S. P.Very friendly. Beautiful beer garden, food was delishous, I had the chicken and gammon pie and my husband who is gluten free had the Portuguese steak, kids all had burgers and chips. Large meals, kids couldn't finish theirs. Left feeling satisfied :) pay when you order as they said they'd had people leaving without paying during busy times.
m. k.We stopped here unexpectedly on our travels, we were just looking for a quick bite. It looks like a small pub inside but barman advised there is a restaurant in the back and has opened it up for us as it was closed when we got there - very much appreciated, thank you!! Turned out to be a really nice place! Restaurant was pretty, there was a play area outside of it, a lot of choice of drinks and meals. Staff was lovely! We ended up having a really, really good meal!! They had some choices I've never seen, keep an eye on their specially flavoured chips, so nice!! Little treasure of a restaurant hiding there. If you are in the area, I would recommend a stop for a very nice evening meal!

F.Met with family from Kent, they have a great selection of nibbles, starters and mains, nibbles were like tapas at just £3 a dish, so delicious, we had camambert and black and blue burger for mains, both were lovely, the guy who attended put table was very personable and friendly, we will be visiting again.

G. 6.We were staying locally while we visited my grandparents and we went here for a meal. We'll what can I say. Lovely atmosphere, lovely bar tender, lovely service and lovely food you should definitely come here. Not only was the food lovely it came out really quickly too. If near it is a must go. People in the pub are lovely too. As well as dogs being welcome.
J.Quite a special place. Good food, friendly staff, beautiful beer garden and pub but the restaurant stands out considerably for the area. High ceilings and modern decor respectfully mixed with traditional. What a luxury to have comfortable sofas and coffee tables in such a bright, spacious but cozy environment. It easily takes the edge off having to drive the distance to visit.

T. K.Has a nice pub garden at the back which catches the sun in the afternoon / evening. Food was pretty decent overall, portion sizes good. Onion rings were pretty bad though, dripping with greasewith grease. My wife put one on a napkin and it practically saturated it. Sirloin Steak and chips were good.
Beer was nice. Nice pint of jail ale and offered the option between a normal pint glass or one with a handle which I thought was a nice touch as I do enjoy a pint glass with a handle.
Service was mixed. First lady we got was the best, kept checking in on us, really friendly and helpful, but mid meal she left (I presume her shift had ended), at which point we seemed to be totally forgotten about.

R.Upon reopening After the latest lockdown we had a Sunday roast take away and I'm glad to say it was delicious as ever, and good value too! It was a shame to see the pub change hands as the previous owners were very accommodating. Let's hope they've kept some of the same staff, we'll be back soon 🙂

R. F.My daughter’s original wedding day venue cancelled their booking 2 weeks before her wedding and this place saved the day! They decorated the function room beautifully, it definitely had the wow factor, the food was absolutely fantastic, you couldn’t fault it! The staff were very attentive, kind and helpful! They even provided a buffet for the evening, which was lovely! I have no hesitation in recommending them to all my friends and to everyone who reads these reviews, you will definitely not go wrong to come here, for a meal or a stay. Thank you all so much for everything you did to make my daughters wedding so memorable, it was appreciated by everyone who came!

Z. S.Lovely B&B in a tiny Devon village. Really friendly people run the place. The food wad outstanding, both breakfast and evening meal were spot on. The price is cheap considering the room I got was clean and spacious. Also the styling of the rooms was very cosy and comfortable. Would highly recommend.

M. H.The room was lovely and large enough two . The meals where very tasty and there was a very good selection. The portions were large enough to satify most people. Very friendly staff especialy the lady behind the bar that had a catch phase ( Perfect ). Loved the dog walking about making friends.
The only issue was the bathroom was shared but not made aware at the booking stage. WIFI was poor.
We will be booking again.
