A great place to be based in Plymouth surrounded by plenty of bar, restaurants and cafes. The room we had, had a great view of the harbour and concidering it was above the bar it was not noisy at all apart from the early morning seagulls. The room Was cosy with small but functional ensuite bathroom. The only downside we has was there was no air conditioning in the room or a fan as we went down during the recent hot weather we have had and even with leaving the windows open it was still very hot in the room. Apart from that we can't fault it, but they don't do bed and breakfast it's just room only but there is plenty or places to go eat nearby

Very nice place with a lovely outdoor seating area. I am gluten free so decided to go with a GF barbecue Chicken pizza. Beat GF pizza I’ve ever had. Staff were really nice and friendly. Definitely will be coming back!

Perfect location. 30secs from Mayflower Steps. Hotel room is spotless, bedding and towels pure white. Changed daily. Room clean. Furniture solid oak, no flat pack flimsy stuff! Great shower. Huge bathroom. Highly recommended.

It's all about the location and it can't be better. Pay for the rooms with a harbour view - it's worth it! Parking is an easy walk and cheap considering the location. Photo is a morning view across the harbour.

This little gem has (what tourists don't know) is where the real Mayflower steps is hidden, only fortunately men can't go in as its the ladies loos. The drink menu is classic, local and extensive and its right next to the waters edge. Their Tuesday pub quiz is excellent! Had a great time the other week attending.. And... Winning.. Tehe.. Classic and lively pub for locals, younglings and oldies alike

Very lovely and accommodating. Check in wasn't next to be untill 15.00 but due to going to a wedding I needed the room sooner they made sure my room was ready for me and my daughter at 11.30. Also I was pleased to say it wasn't to nooseither being above the pub! The only small thing I'd say is the room was a lite chilly

Nice little bar on the edge of the popular Barbican.... It's location means it's less busy than the other bars in the centre area. Ideal bar to drop in for a quick drink whilst you are on the move

I know Google says Admiral is temporarily closed but it is not ;) Pub is open and welcoming thirsty travellers in the garden opposite the road . I agree with one of the reviewers who said that it is ideal place for everyone returning from Mount batten ferry ;). I have spent there half of the day, cliff walking, and I was dreaming to have a 🍺 which I now enjoy 🙀. Don't miss it 🙂

My daughter treated me to an overnight stay and the location is amazing. It suited us well for a night out at the Plymouth Pavillions. The room was clean and comfortable with nice bed linen. It's probably not the place to go if you need a quiet night as the Admiral MacBride pub and Barbican are lively and buzzing but we were out late so found it ideal.

Stayed in the area for work, good selection ales, proper pub atmosphere just off the busy marina, outside area you can sit if you like to enjoy the weather. Amazing selection of music while I was there.

As a pub it is small and cozy and reasonably priced. We Stayed in a room which was very clean, nicely decorated, the view to the marina great. They were asking us if we want to have the room cleaned every day which is rare this period. The room was just outside the bus stop, also too many motorbikes in the city and the windows were not sound or weather proof. The bed was horrible and small for a double. If you are not coming for one day or you are not less than 30yrs old better try to find something else. Shower, a little TV , kettle with unlimited tea and coffee all else good.

It's a brillant place to eat your lunch outside on there benches. They allow you to bring your own food as long as you buy drinks from them. They are very accommodating and worth stopping by to have a drink or 3 🙂

Nice traditional Plymouth Pub. Been there for as long as I can remember, on the edge of the Barbican by the Mayflower Steps. Old wooden floors and tables, leather chairs, bar stools. Background music but still able to chat ok. Good selection of drinks including real ales.

This is a traditional pub in a prime location. It serves as good range of beers and ale and is normally frequented by locals. Sometimes it can get a little rowdy. Nevertheless, it is a great pub, especially to start a Barbican pub crawl!

This is a great Pub - it doesn't pretend to be a food pub, but does offer a very good Bar Menu. The Crab Sandwich is the best on the Barbican. You can relax and enjoy a drink listening to the sounds of yesteryear (not the boom boom bang heard in other pubs). The staff are really attentive and friendly. Top Pub on the Barbican for sure!

Is a lovely placed out pub, the decoration of it is really nice, the crab sandwiches r beautiful, I really do like it I would definitely have a pop in, the only thing I noticed ( went in about 2 times a week if more) the ladies who owns it was getting more and more drunk the more we went in, she was no bother but she mixed up a order one time and another was she was staggering abit and her man sent her in the back, not suitable at all.

Sauber, tolle Lage in der Ausgehzone. Der Pub scheint nicht so angesagt. Abends leer. Zimmer mit Meerblick unter der Woche zu empfehlen. Hintere Zimmer nur anscheinend ruhiger, leider gibt es dort eine Klima/Kühlanlage, die gefühlt durchgehend läuft. (Translated) Clean, great location in the nightlife area. The pub doesn't seem that hip. empty in the evening. Room with a sea view recommended during the week. Rear rooms only apparently quieter, unfortunately there is an air conditioning/cooling system that feels like running all the time.
