This place is huge!! It's got plenty if seating and dining areas, and have a really great atmosphere.
Even when some pubs may be struggling to get people through the door, this place was still really busy (I've no doubt still a lot quieter than it would like for the time of year though).
The fact it was still busy, though, is a testament to what they have.
Even outdoors has huge heaters, so no danger of feeling cold.
Update (as have now been a 2nd time!). The food is amazing!! So much quality food to choose from, and all presented immaculately. The service was perfect, too. It's definitely worth a visit.

Exceptional Sunday dinner!
Always book as this place is really popular and there’s a very good reason why.
Excellent service and the food is alway delicious. At £16 for a beef Sunday roast (and extra for sides such as cauliflower cheese) it’s definitely on the pricy side but for a special treat it’s well worth the money.
Never a bad experience.

Good service, great staff, slightly above the usual pub grub, both in terms of cost and quality.
I had the Sriracha chicken burger. A bit pricy (well, it is Wollaton), but perfectly fine. The Eton Mess was unusual in that it contained Clementines and pistachio, but very good.
Lots of outdoor seating, and free carpark.

I visited here for the first time on 20 June 21. My partner and I both ordered the vegetarian Sunday lunch: Butternut squash and sweet potato roast with roast potatoes, bashed swede and carrot mash, savoy cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Each meal cost £13.
There was some slight confusion with the online booking but the Supervisor (the lady with the straight blonde hair and boots) was excellent, she welcomed us and found us a table with zero fuss (thank you!).
The app was easy to use for ordering (if you wish to customize your order, simply speak to a staff member).
We sat inside and, even though it was very busy, the place is so big, it didn't feel packed. The pub is very comfortable and includes leather sofas.
The food was delicious. The vegetarian roast was hearty, the cabbage perfectly cooked, the roast potatoes were super-crunchy and finished with garlic (which worked brilliantly with the rest of the meal). The Yorkshire pudding was perfect, crispy on the outside and velvety in the middle.
All credit to the kitchen staff. That they can knock out perfect Sunday lunches to such a large and busy pub is a testament to their skills. Well done.
Pro-tip: you have the option to order an extra Yorkshire pudding on the app. Do it! You won't regret it!
Also, from what I saw and experienced, the Supervisor is very good at her job.
I look forward to visiting again very soon.

Cannot fault the food (Sunday roast), large portion sizes and really tasty. Just felt a bit rushed. We knew when we booked that we had a certain time slot, but were reminded of this 3 times during our meal. With 20 minutes to go, they were cleaning the table around us. Appreciate how busy Sundays must be, but just didn't feel very relaxing at a customer.

On new year's eve my family held a wake here for after my uncles funeral. The staff were nothing but excellent and catered for our every need. They made a very emotional day that little more easy. The food was excellent and the service at the bar was very good.
A. M.
Had a fantastic family meal (12 of us in total). Great communication from start to finish via email.
Both food and service was excellent and a huge shout out to Maddie who was our waitress. We are booked again for 2 weeks time.

1st time back in a couple of years, food still pretty good and decent service, beginning to look a little tired.
I have to make note that the toilets have been neglected and needs some proper cleaning and maintenance. Not dirty but not a nice loo to use.

Booked a table for lunch a few days ago and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was delicious, piping hot and very pleasing to the eye. The staff were excellent, catering for all our requirements and not rushing us at all. We will definitely make this a regular place to attend.
P. C.
Had a family lunch, food was high quality, great service and excellent staff. Recommended

Well positioned, lovely outside area, a bit dark inside. Staff are lovely. Food is standard and expensive but always well cooked and presented. I miss the chips how they used to cook them.

Best way to see a sunset, other then a tropical beach !
Good food and service...

We have visited this pub on many occasions and it has always been a lovely experience. This time was quite stressful, the pub and restaurant were very busy, we were encouraged to use the app because of this. After waiting 20 minutes for drinks I approached the bar, only to be told ‘don’t bother using the app’ we had already ordered food via the app. The food arrived 30 minutes later, we had to send it back as it was incorrect. Whilst I appreciate they were extremely short staffed, the service wasn’t great. There didn’t seem to be any communication between staff members, which in turn lead to lots of confusion. Needless to say we left after being there for over an hour.. hungry 👎🏻

This is a pleasant enough pub and restaurant to visit having been there previously on a number of occasions. Unfortunately, on this particular time of going there were one or two shortfalls in service that lowers the rating I can give.
We decided to use their app to order our food and drinks. The app is reasonably user-friendly to use and worked well enough. Ordering two Sunday roast type meals, and a soup starter and drinks, when the food turned up, it arrived all together. The soup was clearly meant to be a starter, and I guess it should have made sense to the person who got the order that that would be the case. And if not, someone could’ve come over and checked to see if the soup wasn’t wanted as a starter. It wasn’t the greatest inconvenience to come over because we were seated only about 20 feet from the bar.
Therefore, it was either a choice of eating the soup and letting the main meal go cold, or trying to get things changed from that point on. We stuck with it. There was also no offer of any condiments being brought over following the food being put on the table. We thought naturally that the person would come back with those but they didn’t. So no mustard, no mint sauce, no horseradish sauce et cetera.
The food itself was nice enough, but the soup arrived with heavily buttered bread, which for me, made the bread inedible, as I hate buttered bread. I suppose the assumption is made that everybody likes their bread drowning in butter, but not everybody does. In fairness, I suppose I could’ve put that I wanted unbuttered bread in the comment section on the app before the food was brought to the table. Having ordered soup starters in many other places, it is very typical to have the bread without butter as it reaches the table. That allows people who like butter to have the choice of putting it on, and people who don’t, to eat it as it comes.
Usually a very good experience here, but for the reasons stated above, an average one yesterday. The pub wasn’t particularly busy either, so no excuse really on that front for them. Cost was £56 for two roasts, some soup, a smallish glass of wine (supposed to be large for over £8). A bottle of wine would’ve provided about four to five of these at least. Plus a small Diet Coke in a bottle. Not great value for me, either.

Always a nice place to visit, decent beers and good food. Allows dogs in bar area so somewhere to unwind from a day out with the dog at Wollaton park. Not the cheapest though.
P. W.
Nice place, friendly staff and very good food. A bit pricey but well worth it.
R. P.
Absolutely lovely staff, incredibly dog friendly and a great selection of beers and ales. I've gone a couple of weekends in a row now and have been incredibly impressed on both occasions.
J. C.
Me and my girlfriend were at a lecture in Wollaton We'd Feb 2nd so decided to pop in to three pubs. The last of the evening, beautiful place, great drinks and great bar staff. Men's toilet could be better though. Other than that lively bar/restaurant.
R. W.
Not sure why we haven't visited before since very local to me!
I celebrated my 50th here with the family and the food was absolutely beautiful and faultless. I had the fish and chips and oh gosh it was gorgeous and cooked to perfection.
Others had burgers and the steak and again gorgeous.
What I will say is the staff were absolutely great, attentive and very kind and professional.
Such a lovely atmosphere there. We will definitely make the Wollaton a regular for meals out in the future.
Thank you!
m. c.
Generic chain pub with outside space for drinking, some nice food served with friendly staff, but really do not need to serve chips in a wire basket and burgers on a chopping board.
k. j.
Nice food, plenty of seats outside and staff friendly and helpful
M. W.
I love the wollaton but since the re-vamp I'm not a massive fan.
Went for the Christmas dinner today. It was okay. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad.
The service was really slow - should have probably asked us pre order really. The staff were young and I wasn't overly please with the experience. They seemed nice enough it, just wasn't well organised. We arrived at 12.30. We ate our mains at 2.30pm. You get the idea.
The selection was poor and if I'm honest, neither here or there...
Overall, lovely pub; but I won't be running back in a hurry.
A. M.
Was really pleased with the vegan options here. And the staff were friendly and accommodating. There is no specific vegan menu but some menu ems can be made vegan and or gf. The beer selection is reasonable however the gin selection is really quite extensive. The atmosphere is relaxed and warm and it is a great venue for a quiet date or larger gathering.
w.
Ok.... so here's the thing. This is a pub. It's not a traditional English pub, it's a bar with a higher class attempt of good food.
The prices suggest the creme de la creme, as does the decor and the well looked after exterior. Top marks for that, first impressions mean a lot.
Then there is the but...... and it's a small but.
Sunday roast, swimming in a special gravy and the Yorkshire tasteless. It was all one colour of reddy brown and made it look terrible.... I say it's small, but when it's £14.50 you need to get a sense of its worth... not just quantity.
The bass dish looked on the other hand beautiful. However seemed over powered by the Danish blue cheese and lacked the promised element of crushed avocado and honey. As per the menu.
Service was great. Louise was very helpful and it was clear to see why the cost was high as there were so many staff.... loads. Advertising for more too....?
All in all. A good stop.... but £18 per head for a single course with drink..... load your wallet.
T. G.
10/10 delishious Sunday roast today , faultless service , very attentive couldn't ask for anything more 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
J. M. (.
Sprizingly better than I thought it might be.
I definitely make another visit; the staff were faultless, greeted me with a smile 😃 helpful and professional.
Go try them.
S. C.
Lovely breakfast with family, great service and food to match 😀
M. N.
The pub was quite nice, very fancy and the food and drink there tasted soo good, I'd definitely recommend
A. L.
Great restaurant and pub. Main courses mainly between 10 and 15 pounds. I've never had a meal here i wasn't happy with and I've been many times! Definitely better to book ahead as very popular
M. N.
Absolutely fantastic food in a beautiful pub/restaurant. Service was great! Prices were slightly higher than similar places but the quality food was well worth it!
S. M.
Covid 19 update. March 2021. Well they've pulled out all the stops and are doing takeaway Sunday dinners again plus Pie Night on Saturdays. Had a lovely Lamb dinner today. The extra large pig in blanket was donated by my daughter from her excellent chicken dinner. 😋👍
I. D.
Food and service is brilliant, had a really enjoyable evening. 😁
L. C.
Didn’t get a chance to try the pub food as they don’t serve till after 12pm but scones/cakes were lovely👌🏽menu could have more variety
R.
Great service, outdoor seating available and also tasty food & great value for money! The Pakora burger I'd recommend 😁
A. D. B.
Food is delicious and the staff is really friendly.
I certainly recommend the Sunday roast 😁
J. D.
The food was adequate I had chicken which was very good the Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were also fine. I thought that the vegetables were poor there was mashed turnip mixed with I think mashed carrot and parsnip (one flavour)and shredded cabbage. I would have preferred peas, carrots and stuffing as is traditional with chicken, my companions had different meats which were also good but the vegetables were the same as mine.
M. W.
Nice surroundings, good Guinness and the time I went in,nice and quiet so I could read the paper.
J. f.
Amazing Sunday dinners. And great drinks. Beautiful place.
A.
Travelled from Shropshire to see my son over the holiday period & he took us to the Wollaton, with his partner on the 29th. We had excellent food along with excellent service, well done guys 👍🏻
L. B.
Brilliant food as always! Decent enough service too, good atmosphere too
T. B.
I called in this public house on my way from Lincolnshire to my daughters. I found it to be a very warm cosy pub and dog yes dog friendly they also did food yes a nice place to frequent and it's close to wWoolaton Hall
j. b.
Only booked one day in advance of a surprise wedding, yet all 14 adults and 3 children were all fitted nicely around a table fit for a King and were well looked after and the food was excellent. Little more air conditioning or even a few fans in hot weather would have made it even better!
S. P.
Fabulous sunday dinner ..going to be our local .so lucky
J. N.
Great pub with friendly, helpful staff and really good food. I had a pizza and it was really outstanding. My son had the burger and was equally impressed. My first visit but I'll definitely be going again. Large outdoor area too. Highly recommended.
P. F.
Went for Sunday lunch.
Ambiance is nice.
Drinks pricier than on a cruise!!
Food was nice but touch on the expensive side for essentially a carvery meal.
£50 meal (no pudding) and drinks for two for a pub lunch.
It's ok but not a regular repeatable experience.
S. B.
Attended a wake, excellent food & service , will definitely return with my family
R. T.
Lovely pub, nice sofas, good food and choice of drinks. Dog friendly in the bar too 🐾
A. P.
Taken here for my birthday by my partner. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance. Food was lovely I had the beef patty and my partner had th salmon. Both meals were good quality food and sensible portions. Was recommended a beer by the gent serving and was very satisfied though I can't remember the name of it 🤦♂️will return for sure ,👍
T. H.
Nice food at reasonable middling price. Very busy, but waits were reasonable. Very convenient.
j.
Great time. Lovely place. Steak could be better. But it was okay
s. j.
Sunday lunch absolutely beautiful, worth paying that extra bit than your run of the mill chain pub
A. C.
It is very safe and very clean the staff are lovely and the food is excellent and so was the service.👍
H. W.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a wheelchair user and 2 dogs in the party and they made us feel very welcome. The Sunday roast was excellent. We will definitely be coming back again
T. W.
Great place to dine out and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We were surprised to see 3 horses (with their riders) in the front garden enjoying a meal out. The grass there, is also very, very tasty.
G. O.
Family of 8 for Sunday dinner. Great roast dinners. Good size and full of flavour. Nice desserts too.
i. c.
Sat outside to eat X 8 people
Bar busy as like most hospitality venues struggling with staff, but kept on top of it !!!
Food was fresh & no delay, had a mixture of the small plates along with 5 adult & 3 children's meals all home made 😋 well done guys 👍
P. P.
Dropped by in case there was an available table this afternoon. We managed to get one and had an amazing Cod, Chips and Mushy Peas late lunch. Food was just perfect, very hot, crispy batter, perfect fish. Chips crispy and peas mushy all served in a box at the table. Covid-safe environment. So enjoyed ourselves despite the rain but protected by large umbrellas outside in the garden area. Staff so efficient with smiles on their faces behind their masks. Haven't been for well over a year and can't wait to go again!!
S. C.
We had lunch here today. The food was fabulous and so were the staff. Sarah was very friendly and attentive and we had a good chat with Johan. Will definitely be visiting again. :)
A. D.
Great food, prompt table service, lovely pub. Not much more you could ask for really.
S. M.
Wasn't expecting too much from some of the photos that were published but we needed somewhere that would accept dogs.......the pork belly was exceptional and the burger definitely in house and looked amazing, can't wait till go back again....the joys of a son at University of Nottingham!
L. F.
Good food, friendly staff. Best pub in Wollaton
B. W.
It is nice enough but get the feeling the place is trying to please everyone and in the end everyone is underwhelmed. The pub down the road is more family friendly, i think itd be better if you make the wollaton aimed at couples and adults. You go there and spend a lot but there is screaming kids everywhere. Could you look at a no kids after 8pm rule? Morley Hayes do something similar and it works well.
R. S.
Not been for years as moved away from the area decent beer and atmosphere
A. C.
Met my niece and family for a birthday meal had fish & chips and eaton mess around £26 with coffee just for myself thought it was expensive normal pub food but had a lovely time. Clean toilets nice decorated would go again,
M. A. T. T. H. E. W.
A limited outdoor menu compared with the indoors one which I don't understand. They've got a nice marquee/canopy which is well sheltered but let's air flow through. My burger was a bit soggy
J. M.
Well organised. The app seems to work really quickly for drinks.
We ate from the bar menu and 2 of us had the chicken burger. Probably the best chicken burger that we've had. Absolutely delicious!
A. N.
Food is excellent. It is a bit more pricey than standard pub grub but worth every penny. Would highly recommend.
N. P.
Staff friendly and service was good, especially as they were busy. The Sunday roast was huge and delicious...the desserts were a little overpriced but so very yummy...the cheese board was amazing 👏
E. H.
Excellent food, good service and lovely atmosphere.
I can definitely recommend the sausage rolls & the pork belly, and from my family member's reactions the rest of the menu is good as well.
A. L.
Lovely atmosphere and delicious food!
D. D.
This was the first pub I have been to post lockdown. The way things are professionally layed out and the ordering online system they have set up made me feel safe.
Good beer and outside under the tent was the right balance between space and atmosphere.
J. S.
Lovely, friendly service and serves as a beer oasis whilst other local public houses are closed. There's plenty of lands and always felt comfortable and safe during Covid-times. I can't wait for the indoor hospitality to open.
G. A.
Absolutely gorgeous food and the staff are first class 🙂 be sure to book a table other wise it's a no xxx
P. M.
A nice atmosphere and a very cozy and warm on a winter's day. The beers were well kept and not a bad choice. We went in for food and as mo menus were on the tables, we checked online. After ordering, we were told the main menu wasn't available until at 5pm. We waited. I had the pork belly and it was overcooked and a little dry. A real shame as the evening menu had only just begun. The sides were very good though. My wife had the veggie pie and said it was probably the best veggie pie she had tasted. Overall a success and a great place to pop in after a stroll in Wollaton Park
S. m.
Fabulous veggie Sunday dinner... gorgeous roast potatoes. Friendly service. Great meal finished off by 200 degree coffee.
n. p.
Dog friendly pub, very nice staff. Fairly priced food and drinks. Lovely food
I.
We went for a roast dinner - I had the lamb and my partner, the beef. I love the way the vegetables are served (kale, potatoes and mash carrots) with generously poured gravy! We also had starters the fish cake and the terrine are delicious, and the portions are very generous.
M. C.
Amazing roasts and desserts and friendly service. Definitely one of the best family pubs in Nottingham.
J. H.
Really friendly staff and excellent food & drink. Relaxed atmosphere and good layout, plenty of room for both large and small groups.
L. A.
Wonderful food and right next to Wollaton Park
R. D.
Great choice of drinks, plenty of room inside and lovely food.
M. O.
Our meal was nicely cooked and very tasty. Service was good. I recommend the Eton Mess.
I. M.
This is a great pub, but sometimes the smell of urinal blocks pervades the whole bar area and all I want to do is leave. I definitely don't want to eat with that awful smell.
K. L.
I really like the atmosphere in here. I've been here a couple times and like to come back because of the feel of the place.
The food is average. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious but the pizza was lacking. I feel for the prices they charge, the food should be a little better.
g. o.
Expensive £5.50 for a pint of Estrella, dear for local pub, cheaper in town.
b. c.
Child friendly food area, but probably best to take your own kids cutlery. Food is consistently great
s.
Getting back to how it used to be, the last time, pre covid it was a little disappointing, now, busy but worth it, only four stars the car park was packed, but please book first, especially on weekends.
K. M.
Nice pub with good food and a good selection of beers, ales and other drinks available.
j. h.
Always a great Sunday roast, good service and pleasant staff .
J. B.
Very tasty food and good service.
P. T.
The fish and chips are great, yummy batter. The menu was a bit too Master Chef for me. Service was adequate and decor was nice.

Fqb outdoor eating experience (June 2021)
M. S.
Sunday lunch Dec 13th. Ordered online, paid over the phone. Went to collect at 4.30. Took it home and ate roast lamb with all the trimmings. Absolutely gorgeous. So tasty. Plenty of gravy. Yorkshire’s to die for. Simon forgot to put in our pudding but he apologised and we will pick it up next time. Thank you. Will definitely repeat
P. L.
So good we had lunch there twice in a week, very rare for us!! It was the first time we had been there since before Covid lock down and we were just as impressed as the first time. Great choice of delicious food, attentive staff, good music (in the background) and a stones throw away from Wollaton Park! You won't be disappointed. See you again soon The Wollaton!
D. H.
Went recently with a large party and kids. Couldn’t have been looked after better! Food was excellent, service was top notch, the refurb looks great. Anyone with kids will know the hassle of ordering & getting their food out quick. This was all done effortlessly. The range of food is great and a healthy selection of beers now too.
S. C.
Great service and food. Throughly recommend a visit
S. C. G.
Lovely, friendly atmosphere and great food (restaurant grade, not pub grub). Would definitely go there again 👍😁
S. A. B.
One of my favourite places to eat. They have seasonal menu which change regularly with in season vegetables and fish. Lovely pudding and starters. Fish and chips are always good choice. Good selection of wines house wine is very palatable and beers. Coffee served too.
D. W.
Booked tables and seating for walk ins is available. Food is excellent, atmosphere is comfy and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
I've only been for the roast dinners, but they have always been great, and this is our go to when we have guests.
Bar well stocked with nice wine and beers on tap and in bottles.
I'd recommend the belly pork.
Bathrooms are nice a clean.
C. J.
Ate here 3 consecutive Wednesday evenings with a group of ten. Everyone enjoyed their meals every week. Good quality food - must have a great chef! Generally food costs more than your average pub but there are always a good choice of specials at a reduced price. Great choice of real ales too making it 3 enjoyable visits.
A. S.
Food was very well cooked, well presented and tasty. For the price I would have expected a larger selection of veg. It came with carrots, potatoes and cabbage. You had to buy anything else separately from the sides menu which is a bit of a rip off in my opinion. The service was variable with the waitresses being very friendly. One seemed to be new but was obviously trying her best. The waiter who served the meals seemed very grumpy. We also had to send the sausages on one of the kids meals back as they weren't very warm which was concerning.
J. B.
Went to The Wollaton for the first time today for dinner, was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, generous portions and was presented nicely.
Worth the money for sure, we had a lovely waitress. Expect the pub/restaurant to be quick busy in the evening, it was suitably full.
I. R.
Great Sunday lunch with generous portions and really friendly and helpful staff. We came here because of it being dog friendly and it's very popular because of it. If you are thinking of coming for a Sunday lunch and bringing your four legged family member, it's advisable to book a table in advance. It gets very busy as you would expect.
Oh, and the sticky toffee pudding is worth leaving some space for....
G. A.
Just dropped in for a quick drink. Nothing bad to say but then again I only had a pint and we left, never went inside but the service was good.
J. B.
Fantastic food great staff, good drink selection in lovely building. Homely and inviting.
C. M.
Great service, very welcoming environment and lovely lovely food
H. S.
Helpful staff, good range on menu, average roasts
J. S.
For the first time I was disappointed with this place. The menu had no salad section or summer like deserts and they used to have the best burger, and as a person who lived in the US I know a good burger, this has now gone. Too many fried items too. On a hot summer night it really missed the boat and that is upsetting as it had been a fave.
A. J.
always been a good place to go for food and drinks, dog friendly in the bar and wheelchair access.
M. D.
Lovely food, great service
A. S.
Love this place... lots of outdoor seating, friendly and helpful staff and good veggie selection. Pizzas are yummy and generous kids meals. Also easy to park!
D. W.
Excellent food as always this was our first visit since they reopened and it was really good they are taking all the extra steps to keep everyone safe we ate inside and service was great you can order drinks on the website which was really easy I wouldn't hesitate to go again
D. T.
After a lovely Christmas walk around the great wollaton hall with the family today we all stopped off for a fantastic meal . We were looked after by a lovely girl who was very helpful. And as far as I know out of the 9 of us we all had a good meal .so am well happy and would definitely use again
D. A.
Enjoyed a drink here. There is a big beer garden with lots of tables etc.
The prices are good and the atmosphere was friendly but busy. They had an ale deal on with barrels available to test and try.
Well worth a visit.
J. K.
What a great Sunday roast here, the atmosphere was a little loud but all the staff were super friendly.
I got the lamb, pork and beef roast that was cooked perfectly with crackling and Yorkshire.
My only suggestion would be a side of gravy as there just wasn't enough.
N. S.
Booked a meal for 6 people. Food and service were super. Very friendly and attentive staff. Menu had a large variety of food choices. Good range of beer. Reasonably priced. Friendly and warm atmosphere at bar. Free WIFI. Sport on TV screens in bar. Booking in advanced recommended as can get very busy.
D. H.
Nice, clean and tidy premises. Good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Car park is being extended and resurfaced to hold the busy clientele. Old style building with fire places. Well worth a visit. We visited here today, early morning, for a wake, plenty of room to take the large party of people
E. C.
Staff managing covid measures amazingly. All wearing masks or shields, delivering Sunday roast efficiently and deliciously. Really impressed with my first meal out since March!
N. J.
Great atmosphere. Food was great and promptly served by very friendly staff. We were with a dog and there was lots of room for her plus 6 adults and a child. Highly recommend a visit.
S. M.
Large pub conveniently located on the outskirts of Nottingham, not far from the ring road and a few hundred metres from the main entrance to Wollaton park. Outdoor seating on the South side making it a pleasant place to sit on a sunny evening. Casual seating, plus a more restaurant type area. Large bar and standing areas. Large car park to rear. Can be busy so possibly worth calling for reservations.
N.
Overall good experience! Staff were good, food was good - though the chips tasted reheated but I've had worse! Was my first time here, and I'll be sure to visit again. Very accommodating to large groups, and groups with kids!
K. W.
Great service and amazing food.
W. E.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The wollaton burger is sooo good.
G. C.
First pub visit since lockdown! Felt very safe, friendly + helpful staff and had relaxed drinks and great main meals in the garden, absolutely just what we needed 👍 We had take away meals during lockdown from the pub but actually being back was great.
A. B.
One of the best breakfasts we have ever had in Nottingham. Eggs were cooked perfectly, plates were clean and well prepared, beer garden was very nice!
J. M.
Super good ‘pub’ pub. Yummy food, friendly atmosphere, attentive service. Have visited for Sunday lunch many times as I’d say it’s the best roast dinner in our area and have also been for lunch on a Saturday, after a walk around Wollaton Park. Will definitely be back.
F. W.
Good selection of ales, and friendly service
D. T.
Great place for lunch or dinner. They make their own bread. Ale selection is a bit limited but the food is good. A bit pricier than a standard pub, but happy to pay the extra for the quality of the food.
S. S.
Good food, friendly service.
r. b.
Waitress was lovley and food was awesome!
The seating outside was well set out and with shade too :)
B. T.
The food is good, the bar well stocked. It's used to be a little bit up itself but seems to be far more relaxed recently. They do have football on, very loud though. Outside area is nice
K. C.
Nice food and service, not too noisy. Will definately go again.
G. D.
Lovely place, really friendly staff. The menu is quite smalk and a little fancy. Food looks great but can be a bit hit and miss, I've had some amazing meals and some average ones
A. R.
Nice food, good atmosphere. It the prices have really been cranked up. Clearly they have customers to justify it but it really is pricey for a pub. Even though this is our local, we go further afield now.
Oh, and why oh why did they ever stop doing Stowford Press on tap? That was great and fitted with the whole atmosphere. I queried it at the bar at the time and they said they had at least one complaint every shift about it but they weren't allowed to talk to management about it?!
Good Sunday roast though.
k. w.
Really good pub food. Staff service is excellent too
R. L.
Average Sunday roast. Serving until 7pm but don’t bother going after 5pm as no longer fresh. Roast beef was not pink despite being offered it that way and food had been under lamps (Yorkshires tasted old) Luke warm meat. Won’t be back.

We organised our sons Christening event at Wollaton Pub and Kitchen last month. They were absolutely brilliant! Prior the event I exchanged few emails with the manager to indicate our menu, ask about decorations, ask if we I can borrow the things (like cake stand , table cloth flower vase so that we can make the room into our taste etc). They were always responding quickly and doing their best to help and ease the stress as this is our first child and first event we were organising for our little baby boy. The food was amazing, service we received just excellent. Im.more than happy from the service we received. Thank you guys!!!!
W.
Had a sunday roast here because it was renowned in the area for the quality. It was good. The portion sides were good and large the quality of meat was excellent, their own made Horseradish sauce is the best i have tastes in a long time. I had the "proper roast" and the star of the show for me was the Pork Belly it is utterly stunning. Roasties were not to my taste I like them crispy and the Yorkshire was huge however it was all very nice. I can't give it five stars because of the Roasties but it was close. ;)
Atmosphere was great and the choice of drinks excellent.
L. P.
Lovely food ,service acceptable!
R. T.
Sticky table but otherwise nice. Food a little pricey but great choice and location. Good service.
D. A.
This is a pub with a large floor space and bar that confronts you on entry. A restaurant area is off from main bar in separate room. Menu was mixed, quality of the food was good. As a party of six we all ordered a variety of choices from the menu. Everyone was very happy with what was served. Especially the propotions, that were very generous. Negative points, the sunshine was very bright through the windows, to the point many tables, including the one we sat at, blinded people from seeing. The top row of windows need small blinds, or 1way reflective flim.
A. T.
Delicious, good and friendly service; kept to COVID regulations well without getting in the way of an enjoyable lunch.
k. o.
Very nice place, polite staff but very expensive.
Y. M.
Great family atmosphere. Relaxed and friendly. Fast service. Magnificent food. I will certainly be bringing friends and family here. If you are looking for a good old English pub with a touch of modernity....you have found it here!
S. B.
Lovely pub, very busy when the football is on. Does a delicious Sunday roast although quite pricey. The chips are amazing, get a mini bucket for £2.50
T. D.
Great customer service and atmosphere. Food could be better as it's the normal Brakes type of imported pre cooked food instead of home made. But a great country pub.
A. C.
Great food, very good service and a comfortable setting.
The menu is very good, as is the kids menu; everything we ordered was fantastic. This place is child friendly, but I would recommend a visit for any occasion.
D. S.
Nice pub and serves nice food.
J. F.
Good food, nice atmosphere
D. R.
Really good local pub serving good food. Also, if you are a real ale afficianado there is Proper Job, Timothy Taylor's and local Harvest Pale. Three of my favourites
H. W.
Great place for lunch or dinner. Food was lovely both times I've been. Staff are friendly too :-)
M. C.
Beyond expectations. The food was gorgeous. Haven't had food like that in a long time. We were there for our anniversary and it was perfect.
L. M.
Nice food and atmosphere, the waitressing could have been a tad better - not as organised as I would have liked! I think one might have been a trainee so that was understandable.
I'm sure my friends white bait was supposed to have come with bread (the waitress came back a 2nd time to check on white or brown bread!)
Main was spot on (beef with roast potato and green)
Apple crumble was akin to tinned stewed apples with crumble mix plonked on top. Wouldn't have that again.
I might have been less generous with the review had it been full price menu (there's a deal on Wednesdays)
J. M.
The family visited the Wollaton for a birthday celebration .
The staff were very friendly and the food was good overall.
We thought although food portions were good the price structure
was rather high otherwise worth a visit.
N. L.
Excellent food and drink with nice cheerful smiley staff.
J. W.
Food and service fantastic as usual. The place was packed. Hopefully getting back to "normal" soon 😬
S. T.
A group of us (probably about 20) had a meal here. Had heard so many negative reviews that we were all trepidant. No such problem. Meal great.
K. K.
Lovely family breakfast. Outstanding food and lovely friendly service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
n. f.
very very quiet place which is probably a reflection of the extremely over priced drinks. I was going to eat here but as the drinks were in the region of 30% dearer than other outlets i decided to eat else where. Visitors be aware this is a extremely expensive establishment which probably reflects the lack of customers. not a place i will visit again.
K. G.
Great food..very tasty
d.
Really nice atmosphere and has a understated but pleasant feel, great selection of drinks. Food is excellent. Good outdoor space(weather dependent)
R. W.
Great food & service. Only negative was the Eton Mess desert which was dreadful. I didn't suggest not paying but felt I should have done. I'll definitely be back because it was all great apart from that.
L. C.
Decent Sunday roast and good atmosphere
P. H.
Paid our first visit today. Daughters graduation at Nottingham uni. Had booked a table for 8. Great prompt service upon arrival, and the food was quick once ordered and every one loved thier choice. From fish and chips to the steak or gammon sanwiches - loved the soup taster with the sandwiches :) highly reccomened , and will certainly revist next time in nottingham!
E. H.
We had a family meal today.. 12 of us... from the min we arrived we was looked after very promptly... the food was amazing... our waitress was Katie... she served with a smile every time .. thankyou for making our evening perfect👍

This place has had a lot of history, good and bad, but as The Wollaton Pub & Kitchen its transformed into a high class gastropub with fantastic food. Rated by stars of "The Dark Knight Rises" film, I'd definitely recommend trying this place at least once on your visit to Nottingham.
A. B.
Great food, but unfortunately service was a little slow (in the bar side of things, I think we had an awkward order as it was placed as a few separate ones). Definitely recommend for a Sunday Roast.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff, will be going back if ever in the area.
J. P.
Ok to get the negative out of the way first, this place ain't cheap. If you want basic pub grub at Wetherspoon's type prices this is definitely not the place, fortunately there are already plenty of Wetherspoon's around which serve that purpose admirably so the Wollaton is free to occupy a slightly different niche. Technically it's a pub and the fine selection of real ales and craft beers bear that out, but the menu actually comes far closer to the modern holy grail of "casual fine dining" that so many restaurants claim to offer while never quite hitting the mark. The Wollaton hits the mark. I have eaten here probably 6 or 7 times, never eaten the same thing twice and been consistently impressed by the ambition of the constantly changing menu and the skill of the kitchen team in producing pub food that is better than I've eaten in some quite fancy restaurants, so while it's a little pricy for a pub it represents good value when judged against the restaurants that form its true peer group. Also the best sausage rolls in Nottingham, again dear at £2.50 a pop but absolutely the best bar snack around, teamed with a pint of good ale and a dollop of their home made brown sauce, quite exquisite. If you're anywhere near and feel like treating yourself, I can't recommend the place highly enough
C. L.
We ordered sunday dinner for collection at the weekend. Really lovely meal and can't recommend enough.
J. H.
Really enjoyable meal with good service.
R. Y.
Sunday lunch looked great but tasted poor, roasties were terrible, shame as I love the decor
R. G.
Food is good but quite over priced for what it is. Disabled toilet wasn't as accessible as required but they said they'd fix it . Staff are all very friendly and service is quick . They have a big room that is suitable for large groups.
M. H.
Swift service. Gorgeous Sunday roast was full of flavour and generous portions. Every element cooked to perfection. Will return.
B. F.
We usually go for a breakfast after our morning swim. We can't get enough of their sausage rolls and scones. We need to go for a proper evening meal.
T. P.
Amazing food and service! Never been disappointed!
J. “. N.
To put it shortly. Best pub food I've had hands down, nice atmosphere and decent speed on the service. and as a plus they sold fresh bread to take home!
R. N.
A little full but staff helpfull would go again had vegetarian option Nice
B. M.
Good place to eat at lunch time.Good food sensibly priced.Produced vegan and vegetarian options which were appetizing. All dishes served attractively.Good range of beers too
A. S.
Really nice place, food prices are quite high. We never ate there as there wasn't enough choice for my wife as she is vegetarian.
D. M.
Good food, friendly staff and dog friendly!
G. P.
Great pub with a lovely atmosphere. Food is superbly cooked and tasty. Reasonably priced considering the quality of the meals.
R. W.
In here for lunch, which was very good and well presented. The waiter and waitresses were attentive, cheerful and helpful. Prices are reasonable and there was plenty of parking.
A. J.
The food in here is top notch but the atmosphere when I was there was a bit dead. The interior seemed a bit grubby for the price tag you are expected to pay to eat there.
H. C.
Polite, friendly staff, great outdoor seating, scrumptious food and service times that could rival McDonald's.
J. G.
Awesome roast that came quickly, lovely starters and not too busy. A bit slow on the drink service and getting the bill but still very good.
F.
The most respectful of all the pubs we've been to this year. Super friendly and helpful.
C. T.
Two years ago i raved about this place and not long after that stopped going because it became a bit lacked lustre. After two years still hasn't got it's shine back.
Food and drink is still good and worth the visit but not a 'great' experience.
H. C. S.
It a shame food is not served throughout the day.
The food is prepared to a high standard though.
J. A.
Lovely atmosphere, good food, good value.
R. S.
Very good service and the meal was excellent. This is a very friendly pub/restaurant and we have always enjoyed our visits here
K. K. R.
Ok. They for our order wrong as didn't say they had run out of salmon when order was placed and ended up with smoked haddock. They did however refund the cost of that meal.
M. C.
Very safe outdoor dining. Well organized indoors. Good food.
M. H.
Lovely burger, great service and very dog friendly 🐶🐶
A. G.

M. H. (.
Amazing roast, tye puddings were tasty, service was great and very well thought out during the Coronavirus Season
L. A.
Wonderful meal and very friendly staff.
Partly spoiled by certain members of the public smoking e- cigarettes, at the bar which I thought is a no no in any environment where people are eating and drinking.
J. C.
Sat in the beer garden in the sunshine. Lovely atmosphere, good drinks and friendly service. Would recommend. The inside looks good as well.
J. C.
Wonderful food Good selection beers. Excellent offer"10" Can deal with a medium sized party. Thoroughly recommended gastropub

Nice pub with a good Sunday roast, a few rotating ales and fresh baked bar snacks (including a great sausage roll, with a veggie version) also a very nice garden in walking distance of wollaton park.

M. W.
Does a great Sunday lunch!!! Visited with my family and had a great meal... Why not 5 stars, we've visited before and it wasn't 5 stars... A little inconsistent at its very worst, 4 stars when it's bad!!!
G. B.
Lovely grub and even better service...
Would reccomend giving a try...
L. L.
Pleasant drink in the summer sun.. plenty of seats in the beer garden. Only negative is some rubbish and glass in the grass. Not ideal when you have a little one with you
M. V.
Great food, in particular the meats. Roasts are the best. However, quality can go down a bit when it's really busy.
P. A.
Not been for awhile looks lovely inside and out had Sunday dinner it was lovely could do with more gravy & been a bit warmer nice place to come back to
T. A. S.
Great food and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff too... recommended
A. H.
Food is great. Service is very slow. Requested for gravy didn't get it. Very slow at removing plates after 25 minutes from finishing the starter
A. R.
Nice food, good atmosphere. It the prices have really been cranked up. Clearly they have customers to justify it but it really is pricey for a pub. Even though this is our local, we go further afield now. …
P. P.
Nice food. Steady service. Went sat 745pm. Busy. Nice staff.
J.
Great freshly cooked food. Not cheap but worth it
G. D.
Lovely place, really friendly staff. The menu is quite smalk and a little fancy. Food looks great but can be a bit hit and miss, I've had some amazing meals and some average ones
