M. C.This is a lovely little pub, a hidden Gem in Mannamead, Plymouth. The staff are very personable and easy to deal with. The food is also very good, with plenty of deals throughout the week to let you explore the menu. A reasonable range of drinks and reasonably priced I would 100% Recommend this Pub it's absolutely lovely!

D. W.Just OK, we were a group of 10, too big for them to cope with. When booking we had been told that not all the food would come out together which we found acceptable. However, there was lots on the menu they didn't have and the wait for service was not acceptable. Food was average, will return but not in a large group which is a shame as this pub is local to us all and we meet on a regular basis. New staff need an element of training, bar staff hadn't heard of 'bitter'!
A. N.Nine of us went to the " Golden Hind " for a friend's birthday celebration. We were served ( drinks and meals) by a lovely lady called Tanya. Jo is the manager and Braise is the chef.
We had 3 Hunters chicken. 3 fish and chips and 3 sausage and mash. The " seniors menu " you could have starters with main meal or main meal and desert for £ 6.99 which was /is a very decent portion.
The drinks are very reasonable too. Tanya was very attentive to us all and nothing was too much trouble. A very pleasant experience and we will be returning. Excellent value for money 💰 . Thank you for your service.

Had the Korean fried chicken burger which was absolutely quality the BBQ sauce was very flavorful and I left feeling full and satisfied. My friend had the BBQ bacon burger which he demolished.
Only complaint was the seat I was on was kinda falling apart which wasn't the best but overall a good experience
M. R.Very nice place, we've drunk and eaten here and enjoyed the atmosphere and people very much, it's a pub in one bar but has a lovely separate area to enjoy the good food, a very good mix for all tastes.
S. R.Nice pub. Good selection of reasonably priced food. I had salad but unfortunately it came without tomatoes and cucumbers, so basically just lettuce and yellow peppers! I mentioned it to the staff she came back saying the 'chef had run out of tomatoes'.
I good idea would be to mention this to the customer when it was ordered, so something else could have been chosen instead.
S. K.Lovely selection of food all freshly cooked. It's the perfect place to have lunch on weekdays as it's quiet and laid back with quick and friendly service. The picture below is their Rump Steak sandwich. Highly recommended, if you're not a veggie or vegan lol.
D. D.Had an amazing mixed grill here on Sunday it was quite late in the day about 3pm because we didn't get served in another pub we had booked for a Sunday roast at 1:30, so we left and went to the Golden Hind where the staff were very attentive and friendly.
The meal came out and the portion was very large and cooked to perfection we really both enjoyed the food and wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

M. A.Come here last week with my family who have travelled a long way and We all very much enjoyed our stay! I had the mixed grill and it was amazing, the food come out quickly and the staff were all very welcoming and lovely! Also very happy with the amount of beer they had to offer on draft! Me and my family will be coming back more often! Great place!

L. S.My time at The Golden Hind was brilliant. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the staff are very pleasant. The quality of food has improved massively since the new kitchen manager has taken over. The Golden Hind is definitely worth visiting and I can't wait to go back soon!

There were quite a few of us although an hours wait seemed a bit excessive for food.
One didn't eat the steak as it wasn't very good. Calamari bit tough, cheewy. No version of sugar free/diet lemonade available.
That said, food was pretty good otherwise.
Room for improvement but still worth a visit.

The staff were all very friendly especially the bar man tom, they all went out their way to engage with my little ones and get games and colouring sheets. The food was delicious and come out very quick. Can definitely recommend the brownie for afters! Will definitely return again and is our new favourite place to visit with the family.

The staff are polite and friendly, the food has a good price point and is absolutely out of this world. Not just pub food!!! The pub is warm and welcoming and they seem to have a lot of local customers, I was here Saturday and it was heaving!! But that didn't stop us enjoying our food and night out. M. P.Visited Tuesday under the government scheme. Food was amazing and came out very quickly considering the pub looked quite full. It's nice to see somewhere thriving again. The decor was nice and seemed to be on going works, amenities was generally a very warm, welcoming pub. The team where impeccable, and couldn't do enough to help us, whilst clearly following covid-19 restrictions.

While we were eating unfortunately their chef had had to go home unwell so no food was being served after that, however they still honoured the rest of our stay and even still sorted deserts for us. The atmosphere was not great seeing as people were being turned away for food and so it was quiet but considering the situation they handled it very well so top marks still. Also we enjoyed the music choices.

P.Great for a pint or two, but I can't recommend eating there. We've had two meals, the first was a nice gammon steak and was good. The second was a chicken roast, and was quite possibly the worst meal out we've ever had. Will not risk paying for another.

c. w.After sitting in traffic taking the kids to mcdonalds after bowling. We decided to leave mcdonalds and try the golden hind. We was not to sure it would suit our kids 2 and 3 year olds but it did. All staff greeted us and found us a table and a high chair. We ordered food with lots of options for the kids. Food only took 25mins concidering the pub was really busy. Food for kids was great and not too hot as we asked not to leave it under the kitchen lights. My wife and I had steak cooked mid rare. This was done to perfection. In all great pub food and service was brilliant I would recommend to anyone. To all staff thank you so much for a excellent experience

t. f.We booked a reservation for 430 which we got there about 15 minutes earlier we went to the lounge where we were told we did not have a reservation but luckily a couple of tables were free we were then told that the chef was on a break till 5 so we would have to wait till then I wasn't asked if I wanted ice in my coke which I don't normally have then we had to watch football even though the main bar was playing it aswell The food was good but the plate had a crack in and my partner said the mens loo wasn't nice
