T. S.Great place I have been trying to visit for so long but not close for me to get to. Eventually managed it and was a good experience a day the owner was really friendly and helpful.
It's nice you can sample as much or as little as you wish from each of the pumps as you serve yourself.
Great system showing how much you have spent to keep it under control. Looking forward to coming back.

S. P.Great place. You get a credit style card on arrival. You pay for what you pour,so you sample any of the drinks and just pay for what you pour. Great idea!
K. R.Absolutely brilliant! £2 for a card to top up for beer or wine and you pour it yourself! Very easy to use, clean and tidy and the staff are fab. I don't know why no one has done this before, truly magic! The only downside is that it was card only when we arrived, but still a great and unique place to visit!
C. D.Amazing and very unique pub where you serve yourself! On entry you get a card which holds your beer tab, then place the card in the slot on the wall, and pour your beers. On the screens above the taps you can see exactly how much is on your tab to keep track of spending, and also it tells you how much beer has been poured and the price for that pour. Then you settle up on exit. It's an amazing concept, and so much fun!!! Make sure you visit this bar when in Nottingham!!! Highly recommended.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, the bat is a cool place to just hang out.

T. G.The choices are often expensive, but being able to sample something before committing to a pint of it makes it worth the cost. The outside seating is in the smoking area but overall a thoroughly pleasant experience.

C. S.It's a self service bar, the beers are plentiful with an array of options to either drink in or you can take away beers from their fridges. They serve some of the best pizza in the Midlands as far as I'm concerned. My only negative is the fact you have to pay for tasters. In all my years as a Craft Beer seeker and the 100's of bars visited I've never had to pay for any tasters bar some very expensive imperial stouts. I don't expect to pay to taste a standard IPA you can get at any half decent bar.
Sort that out and I'll change it to a 5 star.
Apart from that, highly recommended.
K.Easy self serve process, welcoming and helpful staff, Great chilled atmosphere, great selection of drink and amazing pizza!! This was a nice little find. This self service pub is not a novelty but a truly amazing idea. With your top up card you can pick and pour yourself drinks from a variety of ales and wine but if you're unsure what they are with one tap of the screen it gives you details of the beverage at your own leisure. Pour yourself a taster if you're still unsure. Amazing little gem of Nottingham.

J. C.The Tap House as a great concept of pouring your own drinks, they have a selection of real ales, cider and cocktails. You register your name and they give you a tab card, you use this tab card to purchase your drinks from the selection they have and you enjoy your drinks, and when your ready to leave you give them your tab card and you then pay by debit card they don't except cash. It's great that you don't have to wait at a bar to be served, you just serve yourself. Definitely go back.
J. D.Great choice of drinks, great rustic style 'Chicago' pizza, great atmosphere and staff. Not expensive, not mega cheap, but well priced for good beer, wine, cider and pizza.
It's super relaxed and friendly. The 3 guys running the place were super helpful and explained how everything works.
It's a great system actually. We loaded £10 on to a card, we chose a beer, placed the card on the slot for the beer and poured ourselves as much as we wanted. It's actually a genius idea too, because gone are the days of buying a pint and hating it. Just pour yourself a taster, try it, then either fill up as much as you want or move on to another drink.
It's not just beer, of which there is real ale, cider, fruit beers, wheat beers, sours , IPA, stout etc. But there are wines and ciders too.
We couldn't resist choosing a slice of their pizza each as it looked amazing. Turns out it's one of the best Pizza's I've had...and I'm half Italian. The second that place does full size take away pizza's (they plan to soon) I'm buying 2 to take home.

We arrived at around 2pm, there was nobody there at the time and we were told it was only the 2nd day after opening. It quickly filled up and I'm not at all surprised it got busy.
I genuinely can't wait to go back. We live in Newark so it's a little bit of travel for us. But we're planning a trip on the train to Nottingham in the near future, just to visit this place.

G. L.This is a novel idea for a bar. You choose and pour your own beer. Which is great, especially if you are the guy running it as you get to stand around doing nothing while making money!! Genius! Seriously I've been twice and it wasn't as fun the second time. once you've tried all the beers and chosen you're favourites a wall full of beers starts to lack something. That said, being able to drink thirds and try everything once is a great idea. An essential stopping point for keg lovers everywhere

S. M.Good new beer bar, wide selection. Somewhere slightly different to go, makes use of a card system where you can pour yourself beer by the amount you want which takes your balance down. Good for trying smaller glasses of stuff you’re not sure of.
Offers some food too, like pizza.
P. M.A great concept for the beer conosuier. Grab a card on the way in and then simply scan the beer you want and pour. No waiting at a bar. Simply help yourself. These guys have already done this, to great success with their wine bar. It's a great way to try out some cracking beers
