Food was good and the price was really good. Bit of miscommunication with the servers as we got told our drinks were refillable and then when we asked for them to br filled they said they weren't. It was quickly resolved though when we asked the same server and he got us the drinks. Good atmosphere too, family friendly😊

I don't really know where to start with this one, upon entering we were greeted with a warm reception and showed to our table. Bar service was quick and efficient and the ease of ordering was superb. I didn't quite catch our servers name however she should be commended on her customer service skills. She had glasses and a friendly face. Genuinely grateful for all the help we received from her when I accidentally knocked a drink all over our table and my wife. The food was excellent. The steaks medium rare temperature was absolutely perfectly cooked so thanks to the chef. All in all a great dining experience and we would be happy to return and will be doing for future meals. Thank you to all the staff involved, especially the young lady who went above and beyond. A* service.

Had a lovely meal on Saturday evening with family who were visiting & my bil said it's the best steak & ale pie he's ever tasted. The steak that 2 of us has was cooked to perfection & was so tender. Service quick especially for Saturday night.

The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere was nice. A couple of food items we wanted to order were not available, but it happens to all restaurants, and the food we had was nice. My only dislike is the 241 menu, it's clear that the each item is roughly double the price it should be. I suspect years ago the concept worked and was a bargain, but with rising costs has become a bit obsolete.

Table booked for 7people,there was actually 9 of us ,the staff accommodated us no bother . Wednesday evening 5:30pm,the place was virtually empty. 1 person wanted mixed grill-no steak!! 1person wanted surf and turf - no steak!! What we did have was very nice 👍 Now the drinks - I saw there was "purple rain"cocktail ,1 of my favourites 💜 When it came it tasted very sickly so I asked if they had changed anything. They said they had no grenadine so they added strawberry syrup !!!.I'm sorry but if you haven't got the ingredients then please tell the customer. There could have been a allergy problem !! Just saying ,or training the staff might help.

Meal was lovely, with one exception. My wife is dairy intolerant and we informed them of this when ordering. My wife ordered a vegetarian burger and it wasn't until she was eating it that she realised there was cheese in the burger. She has had a bad stomach all morning today. More awareness is needed for those who have allergies, etc.

Marston's is my restaurant brand of choice. Usually, the food is good quality. Sadly, not so for the apple cart. Mushy peas were dry and cold. Fish was overcooked and the bread was dry. Coffee was lukewarm too. Very disappointed. The apple cart was good enough to invite us back again today. Our meal was much better today. Thank you.

Great British pub experience!! Amazing service and the food was delicious. We ordered a burger with bacon and cheese and the steak and ale pie. YUMMMM!!!! They also have tasty ciders on tap. Definitely will become regulars here!! *UPDATE* We are regulars!! Poker every Monday night and Katie and her staff are amazing. All of our friends come here for drinks and fun 🙌🏾😁

Everything started fine with our order being taken for drinks and food all arriving in good time, once we had eaten our starters and mains our plates were cleared away, we were not asked if we would like a pudding and it took a great deal of time to attract the attention of staff so we could order one as they were to busy talking to each other or just wandering about. To sum up good food service could be a lot better.

Went in 3 bar staff ignored us until we actually said Hi we have a table booked, shown table and told to order at bar and pay in advance!! Ordering at bar not an issue as lots of pubs do this but since when do customers have to carry their own cutlery, trying to struggle back to table with drinks, purse and cutlery!!! Luckily main courses were very tasty but we had ordered dessert at same time as main to save jumping up to bar half way through meal then had to go and ask if they had forgotten as 20 mins went by after main course then think your suppliers forgot lemon in the “sisilian lemon cheesecake” as was very tasteless!! Don’t think we will be back

If you go when it's quiet I promise you a lovely meal!! Avoid at all costs during busy periods! Only time I've ever had an issue here was during a peak dinner rush however apart from that when it's half empty I've never had a bad experience! One thing that cannot be knocked is the staff friendliness! 7/10 food 10/10 service

We love going to the Applecart for family meals. We’ve had family birthdays and many happy Christmas dinners here. Katie and her team are fantastic. The Applecart has a great welcoming atmosphere and the food is tasty. Lots of happy memories being with family here and lots more to make. Great all round family pub!

I'm knocking an extra star on because they had a 2 for 1 main meal deal which meant our afternoon dinner was quite cheap. However, the burger I had was quite overgrilled and I couldn't finish it on this basis. If you like chain pubs then you won't be able to fault Apple Cart which is in a nice location, plenty of choice on the menu and a nice atmosphere.

My daughter loves having a treat dinner here after school every now and then. She is always happy with her food. Staff are warm, welcoming, helpful and patient when my little one can't decide which pudding she wants. It's lovely to have somewhere on our doorstep where we can take a night off from cooking and dishes and there is something for everyone.

My parents ate hear today as they love it here. But today was different as my dad George collapsed, Katie, Debbie and the chefs were amazing they look after my disabled mum whilst the chefs and Katie looked after my dad until the ambulance came. Very overpriced, we were left waiting nearly a hour for our food. My grandson waited half an hour for his jelly and icecream, when they brought it over it came with a table spoon which was to big for him to use properly. The waitress also dropped the side order which she left on the floor. I thought they may have been understaffed until I saw 3 members of staff trying to figure out the lay out of a large table.

The salad I've had was lovely and despite not having a reservation they dealt with our group of 11 people. Very well done! We were all impressed that the whole process of preparing the meals (did I mention 11 people without reservation?) Took solid 45 minutes, really not bad. The most impressive was the bill though. Around £100 for 11 drinks and meals thanks to 2for1 deal. Amazing! Worth to go there for bigger gatherings, food is decent and prices amazing. Place is also cozy and accessible for disabled with a fancy play area for kids. Worth visiting!

There were only 2 members of staff on tonight doing everything they worked their socks off as it was quite busy. The meal was very nice but the overpriced meal prices make us laugh why offer 2 for 1 why not just use a reasonable price for each meal I mean £15.25 for a chicken tikka masala that I could get from Tesco for £5.95 although the meal was nice it wasn't worth the menu price.

Update on two years ago we are as pleased now as we were then. We go to there steak night almost every week occasionally they get it wrong but there meals are consistently very good. And are exceptionally good value what’s more the staff are always very pleasant all in all a very good place to eat.

I'd rate this place a solid 4/5. The food is damn tasty and (more importantly) very affordable for what you get. Their Specials board holds a number of dishes that I would recommend, and we had our meal when they were running an offer of two for one Specials (a bargain!) so watch for that deal. As far as downsides go, I'd say waiting times are noticeable. Not long enough to become frustrating, mind you. Another (big) downside from my last visit was that the staff forgot our drinks orders more than once, leading to us not getting any drinks after our first round. Thankfully, the drinks didn't appear on the bill, otherwise this would have presented an issue. I won't let one bad experience sully my view of the place though. It's a decent pub/restaurant, so I would recommend it. Especially the Butterfly Hickory Chicken. I would DEFINITELY recommend that.

Stopped off for a bit of lunch before embarking on the retail sales of Brotherhood Shopping Centre. The food was typical ‘pub food’, nothing exceptional but sustained us nicely for a reasonable cost. The environment was okay, table rather small and not particularly comfortable seating. This sort of eatery is one step up from fast food, the cost relates to the quality and experience as expected. Yes, I would return but only as a casual lunchtime venue.

I've actively avoided this place in the past due to really poor experiences when i gave it a chance. But in the last few weeks i have gone in with my football team on a saturday afternoon and the manager and staff have been fantastic. Very attentive, polite, welcoming and tolerant of our idle chit chat & banter all with covid restrictions in place. Thank you and we will be back every week if you will have us.

One thing that out me off was the poor waitress who was rushed off her feet trying to deal with all the tables on the floor in her own and another waitress approached her and told her things needed doing, the poor girl was doing all she could as it was, why the other waitress' didn't help I don't know. There were plenty of people covering the bar so they could of helped her on the floor. We waited for out bill due to the waitress being rushed off her feet, and then after seeing her spoken to in that way I didn't feel comfortable approaching her for the bill anyway so I paid it at the bar and left. Don't treat your staff that way apple cart, or you will have none left.

The Apple Cart is more a food pub than a tradition pub. It is nice and modern with friendly staff. The food on the whole is very good and good value as it is 2 for 1 on meals all day every day. I would say in all the times I've eaten there could be as many as 50-60 I would say I've had 2-3 meal that haven't been up to scratch.

We have become firm regulars eating at the Apple Cart. Although a chain-pub, the food is of good quality and well sized portions. They offer an extensive Specials Board and the value for money is outstanding. The friendly staff are happy to make changes to orders and we have never felt that we have waited long for food. Highly recommended - it is certainly better that doing your own washing up!

Surprisingly decent food at a very reasonable price. The Apple Cart is a nice modern pub, with lots of seating and a kids play area. The menu is large and varied, with buy one get one free offers for most (all?) main courses. Waiting times were good and the food was excellent.

The service here was very bad! Me and my partner went her to have a meal just to see what it was like. We were seated and decided we wanted to order and was left waiting for 10minutes (which is a long time to wait to order) but we finally got to order. We got our food delivered to us and i had ordered a double stacker burger with a 8oz burger and pork, when i got my food there was no pork in it and i had to get them to put some in. After dinner we wanted dessert but was left waiting for nearly 30 minutes for someone to approach us to ask, in the end my boyfriend went up to ask and the service wasnt with a smile and i could easily tell that every waiter/waitress in the pub wanted to go home. I can safely say i wont be going there again.

Never had a bad meal here yet, fast friendly service. The only things that stopped me giving five stars for todays sunday roast was the mashed potatoes were powder/ processed and you could taste it. The Apple Cart pub is our regular Friday night dinner destination. On Thursday and Friday nights you can get two perfectly cooked steaks and a bottle of wine for only £20. It is by far the best value pub food in the area. P.S. For an extra £3 you can get a mixed grill that you will be struggling to finish.

Not much shade in the outside parts (only one cover). Service can be slow or forgotten even but since the food and price is good it's worth it.

Brilliant place to take the family, always my first choice in Peterborough for a meal out, theres plenty on the menu to choose from so everyone's pretty much always catered for. Ate Midweek at 5pm & ordered 2 rare rib eyes which came out medium rare, not the end of the world but they were tateless! The rocket salad was a small limp offereing way past its best. Service wasn't great, very slow and not very attentive, i guess they may have been short staffed? This place is never meant to be a culinary experience and my wife seemed happy enough hence 3 stars and not 2.
