S. P.I'm not sure if this place counts as a 'hidden gem', but if so, it is the shiniest! Easily the most beautiful and pleasant pub garden I have visited in Oxford, lovely staff and service, and a nice selection of different beers to choose from. Can't recommend it enough.
J. s.One of the best pubs in Oxford. Friendly atmosphere. Gorgeous Garden with vibe when in sunset. Staffs are really friendly. Better to reserve your table ahead. You could enjoy nice beer with drool worthy food.

K.Best roast I've ever had. Too bad I don't live in Oxford or I'd be there every weekend. The cauliflower was the best I've ever had and the gravy was banging. Meat was a bit tough but still tasted brill. Walked out wobbling because I was so stuffed.

However, we got stung for a poorly undocumented "large group surcharge" on the food when we were there (over 5 people I think) ("It's so annoying that you brought all these people to our pub to spend money, we have to charge you more...") so we will not be returning.
R. I.A very nice and cosy place. We frequently had fish and chips here. The drinks are good too and the back yard terrace is nice in the summertime. Old Headington is such a beautiful neighborhood. Always a welcomeing feeling at the White Hart. Highly recommend.
