M. W.Stopped in on a rainy Monday for dinner. The staff was extremely welcoming. Had a pint, and ordered the Steak and Ale Pie. It came out piping hot and delicious! Also had the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert and it was lovely! Would definitely recommend a stop if you are in the area.

The menu is actually impressive. We were a table of 15 people and their QR code ordering and payment system worked like a charm. Food was done quick and tasted good.
The beyond meat burger was extremely good! Plus they have a well priced option for a burger and sides.
Decor could use a bit of a touch up and the gents was quite dirty.
K. M.This is a lovely pub in Jericho, with wonderful staff, lovely ambience and good food (and drinks).
We visited here on Tuesday evening and thoroughly enjoyed the 2-for-1 burger. We chose the Chicken Katsu and Crispy chicken breast burgers. Both of them were tasty.
For sides, I will definitely recommend Corn. The sweet corn is one of the best I have ever had. The butter & spices made the corn incredible. Will definitely recommend it to everyone in Oxford.
L. S.Definitely my happy place while teaching this summer. The food was great. As a celiac I definitely appreciated the care they demonstrated. What was best was the atmosphere. They made me feel like family as my go to for lunch. The 1/2 grilled chicken with triple cooked chips is the best! Lunch, a Diet Pepsi and a book at the corner table - I highly recommend!

Would have given 5 stars but for what I felt was a little bit of an unimaginative beer selection - at least when I went. (Perhaps designed to cater to student/music crowd tastes.)

Reasonable selection of beers and ciders and meal was cooked well and tasty although could have done with a little more.
The concert was upstairs in a fairly narrow long room. The Bevis Frond was playing and the sound quality was very good.
M. I. F. D. S.This was my first experience in Jericho Tavern. We had made a reservation for dinner at 9 pm but when we arrived there the kitchen had closed exceptionally early at 8 pm without previous notice. However, as it was probably a website error, the staff was very welcoming and opened the kitchen just for us, so we would not miss our booked experience. That was great effort and not all pubs/restaurants would do that. Had a great time there, will come back!

Their staff is really friendly and there's a lovely backyard where you can enjoy a good pint when the weather allows. Their Sunday Roast is highly recommended!
B.The Jericho was one of our favorite haunts in town, no doubt due to its proximity to some of my closest friends' flat.
It's a warm, welcoming, spacious pub. We usually ate elsewhere or cooked our own dinners before coming by, so I can't speak to the food, but the drinks were always on point. I had a special fondness for the bartenders here because they were always happy to strike up a conversation with us.
We had lots of laughs - one night in particular, they brought me to tears making fun of what they perceived as oddities in American passports. They also helped us one night when a buddy drunkenly lost his phone in the building. They were patient and good natured, which is about all you can ask of bar staff.
Again, if you're not feeling like making new friends, there's plenty of room to spread out with your own social group or even be asocial, if that's what you're wanting. It's a welcoming, fun place, and a little bit more laid back than some of the other pubs around.

The interior is surprising large with a contemporary British pub feel. There's also a wonderful outside sitting area in the back (The Garden). The staff is friendly and welcoming (a rare trait). Someone actually asked how my food was. I spent 8 straight days eating in Great Britain pubs and that was a first. The menu is classic bar food with a modern touch. I recommend the dirty fries. Good selection of brews too. The prices are reasonable and the food tasty. Well worth the extended walk.

I really liked the decoration and atmosphere of The Jericho Tavern. They have an outside area to enjoy the sunny days. I would love to go back if I ever visit Oxford again.

The food is good. It's typical bar food: burgers, bar snacks, fish & chips and the like. I've had their beer & burger deals once or twice and have been happy. Their bar snacks are good, but could be a little cheaper and then we'd likely order more.

S.The Jericho is known for its Sunday roasts in Oxford but during COVID they aren't doing them but they haven't felt the need to put that on their website so you book a table and are stuck with a burger, the only thing they offer at the moment. Their burgers are phenomenal but it's not what I wanted and I was disappointed that what I did want wasn't available and I didn't know. I wouldn't go back.

C. F.On Christmas Eve we were far from home. The Jericho Tavern offered us an excellent experience and made us feel extremely comfortable and cared for. There was a problem with the tab and they took full responsibility. Excellent place either to eat or just to have a drink, having fun with some board games.
C. W.I've been to some good gigs upstairs, the best of which was probably Baskery. As for the black pudding burger? This was a mistake. It was too full and the lettuce and mayo and tomato escaped from the bun. The chips were too crisp with no bite. A distinct lack of strong flavour from the relish, patty or fillings. The bun was good, as was the presentation. But a poor show overall. £9 on Monday with a pint of Pepsi. May have led to my lack of enjoyment at the following Man Choir informal gig.

M. C.One time I went there and there was a really drunk guy. We had a long conversation about Hong Kong cinema so it was pretty great. Other times he wasn't there. They also have a Rolling Stones pinball machine so, yeah, I guess i recommend this place.

I would like to make special commendation to Peter. I received top notch service from him from the moment I made an enquiry about hosting our christmas dinner to my gang singing his praises for all his efforts on the night too. He endeavoured to make sure he knew all our names (and more impressively our menu choices) in our big group, as well as managing to be cool, calm and cheery in a completely full pub, all night. I also observed his communication with some of his team, and I have to say, thoroughly impressed with the concern and care for their customers, that they all showed.
So, the Usual Suspects gang and I salute you, Peter. Please keep up the outstanding service, because we'll be back!

T. S.They usually have quite a large selection of beers available but I've never found them to be particularly exciting. The place also has quite a cold, unwelcoming feeling to it unfortunately. Also, very expensive for beer.
