We had a good experience of the harrier when we went on a works night meal. The new menu is good, particularly the "challenges" menu which is also 25% off all day on a Friday. I had the steak fondue challenge which was good if not ever so slightly over cooked, considering I ordered my steak rare. The surroundings were pleasant and we all had a good time. It was busy when we went in at 7pm on a Friday night, so booking is recommended.

The Harrier is an excellent family pub to cater all of your needs (bonus Moretti on tap now also!) Wayne is a credit to the pub - a friendly place and customer service you can always rely on. Food excellent and fast, staff are always friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Lovely place with a lovely atmosphere - you'd be a fool to miss out! 💙🍻

Popped in on the off chance for a bite to eat, having used this pub regularly when a part of the Hungry Horse chain. Most impressed with all the changes that have taken place. Plenty of choice on the menu, service was good, food was served in good time, given how busy the pub was and the food was excellent. There was nothing that I could fault. Food was delivered promptly as was of a very high standard. Clearly, the new owners and staff have gone to great lengths to offer the customer a great experience. As a local to the Harrier will certainly make a return visit.

A surprisingly decent place, with great food&drink selection and prices - especially loved the food challenges (about to experience the ring of fire after the hot wing platter). Plenty of space both inside and out, with a little corner for kids outdoors. Certainly worth a visit.

We booked for a celebration meal for 14, all our enquiries were dealt with and we pre-ordered our food. Great choice of drinks for adults and kids, and very good service. Our tables were all together in the same area and all the food came out at the same time perfectly presented & piping hot. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the whole night and would like to say a big Thank You to all the staff for a great night. in

A great choice with the menu. We had the gammon - it was the best I’d had - great flavour. Good value for money and was very busy. Attentive staff and all very helpful. Been here again… in fact been here a few times now - beginning to be a local!! Have had a variety of dishes - all excellent - the gammon is still my favourite though!!!

I found out about this pub on Facebook, I saw they do food challenges and I was curious to experience this. So I made a booking for my wife and myself and let me tell you that it was fantastic, far exceeded our expectations. Delicious, fast, friendly, I cannot recommend this place enough. I had the rib challenge and I'm never going anywhere else for ribs again. I can't wait to tackle the big daddy burger. Unfortunately I wasn't strong enough to finish but in my defence I was greedy and ordered a stack of onion rings too, lol I regret nothing. Truly excellent value for money.

Just returned home from a lovely evening at the Harrier celebrating a family birthday. Thought they might struggle catering for our large party of 14 but the food was lovely, great value and all served at the same time. Great service from friendly staff. Recently tried the new restaurant menu after hearing The Harrier was now running under different hands. Theres the choice of booking a table in restaurant, order and collect or home delivery. I have now tried 3 different days of the week deals and they have all been superb. Not only tasty and good value, but each time very pleasant and accommodating staff. I phoned my order then collected 15 minutes later. I'm definitely working my way through the menu 🍽🥂

Portion of chips on adult meal is the size you would give children. We recieved mouldy/bruised strawberries on our desserts. Meal should come out on sizzle plates but there was no sizzle. Manager Scott needs retraining in customer service from the other manager who is very helpful on his days in.

Ordered take out via just eat, the food arrived within 20 minutes of placing the order, I anticipated it being cold as I thought there was no way it could have been prepped that quick. However the food was piping hot, actually burnt my mouth on the chips lol Scampy was tasty and the chicken burger was well presented and also tasty, usual quick pub grub :) Glass bottle cokes were a nice touch too. Only thing that was let down was the onion rings, as they weren't great and there was an extea portion of scampy missed from the order, however this could have been added to the one serving, difficult to tell as I don't know a standard portion size.
