Lunch Reindeer Hoveringham
After a little delay we managed to try their first food service.
We sampled a selection of the small plates on the menu.
Cornish Crab & smacked cucumber Toastie.
The pic says it all.
Possibly the best toastie ever😋
Cod cheek scampi with a very tasty saffron aioli.
Gochujang inside out chicken wings & pickles.
Predict this will be a best seller.
Black pudding Scotch egg with homemade 'HP'
We will definitely return to try more of the delicious looking menu.
Even got to meet their New Executive Chef Michael Carr

Stopped off on a 30 mile bike ride on a warm Saturday for lunch unfortunately we arrived at 2:50pm and they had stopped serving food. One of the few pubs that still enforces a gap between weekend lunch and dinner. Nice view on the way out.

My wife and I popped in during a dog walk and had a lovely stay. Ended up buying lunch too as it all sounded so tasty! Didn’t disappoint. Great welcome from Adam the new landlord. We’ll definitely be back.

This is a good pub located next to the local cricket field. We ate Sunday lunch here and it was excellent. The pub is run by friendly people and we would definitely visit again.

A lovely welcome in a great pub situated on the village cricket Green. Well worth a visit.

Wowsers! The best Sunday lunch we have ever had! My husband pre-ordered the lamb shank and I had the mushroom and spinach wellington. Everything was cooked to perfection and the cauliflower cheese was superb. The chocolate brownie was beautiful. Lovely ambiance created by the pianist and the staff were excellent. Wine prices were good. We will definitely be back!

We decided to opt for a Sunday lunch. The ambience was good...roaring hot fire..The bar area was very clean
..There were three choices , including a vegetarian meal. The presentation, of the lunch, was nouvelle cuisine. The quality of the food, was good. However, the portion of only 2 roast potatoes, I thought was inadequate, for a Sunday lunch .I would have preferred a more traditional, carvery type of meal.

We were out walking with our dog and came across this Lovely village pub. We sat outside overlooking a cricket pitch. We decided to have lunch, which was very nice. Dog bowls everywhere for four legged friends. Will definitely return here.

We had a great afternoon at The Reindeer. Stumbled upon the pub on Google looking for somewhere where we could walk with friends and booked a table and it did not disappoint. Delicious, high quality food and drinks and brilliant customer service. Highly recommend this place!

This pub has recently been reopened and it also has a small menu, but the food is very tasty. If you like a nice plate of food that is not overflowing, this could suit your pallet quite well. We found it just the right proportions. I can recommend the quality of the food as well. Very nice public house, worth a visit.

Excellent place. Sunday lunch was brilliant - I actually had the beef sandwich which was amazing and really good value.
Good beer selection, ale well kept.

Love this pub.
Great beer lovely staff in a great location.
Sits on the boundary line of Hoveringham cricket club, a little bonus on a summers day.
Strongly recommended.

Stopped here for a drink after a walk. Lovely little village pub with the beer garden overlooking the cricket pitch and farm fields. Good choice of ales and gin, great for a couple of thirst quenchers on a summer’s afternoon. We’ll be back to try the food.

Food here was absolutely delicious. I had the gnocchi with stilton & wild mushroom (a very progressive choice, being only a recent mushroom convert) and it was DIVINE. The only things stopping this from being a knock-out 5 star rating were that the wait times were a little bit long & I felt the portion size on the homemade breads was a little stingy for £4.50.

What better than a Friday afternoon, sun's out than sitting outside with a pint. Very quiet although folks started to arrive around 4 ish. Food looked great but didn't eat. One way system around the bar.

Visited for the first time and had to eat early due to them being fully booked but well worth the early doors. Food was amazing and the atmosphere is really special. Still early days but what a start for Adam and the team.

Ever since the pub has been taken over by new management the food has been spectacular and the atmosphere has gone from being a dingy, locals only pub to a bright, open and wholey welcoming environment.
The change in layout of the bar has made it so you can actually get to the bar. Instead of having to elbow you way through and getting watched by the locals that crowded the tiny bar. The addition of the two sets of double doors means that you don't have to walk around the building just to have a pint outside.

A very nice sunday lunch, good beer, excellent service and a friendly atmosphere, overlooking a cricket field. Definitely would recommend based on this experience.
