N. B.Great friendly pub with a long beer garden down to the river.
I was from out of town, on my own, and made to feel welcome.
T. T.New landlord and a new look garden! Very nice surroundings, dogs welcome, super friendly staff even got some free roasties to nibble on while we had our drinks. We'll be back!

K. M.Went in for a drink on Father's Day, friendly atmosphere, full of locals, limited selection of drinks but the staff are willing to accommodate :)

P.These premises have been the backbone of traditional standground the landlord and his staff over the past bad years have suffered pain due to to someone who does not understand what village pubs are about . The staff great helpful smiling and sometimes typical Stanground but beers lagers spirits all good. The gardens to the river make this one of the last unique village pubs .interesting choice of food but the quality good atmosphere worthy of many a visit
j.Just had a delicious roast at The Woolpack, Stanground. The food was fantastic, all home cooked, from quality produce by David, who came and checked on us. David was friendly and genuine as were the bar staff. The pub itself is mid sized and had a warm, friendly atmosphere with a good mix of locals. The prices for the roast were very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. I will visit again when I'm in the area and recommend you visit too!

N. F.This is a great cozy place, with excellent friendly hosts and a good choice of beers. We were a party with small children and a dog and we were genuinely welcomed. The food was quickly served and good portions, but most of all, very tasty. Cannot wait to call in again.
m. a.Nice to find a good honest traditional back street pub with a good range of beer. Friendly staff. I sure it would be lovely in the summer as it backs on to the river and has a pleasant garden, delightful seperate dining room extention to the rear. Keep up the good work

M. L.This is a great traditional pub having been taken over by new owner who has a great vision. Real ales and craft beers straight from the keg. Garden has been revamped and improvements to the river frontage make it New outdoor cooking area with pizza oven and soon to be refurbished barn for a restaurant and events.

J. G.This is a proper pub serving well taken care of beer in a couple of rooms full of the clutter that builds up naturally over the years. There is a quiet garden reaching down to the river, it must be said that the path to the garden lacks charm, but still, no chain could hope to emulate the wonderful and welcoming atmosphere the Woolpack has. Cannot wait to try a Sunday roast.

G. H.A very local pub. However they are friendly and make you feel welcome. The interior will transport you back to the 50s. 1850s that is. On a sunny day you can take your beer out back and walk down to the river.

K. C.The mooring is quite small, old and rickety. We have a 58ft and had to use the anchor due to someone living right next to the mooring so they could get there boat out. Lovely couple that run the place. Boaters beware of difficulty x
