Reviews of Victoria Arms

A venue second to none. Thank you Alex for hosting my 70th Birthday bash at The Victoria Arms. A first class setting for a first class meal. Arriving by punt to a friendly welcome from all of your staff. The food was delicious and the service was also first class as was commented on by all my guests. Thanks too for allowing my home made birthday cake to be served on the premises. I’m sure some of my guests will be returning not only for a drink but to taste again your fine food as some living far away had not visited you before. My wife and family will obviously be visiting again in the near future.

Nice garden in the sun but slightly underwhelming.
Inside the pub is lovely; as is the garden and the view of the river. It was busy but the tables were well spaced out.
Great customer service and lots of staff on shift however cleanliness of the cutlery and glassware could do with a little attention. Toilets were clean but soap etc needed topping up.
All in all nice place especially if walking the river.

Amazing choice to spend the summer solstice. Plenty of outdoor seating on a glorious day! Inside was equally appealing, beautifully decorator historic location. Elevated pub-fare, delicious drinks, gratefully with ice. Would highly recommend and will definatly return on my next trip to Oxford!

Very nice pub especially when sunny..Good choice if drinks.
I had a burger. Very nice too. Cooked as I asked.
Very pleasant views in the garden.

Have been before to this pub but oh wow!! There was a huge transformation in the quality of the food!! Every food we ordered was so beautiful made and really delicious!!! The cold tomato soup was really creamy and had a lovely deep flavour. The chips were well made and the ketchup was very dense flavour that was a nice touch as well. The chicken had deep smoky flavour as well that was nice. The staff looked quite overwhelmed and felt the service can improve a bit but other than this highly recommend and would love to come back again!

Very nice food, if a little on the expensive side for starters and deserts The Sunday roast ran out before our late afternoon booking, which was a little disappointing. A stunning view of the Cherwell and a delightful sunset. The staff were friendly if a little disorganised. Overall a very pleasurable visit

Five of us visited here on Mothers Day. The consensus was that food of good quality and generous portions. Bill came to a total of £127. Prices are about 20% higher than similar establishments. But don't be put off going. Wednesday's are 25% off day if you join their club. Decor is very nice with a great beer garden.

I attended a private event last week at The Victoria Arms. It could not have been better. A couple of rooms were set aside for our group. We had finger foods and everything I tried was delicious. Planning to go back soon for a sit down meal. The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was lovely.

The location of this pub alone makes it worth a visit - it's in a lovely spot overlooking the river. The pub itself is charming - it's cosy inside, and it has a terrace and a lawn sloping down to the river. The menu is good - the food was a little disappointing when we visited, but I'm sure we'll be back to enjoy the place and the atmosphere.

Often, when you want to go somewhere for years, you are disappointed when you finally get there, but we set out on our walk from Oxford in hopeful anticipation, and the pub exceeded our expectations. It has a delightful interior, but we were able to sit in the lovely beer garden. We expected to have to wait to order food, but, no, they began serving at 11:00. The fish and chips were excellent. A lovely holiday memory.
