Great welcoming team, popped in for drinks then came back later to have a taste of the menu. Have to say the food was OUTSTANDING!!! ( Had the 1/4lb burger with cheese and bacon - HUGE!! and the honey ham, egg and chips - again HUGE!!) so much flavour, great portion sizes and in my opinion VERY cheaply priced. I wholeheartedly recommend!! Thank you to all the team 👍

Once again a excellent Christmas Meal for our works gathering. 12 men all very satisfied with their meal, hot tasty fresh produce very well presented. We were served by friendly attentive staff who were very professional making sure we all received our meals together. Compliments to the chef...... we will definitely be back for our 7th year..... On Aug. 6, 2022, I had dinner at Crown and Anchor with a Trafalgar tour. I had a pasta dish, I think called Pasta Napolitano. It was the best pasta dish I ever had in any restaurant in USA, Italy or Sicily. I would love to have the recipe if at all possible. Lauren was my waitress and her service was outstanding. It was the best dinner I had on the 20 day trip. Thank you for the great memory of a perfect dinner.

Came here on a very bleak day outside for the "titanic" breakfast I'd heard from the family and locals! £10.95 and a choice of drink........... I couldn't have been any happier! I'm a really big fan of a fry up........ And this was near perfect!! No grease...... Perfectly cooked....... Coffee was nice and after 20 minutes of solid eating........ I was happily victorious!! Here on the 11th December for a roast dinner with all the mates available! Steaming hot and very tasty food as always! Staff too were a good laugh and felt really well looked after! Tonia the manager was really lovely too!

Came down for the Sunday Roast Menu Went for the 2 course option. Portion sizes were incredible and the flavour was amazing. Chicken Liver Parfait, highly recommend and ANY of their roast dinners. Great tender meat, homemade Yorkshire puddings and each vegetable is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Partnered with this you get FANTASTIC service. Kind, fun and attentive and very personable and professional. We were served by Oli Who made our first visit awesome so we will be back again! 2 courses were a little too much for my appetite and there was no question of the quality of food. The chefs care. Live sport on and good music at a nice volume, lovely atmosphere... Even had a magician going table to table... Knocked it out of the park for our first time! Guinness - perfect, great glass threading and clear Jail Ale - Cellar cooled and crisp full bodied flavour Reccomend!

We just went in on the off chance , never been there before .The food and service was AMAZING 👏 A few different options from the usual pub food.I had the chicken tagliatelle, which was incredible. Wonderful amount ,could hardly finish ,but I did Cooked in a beautiful sauce .FANTASTIC. My partner had the chilli which was also superb Although I had to take their word for it as they wouldn't share 🙂 A great deal of pubs and restaurants to choose from BUT..... THE CROWN AND ANCHOR WAS SENSATIONAL. Can thoroughly recommend it 👌

Once again the Crown and Anchor and the ‘Cranchor Crew’ showed why they are the best bar/restaurant on the Barbican !!! Had a Mothers Day meal and the food was quite simply incredible and the portions were so big that we couldn’t finish them.......and I’m a big lad that loves his food 😉👍. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly HIGHLY recommended if you are ever on the Barbican and looking for excellent food and a relaxed atmosphere. You will not be disappointed with The Crown and Anchor’s food and staff 👌

Lively sports bar overlooking Sutton harbour. Well kept cask ales and rather busy as it was Saturday evening. It did get very busy so we did leave after two drinks but that's nothing against the pub, just couldn't hear ourselves think.

Lovely traditional pub, with great food, a fantastic view, and staff handling social distancing extremely professionally in a friendly manner. A good mixture of social locals, students, and the occasional tourist makes for a nice atmosphere. Loved the vegan burger, and the price of the pints!

Went here for brunch, two had vegan breakfast and one meat eater breakfast. Young lady behind the bar was welcoming and friendly. The vegan breakfast consisted of hash browns, vegan sausages, baked beans, half a tomato and mushrooms. I was satisfied with the amount of food but would have liked a slice of toast instead of mushrooms but that's just a personal choice.

Staff were attentive, food was lovely. Had Duck and orange Pate on toast for starter and Gammon roast for main. Both were very nice. Roast came with lots of veg and very flavoursome. Quite a small building so could get quite loud, but not an unnerving atmosphere.

Wonderful pub. I was there late Oct 2019. Very impressed with bar staff Ollie and Milly. Some older men having a quiet one at the bar. Both Ollie and Milly were excellent listeners, with great empathy and patience. They should be cloned. Oh, and a very nice quiet drink or two for me from Melbourne.

Best pub on the Barbican selling great roast dinners with a tasty nut roast. Six of us turned up without a booking and it didn't faze the staff at all, the food was fresh and delicious and came out quickly. I'm going back to sample the Vegan menu as the choices are good.

Me and my mate popped in , soon has we walked through the door we felt very welcome and comfortable. All the people who works there what we saw at time we popped in was really nice ,so thumbs up to you all . Also like say foods very good also I've never seen such a B.L.T toasted sandwich was massive but bloody lovely . PS sorry I didn't finish the B.L.T. Anyway if never been I would highly recommend it. Great and friendly staff. My recommendation is to ask to be seated upstairs near the window that overlooks the Mayflower steps. It gives you more of a quite dinner and if you go with your man/woman then it's probably the best seat available.

The starter started well, large portions and well presented. Sadly the mains where not so appealing. The Thai fish curry, seemed to have been cooked well ahead and warmed up in the microwave, the fish was hard to find in the gluppy mess, but potato was in abundance, in all my travels across Asia i have never had potato in a Thai fish curry, I would award the starter 4 star, the overall Crown & anchor experience 4 but the mains was a big let down.
