Great service friendly staff and a really clean place to sit and drink, it's situated at the theatre royal so it does have 15- 20 minute rush on if there's an interval from a show, but still worth a visit.

Unfortunately they put bar menus on the tables and when you ask for something they haven't got it. Seems they need to improve on the food side of things, it's not like they are busy on a Friday. The bar lady was a little blunt and unfriendly, and probably needs to do a course in how to talk to customers.

Very nice never been in for just a drink before without a show will go again

Busy bar full of theatre folk, good place to meet great beer

Staff here are always really helpful, even when there’s a busy theatre rush. Last week with about 20mins to go before the show they managed to cook us a fresh pizza in time. Lovely pizza too!

Tradition local ales good prices ,great place for drink and chat

Great, good whisky, served quickly, alongside the entrance of the theatre royal, or in fact the entrance, if you arrive late as I did.

Pizza was delicious.
Wine - could be better to have more options and more flavours.

Sign outside says craft beers but it really isn't, a few real ales and one craft beer only caled castle rock session ipa which was pretty poor

Good beers. Nice ambience but gets a bit hectic on concert/theatre night. Staff friendly enough. Nice for a quiet drink and snack during the day when you can watch the world whizz by from a comfy chair.

A vast improvement over the last time I was here. Seems that this place has been taken by Yarn, and thank god. Good food, great range of real ales, gins and nice wine. I would definitely go here again if attending another performance.

Although not a long visit. The bar person was excellent and the beer was amazing

Always an excellent choice of beer on hand pump or craft from Castle Rock or Nottinghams smaller but just as good breweries. It can get busy before a show but it's never a problem.

Great pizza and craft ale also have a good wine list . Staff are nice. Perfect for a pre show food and drink.

Superb staff, good priced drinks, only downside is food portion and variety for jacket potatoes (1 topping per meal, I like 3), however very good side salad

Nice, cozy bar, ideal pre and post theatre. Drinks were reasonably priced and a good selection of craft beer and food.

Really interesting concept. can't really give it a good rating because only tried a single vendor and there's lots more to choose from and try

It's a nice bar, pricey however the staff are friendly and the gin selection is second to none 👍😊😊😊

Good beer range as a Castle Rock venue. Open to all so not just a theatre bar.

Busy but no proper cups for coffee, was offered paper. Didn't see anyone drinking alcohol out of a disposable cup...

Usually has an impressive list of cask beers but this visit was a disappointment. Nothing stood out as 'a bit different'

Castle Rock Brewery has opened this venue in collaboration with the Theatre Royal and Concert Hall for a place to grab a pint before, after, or during the show.
