Just moved into the area and took the dog for a long walk from water newton, found this little pub. Lovely little place. We stayed and some food with the dog. Every member of staff we had contact with was really friendly and welcoming the food was spot on. Lovely pub we’ll be back 100%

Barman wasn't very friendly and would be better if they did food longer as we turned up just after they stopped ..it wasn't busy so he could have easily offered us something but no.. you would think as things are at the moment they would want more business
T. M.
A nice cosy and target traditional pub with a great atmosphere and a good selection of local beers. The staff are all very friendly and do put in effort to make your visit enjoyable. The food is alright, though it can be a bit hit or miss with some menu items tasting a bit canned. Overall though it's a wonderful classic British pub.

Beautiful pub in an idyllic setting run by lovely and friendly staff. The food is out of this world also. Highly recommend
N. S.
Great traditional pub. Fantastic selection of ales. Phenomenal value for money food. We had sandwiches which cam with a surprising large portion of chips and sizable salad. The filling was fresh and ample.

This is a great little pub with a really good choice of real ales and ciders. The food served here is also very good. But mostly I would like to thank the landlord and landlady for really excellent service. I have only visited the pub 4 or 5 times and on three occasions I have taken a group of about 15 - 20 people.
On our last visit we had booked a Sunday lunch for 14:30 for 7 adults, 5 children and 4 dogs! Unfortunately I underestimated how long it would take us to walk to the pub and we did not get there until after 3 o'clock when the chef had gone home BUT Kay and Si still managed to put on a splendid late lunch for us with all the trimmings! Much ale and wine was consumed as we spent a relaxed afternoon in one of the best pubs around.
Thanks to Kay and Si for a great meal and good time - time after time!
(I must try and get my band RnR a gig here :-) )

Very dog friendly. Went here after visiting Nene Park.

Been visiting this pub on weekends fairly regularly after walking our dog. Friendly staff, nice food, and best of all free biscuits for the dog!

The Prince of Wales is an excellent country pub with a really friendly atmosphere. They do great food including wicked Sunday roasts in the Winter, and always have a selection of real ales and locally-produced beers such as Roman Gold. They are very canine-friendly, with any well-behaved dog being welcome indoors. There is live music most weekends and a Pub Quiz on Sunday nights. In the warmer weather there is a comfortable beer garden but it never gets raucous, just a nice, mellow pub.

A Typical old English pub situated in a very pleasant village , serving a good selection of beers and one from the local brewery Castor Ales 🍺🍻

We ride here from Orton because it has the choicest, best kept beer south of the river (Hand & Heart being the other). But please, guys, keep your glassware clean!
