Reviews of The Draper's Arms - JD Wetherspoon
N. “. N.
Great place for traditional English food.
Place has top roof terrace , looks super great in the night .
Toilets upstairs. Able to order at the bar or scanning QR code at the table. Super breakfast muffins 😋
Staff always very nice and friendly.
M. M.
Absolutely Loved it here, great garden terrace and balcony, prices great and food..by far the best staff ever!! Micky was just amazing to us and made the experience even better.Other bar staff were very accommodating too.We were a family group visiting from London.will definitely return on our next visit 👏👏❤
S. G.
This was the first time I had been back to the Drapers in years and was pleasantly surprised. We sat outside as it was a nice day in their seated garden area. It was well laid out and there was a shaded area to get out of the sun if you wanted to. I ordered the cod and chips and it was pretty good. The chips were really good, the fish was a touch oily but nothing too serious. The best thing is you get a drink within the price of your food which I didn't know at first! But that really adds to the already reasonable prices of the food. I would definitely go back as the staff seemed really nice too. Cleared our plates really quickly and were friendly and professional. Couldn't ask for more really.
P. C.
Good prices , selection, both drinks and food. Staff amazingly helpful and friendly, Nelly Chris's Tasha and Jack.
K. S.
Went here yesterday with my mum,who is a frequent flyer here😂, for a spot of lunch. I was very impressed with the food, choice of food, speed of service, politeness and efficiency of the staff and lastly the cost of our lunch! We had a panini,a wrap, fries,a coffee each (which was bottomless) and a double spirit with a mixer each, all of this for less than £17. I definitely won't wait too long till I visit here again.
H. J.
It was rather busy for a Thursday afternoon. Our party of 8 only added to the strain the staff were under, trying to keep tables clean after they were vacated, and delivering food orders, but they just about managed it. More staff might have helped reduce that strain.
Food was nice as well.
S. A.
Outside area is nice, good views. Always feels a bit dirty unfortunately not sure if it's the carpets
S. E.
Good service, good, cheap breakfast, good beer. What's not to like?
C. R.
Good food. Beer kept well, good selection and prices that are often half what you pay elsewhere. Fast service with cheerful staff. What more could you ask for.
A. W.
Food is good, exactly what you'd expect from a spoons. They have loads of ales at great prices. An older crowd so much more relaxed. Nice atmosphere in a quieter location.

I went in for a meal with my friend as we were both famished. It was very busy and we noticed that the tables weren't being cleared or cleaned. We found a table and sat down. We had a look at the menu and decided to have a burger and chips meal. We ordered drinks and waited for about 15 mins which was good considering how busy it was. The drinks were good, but alas the burger I had wasn't. Too much onion, and it seemed to be lacking flavour.
Not a lot of chips either. My friend had a Chicken burger which again had too much onion in it. But he said it was nice. It looked dry to me around the edges.
We didnt order dessert as we found they were too expensive and there isn't a diabetic choice.
There was no check back to see if our food was ok, also when I asked for help from a server, he totally ignored me.
Great beers and selection of spirits and lovely for meeting for friends.
M. T.
Really friendly bar staff, great selection of ales. Good food. Outside area plus balcony area. However we noticed a snails trail along the carpet on our return visit.
c. g.
Very spacious inside and a cosmopolitan look with a balcony garden and downstairs. Only thing is non smoking garden which is a first.
People have to go outside to smoke.
All the usual of a JD Weatherspoon pub.
Good sunny afternoon pub lunch.

Wetherspoons is exactly what it says on the tin....you get what you get...
This is place which serves it's purpose. ..Cheap beer sometimes a bit rough... food cheap sometimes a bit rough. ..
Today ordered midday brunch and 2 x fish and chips...It was great for boxed bagged food heated up.....The place is clean and tidy. . Staff ok. ..But it is what it is...
P. M.
Good solid menu, well executed. Charging points available. Friendly, efficient staff. Only negative was that 'Spoon app not working there.
M. D.
Beer (real ale) is always brilliant and well priced. However, the steak night tonight was a shocker - dry and luke warm food. Drink here but eat elsewhere
k. l.
Plenty of space for our group of 8. Staff didn't seem to want to be there and were really miserable. The food 3 of the food orders came out wrong. Disappointing for a weatherspoons.
D. T.
It's the usual Spoons but must say I was surprised they had no pie in the 'classic pub meals' section. I asked a member of staff when they had stopped doing pies. "We've never done pies" was the response but I distinctly recall having pie in a Spoons previously or... am I going mad? Carpet and tables sticky as per.
P. R.
Ten real ale hand pumps available on my visit. Excellent lasagne. Quick friendly service. Highly Recommended
A. K.
Reasonably priced food, lovely staff and quick service, nice new outside area with roof top dining
P. W.
Great value, get what you pay for. Very well presented pub. Love the breakfast here.
G. S.
Typical weatherspoons, gpod atmosphere, friendly
A. D.
It's a wetherspoons so you know what you're getting. Good value for money with food that is fairly decent. Would go again
G. K.
A lot of people seem to look down their noses at Wetherspoon establishments ... I find that a little strange. The Drapers is a fairly typical example of what you can expect... Good atmosphere, reasonable range of drinks. Basic but decent quality food and all at a very fair price. Service is usually great and speedy. If you use the app, you don't even have to queue at a till to order. Give it a try... You'll probably have a great visit.
P. J.
Great place, friendly staff, good atmosphere, food good service very good, toilets bit of a trek but that is Weatherspoons... Disabled toilets need a bit more attention please.. Perhaps hourly inspection.... Also outside smoking is no where except at the entrance so as there is two outside areas at the rear of the Pub perhaps the top area could be for smoking... Just saying
S. G.
I'm back for a day trip on bike, called in here, having managers special, Steak for £6 . Decent meal for a price everyone can afford, love it.
T. R.
We had a great time today. We decided to try them after the full refurbishment. Sadly the weather didn't supported the roof terrace today but we will definitely come back to try it because it looks nice.
Sunday lunchtime the venue was pretty much full, but the service was quick. The prices are affordabe but good value for money.
The meals were plenty and delicious. (harvester lost our family as a customer today) We will definitely return.
D. B.
Great place to meet your friends. Food was delicious and went down well with a pitcher of drink. Staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was buzzing
T. B.
Good weatherspoons Good atmosphere and staff with excellent quality of service always happy to help out in anyway.
L. S.
Standard Wetherspoons affair, but improved for this year with new toilets and outdoor seating area. Decent service as expected from Wetherspoons. Will be back next year when my bike needs another service.
S. W.
First time visit on a Saturday afternoon. Busy, friendly, loved the app to order drinks and food. Not expensive. Will return.
N. H.
Ale was ok. Tables were very sticky, bit more cleaning.. Bar staff were very nice n pleasant. Didn't eat there this time. Yes I will be going back.
A. B.
Had my leaving drinks there. A good pub with a great atmosphere. Bar staff were top notch. Great service
C. J.
Good food ,good service , comfortable seating well spaced out
J. A.
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Price For Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall the prices you pay at most Weatherspoons are pretty great. No major issues with the price.
Speed of Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
On this particular visit the time between placing my order and receiving it was very rapid. Not too shabby. I did order using the Weatherspoons App.
Food Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Overall quality of food was very satisfactory. Good flavours. Although the portion sizes are slightly small and isn’t ideal for those in need of a filling meal. Although as breakfasts go it does the trick.
Restaraunt Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No major issues here store was clean and pristine! Although it was 10am so I would be suprised if the standards where below this!
B. M.
Another good Spoons, handy for the bus station. Upstairs toilets and outside seating area.
C. A.
Very busy pub, food being served looked excellent, I'd have no issue eating there again.
S. C.
Was there with my 3 kids, and there were lots of other families there too, I can't blame the staff, they were very busy, but there was a group of lads on the table next to us who we're using some quite colourful language, not the sort of language you want your kids to hear, just took the edge of what was a great treat after a long bike ride with the kids
D. C.
A great place to visit, very clean and tidy, excellent prices and the service was very good and the staff really looked after you
L. C.
It's a Wetherspoons! Staff friendly. Service efficient and food as expected.
E. A.
Decent food at affordable prices. Place has been done up.
d.
My local. Beer well looked after, friendly service, great food. What more do you want? :)
K. M.
Been here b4. Even better,. 2jars and chick breast bites ,. Great. Just been to Raymond mays.
J. G.
Loved my £2 pint!
J. L.
The meal we had was excellent & the staff were very accommodating toward us
C. D.
One of the best Weatherspoons! Just how a pub should be and good quality food.
D. S.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the roof garden, great value for money with the food aswell
L. P.
Great pub, good food great beer and extremely helpful, we went in with our 5 month old and they had really posh hot water baby bottle warmers. Thanks very much
C. M.
Always busy a good sign, my lady wife had the best Caeser Salad she's ever!
J. L.
You know what to expect cheap and cheerful. Good staff always busy
C. C.
Ideal for the Great Wetherspoons Breakfast to set you up for a day of Retail Therapy around Peterborough.
S. H.
Everything you would expect from a Wetherspoons, with a nice real fire, large layout and even seating upstairs, order at the bar or on the app for table service, quick service and tasty meals. Great offers on with drinks included in meals and Greta value drinks!
D. M.
Love this pub. Such a huge difference in quality when compared to the college Arms. Drapers are the best, service quick, staff friendly and happy, helpful. Table service fast.
P. T.
Spoons in Peterborough cosy, good breakfast and cheap beer has upper terrace area now
A. S.
Went for cocktails with a friend. Had a great night
A. S.
Full marks for quality and value of food and drinks. Met up with old school pal and enjoyed the day .It didn't cost a fortune. Which is important as money is always needed for other expenses in life .I would recommend this place to anyone wishing to spend a pleasant time in comfortable and safe surroundings. I will be returning again in due course .
S. P.
Good atmosphere, plenty of food and drink options, nice breakfast at good prices.
A. P.
Standard Wetherspoons experience. Food was good but slow to come.
s. c.
Cannot fault anything here great staff great food great atmosphere
R. A.
Visit The Drapers Arms regularly from Wisbech.
Always a warm welcome welcome from the staff.
Great environment and atmosphere morning noon or night with great beers Great staff and great friendly customers
T. G.
A couple of issues with my meal but was made right straight away, the food was lovely arrived in great time, easy ordering from the app to the table, will definitely go back. Thank you
S. L.
The Drapers is a city Weatherspoons pub so don't expect to sit with views over a babbling Brook, but you can expect decent food and drinks at very reasonable prices with good service. All good, well done Mr Martin and your great staff..
C.
The new outside area is great and cheap drinks
J. B.
Nice pub, affordable food.
D. S.
Usual Weatherspoons menu , some meals are priced to include a drink which is good. Food was not served hot , well placed in the centre of the city. It does get busy the later you dine, best to go early.
S. A.
Good food, staff are really nice.
R. A.
A pleasant welcoming venue (Thursdaylunchtime). A good choice of beers (8+).
P. G.
All wetherspoon, s are great always a place of good security and good company especially drapers at my home town of Peterborough land of sugar and perkins diesel engines,.
M. S.
Good breakfast but after ordering it on the app a girl came over and said we have no fried egg but you can have poached or scrambled. How does that work are they different kinds of chickens 🤔
T. K.
First time passing by brilliant breakfast
C. A.
Some great options on the menu to keep me on plan
D. C.
Busy but quick service helpful friendly staff food was standard spoons nice well priced
r. v.

G. G.
Great place! 👌
n. n.
Can't believe how good and efficient this was. Crowded but not dangerously so. Staff had time to recommend drinks and check on our meals. Recommend this Weather spoons in Peterborough.
D. P.
Just as you would expect from the wetherspoons. Staff were friendly. App ordering at the table excellent.
f.
Great atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommended 👌
H. S.
Best breakfast I have had in some time and at a great price!
Staff were friendly and helpful plus using the app meant we got table service.
Yes it is a pub, but it has nice booths and a decent dining are at the back.
Have tried the dinner menu as well and can say that is pretty decent to. Worth a visit
A. C.
Cheap drinks and cheap food. Being able to order on the app also makes things really easy.
Compared to the College Arms in Peterborough, I would always go to The Draper's Arms.
m. b.
Good as usual, great beers and prices
W. S. N.
Nice place not bad food
B. S.
Service was fast and friendly. Food was adequate for the price. Facilities were cramped and dirty. Clientèle was very much a certain group!!
R. M.
Stopped using the pub together with a group of friends a few years ago due to bad service. Started using it again recently but in my opinion service still the same. It is a shame because it is a great place and the food is good
C. S.
Love how nice the place looks now. All staff friendly and welcoming. Never having to wait to be served and tables cleaned so quickly. The place is clean and beautiful. Kids loved it and prices are amazing. Such good location to go for lunch after shopping. Will definitely be returning again and again 😍
t. e.
Just popped in for a quick drink while waiting for a table some where else to eat, was fairly busy and noisy but seemed friendly and popular. drinks were reasonably priced.
D. G.
You know what you're getting with a 'spoons. Good choice of drinks/food at reasonable prices. Not a la carte fine dining but you get good value for money.
A. S.
Handy Wetherspoons for the train station.
d.
Good food all though too much grease- some people like that though. It's family friendly if anything too friendly. My partner and I had Sunday lunch here and we ended up near 3 screaming kids. Maybe we chose poor seats but the booth at the end seemed wise at the time. Overall 4 stars on price, quality etc
V. D.
Since the place had a recent revamp, it is very bustling, on a daily basis. Situated near to Peterborough Bus Station, City Centre Shops, &, Restaurants, as well as #Queensgate Shopping Precint (which is undergoing a building extension re-vamp), &, Railway Station, on 'Cowgate', in the city centre. As with most #Wetherspoon Pubs, they take a no nonsense approach to behaviour, have no music, t.vs, you cannot hear, &, apart from the disabled toilets, the place is quite clean. #Covid Shields, still seperate the tables, &, in reality, they still provide / require you to sign / scan in but, most local people their, 'Do Not Bother', &, is one of the reasons possibly, why 'Peterborough', has one of the highest #Covid-19' infection rates still, in #England (28/08/21), due to ignorance of the situation
S. L.
Was bursting at the seams when i visited. Really nice staff and great atmosphere.
Y. S.
Very very busy on a Thursday lunchtime. Nice to have the opportunity to sit in a 'booth'.
Food was hot and served on a delightful blue and white patterned plate.
They prepared an off menu dish for my brother. No trouble.
Only down point is the toilets are up a narrow flight of stairs and along a landing, not the best location for a lady by herself or a person who struggles with stairs. Didn't notice if they had ground level disabled toilets at all.
Prices were very fair.
D. D.
Very pleasant afternoon in friendly pub, With Good Company. AND REASONABLE PRICES.
P. B.
Nice and beautiful ambience, good food
M. L.
The food is amazing, and waiting time is minimal if any!
The staff are polite, welcoming and friendly!
Cheap pints and cheap food, can't go wrong at all! Definitely recommend if you're in the Peterborough areas and looking for a nice pub for a meal or otherwise..
S. J.
Nice meals with good choices. Always very busy and not always possible to find a table. Service OK although a little slow when busy. Staff polite and willing to help out if things need to be adapted. Disabled toilet/baby changing room not the best but did witness staff going in to check and clean.
M. S.
What a great pub. Very lively, but not crowded. Good prices, very tasty food, all served quickly and efficiently by very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities were clean and none of the smells we all hate. Winning the quiz was icing on the cake. Top marks to all the staff for an enjoyable environment.
M. S.
Great selection of ales at a bargain price.
S. S.
Lovely food and great service. Went their for drinks with my aunt and simply loved it. Situated right in the city centre
a. c.
Expected to be busier on a Saturday afternoon quite surprised. Took a table signed in using app orders done likewise drinks and food were served on a tray left on table all staff wearing masks a very enjoyable experience
L. F. S.
Traditional pub. Nice prices. Good variety of beers.
D. J.
4/5 Security defiantly have ego issues.
Good environment for a couple bevvys or for a meal with the fam.
R. G.
For drink real ales are good Pepsi on tap. Busy pub Thurs /Fri nights no music but loud chatter. Nice bays to sit in and lots of other dining seating. Good food. Toilets upstairs.
1 disabled toilet in eating area easy access disabled parking only parking outside but large multi storey car park close by. Free on some nights. Fri is one not sure on other nights. I'd give it 9 out of 10.
A. C.
We love this Wetherspoons which has recently been refurbished. Lots of outside space now. Really near to the train station if you have a bit of a wait!
T. H.
Excellent pub that can satisfy any age of customer. Fast, friendly and effective staff.
M. D.
You know what to expect in a 'Spoons and, for the most part, this is true here too. Decent food and excellent value coupled with very good staff. The only negative is this outlet has not got the same sense of quality to it, doesn't seem to have character, has a more 'boozer' feel.
Added: 2 May 2019
Just to confirm: the staff here are a credit and any negative was purely down to fit, fabric, fixtures and fittings. I would have no hesitation on returning the next time we are in Peterborough.
r. s.
Very kind customer services apart from the bald guy with the beard, he was very rude and assumed my friend was drunk after he rested his head against the booth even though he only had a pint of Guinness, then decided to treat us like children after we tried to explain that he wasn’t. Horrible customer service from this particular employee, very disrespectful and doesn’t listen to the customers. Was intimidating and patronising with no valid reason to deny us our orders except as a power play.
D. H.
A whetherspoons so what you'd expect from it.
Cheap drinks. Good location. Always pretty busy
a. h.
Decent 'spoons. Good range of reasonably priced beers.
A. W.
Typical Weatherspoons. Having said that nice interior and friendly efficient bar staff. Everything ordered on app. Very nice outdoor terrace on upper floor.
E. H.
Sitting outside upstairs is fine. Lads walking round with no masks, security were feeble and said they couldn't do anything. Poor.
N. S.
Apparently they no longer provide proper milk for the teas and coffees. The long life stuff was disgusting.
L. N.
Had a meal there today, very nice and hot ,we will be going again
M. A.
Rachel brought us our drinks placed on online order and was very polite and helpful. Kara served us food and had very good table side manner. Highly recommend quick service regardless of being really busy
M. L. B.
Always nice food at a really good price especially the breakfast
G. W.
Out of the two Wetherspoons in Peterborough this one is the best. The staff are always friendly and it attracts a good mix of customers from old to young. Great prices and the food is always good. The booths are defiantly the best part of the pub so I hope they don’t get rid of them when the pub gets a much needed refurbishment. The toilets defiantly need a make over though.
r. r.
We waited 30 mins to get to order are drinks and good 20 mins later 5 staff member kept saying 2 mins and never came back , and 6th member came and her name was Billie and she was the most helpful person every she helped us with every single thing we asked , and I give these 5 stars only to her alone DIAMOND LADY 100%
T. “. L.
Had a great night here but its cheap for a reason..the service was shocking and food average at best
A. P.
99 pence for a pint of a Ruddles best bitter 🍺
Say no more
Real good value 🙂
T. S.
Cracking little pub , me and the lads were out on a mad away day and we had an hours stop in Peterborough so we decided to venture into this amazing pub. Will definitely be returning for that Poetry night they have can’t wait. WOW words can describe the night out I had I there, already recommended it to the family will return. The pub goers in there was very welcoming, food was class lad, absolutely quality the end. Xx
R. S.
Staff are all very friendly, Food is okay, good price on drinks.
D. R.
Chris opened this place in 2005 and it's been perfect ever since. Good guest ales, great atmosphere, good food, the best pub quiz in Peterborough! I would never want this pub to change now, I have such an emotional connection to it.
L. K.
Good prices, good food and drink, helpful staff. Could do with some extra staff to save waiting times.
J. C.
Very good service, pleasant staff and food cooked really well
M.
Good selection of ales, food is acceptable for a fair price, Popular venue for the older generation during the early part of the day. Looks a little run down and needs some deep cleaning. Not a particularly nice environment to eat due to the cleanliness and a smell that reminded me of a retirement home.
J. C.
This pub has good staff at the bar so good service. It is bright and airy in the front but a little bit small at the back past the bar area but that doesnt take anything away from my visit. Popular place as is near the train station and the bus station so nice and handy.
A. d. g.
The Draper's Arms is a very nice bar with great food and drinks along with a good ambience. The service is great.Located near the city centre , this pub has a very English feeling to it. There are sports options in the TV and also few game options.Children are allowed till 9 pm.The food is really good.
P. W.
Typical wetherspoons, you know what your getting.
L. H.
Not the best Wetherspoons that I've been to. Menu was more limited than the last one I went to, in Windsor.
We came at the tail end of lunchtime and tables didn't seem to have been cleared for a while. A couple of nice booths were reserved for times long past and yet no one had shown up - the reserved notices just left on them. Quite crowded and we chose what seemed to be one of the cleaner tables and cleared it ourselves.
Food wasn't anything special - the peas that came with the fish and chips and with the sausage and mash tasted very odd and the mash was actually inedible. No horseradish available. Staff was nice but harried and overworked. Not a place I'll ever bother going back to.
F. O.
Good value for money especially the meal deals love that you can get San peligrino or RWhites raspberry lemonade in the options and of course unlimited coffee for £1.20. I like the cosy booths inside and the app makes ordering super easy
K. J.
Nice steak and chips tasty beer. Really good quality and value
J. F.
We had an impromptu day here wating the six nations. They don't normally watch it (I know, can you believe it!), but the staff where happy to put it on. We had great service throughout the day and evening and the food was pretty good to. Would pay it a visit if back in town again.
J. F.
Nice place for a meal that doesn't break the bank, reasonable service
A. G.
Gone there for a takeaway..it was smooth and swift.. food tastes good and price is also reasonable.
C. G.
Visited here on a rainy Sunday afternoon in March. Good choice of beers lagers and wines. Usual choice of Wetherspoons meals. Speedy table service by friendly staff. Well done on the warning about the noise from the floor above, due to repairs in the gents. Not so well done on forgetting to include Avacado in a Avacado & Bacon Salad meal ! The clue is in the name. Quickly rectified though once pointed out to the staff.
K. M.
We visited on a Saturday night. It was quite busy, but we used the Wetherspoons App and ordered our drinks and food from our table . They arrived in a short amount of time. Staff friendly and efficient. Food pub standard and inexpensive.
M. R.
Most Wether spoons pubs are a bit grim with really badly kept beer. This is the only one I've found that is nice to go to.
Here the beer is mucvh better kept and staff much friendlier.
Food is the same old stuff as you usually get but there are much better places for food nearby so just got for a good value for money well kept cask ale.
Ambience good too.
s. w.
Friendly, clean and reasonably priced 😃
J. G.
Great food and good prices
f.
Only there for 1 quick pint, but all good
J. C.
Nice feel to the place. Good food. Great service. Been before and would go again.
S. A.
Very good place to hangout
r. l.
We have been gong to this pub every Tuesday for breakfast. Normally the best in Peterborough for food, service and drinks. Not today! Waited 15+ mins at the counter asked a young lad if anybody serving he said yes and walked away to talk to a customer at a table, they already had food and drinks. WE LEFT AND WENT ELSEWHERE. we hope this is not things to come.
B. W.
This is an almost perfect pub. The booths are always a fantastic place to hide away from the world, alone or with a group. Prices are very affordable and the selection broad. I never have a bad time in Draper's.
J. H.
Just had three pints and a large mixed grill. All very good.
W. L.
Wetherspoons, cheap drink and food.
Nice outside space.
K. D.
Cheap food and drinks. Pretty much a standard Weatherspoons experience. Sticky tables, suspect toilets but always a great place to stop in for a craft beer at a good price. Can get very busy at weekends.
R. L.
Perfect stop on my way to the footy cheap beer 🍺
S. J.
Just like for like as in all Wetherspoons hence the 4 stars had a breakfast there which was very nice.
B. S.
Very reasonable cost clean big and good staff again wheelchair accessible good option of vegetarians and vegans food and good geal of food and drinks at reasonable price
D. G.
Very nice pub with a good atmosphere, cheap beer, good location and excellent bar staff
I. B.
Every time we are passing through Peterbrough, either to or from the wife's parents, always try and make an effort to pop in for a jar or two. For a Wetherspoons establishment, they have a better than average selection of beers available and I believe they have won national awards for such. The beer has always been well kept and the bar staff are very friendly.
G. P.
Very pleasant staff,and quick service
J. A.
Very good but very busy at the moment but got seated very quickly and staff very helpful.
Very good prices but very warm in some spots of the pub.
S. H.
Ok place, but menu doesn't change & is limited if you want to eat healthily. The disabled toilet is always dirty, the toilet seat is Never cleaned & doesn't fit properly & it almost always has water & urine on the floor! If you complain it makes no difference!
K. E.
It's a Weatherspoons. I would like more craft beers but the stuff they have is fine. Good service!
K. S.
Can not fault the food or service. The only thing that spoilt our visit was a table of very loud and noisey guys. The staff did warn them to quiten down, but on the whole they were not going to stop. Much louder then was needed even for town centre bar.
M. R.
The only place I can use my CamRA vouchers, but truth be told I'd be here anyway. They look after the ale, they have a good choice of ciders, and the food is at least as good as any other chain. But they do all that at a decent price. Do I come here because they're better than the competition or because they're cheaper? I honestly don't know but both reasons are 100% valid.
A. H.
Great bar. Food good. Friendly helpful staff
M. E.
I've only ever been here for breakfast which sounds strange as this is a pub, but the food here is good, and a t a reasonable price. However the People sitting there too are not great as they are rude, but otherwise, the pub itself is definitely worth a visit.
R. C.
Great place for breakfast and drinks
S. J.
Very busy weatherspoons pub located between the city centre and the railway station, at peak times food orders can be as much as an hour wait, staff were good and the usual selection of drinks/ food that u expect from this chain.
J. D.
This Wetherspoons is a bit run down. Food took a long time on our Sunday visit and when it came the complex stuff was microwaved and bits like added avocado was obviously a few days old. To be fair, the taste of my food was good, but obviously heated from frozen.
Try to ignore the mouse poison stations, worn carpets and deteriorating toilets and then maybe this would be a good place for a pint rather than food.
K. K.
You know what you get with Wetherspoons. Cheap n cheerful but well worth the money. Staff and service fine.
L. P.
Very busy on a Saturday lunch time but the food was quick to arrive. We like wetherspoons a lot because it is cheap and cheerful . The only downside is that you have to shout to be heard as it's very noisy.
J. M.
Horrendously busy! Excellent value and a good menu. Have been here a couple of times and usually manage to get a table but so busy this time had to leave! Well done for being so busy!
P. E.
Typical witherspoon food was very good though
J. O.
Very busy and took a little while to find a table. Once we did it was sticky and not cleaned. We stayed for 2 drinks and no attempts were made to clean the table. Good atmosphere though.
D. K.
Good pub and staff . If you like cheap pre formed food you'll like the food here too. Breakfast is the only meal I would recommend. It's nobodies here's fault but the pub chains management. Sort it out ...
M. W.
Thankfully it was quiet otherwise wouldn't have used it.
Being old found app useless but great servers to talk to made the whole experience great people make this place
J. B.
Good service and I good price
M. G.
Top quality food. Something quite basic, but tastes great and very cheap too
S. K.
It's a wetherspoons not much to add, like a lot of spoons not a lot of natural daylight, the ales are well kept and don't seem to get to many rouwdy people in there, on the odd of occasion I’ve seen some they have been dealt with quite swiftly.
J. N.
One of the best Spoons I visit.
C. B.
Really nice place to go for a drink if you are not interested in loud music my favourite drinking establishment
S. M.
If you don't mind the corporate blandness of Wetherspoons, then you know what to expect...
This is value for money, has consistent, good ales and aside from some of the Michael Jackson 'Thriller Video' Zombie rabble it attracts, it is pleasant enough. A vast improvement on the other Peterborough 'spoons waste of a great building, the College Arms.
S. S.
Great local pub for residents down Thorpe Road with a popular and fun pub quiz hosted by Chris every Wednesday from 8pm. Being a Wetherspoons it offers great value for money, with friendly staff and a good selection of real ales, wines and spirits.
I. T.
Love Wetherspoons in the heart of Peterborough.
A. H.
Weatherspoons and town centre.
enough said.
p.
Really nice pub. The usual excellent Wetherspoon, beer, service and quality food for a very good price. Can get busy on football days though so be aware when PUFC are playing at home.
L. S.
Best prices, amazing meals. Good vegan selection
B. J.
Nice wee place, had a visitor over who really liked how quaint it was
A.
Very quick service and could not fault cost of drinks and food.
Order through the app
D. M.
Today was my visit since the referb and lockdown 👍covid measures in place with ordering on the app & staff bringing to your table while wearing a face cover 👏the roof garden was lovely sat out in the sun today
S. W.
Setting nice sitting outside on patio. Big breakfast very nice. Lower stars as arrived luke warm.
T. F.
Really fabulous breakfast, ate like a king at paupers prices AND free percolated coffee...only came here because the so called four star Bull Hotel is a shameful excuse of a breakfast and dismal service. IF ONLY EVERYONE DID A REAL ENGLISH BREAKFAST LIKE WETHERSPOONS. FIVE STAR SERVICE *****
B. B.
We love the sky bar it was a great place to have a family drink the staff were great and we felt totally safe with the hygiene precautions and the social distancing
C. N.
Prompt service and great breakfast . Good selection of ales too
B. B.
Generally good food for the price,. Wines and beers cheap. Great value steak night (tuesdays) and curry night (thursdays) where you get a drink with your meal.
P. B.
Can't fault anything about my visits, clean, friendly staff
R. D.
Very good. The team behind the bar really look after you. They make every effort to make sure that you enjoy yourself and it is easy to be drawn back. A great experience
M. J.
Relaxing & enjoying for food & drinks 😀👍
D. L.
Nice layout, ordering from the table was easy. Staff very nice and accommodating.
J. M.
Great once again both enjoyed a mixed grill and a good pint .
s. F.
Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful with our needs
P. G.
Good pub and food, beers change regularly. One disadvantage can be crowded, which is not a bad thing, but not if you are after a quiet drink. One of the best pubs in Peterborough.
D. w.
It's alright. A good place to meet mates.
R. A.
It's a comfy and cheep pub.
P. D.
It's really close to the centre of town...really nice feel...loads of people come in from the outskirts of Peterborough...and it sounds like they don't go to this pub everyday....much better than the average spoons
L.
Cheap food good quality excellent service
By lovely waiter
J. N.
Really love the food and definitely coming back again sometime
F. A.
Very nice place to have a quick meal. Lots of space, good food options & lots of beer options. Both me & my wife liked it.
L.
Cracking little spot went there with the boyz for a naughty night out was quality, class from the staff tbf the poetry night was class me and the lads listened to some inspirational poems really makes me look at life in a different way. In conclusion deffo recommend 10/10
O. S.
Good pub, great prices. It can get very busy especially on a Friday or weekend so it can be hard to get seats sometimes so arrive early especially if you are part of a group larger than 4.
H. A.
Location and interior are brilliant, beer garden is amazing especially in dark. Food is unfortunately usual Wetherspoons.
J. E.
Nice place to go, very busy would recommend you use the app so you don't have to wait at the bar, as people cut in front of you to order there drinks.
J. P.
Absolutely delicious food and a fantastic service
D. S.
Staff helpful & polite. .food was good..drinks were excellent
D. “. C.
Very nice interior, clean and comfortable, great beer garden downstairs and upstairs, friendly staff and your usual selection of Wethers value food & drink
c. s.
Ordering is done at table via the app or qr code on the table. Service was excellent
B. C.
Cheap and cheerful food and drinks. Decent atmosphere. Parking is a short walk away, Bridge Street seems the closest. No pool or darts though.
C. M.
Great place to meet friends for food and drinks. Good menu with plenty of choice and great price too. Brilliant selection of drunks available
D. J.
Its a weatherspoons. Proberbly the dirtiest one I've been in.
H. R.
Food was excellent as usual, we like to visit a Wetherspoons everytime we go somewhere (we are coach drivers) have been in some amazing places and some which are just nice.. This place is a nice place, food good, clean, and staff were polite and attentive. .
C. C.
Very comfortable, nice friendly staff, good range of beers.
Y. D.

Excellent, very cheap coffee, free refills, as many as you like, nice latte.
D. P.
Decent Weatherspoons with some decent ales. Excellent value for breakfasts of course.
H. S.
Excellent cheap, brilliant beer garden on second floor captures the dying sun
N. C.
Great selection of beer and very reasonably priced. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food always hits the spot
I. G.
We did not actually stay here. The place was so crowded. I think that it is proof of a good pub. Meals looked good at low prices.
R. D.
Great food, you can take a seat and order and pay via an app on your phone. Blimey today's technology... Brilliant!!
N. K.
Excellent. Went on a Sunday evening and ate the Lamb Shank which was huge and very tasty. There was a poetry night on and thoroughly enjoyed it. 😁👍🏾

Always an excellent choice of beers and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Nice to have a Welsh beer on for St David's Day none of the "big" stores bothered.
M. K.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening, great prices and choice.
O. D.
Great location, lovely food at bargain prices and great selection of drinks with some of the best tasting draughts in Peterborough. Definitely worth a visit if your looking for something on a budget with a welcoming atmosphere.
P. K. (.
Small wait for food but worth it. Tried the Wetherspoons app for the first time to get drinks and service was quick. Highly recommend.
n. b.
Watherspoons cheap prices on drinks. Afternoon crowd of shoppers later more drinkers. Staff not having the best day on boxing Day.
G. o. S.

Д. К.
Great atmosphere, good selection of drinks, delicious food! Recommend!
J. V.
Just regular pub standard food and service ... Not great and not bad .. every time we been in it's impossible to find a clean table and all the staff just concentrated on the bar no proper floor service
G. W.
Still the best pub in Peterborough. Staff and the manager are always friendly and it’s even better now after the refurb.
a. b.
It's a Wetherspoons. The carpet is the only thing different between here and all the others in the chain. Only redeeming feature is that it is 100 times better than the other 'spoons in Peterborough.
C. F.
Service and food was really good.
Pleasantly surprised.
l.
A nice place plenty of space and great selection of drinks
C. C.
Excellent service Tom the guy with long beard deserves employee of the month helpful and friendly.

Very busy with good beer and great choice. In need of a freshen up maybe but Tim Wetherspoon does a fantastic job.
A. C.
Very outdated and always smells! Toilets are really REALLY bad...BUT...they are getting a gigantic renovation over xmas time so might change rating then :)

G. R.
Always a pleasant experience. The food is always good for the money washed down with a couple drinks(gins)
R. F.
