Great night out. Watched the Wales v France 6 Nations rugby, had a few beers & listened to a really good live musician in the pub. The landlords are on top of their game.

My first visit! Have been following Posh at home for eons,but always head into town; but my brother in law whom came down for the Forest game a couple of weeks ago,mentioned this place! Off the beaten track, busy but not overwhelmed,and very pleasant! Enjoyed a pint in there in a relaxing atmosphere,will return!

Went to this pub years ago, wasn't very good back then. Decided to take another look when I saw a sign outside saying "6 real ales'. What a great pub it is now! Great range of beers and very cozy! Large seating area out the back. Will be going back when next in Peterborough.

Visited The Yard Of Ale whilst on a tour of some of the smaller and quite unique micro pubs and breweries. Lovely friendly atmosphere and equally friendly and welcoming staff,and a good selection of ales,and if you are feeling really confident, have your favourite ale in the yard of ale glass and try downing the three or so pints in one go or just sit,chat and enjoy a pint at your own pace,enjoyable time spent here.

A lovely pub, central location. A good range of ales and ciders. We enjoyed the band playing and could watch the live cricket as well.

Friendly, great beers, a proper old fashioned pub which is becoming rarer and rarer. Well worth a visit at any time of day. It's handy for Peterborough United FC so great for a pre match drink, but not a lairy football pub, just a great place for a quiet drink where you can meet the locals as a travelling fan.
