We had Sunday lunch for 24 people to celebrate my dad's 90th birthday. The food was excellent and the service also. I would recommend.

Nice local pub, was father's Day so plenty of loud music from bar so sat in the back as my uncle 81 was too loud for him, however met some lovely people, plenty of chatter and he had a great evening, was made very welcome xx

I haven't been in for about 5 years but most of the faces were still the same smiles all round as usual well mostly. Still a good old locals local I tend not to go into the bar as most of the people I know now drink in the lounge. Prices are not to bad either.

I'm a vegetarian and although there wasn't a veggie option for the meat... it was still a very nice meal. Friendly staff and good service. Portion size was more than adequate and the choice of desserts was sufficient. The carrot cake with cream was delicious. Clean place with a good atmosphere.

My family used The Pelican pub in Bilborough to book the lounge for a private booking for funeral reception and the staff were excellent from beginning to end. The manageress was sympathetic in the way she dealt with our initial booking around a week before the reception and provided a welcome human touch to the process. On the day of the reception itself, everyone at the Pelican pub delivered on their promises and more. The newly renovated lounge area was sealed off for our private function and this worked really well. We also used the Pelican kitchen to provide all of the catering and they were great. Many of the people at reception commented on the excellence and range of the hot and cold food provided on the day. (They use Birds for the cobs and quality meats too - top notch!). If you're looking for a venue to book a private function room that holds a lot of people then I'd recommend the Pelican Pub in Bilborough highly. We had 100+ at our function with separate toilets and a disabled toilet too all at ground level. Their car park is massive too so it was great for our guests to have ample parking at zero cost too. Thank you to the staff at the Pelican for making it a special day.

The Pelican is a superb venue, we had my dads wake there on the 17th of January 2020, the staff were lovely, the food was excellent, everywhere was spotless, they catered for 60 people hot & cold food for £450 gret value for money, i would reccomend it to anyone.thank you all so much especially Dawn for making my dads wake so special.
