lovely place. Absolutely deserted though atm. Food great particularly the breakfast. Nice coffee as well. Hopefully it will survive the present conditions as it’s by far the best pub/eating place on the north east side of Nottingham. A real treat to have breakfast there.

Visited here as part of the Eat out to help out. It was busy we had to wait 50mins before our starters arrived. The tables were well spaced out. Good signage for social distancing. The food was really good especially the ribs! Only downside was some staff had their masks just around their mouths exposing the nose. Also it clearly stated on the disposable menu that cutlery would be in sealed packets which wasn’t so....the cutlery was handed to us by the waitress. So if this small but important issue is addressed it would’ve got a 5* from me.

Main courses large, filling and very tasty (well worth the money - we had a pie, burger and sausages - all great! ) however the £6.95 puddings have a lot to be desired!! Eton Mess?? Just mess!! Actually just a bowl of cream, lightly sprinkled in pistachio nuts and 5 raspberries.... Very disappointing! When we spoke to the waiter he didn't appear concerned and didn't really know how to deal with our comments.... Little disappointed to pay £13.90 for 2 bowls of cream but we didn't want to cause fuss. Won't be recommending the puddings to anyone

Inconsistent. On its day it can be very good but you'll also experience visits with very slow service. The worst example of this was it taking almost two hours from ordering to serving two courses. Even worse, instead of being offered the dessert menu we were informed that as we only had the table for another 10 minutes there probably wasn't time!!! That said, the food is mostly excellent and the interior is very attractive. Not been back since the dessert fiasco though.

Place is very nice and clean, however we went on a Sunday evening and had booked a reservation online, which they said they hadn't got. Luckily enough there was a table available. Food was nice and tasty and we'll presented. The problem came with the service. The servers themselves were polite and busy, I just think they were understaffed, as there were people waiting at the bar and no-one was serving, because they were elsewhere. We didn't have to wait too long for our food, but the couple next to us did. Other people who arrived after them, got served before them, ate and left, before they had been served! Everything was absolutely on point. I had the grilled chicken which was moist with crispy skin. Even the sauces were really nice. Definitely recommend for a bite to eat on a weekend afternoon.

The food is always pleasant - not your chain pub ping grub. The decor is pleasing to the eye and to the buttocks (those parts I’ve sat on) Friendly staff. I come here for breakfasts and enjoy the service and variety. I’m not much of a drinker these days, but I can vouch for the tea. Parking can be a bit tight, but there’s room on the road when the car park is full. There’s a nice outdoor section, but the view is of the A610, and not the exciting part where people in souped up hatchbacks race each other towards Giltbrook or Eastwood. All in all, a good pub to have nearby. While it’s not anti-kid, there don’t seem to be a lot of juniors here. Which can be nice.

2 meals of total contrast. Steak and Ale pie, simply to die for, a well cooked pie on a bed of mash potato and a lump of nicely cooked cabbage in a rather limp gravy. Fish and chips, oh dear well what can you say about this one. Nice looking tasty chunky chips then it goes down hill, the batter was hiding a surprise for all, inside was the smallest fish ever to be called part of a meal and the batter was extra crunchy in so much that a hammer and chisel would have been the choice crockery to eat it. The tables and chairs were a bit of a mish mash but did their job. Staff couldn't do enough for the customer. Generally well worth the rating. Would be willing to go again. Hoping that this independent establishment will take note and take the appropriate action.

Booked a table for 3 and was glad I did as the restaurant seemed to be busy but the rest of the pub area was quiet. On arrival I think we were in the second phase of lunch service with only a couple of waiter/esses on duty. It took a while to get there attention to order but we weren't in any major rush but if your on a business lunch I think you maybe struggle. Food wise was OK nothing outstanding but has been consistent everytime. The only disappointment was how long everything took when now the restaurant had emptied to only a few tables. Summary - food and service was OK but let down by slow kitchen and not enough staff to manage a full restaurant.

I've eaten at the Nuthall twice now; once for dinner and once for lunch. The first time was on personal recommendation from a friend who had eaten there and was singing their praises. Please note, this friend isn't easy to please when it comes to food. Both times have been really pleasant. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service attentive and the food on both occasions has been lovely; great flavours, while providing both the staple dishes as well as some more adventurous options. In fact, I'll be visiting again with some friends later this month. One to keep, and conveniently situated towards the M1.

Chips were hard though, tomato over grilled, a let down. Belly pork starter, too stingy for the price but well prepared. Over all, a good, fairly quiet but homely evening.
