Reviews of Duke of Monmouth

It's a lovely (and quite a good-sized) pub located on the Abingdon Road. The ambience is lovely and the staff are very warm, friendly and welcoming.
The food is excellent. Although the menu is compact, the quality and serving size are really good. We started with 1/2 kg chicken wings with hot sauce, and we all enjoyed it.
In main course, I personally found fish and chips with garden peas to be the best. On weekdays, the food is cheaper. Main course costs just ~ 12.50 for two people.
For dessert, I would recommend triple chocolate brownie with ice cream. Absolutely fantastic.
Overall, had a really good experience !!

Lovely pub in Oxford, decor is nice, plenty of TVs so great for the sports fans, has its own car park (not a very big one though!) food was delicious and music was on when the sports wasn't on the TV

Such a lovely and cosy place to come to!
We found this pub by chance as we were staying at an airbnb close by. The pub is nicely decorated and the staff os so welcoming and friendly. There is a sizeable beer garden which we enjoyed too!
Food portions were generous and tasty! Thanks so much for a lovely dining experience.

Good pub food, very nice inside but outside the garden was too messy and noisy (fridge motor?). The beer selection was not that large but good. The bathroom very clean, very important when you are with you children.

Very nice lunch, we both had Fish and chips, and the grandchildren had pasta, four clean plates, efficiently served and a good price.
A nice lunch after swimming at Hinksey lido.
