This pub is epic. The staff are brilliant, the atmosphere is great, and the food is amazing? Got an over 18's area so you can have a chilled pint without kids running around, with 2 pool tables and a dart board and a decent beer garden at the front and back. There's also a family area. Large TV's everywhere with all types of sports on and all major football matches. Great pub

In short, inexpensive simple food. It's your standard hungry horse affair. Looking for no frills meals on the cheap then look no further as you can get some great meals for the whole family. Come on a Monday and get some pub classics even cheaper with their Monday deal. Service was friendly, no issues there. Ordering is easy, find your table and order on the Greene King app and wait for the food to arrive!

Amazing evening. The staff were visibly very busy but were still very helpful and patient with us when asking questions and ordering our meals. We had the Sunday roasts and it was delicious, lovely seeming hot veg and the meet was gorgeous. I would highly recommend coming down for a family meal.

Great venue, did a wedding photography shoot there a few weeks ago and it was fantastic! Great food, music and plenty of beer garden and outdoor seating areas. They even have barrels of fresh water for your fur babies to cool off. Very friendly staff too.

Very nice and friendly pub. Not had a bad visit here in over five years. Live the layout which has an over 18 section and another for families. Large enough to house two bars, seated area for food, large outdoor seating and a good sized carpark. As it's part of the Hungry Horse chain it offers discounts via the app (and cash back from certain banks).

Stopped off for a quick lunch and some games of pool on a Friday lunchtime with three colleagues. It wasn't very busy so bar service was prompt. The food came out quite spaced out considering we all ordered to the same table one after the other. I had the Steak on A Pie, very tasty and a generous portion.

Overall average experience. Staff were friendly but the place could have done with a lick of paint and a refresh. Food was okay, had the no-chicken goujons and they were very overcooked so the ends were not chewable. But, I did have the vegan crumble which was lovely. My friend had half a chicken which looked really moist and tasty so I would probably give the place another go but avoid the chicken-less goujons.

Awesomely friendly staff, super clean, sharpe Stella, great coffee and the food is pretty good. I've been five weeks on the trot, had a different meal each time and they have all been perfection. Mega mixed grill is actually mega, steak is cooked exactly how you want it, chips are steaming hot and the gammon is ultra juicy same as the sausage and chicken. Scampi lol can't be any left in the sea there was that many. The burger meal, more like a mountain to eat, fabulous. Crispy garlic chicken is to die for and when it turns up, you'll be amazed. The sizzler choice 😘👌 just the business. Different days of the week there are specials and they are specials too. Three meals, coffee and a pint on a Saturday was under 30 quid 😃 Tables in the garden with a TV, big parking lot which has two disabled spaces to use that I've seen. Great place to chill and party. Love it.

Nipped in as first timers to this pub after attending the carribean carnival with partner and 7 year old. First impressions was OK, except wasn't sure how to get in at first as it said over 🔞 only on the main doors!!! Staff were lovely anyway once we had found our way to the family area which is at back of the pub. We ordered 2 for £10 Sunday roasts which we can only describe as microwave meals,, not much gravy either, been in other hungry horse pubs and ordered this meal and not been disappointed,, anyway as it was packed solid I suppose everything was rushed, as for my 7year old, she was quite happy with her mini mania which was spot on!!!!

We came to the wolds on Sunday our table was booked our meal was excellent the staff went above and beyond we were treating our neices to lunch and there 4 and 6 our 4year old is dairy and soya intolerant they really enjoyed the meal and when it came to the icecrean the staff came out to ask if both children wanted there vegan iceream there was even a few strawberries with the young ones icecrean thank you to all the staff and Sean Stone the landlord our day out was made a lot easier. The access is also excellent for the disabled so even Grandad could come. We will definitely go again it was great value ,excellent service Thank you all again Glenys Day

I went for the mixed grill. Unfortunately the chicken breast felt tough as though it had been boiled. Absolutely no colour to it. The sausages looked like school dinner sausages. Not great tbh. The 'medium' steak was also overdone. The rest was OK as was the other people's food I was with. Reasonably priced for drinks and food hence the 3rd star.

Seriously nothing to write home about. As bog standard ordinary as it can be. The only saving grace is the football goals in the mens urinals and the friendly bar staff. Keeps the pee in the pot and the pee coming in that order!! The regulars love the pub and that is what is important for a community pub. What I appreciate about this pub is that the manager/publican takes the trouble to individually respond to all feedback and offers to talk to those who don't 5 star it to find out how they can make things better. Now that is what I call customer service and why i will up my rating to 4 stars and go back to say Thank You. Thank you. Go the Wolds. They will look after you.

For a cheap and cheerful meal or drink this place is fine. It used to be part of the Hungry Horse chain but sorry can't remember if it still is. Either way it's very much of that sort of thing. I wouldn't go here on a date or if I wanted to take my time over a nice meal as it's really not that sort of place. Each day also has a deal. I went on a Thursday and so this meant you get a free dessert if you pick a main course from the big plate section. Although when I ordered and paid I wasn't aware of this and the server did not make me aware of it. It was only a while later in conversation with the people I'd gone with that told me so I had to go back up to the bar and actually ask for it. I think for good customer service they really should tell you when you go up to order if it looks like you're going to miss out on that days deal although maybe they do this because it saves them money and that's more important. The staff were friendly though and someone did come after a few minutes to check our food was ok which was nice.

We visit on a regular basis , as I like what you get for your money . But in the last occasion we visited as a table of 8, reserved for 3.00pm new years day, the table was unclean so we had to clean ourselves ,also deserts took 25 minutes to arrive from the time of ordering, after ings to ask the shift manager what was going on,the response I got was I'll look what's going on not food arrived , then finally after having to ask my wife to go to the bar to ask again they arrived. When I asked what was going on the response I got was that PEOPLE ARE ON THEIR BREAK...dont see how that affected the service that should be offered to me .

Not the best hungry horse ive been in. Staff dropped napkins carrying plates to the kitchen.....3 other staff members just stepped over them and carried on talking without picking them up! Food was ok but the place wasnt very clean. Toilets were awful. Our server was lovely tho but not sure I will go back in a hurry. Little disappointed.

Went with a friend and his young daughter. Children's menu was good, as was the adult menu. Choice of drinks for children was adequate and included slush. Having ordered food didn't take long to arrive. We were asked if any other sauces would be needed and there was an enquiry about satisfaction both whilst eating and when the table was cleared. Being a nice day we went outside. Play facilities were poor and comprised a small Wendy house and a green plastic frog - presumably for use as a sandpit, but was empty. Playing in and out of the bushes an empty crisp packet was brought out. Was an enjoyable day but spoilt due to lack of childrens equipment. There used to be plenty à few years ago

The service at the bar was a little slow. But was made up by the waiting staff and the food. We went on a Sunday and decided to have a change from a roast. We chose the two big plates for £10. We had a starter before instead of dessert. Oh boy was we silly to do that. When they say big plates, they mean BIG plates!!!! How they can do that for £5 each I don't know. I had the smothered chicken, 4decent size fillets (I brought 2 home) chips, peas, coleslaw and onion rings. My husband had the chicken tikka. We have never seen so much chicken in the sliver bowl before. It also came with rice, chips, poppadoms, nann, onion bahjees. We have both been trying to cut down our portion sizes and loose weight. Yesterday reminded us of how far we have come. At one point we would have managed that and a pudding. Don't get me wrong, will order again as such good value. Plus I have pack up for tomorrow 😁🤣
