Our Sunday carvery was a phenomenal experience. Every bite was scrumptious. We would gladly return here at any time. It is strongly recommended to book ahead, otherwise people snatch all the tables up. A table-calling technology would be definitely helpful because we had to wait for our bill for way too long.

We came here as a family and it was an absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. The staff were super kind and friendly and the food was amazing! It was Sunday, so roasts all around, and oh my goodness were they ever good. We had the 3-course menus and from start to finish, it did not disappoint. The haddock bubble and squeak was amazing and such a light starter, but we also tried the mac and cheese and cauliflower soup which were absolutely delicious. The roast chicken and beef were fantastic and the sauces were great. We were really thankful as well as they brought extra Yorkshire puddings for my uncle (he was thrilled!). Dessert was excellent as well and we loved the brownie, crumble and orange and rhubarb fool. Side note as well, their Old Fashioned cocktail was really good too! I'd highly recommend a visit. :)

The pork roasts are delicious and I really recommend them, however the vegetarian and beef roasts could've been better as the beef was dry and the quorn was a bit unappealing. Overall I've had really lovely experiences at this pub and I will be returning soon.

This was by far our best experience when it comes to food here Nottingham!
I’m not exaggerating, the food was absolutely delicious delicious not just well done 🔥🔥🔥
I had the fillet , the buttery taste is amazing and the steak was also great , the halloumi tender and full with flavors 😍, the desert omg on point ❤️
It wasn’t busy as people still think it’s closed , beautiful atmosphere, it is very underrated honestly !!!
Thank you for this amazing place

The beef was tender and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. The Yorkies were a bit overcooked. I was donated a few parsnips by a parsnip hater but they even enjoyed them with an accidental eat.
Friend had the pork belly which looked incredible. The crackling was good and the pork was great.
A really good Sunday lunch. One course £15 but two at £19 is better value. Good selection of beers/lagers too.
W. H.
Lovely bar with a good choice of drinks and a menu that reads full of deliciousness. Have to say we didn't have time to try the food but will probably be back later. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Went to the roundhouse for the first time on Sunday for their Sunday lunch with my family.
We had a pram and were not made aware upon booking of the large amount of stairs which was unhelpful. If you are coming here with a pram make sure you can carry it separately to the baby!
The Sunday Lunch itself was okay. I was expecting a bit more since the reviews are glowing but to be honest it wasn't that good.
I ordered the beef which was very fatty and almost too tough to cut through, needed a steak knife but they don't provide one. The potatoes were undercooked and slightly hard in the middle and the broccoli was overcooked, floppy and watery.
My partner had the chicken and it was much better than the beef, very juicy and flavourful but unfortunately the trimmings are what let both meals down.
Probably wouldn't go back as it is VERY expensive for what you get. We paid £68 overall for two adults and one child plus two soft drinks.

Absolutely top class food in a lovely warm and relaxing environment. Staff were very helpful and extremely friendly. Will definitely be coming back!!!
R. V.
A pleasant venue and staff were helpful but the food was nothing to write home about and we all felt slightly disappointed. I broccoli was overcooked and, for me, inedible. The red cabbage was so sweet I couldn't eat that either and the Yorkshire pudding looked unappealing and tasted like a pancake. The saving grace was my chicken which was melt in the mouth delicious.
They also charge an extra 10% service charge which we didn't know about until point of payment.

Most beautiful sunday dinner as always this is our third time coming and never disappoints today we came for Mothers day and as per it was fantastic! Thank you Kiran for going above and beyond as always for us.. not only is the food fab the staff are too this is a hidden gem but worth going too! Look forward to lunch in the summer with some cheeky drinks! Thanks Roundhouse!
M.
Big thank you to the barman who let us in for last orders and gave us more than enough time to finish our drinks. Absolute gentleman. Lovely pub with a fantastic historical background.
R. D.
A beautiful place to visit. The word in elegant and sophistication. A great place to relax as part of your day. I believe this is the perfect place for a special celebration.
One draw back I felt very judged by the bar person because I was here for the bar trail.
M. R.
Great cocktails, not tried the hotdogs.
D. A.
The best roast dinner I've had but for a pint and a roast after service charge and tax was £28! It is 5 star food but limited largers and very very expensive!
r. h.
Bit tired inside, butca lovely friendly pub. Not eaten here but the food smells delicious.
D. G.
Went during the first week of outdoor dining/drinks in a group of 6. Very good spacing and organization on the patio, and excellent food (pulled pork with caramelized apple!). Felt very safe the whole time. Service from Karin(spelling?) was excellent -- she worked very hard, moved very quickly, and was courteous the whole night. Highly recommended. Will go there again soon, I hope.
M.
One of those pubs that’s great in both summer and winter, with a cosy inside area and a decent sun trap out the back.
The small plates menu is very good here - especially on the 3 for £15 midweek deal. They’re not that small either (3x small plates and a flatbread plenty enough for 2) and a there’s a very good selection of them.
Good range of drinks and service always decent too. Well worth seeking out when in the castle area of the city.
B. S.
Beer was nice but not a great selection, could do with a few more of they have the trade
c. s.
So good
C. M.
Went for Sunday lunch, it was fairly quiet. Staff were lovely, friendly. Drink order was incorrect, but staff were happy to rectify that. Food looked delicious but tasted as though it had been sitting for a while.
L.
I booked a table for 4 of us and of course it was blowing a gale and bucketing it down...however under the gazebo each table was fully occupied, everyone was laughing and there was generally just a great atmosphere. Our server was so funny and to top it off the food was ace. Can't wait to come back, it was my first evening out in a long time and well worth the time I had to wait to visit.
L.
The food was amazing, super delicious. The atmosphere was also really lovely, however, the food and drinks took a really long time to arrive. This would be fine if the place was quite busy, but it was not busy, and the food still took an age to arrive. Otherwise, very much recommend this place for a drink and some food with friends or family.
A. H.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food, they also allow dogs which is fantastic, would highly recommend ordering some of their smaller dishes to share.
g. s.
Lovely laid back after dinner drinks were taken. Nice ambience.
K. B.
Nice place to relax. Good range of drinks, flexible menu with range of tapas and mains. Quality good. Friendly staff. What else do you want?
G. U.
Good food decent potions good value for money would recommend for Sunday dinner
Y. K.
Great food and drinks, not busy so was a great atmosphere.
s. f.
Service was great, cocktails were heaven and the food great, my only critique, having perhaps 1 more veggie meal other than a burger. Curry? Lasagne? Risotto?
S. M.
Went here Saturday for dinner. The small plates are not small!! The food was absolutely outstanding, every single dish! Would highly recommend!
k.
Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff well kept bar a variety of beers 🍻, a relaxing time spent there. 😀
G. B.
First time here, staff were very helpful and informative, will be back
C. W.
Really recommend this place. Great interior design and the service is absolutely flawless. Perfect for a lunchtime pint. There's also some great history in this building. Looking forward to seeing it grow into a well known go-to pub.
H. M.
Cannot fault this place! Great for dinner and drinks, or just a casual drinks- so much better than other pub style options in the city. The decor is lovely, great music and a chilled vibe and the service is amazing!
M. F.
Fantastic
A very warm welcome. Excellent home cooked food. We both had the traditional roast beef that was cooked to perfection, the vegetables too were plentiful and very tasty.
A really good selection of beers to choose from aswell.
One of the best Sunday Lunch experiences we've had in a long time, will definitely be visiting The Round House again very soon.
Excellent value for money.
N. S.
Visited on a Thursday night and the restaurant was empty. Only one other couple there. It was lacking atmosphere and the large wedge tables put you at some distance when sat across. Felt the food was very over priced for the size of portions served. It certainly didn't fill you up and I left wanting more. Beer was good, decent selection of beers on tap. Sadly an underwhelming experience.
G.
Great selection of beer and wine, always have cask and keg. Plus! lovely food. Recommended.
n. b.
Great service from friendly staff.
Pre COVID we visited a couple of times for meals (excellent) and in the past week enjoyed sitting on the terrace have my first post lock down pint.
A. H.
We had some fun in this bar. We were definitely merry and being silly. Great bar and obviously it’s round. Quite busy but not so bad we could get a seat. Drinks were reasonable and good. Staff friendly and helpful.
K. M.
Lovely place, great selection of drinks and the Sunday dinner was nice. Often go here!
M. H.
Excellent food. Good service. Decor was nice but atmosphere just a tad lacking
G. C.
Great atmosphere and beer. Felt "normal" even with lockdown. Table service means not always easy to pick a beer but waitress able to recommend and deliver 😊. Will be back to try food
M. B.
Just tried the new takeaway lunch menu and it was amazing. The fish and chips were great.
Been a few times since it has reopened for a drink too and the choice of beers are amazing.
Top venue and great to see so much local produce
R. B.
My favourite pub in town. Love the great selection and quality of beers and wines and the relaxed atmosphere. You feel like you've earned a drink by the time you reach the top of Standard Hill as well!
D. B.
Brilliant pub with a real upmarket traditional feel to it. Felt really relaxed and chilled out, the atmosphere was relaxed as well. Service was top notch and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place and recommend coming here again even on your own, the views are nice as well.
K. F.
I have seen the door to this place but never stopped in until recently. While a bit off the main path, and part of the newer buildings on Standard Hill, the pub itself is really nice. It was not busy when I stopped in so I stayed for a pint and ordered salmon for dinner. I was really impressed with the quality of the food and drink - and sorry that I had not stopped in before. I will be back for sure.
T. P.
The best part about this place is that they don't have stupid background music. Tasteful old-fashioned music is played softly and makes for a very enjoyable atmosphere. Beer ok. Standard town prices. Haven't eaten there but often tempted by what I've seen of others tables.
Sundays are usually quiet and relaxed. Good day to try the place.
j. A.
Nottingham is full of historical pubs, and traditional pubs that have done well for themselves, so it's nice to find a new build place like this can also thrive. The food is ok, but it's the range of beers here that wins the day. There aren't so many, but there's a great mix of old favourites and something new. The decor is charming, and the staff are efficient. And it's quiet in the day too, so if you're looking for an unhurried pint in a nice setting, it's perfect. Some good outdoor seating too for sunnier days.
M. C.
Good food and a nice environment.
This pub / restaurant is nice and modern inside but located in a very historic building in the middle of the city.
The menu is very good, if a little pricey but the food is of very good quality and it is cooked beautifully.
The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming and there is a good choice of beverages.
F. A.
We come here regularly and it has never disappointed. Great food, great portions and great service! We've come again for Mother's Day and, despite the added pressure for the special occasion, it's been amazing yet again! Always our first choice for a roast dinner out!
E.
Amazing food and drinks - good verity and great quality for the price. Nice environment and great music choices. Really friendly staff and the owners are the best!! Recommend to anyone in Nottingham, day and night.
A. J.
Loved my burger but my friends both felt quite queasy after the fish finger sandwich. It did smell extremely fishy!
I do love the place though and I'll still be more than happy to go back for the beer and atmosphere.
H. H.
Lovely friendly staff a great place to eat and the food was cooked well and taste great drinks served and made most welcome
J. B.
It is in quiet area of the city centre and gives decent and enjoyable atmosphere which is great for small meeting groups. They also provide standard selection of drinks including teas. The staff are kind. I strongly recommend the place for the gathering of family and friends!
P.
Fabulous food. Five in our group and we all gave 5 ⭐'s. The staff were excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be back.
A. J.
Possibly my favourite pub in Nottingham..! Good beers on tap, a very good number and selection of Gins. The bar staff are welcoming and very helpful. The ambiance is very warm, with cozy chairs or booths to recline in.
D.
We call this our local city centre bar. Great food and drinks. Fabulous service. And friendly atmosphere.
M. J.
Very nice Sunday lunch. They don't do a big range but what they do, they do really well.
J. T.
Great family freindly pub hidden gem
C. B.
Went here with friends on a Saturday lunchtime and was very quiet.
The menu is mainly Italian , steering towards pizza and pasta.
I had the 10oz hanger steak which was pretty nice but nothing out of this world.
Everyone's food looked fine but again just average.
Lunch prices were reasonable ...1 course for £8 , 2 for £12 and 3 for £16.
My steak meal was £16 off a different menu.
Staff were neither very friendly nor impolite ... just matter of factish and barely smiled.
Being in the centre of Nottingham around many other restaurants, I'm not sure I'd return though I'm afraid..
J. B.
Nice location for a quick drink after work. Nice seating on long wood tables indoors when it is cold and outside when the sun is out. The building itself is slightly unique. Good selection of drinks.
J. G.
Love the building, georgous inside with lovely old pictures. Lovely ales. Nice booths to sit in. Tasty food. Nice if not strange beer garden, more like a outside theatre.
J. M.
I would recommend this place to anyone for just their quality of food alone, the atmosphere is excellent and the staff are all genuine people who will cater to your needs. The only scrutiny would be the price of the beer in the Round House, last time I was there I was paying £4 for a pint which I find a bit steep but the food is priced well for the quality you receive.
T. P.
Bit off the beaten track. Outside area is a real sun trap. It was too hot for us. We eat indoors. Food was nice enough, but the atmosphere was lacking. Maybe just because it was a bank holiday weekend. Really quirky round building.
w.
Well, we knew this place from a while ago when you use to be able to buy good pub grub. If you wanted lite you could get a nice sandwich or wrap. But now it has changed the menu to a more extravagant Italian theme with mainly pizza and pasta on the menu.
I'm sorry.... how many Italian pubs do you know?
Lost a bit of identity with a confusing concept. So please bring back the old menu. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
J. B.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Excellent service. Could do with a bit more choice on menu especially for vegetarian dishes.
C. M.
Amazing Sunday lunch. Food is too good to describe. Service is laid back and fairly casual, which we enjoyed. Only negative was the stairs to enter (I'm on crutches)
K. G.
If you have not tried the new menu at the Roundhouse - then you must. The food is exceptional quality, innovative and great value. All freshly made, some of the best food on offer in Nottingham now!
N. L.
Serves good beer and nice food. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff
C. G.
Great food & atmosphere, friendly staff.
Good value for money. Not overly busy last Friday night. Will definately go there again.
E. P.
Good food, nice atmosphere
T. R.
One of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in Nottingham, not only was the food exceptional (especially the braised shin of beef with the papardelle pasta) but the staff were also super courteous and knowledgeable about the different wine selections. The great service at The Roundhouse, combined with great food and atmosphere I believe make it a must for anyone either stopping by in Nottingham or living in the area. Thanks guys.
R. T.
Food was very good, staff were very friendly and helpful they made our stay very welcoming
J. Y.
Food nothing to write home about. Serving staff weren't brill but it's okay.

Excellent pub with tasty mix of real ale. I recommend Roundheart for full flavour at 4%.
Great staff and pleasantly different. Good food too.
C. S.
Always looks like a quality place inside but every time I go it's very quiet and I find it strange. Good beers and the food is great
B. M.
A great pub to talk with a group of friends over good food and beer. The food is expensive but good quality. A very comfortable and inviting venue.
u.
An especially nice place to sit down for a meal and a pint with a piquet few of artwork around you.
I wouldn't recommend this place for your first port of call for a pub crawl though. As you will fill out of place standing around.
A. L.
Great pub,nice ales,excellent service.
j. o.
Very comfortable and fairly quiet city centre pub just out of the busiest area.
Roundhouse bitter is an excellent beer.
E. L.
