A.One of the most affordable pub in Nottingham. Watching a football game is also quite an experience over here as most of the tables have separate Television screen.
P. H.Been using this pub as a lunchtime stop this week whilst visiting my wife in the QMC nearby. Today (Sunday) was my 3rd carvery and was just excellent! Choice of 4 meats today and a few extras over the usual weekday carvery. I have to say the quality of the fayre each day has been 1st class and is backed up by a friendly Landlord and equally friendly staff. Well done guys and thankyou

The barmaid was very professional and I was made welcome immediately. We had a problem with my card payment and she even came to my table to try again.
The other patrons all seemed really nice and when I went to the bar the third time, I assumed I was served by the owner, again made to feel very welcome. A really well run pub.

h.Friendly pub with ample parking and a good choice of well kept beers. We managed to secure a booth with a TV and enjoyed the video jukebox for a while prior to watching the boxing.
Carlsberg at £1.95 a pint was a highlight 👍

A. D.We did a visit as I heard it had been through a make over (which it has inside apart from the loo's). Its now a mini carvery. Still very good value for food, although my daughter said the gammon was a bit too salty and some of the side veg were actually cold. As its a carvery you can ask for a bit of each of the meats - beef, gammon, chicken and lamb. I loved the cauliflower cheese. The bar staff were quite young but did a good job. Marking it down a bit due to the cold veg more than anything. The speckled hen ale was good. I just wish they had a bigger child menu for the food though. Not many choices on there for the kids. (Its lucky mine went for a child portion carvery).
C. M.Amazing mixed grill and route 66 burger! We have been in a few times now, both for the £4 pp all you can eat breakfast and to eat off the normal menu after 2pm as we have been staying at qmc hospital close by due to our daughter being born prematurely and each time it has been really good food.
The landlady is really friendly and always has a smile and it's always clean and tidy too.
Z. R.Decent pub with mixed clientele, the night I went there was a pretty good Oasis cover band, but I have heard it isn't always as good. Pool and darts always help though, and a variety of levels of seating. The £4 unlimited brunch is a winner!

C. W.On entering the bar area (Early Thursday evening) it was crowded but comfortable, we were greeted with a smile, “can I help you”, first impressions, warm and welcoming.
We ordered our drinks and sat at a table to peruse the menu, excellent layout and easy to follow, though some of the smaller print is difficult for those of us getting on in years.
We struggled to come to a decision as the choices all made our mouths water but decided on the mixed grill.
Rump steak, chicken breast, gammon steak with fried egg, (Maybe the pineapple option could be offered next year), two pork sausages, mushrooms, chips and peas.
I have Guinness which was served perfectly apart from the shamrock, better have has her customary glass of diet coke.
The food arrived and looked delicious, the chicken was succulent, gammon moist unlike a lot of places where it appears dried up, my steak was a tad over cooked, leaning more to medium than rare, but still pink with just a little redness, but the best part…. The egg. Now if anyone has read my previous reviews my pet hate is hard fried eggs….
AT LAST… the egg oozed a glorious yellow yolk, the chips piping hot and crisp.
Well done to the team they obviously work hard and are reaping the rewards

Great if you have had an appointment at the Queens medical centre, we had a long day in the hospital and I came out very hungry, you leave the hospital by the ear nose and throat clinic cross the road ahead near the Brook keep walking and you will come to it,. Run by green king, very good pint and cheap, good prices on food they do two for ten pounds, child's portions where very good, I will definitely be returning after my next appointment.
