Easily the best of Peterborough’s pubs. A very friendly and quirky independent back street boozer in the middle of pboro town centre. Real ales, some craft beer lines, and specialises in gin and rums. Varied live music most thurs-Sundays. Lovely small beer garden. Pool table. Not really a food pub but does pies.

Loved this pub. Tucked away in a corner back street but such a great find. Friendly, smiley and welcoming staff and a varied and unusual wide choice of beers to choose from. The wine was a good one too. Love the atmosphere of the outdoor seating. Apparently the music nights are great too. I will definitely be back on my next visit !

Vibrant city centre pub, excellent beer range. Slightly 'dippy' barmaid, think she knows it. Live music features regularly, semi covered rear courtyard.

This is a truly great pub, whether it's for an lunchtime drink before the football, avoiding getting involved in the shopping or for live music. Tucked away up a side street but in the centre of town. Exceptional range of draught beer. Two ran out within ten minutes of opening on Saturday but don't panic - there's always Plan B! Spacious beer garden which is a sun trap if the weather's being kind. Rarely visit Peterborough without calling in. If you're yet to have discovered this true gem, track it down and ENJOY!!

Daytime was fab, great choice of music but could do with speakers outside too. Went back on evening and was super busy, had to wait outside. Live music on site and really fit redhead barmaid. Overall experience was a good one.

Nice unique pub, nice beer garden for the ones who like the outdoors in the sunny sunshine opportunities. Yes there is Live music on occasions so popin and check it out. Very unique indeed on the ales!

Always good music and quick service, the garden has heaters which is very nice, the toilets are always clean and they have a pool table, which is so rare around Peterborough these days and really puts the cherry on the cake.

This Place is The Best Live Music Venue in Peterborough. Step aside Met Lounge. If you want to see a good originals band and love the live music scene. The Ostritch is the place to go play and have fun. Great bar staff, really professional sound Guy, Who did a fantastic Job. Really rate the sound in the Ostritch. The management where so friendly and clearly want to give Peterborough a new grassroots venue. The Ostritch is not the pub it was 6 Years ago 🤣 Its not one the best venues for any new band to play ✌️ I reccomend it to any Band.

Great public house, has a large clientele.Very popular with both the regulars and young people Staff are particularly friendly and helpful. Good selection of ales. I met with the Palmy Ukulele PUB band to practice. Tight squeeze as the pub was busy but nevertheless successful practice Ps I am not in the band only sing as a visitor. Pub I would reccomend.

Little out the way traditional venue with friendly staff serves good condition beers that regularly change and no TV (hooray), an outside area,, sometimes they have live music which is well attended they also have an new fangled juke box and is one of the few pubs in Peterborough City Centre that is Dog friendly, a large choice of ales, lagers, ciders & a great selection of gins.

Definitely a contender for Peterborough's best pub! Staggering selection of well kept beer. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, gorgeous well maintained and clean premises. Always several well kept beers on tap and if you're lucky enough to be there at the right time some delicious pub grub. Covid 19 precautions are being well adhered to and I felt very safe and comfortable. A good place to go if you're a little nervous about taking those first steps out.

The Ostrich is a great place to have a craft beer or cider with an extensive range on offer. Oh also has a large range of different gins, so if your a gun fan don't forget to ask! Indoor seating is comfortable and outdoor beer garden and seating which is comfortable, clean and tidy. Regular live music on the weekends from bands from all over the world, highly recommend checking the line up on Facebook. Do get there early as it does usually get full quickly. The pub offers a range of experiences with a fairly full calendar of events throughout the week. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Not only does this place have an excellent selection of gins, it also boasts the best jukebox situation in town, some wonderful interior artwork which supports upcoming and established local artists in a welcoming setting, accomodating staff who will serve you with enthusiasm or a tired affectionate lack thereof, a cosy beer garden with a lot of hidden details, ample seating for a seemingly small establishment, and a good place to go almost every single week to hang out and catch up with people and just wind the freakin heck down.
