We enjoyed our dinner here. Service was friendly, portions were big and food was really good. The sticky toffee pudding is very good and great way to end your meal

My last night in Oxford and I dropped into Cow and Creek. Lovely pub. Clean, not too loud, plenty of seating. My family has a range of likes and dislikes for food so I appreciated the different options the menu had. From Tiki marsala to steak to classic British fare, plenty to choose from.
The staff was nice and down to earth. About 10 or so beers on tap that I saw (drank a couple), plenty of mixed drink options, and my kids enjoyed a couple mocktails.
The food was very good, our plates were emptied. Portion sizes were great (maybe not compared to some American establishments). The price was on lar with the area. 4 dinners, an app, 3 adult beverages, and two mocktails for about 70 pounds.
When all is said and done, this is a pub, not a 5 star restaurant, and it did a great job at that (which is what I was looking for on my last night in the UK)

Great bar and Corona on tap 🍻
Food was fantastic best I've had on trip to Oxford.
Pub food but good pub. after starter we were asked when we'd be ready for main rather than it being thrust on us which is alway a bonus.
Empty plate says it all 😉

It was lovely. A gentleman who worked there was excellent. Very busy serving food as well as running the bar. He never stopped. Still very polite and kind. Good manager. Well he should be.

Great pub, lovely surroundings and the staff are absolutely lovely and I love always they take the time to check if you’re happy with everything and the food is delicious and very reasonable with large portions.

What a fantastic bar! The perfect place to stop for lunch when you're shopping, escape work for a beer when you knock off and a great place to party on the weekend . The service is always bang on and it is refreshingly different to all of the branded bars in town. The manager can't do enough to look after you and the atmosphere is always fun and friendly 5 stars from me.

We went here for a Christmas meal with friends, and were unfortunately disappointed with the food.
We have been here before and enjoyed our experience that time at the pub, myself and my partner had gone for a couple of drinks. On that occasion the pub was rather busy, with a lovely atmosphere, staff were attentive and friendly and it was a lovely setting.
Unfortunately on our last visit it appeared it was slightly under staffed (but I understand given the situation), and the head chef was not in either. The drinks were lovely, and the mulled cider was incredibly morish, however there was a delay for the food. Myself and my partner had ordered the vegan burger which was 15£, all burgers come with a side salad and chips, however the chips are not vegan so we paid 15£ for a burger and salad which seems a little steep. My partner asked for some vegan sides as an alternative which we were charged additionally for (I understand that these items, peas and broccoli, maybe more expensive than chips but it still seemed a little unfair). As mentioned there was a wait for food but that is understandable, the burger itself was tasty and was a nicely 'loaded' burger. Some of the staff members were incredibly apologetic of the delay which was kind of them and were attentive, however other staff members were not the same, chucking sauce packets on the table as they went passed (when we had asked for some condiments) and not even saying a word, in this instance it felt rather awkward and not at all friendly or a nice service.
The pub itself was lovely, and again the atmosphere was lovely, nice customer base and decorated well.
We are sure the last experience was a one off and was due to being a little strained with staff numbers, and appreciate it can be a more demanding time of the year. I would advised reviewing the Vegan Burger side options as that was a disappointment.
