L.Really lovely food and atmosphere. Only thing that stops it being 5* was the very limited vegetarian option… menu changes though so sure we would have been fine another day 😊

A good range of very well kept beers on offer, including from their own micro brewery.
Food menu is fairly small with a good choice of specials available. This says to me that they concentrate on really great food over a massive choice of mass produced meals. Tom Yum soup was very good and the "Shells and Prawns" was superb.
Definitely a pub to return to!
T.I stopped by here for Sunday lunch after a good walk. The lunch was excellent - everything was fresh, well cooked & beautifully presented- I strongly recommend the pork belly (to die for!). All washed down with a couple of pints of well kept Lion's Pride bitter - the best beer I've had in a while. All very reasonably priced and very good value. I'll be back when I'm next in the area.
W. G.Absolutely amazing food, the seafood really is something special. Highly recommend trying their Thai dishes but you won't be disappointed no matter what you order - good portion sizes, great variety, lovely service and although not the cheapest option I firmly believe nothing is overpriced considering what you get. Interior is not especially large so worth booking ahead to guarantee a space there (though there is additional seating outside).
K. R.There was a group of 7 of us and we sat outside in the undercover/conservatory area which was quite spacious and benefited from several wall heaters so we were lovely and snug on a chilly day.
Food was absolutely spot on and none of our party could fault it. An excellent selection of food to cater to every taste and everything done to a very high standard. Great service from polite and attentive staff and as an added bonus it's a dog friendly pub which caters exceptionally well to your canine companion. Will be going back without a shadow of a doubt.
S. D.Visited the woodlark for lunch last Friday it was gorgeous and yummy seafood cooked to perfection. The service was quick and we felt really safe (COVID wise). Really reasonable price too for what we both had.
A. B. (.Birthday meal with my mum and we wanted a great fish supper in Nottingham. This popped up on Teip Advisor and we phoned up to book at table. It was fully booked but they just had a cancellation as we were phoning. Luckily we got a table for 6.30 pm. On arrival we were shown to our table by a young polite man. A young woman took our drinks order and we chose some delicious sounding dishes. Penang fish curry and scallops were some of the dishes we chose. The beers were a great selection too. As the restaurant filled up we ate our meals in silence as the food tasted great, spicy, and flavour some.
This is my new favourite place as it specialises in sea food and as I am normally always at the sea side and love sea food it's the best place for me to eat when in the midlands.
The £70 plus bill was worth it.

Good variety of beers, first batch of micro brew since civic restrictions being made at the moment, must come back to taste some!.

M. N.Thai Tuesday & lots of interesting fish dishes. Nice outdoor seating area. Long wait for food though & side dishes were fogotten. Like a lot of places these days service a bit lacking. Dessert portion size on the small side particularly the cheesecake. Almost felt like dogs were more welcome than their owners.
C. C.Super range of lunch time choices but as a consequence it is a very popular venue and that might not suit everyone at the moment.
That said , the service was first rate even under pressure...and extreme heat! This was true of each member of staff.
For example, without request, the water jugs were replenished repeatedly to keep us all hydrated. Also our ordered drinks were tailored to our requests. In particular, our lime & sodas were fresh (not cordial) and delicious.
As a group, we ordered the Salmon salads, a steak and the steamed shells.
All three dishes were substantial portions and at a good price point.
