I love this pub. Nice experience and environment. Very comfortable to stay for a drinks. Reasonable priced but don’t expect very tasty for the food. That is….staff are very friendly

Fantastic breakfast absolutely lovely bargain price and girl who was there on her own was an absolute Gem great service would highly recommend
G. F.
Great prices on food and drinks the offers on drinks are amazing. The food was delicious we shared the ultimate share platter which was a lot to feed three people. Then I had the sliders which was a mistake after the huge share platter but the sliders were phenomenal I love burgers and they were some tasty burgers you get two cheese burgers two bacon cheese burgers and two chicken burgers with so many fries I had three sliders and in all honesty I wanted someone to roll me to the car. Great canal views friendly staff great prices everything bigger it's a genuine must go too. We definitely will be back

The crispy chicken and katsu curry was really disappointing it was just a schnitzel with a brown coloured chip shop curry. They also ran out of plain rice and was offered other solutions however non of these were actually healthy. Though the interior is pretty the food is just an overpriced Birdseye meal.

Went here for a late lunch. Had a grilled haloumi salad which had nice crisp lettuce, some sliced cucumber and a few tomato quarters,a nice dressing that didn't drown the salad. Way too much red onion unfortunately. My partner had a bacon burger but the bun was a bit dry. The accompanying fries were hot and crisp. Prices were very reasonable. The menu was quite extensive with some good daily specials. We would go back again to try something different. Nice location next to the canal. I should imagine it would be busy on a nice day(it was raining the day went).

We popped by on the hottest day of the year and were delighted to acquire an outside table. The place was rammed as expected and we had to queue 10 minutes at the bar, but the staff were marvellous at the end of what I can imagine was a very hot, busy day! Beautiful setting and cheap drinks, what more could you ask for?
R. S.
Proper meal for 6£ on Monday.Would like to see more ales on tap!

Lovely pub, by a lovely marina. Curtis was lovely, very funny and made the experience enjoyable. You can tell he works hard and enjoys his work. I hope he gets a reward of some sort because he was always smiling and busy. Food was fab too.
P. R.
Very reasonably priced food, well cooked and tasty. Staff exceptional. A nice change to staff we have met recently. Will definitely visit again.

First time coming here food was very nice but had to wait over an hour for food was told at start. Very short on staff u can tell that for a Sunday. Wasn't told about the parking situation until I went back to my car and saw the sign and had to go back in and put my reg into the system but at this time I was there over 2 hours so hope don't get a ticket otherwise will be back. NEEDS TO BE A BIG SIGN ON DOOR OR WHEN U WALK IN AT THE DESK. apart from this will be back again thank u. Did notice alot of webs around the lights and at the tops of walls. Thank u again would had put 5 stars if it wasn't for the car ticket system not being told when ordering food. Thank u

Fantastic location, brilliant that you can watch films or listen to music near the pool- table side. But.... Some parts of the Sunday roast was a let down. , (only parts of it.) We ordered the vegetarian Sunday lunch, the only let down was the presentation and the rock hard roast potatoes.. The mash, veg was lovely tasting. We will definitely be back because the value was amazing! Think we payed under 30quid for a bottle of wine with 2 Sunday lunches. 😁 Xx

Lovely location overlooking the water. Plenty of seating in and out. All looks clean and well looked after. Can order at the bar - was quite a big que though but can order via the app at your table for table service which seemed quicker than most places offering same service.
Decent selection of food, I would say it's a little greesy but not overly so .
B. W.
Really upset to have received a parking charge letter for £100 after parking at this pub and having food here. It didn't even occur to me to look for signs to park in a pub car park! If that's the policy then staff really need to ask every customer they serve if they have any parking tickets to validate as I had no idea. Very annoyed.
Otherwise, I enjoyed the food. It didn’t take too long to be served either which was good. Just a shame about the parking situation. I've upped the review to a 3 stars as I liked the food but still feel quite upset about the situation in general.
P. G.
Large choice of vegetarian and vegan and surprisingly the food was very tasty. No table service unfortunately but worth it for selection taste and price of meals. Not the sort of pub I'd normally visit but was impressed by the food.

Delightful canalside location
Stopped off for a few pints and noticed several reviews regarding slow service
Ordered via Green king app and waited 22minutes. Good job i ordered double save waiting next time
Staff dont seem bothered about clearing used tables either. The dirty dishes in my picture were left by barman and sat there for over an hour
G. S.
Went to a private party. Food (buffet very nice). Unfortunately not enough bar staff when the pub was busy early on 7.30ish. It may be a shortage of staff but it needs sorting out.
A. D.
Great pub on the edge of the water - certainly living up to its name! We sat and had a pint outside in the sunshine and it was good to watch the boats going in and out. Following that there’s a lovely walk over the bridge next to the water that you can take and then cut left into town. The menu has some great deals for food as well. Will be back if we are in the are again.
C. W.
Good pub grub. Generous portions, quick service, good prices. Friendly staff. The seating areas are nicely arranged. In a nutshell good troff if you are hungry. I especially liked the cajun chicken skewers.
d. a.
Had a full English breakfast can't say it was one of the best I've ever had, it used to be a lovely place to eat but just recently seems like the foods not up to Quality sometimes, can't say it about everything because some of the meals have been nice I guess it just depends what day you go in and what you decide to eat! me personally can't say I'll be rushing back their anytime soon.
A. B.
2 nights on the trot I went waters edge the food was very good and as it was a very pleasant evening we sat outside enjoyed the food the settings and the staff were very warm and friendly, keep it up folks.
S. M.
What a lovely family friendly pub, great location on the canal it was so relaxing to just sit and watch the boats go by. Great breakfast as well.
G. V.
Nice place. Definitely in for game nights. Always nice NAD exciting meals. Portion of meals are amazing. Can satisfy heavy eaters like me as well on a single dish. Only down side was flavours are slightly different than expected. Nothing major on that but had better flavours at other places. A small critic but definitely a worth visit for weekend lunch meals.
A. A.
Excellent family based restaurant...surplus food...big portions.....tasty too.... Great ales too..best place for a laid back.....superb customer service....
J. M.
Great food and really easy to order from the app. Service is always quick and the staff are friendly! Good for a meal or just a few drinks
S. F.
Called in for breakfast as a spur of the moment kind of thing. Full breakfast, nice and hot, cooked just right with the most amazing buttered toast. Good, friendly service. Will definitely do this again 👍
C. N.
Better than my local Hungry Horse. Food is good.
m.
Nice place but all frozen food. like I don't think any actual cooking takes place
S. P.
Great food, generous portions and a great price. We had an amazing time and will definitely come next time we visit the area!
C. R.
Hungry Horse pubs are pretty standard, however, the Water Front was both quick and very clean.
Staff were helpful - especially the Assistant Manager who helped us to make the maximum value from our Tesco vouchers.
The food was tasty and perfectly cooked. Quantities were generous but not wasteful.
It is well worth planning visits around the various offers they have each day - helps your money go much further.
C. D.
Brilliant Sunday dinner. Great prices.
N. W.
Great for food and drinks ,good quality and decent prices, family friendly with an outdoor play area.
M. B.
Customer service was great and told me about saving money on the special so I saved money however the plant based burger could of been better and just more effort with food
S. P.
Great food, generous portions and a great price. We had an amazing time and will definitely come next time we visit the area!
R. M.
It was little bit noisy can't complain though as it was Friday night. Service is excellent prices are affordable and very cool place to hangout especially to catch pokeballs
C. F.
The food is reliably good and the staff helpful as always. I've updated my review to reflect the changes here. A clean and well kept premises. Thank you x
S. F.
Called in for breakfast as a spur of the moment kind of thing. Full breakfast, nice and hot, cooked just right with the most amazing buttered toast. Good, friendly service. Will definitely do this again 👍
J. S.
I absolutely love coming waters edge! Especially on a Monday evening when Jadey & Shyama are working! The food is amazing just like the staff they always start my week off right 😌
D. S.
Nice food price's very good you get quite a lot on your plate. Staff are very friendly, yes I would recommend the waters Edge.
m.
Nice place but all frozen food. like I don't think any actual cooking takes place
A.
The service and girl behind the bar were great, the food was a little overpriced and a little undercooked.
L. H.
The beer is a good price, atmosphere good and staff friendly. Only thing letting it down is that the Sunday dinner wasn't worth the money. Other than that an all round good experience!
M. H.
Prompt service by friendly attentive staff. Big plate chicken tikka was lovely. Can't fault two for 12 pounds! X
r. c.
good food and drink very relaxing
J. K.
nice pub very nice food and a safe good area for children to play
N. H.
The quiz was fantastic and the quiz master is so cool. I love this place. This is the best place on earth.
They serve
J. P.
Lovely food, attentive staff, would definitely recommend.
R. O.
Good food, reasonably priced. Staff cheerful and efficient, nice atmosphere
E. G.
Not too shabby. Food was fine, didn't get any sauce though. Had the fajita burger and the nachos were like crispy slices of samosa pastry. Interesting. Would go again as part of a stroll by the canal.
*.
The food was good. And the staff were really helpful. A bit noisy when the merry folk came in from outside. But not a bad place to go. I hear its better in the afternoon on a weekday.
R. H.
The staff were very accommodating and understanding (parking machine was broken) it's a nice place if you like sitting on a canal and watching the boats go by. The reason for 3 stars is because we was there for an hour and the table next to us was full of dishes when we got there and when we left.
T. R.
Excellent food! Really good vibes, perfect for breakfast and affordable prices!
J. D.
Food was good.service good
D. F.
Fantastic place to eat, childrens playground seating near the canal nice on a summers day
K. B.
Had the Sunday best burger 👌 wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was. Its was beautiful :) definitely recommend
S. G.
Fantastic starter, but our meal was 45mins wait and my mix grill wasn't the best I've had. Unfortunately the cost of a shandy is £4.90 as is most standard drinks, that is frankly ridiculous to say it is a glass of lemonade and a squirt of beer. Overall it was okay
C.
Good food, good range, great location right next to the canal
S. B.
Food was amazing and the staff was so polite, had a perfect experience and will definitely be returning soon
P. A.
The food is nice and well priced and the staff are helpful and friendly.
O. S.
Lovely beer right next to the canal, staff were busy and pleasant. We only stayed for a couple of pints and a sharing Plato, food came out quickly and was on point. Outside could do with a freshen up, bit of paint etc. Will be back soon.
J. M. J.
The pub is at such a lovely location. I hope we caught them on a bad day as the service was slow, we were warned that there would be a half an hour wait for food. A lot of empty tables were not cleared, some of the staff looked like they were really not motivated.
Its a shame - if the experience was great we would have returned frequently, living so close to it.
M. S.
Visited this place for a few times now either for food or just drinks. Inside the pub is divided into two areas one of them is a family area and the other is an over 18s area. Both areas have bar's and several TV's. Outside there is a kids playground area (with slides, etc) and several tables next to the canal. It's really nice to sit outside on a sunny day and watch geese and narrowboats passing by. Food was always served fast or in a reasonable amount of time. There quite a few options available but nothing out of the ordinary that you would expect from a pub. I liked the food there but I can't say it's amazing or the best. Overall it's a nice place to go with your family and/or friends.
a. m.
Disappointed to say the least , on arrival looked promising was seated at a sticky ya le with no am clean sign , went to move to the next one which had a sign but was Just as bad .
Ordered on app so no problem there . starters came no cutlery .
Chicken pie and steak pie are both horrible would never order again .
My husband n son had burgers we ok .
Left with no goodbye or prob never noticed we had gone.
Place was really really quiet so service should have been on top form .
J. H.
Lovely pub on the canal. Amazing food and drinks. Definitely recommend especially in the summer
C. N.
Better than my local Hungry Horse. Food is good.
J. F.
Lovely sitting out in the sunshine with fabulous food
E. K.
Great service , lovely pub, fun times x
A. B.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, good social distancing practices in place. Bit of a queue if you want to order at the bar rather than using the App, or you wanted to pay with the Great British Pub gift card, but you didn't have to wait for long. Also used the App to order drinks - easy to use and drinks were at the table within minutes. Food was good and plentiful. Can recommend this public house.
J. G.
Don't normally write reviews but was so disappointed I feel I need to.
Went for a Saturday tea yesterday 5th sept. Wasn't to busy and got A table straight away. Explained all the social distancing etc great.
Ordered at the bar no problem.
Food had arrived before the drinks. Wed waited at least half an hour.
My jacket potato was cold and sizzler plates Luke walm!. My husband's mixed grill was swimming in greece. Very disappointed tbh
C. W.
Went in the first week of social distancing opening and the team were amazing. Despite people moaning, they calmly explained the rules and kept smiling. Plus, the food was the best it's ever been. Will happily return soon. Great to see some vegan options too, as well as the huge meat plates... Something for everyone.
C. D.
Brilliant Sunday dinner. Great prices.
I. O.
The very friendly environment is complemented by the availability of outside seating. The staff seemed a little but under pressure but they were always smiling, polite and friendly. The cuisine is on a traditional pub menu and what we ordered came fairly quickly and it was to our liking. Pricewise it is a reasonable place to have lunch or dinner and its value added is its standing on the canal. All ages were visiting and seemed to be enjoying the location and the view. It has all the necessary COVID-19 measures in place. All in all I recommend it as we had a very nice time with good pub food.
C. M.
Stood waiting at the, 'to be seated' post near the door for about 13 minutes and told twice by the woman who was obviously pressured that she'll be, "just a second" but she let us have a table that we didn't book so we didn't mind. The food was delish and delivered to the table in decent time. The drinks took a bit longer hence a back log which is understandable but worth the wait. Nice pub. Green King over Wetherspoon all day every day. You'll never find me in one of Tim Martin's pubs ever again.
L. G.
Wow, wow, wow excellent since its been taken over. First thing I noticed was how immaculately clean everywhere was, when we arrived for breakfast (didn't book) we was greeted by friendly staff who reminded us to do our car reg for the car park, then track & trace. We ordered a big breakfast with drinks included for the same price as Wetherspoons, but got served double the amount with quality products. Service was quick & they were quite busy. Couldn't find fault, especially with everywhere having to be so Covid secure at the moment, whilst this was evident it wasn't in our faces, so we felt relaxed & not herded. You will definitely be seeing us again. Thanks
T. G.
food was really good and staff were friendly
M. P.
Lovely pub, nice settings. Unfortunate dining experience. A lot of soft drinks unavailable and only one choice for sugar free drinks....... not great for a family pub. Some of the food that we ordered wasn't cooked to well.
However the service staff were great, in particular the front of house who was very friendly.
P. M.
Starters were fine. Ordered Sunday lunches had to wait and when it arrived it was overcooked. Ordered a sundae for desert according to the menu with slices of peach and pears. Turned out to be square fruit from a tin. Disappointing
A. P.
Good customer service friendly staff good food
M. W.
tables were dirty but overall really good service and food
C. M.
My first time at this pub, I've always wanted to come here but somehow it's taken me years to do so. It won't be my last visit!
When we arrived we were made to feel welcome and the host clearly explained the procedures for ordering etc.
I was impressed with the menu as other places I've been to during the covid outbreak seem to have severely cut down on meal choices. This place easily had double the choice. Although, when I went to place my order, my choice of meal was unavailable. However, I did have a second choice so I wasn't too disappointed.
The meals arrived within 15 minutes and were piping hot. The only thing was that the kitchen had forgotten to add the macaroni cheese to my loaded fries. This was fully rectified within a minute.
We really did enjoy our meal, it was certainly plentiful and really very tasty.
The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 is because most of the desserts were unavailable with only 3 out of approximately 9 advertised. I was very disappointed as I was really looking forward to the syrup sponge and custard! Instead I ordered apple crumble. It was tasty and not too sweet, however, mine was quite cold in certain mouthfuls and hot in others. Obviously microwaved but not for long enough. I still ate it tho!
All in all it was a very nice meal, set in a nicely decorated venue with good seating arrangements.
The staff here are good too and were very attentive to our needs.
Will come back. Soon! And maybe I will be able to give this place the full 5 stars!
J. N.
Staff were lovely. Good great. Really relaxing time
K. H.
We were there for post match teas after hockey. Drink service at the bar was good, nice atmosphere, food was okay, not great but not bad.
G. K.
It's a great place for a relaxed drink or food with friends and family. Wallet friendly too!
M. M. W.
Your standard pub experience really. Food is cheap, pints aren't too expensive and the staff is friendly and taking care to always abide by the covid rules. There's not much more to say about it really, if you fancy a trip to the pub this'll do nicely for the evening.
M. M.
Amazing food and service very happy :)
P. A.
Fine. Pleasant widerside environment and a nice burger and sides but the pub is still a rusty with the new online order system.
The staff were very pleasant and friendly but didn't seem to have much help in a very busy pub environment and service was a little slow and sometimes a little confused due to the online order system.
My shandy took about 30mins to arrive. It first appeared as a full strength beer, on challenging this it appearing again around 10 mins later, .......as a full strength beer again. (Normally I'd have gladly had this but was driving) Third time is a charm? 10mins layer a small lemonade appeared(!) My fears I would continue be brought each constitute part of a shady including hops and wheats were resolved when a nice shandy arrived!
All taken in good humour by us and the staff but perhaps avoid if you are in a rush
J. L.
Slow service but guess that's due to staff shortage.
Had chicken skewers. Chicken spongy so low grade but otherwise ok
S. B.
The old Baltimore Diner under new management. Just visited for a couple of pints(good quality Abbot) and a sit with the ducks and geese at the canalside. Quiz night inside and food looked good.
P. B.
Millie, Adam, Hayley and "Karl" can I just say as a first time visitor well done. We stumbled by walking from the city to Beeston. Food was great and sorting out my Wife's double app accidental order was smooth and you even had the champions league final to contend with awesome service. Big shout out to Millie for getting the geese back in the canal.
F. P.
The lady at the bar was super friendly and helpful, and the food was really good. Great value for money too!
S. '. P.
Ordered at the table and food came really quickly even for a Saturday evening. Food was very nice. Onion rings were delicious
A. T.
The seating looked quite worn. Staff were nice.Food was fine although a little slow. Notice outside read "Under New Management "
D. M.
Lovely setting alongside the canal. Table service was ok. Not enough staff for a busy lunch period. Food was better than expected.
A. A.
Lovely meal and polite service.
H. A.
Called for a drink. Tables not cleared from lunchtime. Tired carpet and decorations. Just had a drink overlooking the canal. Plenty of outdoor seating.
O. M.
nice scenic area, however the hostess who wasn’t wearing a name tag but was noticeable because of her red trousers seemed very unwelcoming which made the experience less enjoyable. however the other staff were very kind, i wish she could take a leaf from their book.
D. J.
The are always have smile on there face and make you feel welcome
V. B.
Food good, great that they have an over 18 eating bit, nice not to have kids around you if you choose not to. Only problem was waiting time to be served and it wasn't overly busy, actual service and servers great once ordered
M. P.
Great place for a bite to eat with family members.
E. G.
Had a excellent visit the staff was amazing could see they were trying the hardest even when busy the food came out piping hot even though there was a wait management was excellent can’t wait to come back
P. H.
Great for a nice hearty breakfast to set the day off.👍👍👍👍👍
J. D.
Very tidy place with very friendly staff. The food was quite good for the price and the ale I had was evidently well kept.
C. M.
Always great food here. Good setting and mostly proactive and friendly staff. Been plenty of times, recommend it and will be back.
M. G.
Lovely food friendly staff and place
M. D.
Nice bar staff.helpfull found it clean nice food.
M. S.
Great place for meals and drinks fantastic polite friendly staff and service 10 put 10
L. C.
Great place to eat good food, good atmosphere and friendly staff.
V. H.
Good location.Ample refundable paid parking. Average customer service. Prolonged waiting time for food with served product not matching menu pictures. Cleanliness needs improvement along with curbing smoking in the open ( spoils fellow customer experience). Food servers shouting orders out loud despite knowing table numbers creates a feeling of being in a cheap establishment.
L. S.
Often a nice atmosphere in this pub with friendly staff which makes it ideal for a game of pool and drinks with friends. The food deals are brilliant. The battered cod and haloumi is absolutely wonderful and the chips are cooked to perfection. Low prices especially if you look at the daily deal options mean this place is perfect. sports is also shown on a number of large TVs.
S. G.
It's been a while since we've been there, a bit disappointed as things need repairing and looks a bit shabby! Service was good , didn't have to wait too long for food and drinks .
J. H.
Lovely area. Don't know how to cook a steak mind and service is v slow when busy. I'd gan for sommit chickeny and order a few pints at a time. Cheers
J. A.
Not over impressed with this 'chain' bar/ restaurant Great central setting overlooking the canal and marina so potential is great. Found the building / car park / furniture and general environs scruffy hence only 3 stars and not 4. Front of house cleanliness re drinks and food however appeared good. Food service was on the slow side particularly as it was mid week lunch service. Food was good. Choice of real / casque ale available was limited. The pint I had was ok though. Menu was extensive and one vegetarian amongst our party found things to eat. A plus was they provided a ' doggy bag' for one of our party.
s. p.
food is excellent the staff are well mannerd and provide excellent service
M. H.
Very nice place, friendly staff & variety of good food at a reasonable price for kids & adults, plus reasonable priced drinks with great views of the canal & canal boats
T.
Fantastic food and staff the scampi whilst a simple dish is very easy to get wrong if its under/overcooked mine was perfect and the portion size was immense. The deal was insane too mine and the wifes food bill was £7!!! insane.
B. W.
Nice pub in a nice location. Didn't have any food so can't comment but the staff seemed very pleasant
T. S.
Have been visiting this pub now for over 20 years, we went for a meal there a couple of weeks ago and the food was lovely no complaints there at all.
The problem came a few days after the meal when we received a letter to say that we had a parking fine for not paying and displaying in the car park. Apparently you need to take the parking ticket to the bar where you get a refund for the parking when you place your food order. We wasn’t aware this was now the process, we didn’t notice any signs saying this, we wasn’t told either when purchasing the meal!! We have explained to Britannia (who served the notice) that we would of paid and displayed had we been aware but no joy the parking charge notice still stands.
We are really disappointed with this outcome and such a shame as the food was lovely but won’t be visiting again now as a £30 meal
Has now cost £90!!!!!
C. S.
Cheap and cheerful.. Lovely staff.
r. b.
Nice food and staff were nice x
g. b.
Very nice place it as been refurbished a lot better now good menu a little bit pricey now
A. B.
Great food, friendly service at a very reasonable price - what's not to like
A. F.
Visited last night with my family, was a wonderful experience and food was amazing value for money. Happy and friendly staff, was served at the bar and had our meals brought out by Dillon who did everything he could to make sure we were happy and had no issues. Great food with a wide range of choices, great atmosphere and cheap!
L. N.
Very nice food and friendly staff
S. T.
Quite a nice pub with a good garden. Didn't eat here but had some drinks and everyone seemed friendly enough and we were told all about the covid measures and where everything was. My and elder daughter liked it as well.
A. W.
Great service and I've been coming for years. Great food and portion size. Lovely seating area outside in summer. Lost the star for tables being sticky but otherwise great eat for the layman.
L. S.
This is a lovely place to come and eat. It is situated on the canal not far from the marina. The staff were extremely professional and polite. The food was of good quality and was served in a reasonable amount of time too. There is a good variety of food to choose from anf also including vegetarian meals. The only criticism i have is that the car park isn't very big considering that it's a decent sized pub but there is a pizza hut next door that you could park on and walk over. I would definitely visit this pub again to spend a couple of hours in, to have something to eat, drink and chill.
D. A.
Cheap beer, friendly atmosphere, nice views over the river/canal
Choice was a little limited and the food although decent enough for the price could have been better.
Covid measures seemed in full force. Would go back
M. “. L.
Just lack of help from staff, waited for staff to help with the menu, but lack of staff around and someone did say they would come over to me, but never did, then I had an enquiry about a vegetarian option and had to wait 10mins for them to get back to me with an answer.. Most staff very friendly and food was great
R. B.
Lovely view and beer. Value food. But tables should be cleared before new customers arrive please.
T. H.
Very nice place and it good were we sat as you could see the River Trent.. the only thing is that the main course could be hotter
S. P.
Dart board out of order somehow. But still liked it.
T. C.
Great place great food. Nice polite helpful staff
D. M.
One of the best outdoor views with food served watching the river and boats. Also has kids play area. Swings climbing frame and more..
J. J.
Nice location next to the canal. Great food reasonable prices. Comfortable setting inside with a cosy atmosphere
J. D.
Staff really nice and helpful ,but waited half an hour just to get to the bar to order took the piss, more staff should have been behind helping taking separate drink/food orders..
E. C.
They didn't have the drinks we wanted and the service is slow. It's cheap however so good for a casual evening.
H. D.
Food portion sizes are large. Quick service. Food can make you feel tired as when eat a lot. But good as a once in a blue moon. Probably not the healthiest daily. Parking ticket can be reimbursed on purchase of food and drinks
P. R.
Good value, a little busy when we went. We enjoyed the steak, but not the chips. The bar was well stocked. Parking charges reimbursed, make sure to pay and display. Lovely setting by the canal.
G. W.
Beautiful scenery in the Summer. Production Quality food of high standard and very reasonable prices...o...check out the daily special offers. Well worth a visit :-)
V. P.
Jacob was brilliant in taking care of what we needed. Absolutely brilliant service and a pleasure to deal with. Will be back soon thanks to him!
D. R.
Nice pub with great pub food. We like seating outside on sunny days. Staff is nice and helpful
l.
Lovely atmosphere. Very accommodating staff. Great pricing on a good variety of food. Perfect location.
V. G.
Very good service, busy pub, very nice food. Can be a bit of a wait on food when it's busy but always perfect quality.
s. l.
Lovely sunny Mother's Day spent here.
C. G.
Excellent food and service set in pleasant surroundings near the canal. Recommend.
I. M.
Good location and parking. You have to pay to park but can claim back at the bar with your order. Food is very reasonably priced with good potions. Large menu of standard pub food items.
R. B.
This place is a decent example of a good hungry horse pub. The food is inexpensive and generous. There are plenty of offers on, which change day by day. The service is not the best, but still as one would expect for a value pub. The decor is ok and there's plenty of seating. There is an outdoor play area for the younger generation and you can sit beside the canal with drinks or food on hot summers day.

L. C.
Tasty food and very clean place, and oh, generous portions!
V. D.
A great place for a typical pub grub meal. Family friendly with kids play area.
N. H.

C. T.
What a lovely place for a family meal. 5 star service and 5 star food. 100% we will be visiting again
S. S.
Quite a nice place but does take forever to get served at the bar, even though there wasn't that many people and quite a few staff, the food smelt lush so we'll be back to eat
M. W.
Fantastic efficient service and the food was amazing highly recommend will definitely be back again and again :)
J. R.
Had a wonderful evening here tonight. Came as a big group to celebrate my mums 51st birthday. All had a great time. A big thank you to the assistant manager (blonde haired lady, didnt catch her name). Food was brilliant, very happy people.
M. B.
Experience was OK .
But staff ( no where ) to be seen, service very slow, and one male member of staff was very rude to my daughter...HE WASNT very clear ON what we should do which confused us after booking and reading the rules. ....
E. H.
Good onion rings, which is a must have in my book. The location is pretty nice too, what with being by the water.
C. W.
Great food great staff
S. F.
Lovely location, but obviously short staffed. Food over done, waited a long time for it, but when I mentioned it to the staff they did try and put things right with desserts on the house, even though the ice cream was served on a dinner plate rather than a dish!
N.
Really nice bar with nice polite friendly staff and over looking a beautiful waters edge
j. w.
Lovely food and fantastic staff. Highly recommended.
j. m.
Very slow service waited over 20 minutes for ice cream and had to ask for my money back the place was less than half full otherwise the food was okay nothing special though
K. M.
Great staff, great food, great hospitality.

Great priced meals. Good food & service
L. P.
Good tasty, cheap pub food. Good range of veggie options and a few vegan ones available too. The bar serves a good range of drinks at reasonable prices.
S. L.
Used to go to this place very often. Decent food, decor and fairly nice atmosphere. A little busy for my taste but nevertheless.
I would not go anymore now that they've introduced the parking fees.
Z. C.
Food was really nice and really reasonably priced, too many "make sure you've paid your parking" signs everywhere, these too presidence over offers they had on...( 1 in the toilet, 3 on the bar, 3 on the door, 2 on our table)
Toilets were not exactly hygienic.
Parking on site as have anpr camera (£1 for up to an hour, £2 up to 3 hours, £3 up to 6 hours ect) which can be refunding when you pay your bill
A. N.
Very friendly staff. Good prices for good food and good amounts of food. Beautiful decor and an outside play area for children with a gorgeous view of the canal.
E. P.
Good place for a drink and food, sometimes the food can be hit or miss as once it was cold and clearly microwaved but sometimes its really nice, just depends what you order. Food is really cheap too especially with 2 for 1 and other offers making it worth it. Would recommend
G. B.
Great place you sit in the sun & great food, service was very slow tho
S. M.
Food was hot and fresh, staff polite and friendly a really good full English
s. l.
Lovely food reasonable prices 4 adult meals and drinks 45 quid very reasonable

Very pleased with all the covid rules that are in place. The app to order and pay is ok but does not take into account if you have a gift card, then you have to go to the bar to order and pay.
P. N.
Had breakfast it was very nice and hot deffo go back there again staff were lovely
A. E.
Nice place to sit outside in the summer as it's right by the lake. Good choice of good priced food.
A. P.
Nice pub on the river and a variety of food. Not the best quality however but you get what you pay for.
R. S.
Excellent hungry horse pub on the canal side. Service was fantastic and superbly fast. Good range of food and drink at reasonable prices. Lots to do for kids as well as an over 18 only area. Good for everyone.
B. S.
Nice food done well and not masivly expensive. availability of conderments was a bite of an issue but staff sorted us out ok just felt they we're a bit stretched. But might of just been a busy time of evening. Table's could of been clearer but again they seemed a bit stretched for staff.
P. M.
Menu got a bit better so I eat there more often now. Lack of staff also the cooking has got a bit bad I've had at least two bad meals since the last time I went there
A. B.

c. l.
Not bad place for a meal and a catch up with friends and family
M. H.
Nice pub. It was rather busy the night we went. It does have a good selection of pub food. Good burgers as well as some more healthy options to satisfy. The prices were good and not too expensive. Not too many staff around and as such you tended to be left to tidy up a bit. No complaints about the food however. Good selection of beers both on tap and in fridge.
A. D.
Nice place, food came hot and tasted good. Parking available which is reasonably priced and refunded at the bar when ordering. Staff are friendly and helped with requests.
Play area on the side for kids and tables at the back next to the canal.
E. O.

We were visiting Nottingham and impulsively visited the Water Edge. Great ambiance and lovely food. My only complaint was that the service was slow. Will definitely visit again when I am next in Nottingham. 👌👍
J. G.
Love it.
Really great place to sit outside with 2 large dinners and 2 drinks on a sunny summer afternoon.

Food was good, puds were a bit cold and took around half an hour+ to come. Toilets were terrible. Disgusting, could really do with more spot checks and cleaning no loo roll etc.

W. S.
Food and service great! Highly recommended.

Dinner with a friend, good value for money on the food and quick service even though it was very busy. Only downside was the price of the non- alcoholic drinks and as I was driving had no alternative but to pay it.
G. M.
The waters edge food was fabulous for the price and very filling for two or more
Nice bar staff and a good selection of drinks

Visited the waters edge today, lovely food, friendly service and love the new look to the place.
P. W.
It is what it says it is. Food was good, lots of it, and service was fast, which was what we needed. Tables could have been cleaner!
S. H.
Good food, outside area not very clean at all though
J. “. L.
Parking is daft as you have to stand in the rain and buy a ticket or get fined foods not bad to be honest but the menus edges of tables and baby seats are covered in dry food remnants and is a big time health hazard so take anticeptic wipes
D. N.
Huge plate of food. Served within 10 minutes. Hot and tasty. Fantastic price. Pleasant staff.....what's not to like!
N. B.
Food was lovely, nice location will go again :)
A. N. F.

Long wait (over an hour) for our food. But the food was good. Too much ice in the drinks.
The toilets were absolutely disgusting.
R. S.
Excellent place for drinks and food. Great outdoor seating near the canal. Good play area for kids. Good selection of food and beverages.
D. R.
Good food, good service, good prices

Lovely place to go both in the summer and winter. Tend to go with work for Friday lunch in the summer and on special occasions and always have a nice time there. Good range of drinks and the food is good and proper pub food. Deals are very good as well (lots of us like the burger with a drink for £1 deal). Overall an enjoyable and decent place to go.
A. U.
Was nice, came down from Newcastle. I think it would have been better if it was sunny, but it was still a vibe.

I had heard good things about the food in this place, and hats off it was all true, I had a cracking big Mac and fries in the car park, all washed down with a can of vintage special brew.
A. E.
Great pub but asked for rare steak it arrived medium and chicken was a bit dry but great in sunny weather outside seating next to the canal

food was all right, I really love the new menu, but the staff wasn't really as welcoming as I expected. Excluding a young blonde girl from the bar which seemed to be new, but she did her best and I really appreciated her effort
S. B.
Lovely pub by canal, food great very reasonable prices
J. C.
Been visiting here every Sunday for at least 9 years. Staff very friendly. Don't visit 11/9 to 27/9/17 as they will be closed for refurbishment
A. R.
For a restaurant it smelt more like a pub. The tables were sticky.
On the plus side plenty of parking and easy to access. The food tasted good at reasonable price.
